*Eric raised a brow as she asked what he was doing and he snorted.* I saw you taking a dip I thought I'd join ya. What's it look like Im doing? *He asked, peering back up at the deck through squinted eyes. He rolled his eyes at her next comment and laughed a little.* Yeah you looked like you could have gotten yourself out. *He grunted, glancing at Rose. The rope was starting to bother his waist and he was soaked clear to the bone.
As he felt Evelyn shivver a bit he tightened his grip about her, instinctivly pulling her into him a bit, though since he was soaked as well he wasn't sure how warm that would keep her. However she tugged away from him and splashed into the water again. He was about to yell at her when he felt himself and Rose being pulled up and noted Evelyn was as well on her own rope.
As he and the Captains daughter were pulled over the edge he flopped onto the deck and rolled over on his back, coughing a bit as he blocked the rain from his face with his hands. He tipped his head to the side and saw Evelyn with a small smirk on her face and he knew exactly what she was thinking.* I told you. *He said simply, rising to his feet as he coughed again. He looked to Jack.* Best get her into warm clothes and into her cabin. Evy, I'll walk you to yours and you can get into some dry things. *He said, placing a hand upon her back.*

Evelyn coughed again, looking over to Rose as the other crewmates tended to her and she remained on all fours. She pulled back her soaked hair and she she shivered a bit. The winds were cold and harsh and she was exhausted from fighting the storm with having to keep another person in her tight grasp. She felt a somewhat warm hand upon her back and she nodded, not wanting to argue with anyone too much at the moment, although at the moment she wasn't in the best mood. "Righ'..." she stated as she struggled to stand a bit.
"Evelyn! My God what happened?" came a smooth voice and Eve looked up to see Luis running towards her. She stumbled forward a bit, muttering a few words. " 'M alright mate...no need ta worry..." she began as he went to her side and helped her stand still. He placed one of her arms about his waist. "Well, Evelyn, please, let me do the honors of assisting you." he told her with a greasy grin. Taking her with him slowly, they made their way over the deck towards the cabins.
Evelyn blinked in the rain a bit and shook her head. "No...wait..." she began to say but was pulled along a bit. She looked back over at the crew and Eric but decided not to fight it. Instead she would let herself be led away at the moment. She was tired, wet, cold, and her voice was fading now from the yelling she had done while in the water. Luis would never be able to place a hand on her anyways, she thought. She might be out of it at the moment...but she could still fight back if she needed to.

*Eric rolled his eyes a bit but kept from saying anything as Luis came rushing towards Evelyn, acting so eager to assist her back to her cabin, which Eric had been wanting to do. He stood there and watched as the man wisked her away and he scowled, shaking his head. No, he wasn't going to back down again. He did that too often.
He trotted towards her and without saying a word scooped her up from behind, slipping one arm beneath the bend of her knees and another about her back as he glanced at Luis.* I said I'd take her. *He stated and rushed her towards her cabin. As he slipped through the door he quickly locked it to keep Luis out and he sat her down on the edge of the bed.
He glanced about the room then grabbed a fresh shirt and pair of pants and handed them to her, smiling a little.* There you go, Evy. That should warm you a bit. *He said, looking over her face with warm brown eyes. He grinned lopsided and thrust his hands in his pockets, forgetting that he too was soaked still.*

Evelyn headed away when suddenly she was lifted up and she blinked a bit. Looking over to who it was, she saw Eric's face. "Eric! Mate I'm alrigh'..." she stated but as he entered her cabin and locked it, placing her down on the bed she sighed heavily. "Eric I..." she was about to scowl at him when she noticed exactly why he had done that. He probably noted Eve's discomfort with Luis and inwardly she thanked him for what he did. As he handed her fresh clothes she took them with a half hearted smile and looked up at him. "Thanks Eric." she said simply.
She took the clothes and looked him over, then stood. "Thanks, fer everythin'. Ye really didn' have ta go in there you know, I could 'ave done it all myself." she said with a bit of a grunt as she began to wring out her long curls a bit. Her shirt hung loosely and she took off her soaked boots. "I can do..." she trailed off and thought about what she was about to say then shook her head a bit and proceeded. "Fine by myself...always have been." Eve's voice was stern and her eyes were cold as she looked up at him then turned away.
She half expected him to leave her this very moment, something he did often really...She was starting not to like that he HAD dove in after her. It only forced her to warm up to him even more and she hated this.

