Sarah smiled at Chris and took his arm. Thank you kind sir. If you would please escort me to the Pearl, I think I'll be sleeping there tonight. Sarah glanced over at Jack, hoping it would be ok with him. Oh and yes, I did have a marvelous time. Sarah looked around for Elizabeth, but didn't see her and figured she had already gone to bed. How was your night? Oh, I presume you know where the docks are!?

Lily yawned and opened her eyes, went out on deck to find the Captain already there. She eyed him with blearly eyes and yawned loudly to announce her presence.
"A lovely morning, captain." She said mildly and looked up at the sky which had not yet begun to lighten. She peered at nothing in particular for a long time, just letting her body wake of it's own accord.
"So, will we be off then, Captain?" she asked curiously. Much as she liked land she loved the sea more, and wanted to be off again soon. "anyone else coming?"

// sorry, I've been in Texas for a wedding of my cousin. So sorry I've not been around. I'll just say I was on the ship the whole time. Sorry this post is goingt o be so short but I've gotta run to work//
Roux had fallen asleep on the deck, his breathing light and gentle. He was always a light sleeper.
But he was up before any visible sign of the sun began to show. He was well aware of dawn's coming before anyone else. He sat up carefully and looked into the sky. His eyes flashed gold for just a fraction of a second before he blinked and it was gone.
Then the sun began to rise and turned the sky rose and gold. He smiled brightly and went about his work, helping Jack and Lily prepare the ship.#nosmileys

" It was interesting.." * He took a deep breath as he led Sarah onto the Pearl. It was exactly as he imagined with its grand structure and inricate carvings. Sarah told him the way and when they were in front of her door he smiled and released her arm* " Sweet Dreams Sarah...." * He smiled at her then went home*
* Maria slowly opened her eyes and sheilded them against the light of the sun. She sat up on her bed while she placed her elbows at her thighs and rested her head in her arms. It was far too early to be awake. She dressed herself in new clothes. Maria glanced at herself in the mirror and ran onto the deck seeing Lily Roux and the Captain preparing to leave.
She ran her fangers through the soft curls and placed a hand on her hip gazing down at her feet. She was still drowsy and felt like she would collapse on the deck. She looked up at them and grinned* " Mornin'.."
* Chris awoke and stretched on his bed. He dressed in a hurry and heaed out the door running toward the docks to see if the Pearl still remained. He spotted it and grinned softly before running towards it and up to its deck. He wasn't sure if he was allowed but if he wasn't he would leave, if told.
Chris looked around the deck. He didn't see Sarah anywhere. The girl was probably asleep. But as he continued he saw Maria. He grinned softly but a glimpse of someone stopped him. Was it really? It was Captain Jack Sparrow. A legend in his eyes. He stood in awe before he walked towards the man and stuck out his hand*
" Pleasure to meet you Captain Sparrow... I'm sorry to be on your ship without