*Eric shrugged a little, swaying on his heels and glancing about the tiny cabin.* No need to thank me. *He stated, his eyes landing on hers and he smiled and laughed a little, shaking his head.* I know you can do fine on your own. But from time to time even you need a little help. *He stated, folding his arms. His thoughts trailed back to Luis and he frowned a little, wondering why she hadnt tried to shun away from his help a bit ago. He hoped it was because she was too tired to argue with the blasted man.*
Evelyn listen, I dont know where you stand with Luis but dont believe anything he says alright. And besides, I know you can do better than me but dont do worse. *He stated, staring at her for only a moment longer before he rushed back to his own cabin, heatedly and swiftly slipping into dry pants and a new shirt. He flopped down on the bed as he began to button it up, muttering curses to himself.*

Evelyn sat there as he spoke to her. Her eyes looking to her soaked self as he spoke. She grumbled at his words a bit. "An' I DON'T need yer bloody help Eric..." she said softly as she shook her head a bit, going back to her bed and sitting on the edge of it. When he spoke of Luis Evelyn groaned and looked up at him. "What IS yer bloody problem? Ye don' have ta lecture me on him. Yer not involved, alright?" she told him a bit angrily. Just then however, he stalked out and closed the door. Evelyn's jaw clenched and she roared. What WAS his problem!? She went to her door, locked it and made to change quickly. She pulled on the simple shirt and pants, not even bothering to put on a sash, or even minding with the boots as she ran a hand through her curly locks.
Her honey colored eyes looked to the door and she cursed. She would do it. Here and now. She couldn't take harboring all this frustration with him at the moment and she'd let it all out. With that she left her room and stormed into his, glaring at him and slamming the door shut behind her. "WHY do ye ALWAYS do that ta me?!" she growled at him waving her arms wildly about. "Ye bloody turn yer back on me an' LEAVE! Ye know, I'm startin' ta get more used to the look of yer bloody back then yer face. An' another thing...ye have NO RIGHT ta talk about Luis an' me. How bloody DARE ye go ahead an' comment on what I can do and what I can't?" She huffed as she crossed her arms a bit.
"Ye know what? Maybe you SHOULDN'T have come aboard. All ye do is bloody confuse me. I was FINE without ye, but then ye storm back on here an' my minds bloody churnin' all the time. Ye SAY things that...well...make me feel like I care for ye again, but then I have ta pull myself back I mean..." she looked upwards and closed her eyes. "Forget it. Ye never REALLY cared what would happen did ye? Did ye even THINK about the sufferin' I would be put through to see you here constantly again?" she asked him as she lifted a brow.
Evelyn took in a deep, shaky, sigh. This was it. She was letting it all come out. "If ye DO care then jus' tell me...if ye don'...well...could ye STOP making it bloody seem that way? It's bloody torture, ye know? Seein' ye with another woman, then you leavin' me all the time, an' then ye'll say things that just..." Evelyn shook her still wet hair and rubbed her hands over her face a bit. She hung her head and a shudder came from her. She didn't know what she was doing. She REALLY needed to stop this. She bit her nails a bit and there was a long silence.
With that she turned to leave, a small mutter coming from her before she made for the door.

*He slipped the last button through the final notch in his shirt and had just rose to his feet when Evelyn came bursting in through the door, shouting angrily at him. His brows arched with surprise and he blinked a bit. He hadn't expected her to chase after him like this. She never did before when he just walked away. As she carried on her rant he lowered his eyes, nodding now and again.
He did walk away from her quite often, though he just now realized that. When she asked him to tell her how he felt a million different things popped into his mind and he opened his mouth to speak though he wasn't entirely sure what to say. His jaw closed again when she made to leave and for a moment he lingered there. If he did what he wanted to, he was afraid of hurting her again.
But he couldn't hold it back any longer. She deserved to know how he felt about her, considering that he did have her more than confused at the moment. He couldn't blame her. He was confused himself. But for whatever reason it almost pained him to see that she was about to leave. He took a deep breath and rushed towards her, grabbing her arm and spinning her around. His eyes danced about her face and he smiled for a moment then suddenly leaned in and kissed her.
His heart raced and his mind whirrled as he wasnt entirly sure of what he was doing but as their lips met and his hands slipped about her jawline he didn't care. He needed to do this, he needed to show her he still cared.*

*Tobbs sent Jack a grateful smile as he ran over, knowing full well he had always been there to help in a shout's reach. Then again, her shouts were quite loud...but ah well, he was there helping her, and there were three people in the water now as the drizzle began to pick up. Time to dwell on that would be later.*
*Hearing Jack's words, the grateful smile curved into a light and almost teasing smirk.*
"I'm suprised Captain; usually tis you we expects to be overboard. Let it be said-like father like daughter! But methinks we should start pullin up by the manner they're yellin' at us....ingrates the lot of them!"
*Of course she said this all in a joking manner, giving a nod to the others that came over. She smiled up at Sarah and shook her head as if saying it would be alright if she just stood by, as she was in no condition to do too much and might fall overboard herself. The best thing she could do was rest a bit.*
*When the three were pulled over, she let the others crowd over to see the soaked group, stepping back and wiping off her hands. Watching Luis almost take Evy back, and Eric's quick sweep in, she gave a triumphant nod to the pair and turned away from the other man's loss, happy that Evy wasn't going off with him.*
*Staring up in the sky as the rain came down, she pushed her unbound hair behind her shoulder and let the water pour upon her, not really caring at that moment to stay dry. Glancing over at Jack quickly, Tobbs almost sighed as she predicted he'd take his leave in assisting his daughter with the others, as would most of the crew. The deck would become empty again, and she'd have to be alone again. She gave a mutter consisting of a sentence involving bloody ingrates and being drenched, standing a few steps away from those who were checking up on Rose, casting a concerned eye between two bodies and trying to get a hint if the lass was to be alright.*

Evelyn was about to touch the doorknob when suddenly he spinned her around. Eve's eyes fell on him and he looked at her for a moment quietly. She swallowed with difficulty, but then, he leaned in and his lips met hers. She closed her eyes and as his hands slipped to her jaw she brought her hands to the back of his neck and pulled him back as she hit the wall. Everything seemed to melt away. Nothing mattered anymore, not Luis, not Elinor...just Eric. A tear fell instintively and she pulled away a bit as the tear meshed onto Eric's cheek a bit and she bit her lip.
"So ye don' exaclty hate me then, righ'?" She asked him with a genuine smile and wiping her tear. "Eric mate...I, I love ye...an' that's that. I, I don' care what happens...just so ye know. I don' care anymore. Just PLEASE don' leave me 'gain mate. I dunno how I'd survive this time ye know?" she asked him as she embraced him as tightly as she could. "I, I can' stand not havin' ye ta argue with, ta yell at..." she said giving a soft laugh before crying into his shoulder a bit.
Her knees were giving in on her as she continued to cry out of a mixture of joy and fear. Would he leave? But she was happy he had kissed her nonetheless. Nothing but his embrace would quell her at the moment and she bit her lip. It was so warm being near him again and her heart was on air. She was finally with him again, the way she always wanted to be...but she feared his response.
She buried herself in him for a moment and then shook her head. She pulled away and hit the wall again. This time she simply shook her head and slid to the floor, curling her knees up and placing her arms on them. She was distraught. This was too good to be true and she didn't want to work herself up again. Her eyes turned instantly icy and tears fell repeatedly.
She sobbed a bit and shook her head. "Please don' do this ta me again mate...please..." she sobbed as she sniffled again. She hugged her knees tightly, hiding herself from him. No one had EVER seen her cry like this before, only him. He held a piece of her really, Eric was the only one to see her vulnerable side and she was afraid he'd notice just how fragile her spirit can be at times. Evelyn was a hard shell, but all her inner emotions were crystal like, thus prompting all the need for protection.
She could do nothing but sit there on his floor, crying her eyes out for the first time in front of anyone and she couldn't hold it back. She cried because her heart was aching, because she wasn't sure if he'd stay, because of her past, becasue she couldn't block him out, because she was angry at herself for not being strong. Her wet curls tumbled onto her arms and she could sense herself becoming soaked again, only this time, it was because of her OWN rain clouds...

Rose had gone into a state of semiconscious shock, from the combined effects of her lightheadedness, her lack of sleep, and the shock of the cold water. The next thing she knew, she was hitting the deck and coughing up sea water. She looked mildly sick, but she would recover...she was a Sparrow, after all, and hardy. Endurant. And soaked to the bone...
Hawk watched Mark and Luis leave and sighed in annoyance; the latter seemed suspicious. He would definitely keep an eye on this one...but Mark, he'd tried to look out for him - Luis could easily tear him apart - but he'd continued lashing out at Luis. While Hawk was still apprehensive about him, Mark would have to hide his enmity; if Luis proved a traitor, it wouldn't do to have him be on his guard.
Still thinking, Hawk got back on deck - only to see Evy and Eric leaving, both wet, and Rose coughing on the deck. "ROSE!" he yelled, running to kneel beside his wet sister. "Rose, what 'appened? Y'didn' fall over 'gain, did you? Oh, gods, Rose, when'll y'learn? Are y'all righ'?"
Rose's shaky laugh at her brother's protectiveness turned into a cough halfway through - she spat up some more water onto his boots, making him frown and her laugh more. "Hawk, calm down. 'm fine, 'snot like 've never fallen over b'fore..." She winked at him, coughing a bit more as he helped her to her feet. "'ll stay away from th' side of th' deck from now on..."

*At seeing the young Sparrow conscious and up on her feet, Tobbs gave a sigh of relief. She didn't seem to be in some way close to death, and so she slipped away from where Rose was and briskly got some extra blankets to wrap her in as she made her way over to her cabin, as itd at least keep her from being further soaked by the rain.*
*Sliding between an open space in those around Rose, she stood next to the girl and gave a concerned smile, wrapping her up in one of the blankets and offering out the others in case she wished for more or those who stood around wished for one to keep the rain from drenching them.* [/i] "Ya know Rose, next time you go treasure 'untin' in the sea, ya best wait until after the storm. And," *She said in a slightly lower voice and a larger smile,*"Ya know me, I'd never want to miss out on a good dip in the sea. Just as long as lightning's not just above."
*She pat Rose's shoulder and gave Hawk a nod, placing what was left of the extra blankets near the group on a barrel. Then, turning to face them to see if anything else might be needed, as she was feeling in a slightly helpful mood this time around, she stood near the Sparrow twins, admiring how they more and more looked like their father.*

Sarah finally began to breath when Rose and Evelyn were finally brought back to the ship. Sarah felt sick to her stomach and began to profusly apologize to no one in particular. 'M sorry...should've been hear...She started cursing the rum, then ran to the side of the ship to hurl, but soon returned to Rose's side. Rose mate, are ye alright? Rose began coughing up sea water and Sarah turned away, not wanting to see something that might cause her to lose her bearings again. Sarah then noticed Evelyn being led off by some man, leaving Eric behind. Sarah had a gut feeling abou the man that she didn't quite like. She walked over to Tobbs to ask her about him. Tobbs, who's that man helping Evelyn off? He's new, isn't he?

Rose gave Tobbs a grin of relief and a slightly shaky laugh. "Didn' do it on purpose!" she protested amiably, wrapping the blanket tighter around her and sneezing. She gave Sarah a reassuring grin - it seemed to say that it was alright, that Rose would be fine, that no one was to blame but herself.
Hawk put an arm around his sister. "We gotta get y'changed, sis..." He gave Tobbs a grateful smile and Sarah a reassuring one, before gently beginning to steer Rose below.
"Hawk! 'Re y'crazy? I can' go below!"
Hawk blinked, mystified. "Rose, yer soaked, y'gotta get changed..."
"There's a storm comin', we're all gettin' soaked! An' I don' care. 'Ve got to stay 'ere an' 'elp..." She jerked free of her brother, heading off to check the equipment in between coughs.
"Rose!" Hawk yelled after her, feeling a migraine coming on...

Rhys looked up at the churning sky in apprehsion. The storm clouds were rolling in and although this would provide her with fresh drinking water, this could easily kill her. Opening her mouth she let the rain drop directly into her mouth allowing her the only fresh water she'ld had in over a day. It felt wonderful against her dry, hot skin. She was sure that this plan had been a good one when it first started, stow away on the next ship leaving Port Royal and get away from the place of horrible memories. Well it would have worked had she not found herself on a ship with members of the Royal Navy aboard. They had recognized her face. She had too many crimes riding against her, too many thefts, too many times she had put people in serious conditions.
"We can't hang her at sea!" a young man shouted. "Well she's going to die, so put her in a boat and drop her off! No one will pick her up! And we're too far away for her to make it back to land!" the Captain had replied. Rough hands grabbed her and tossed her into a small boat. A moment later she felt the boat rising into the air and then plunging into the ocean showering her in cold water.
Sitting up, she jogged herself back to reality. She had managed to get the gag out of her mouth after a long struggle but her arms and legs were still tied. Scanning the horizon trying not to cry at the thought of drowning in this storm, she noticed a ship with black sails coming towards her. She blinked. "I have to be haulucinating," she murmured to herself. "That's it, I've been at sea too long." But still the ship was there and hope swelled in her chest. She started shouting as loud as she could, hoping against hope that they would hear her call over the storm, "Help! Help me, please!"

Mark soon finished tying the cannons down and quickly moved above deck. When he arrived he saw a group near the edge of the ship. He raised a brow. Evy and Rose and Eric were on the deck soaking wet. He ran over to see what had happened. The three left and went inside. He looked up at the sky, the clouds began to grow darker and they began to sweep a strong breeze over the ship. He walked around the ship one last time to make sure everything was in place. He went inside and began to look for Rose, Evy, and Eric. He wanted to make sure they were all okay. He didn't want any of his crew mates injured this early in the trip.
"Rose! Evy! Where are you guys?!"
Mark yelled. he knocked on every door he passed. He finally found the right one and knocked on the door
"Is everyone alright? What in the blazes 'appened out there?"
He asked through the door. He could hear voices but couldn't make out the words.
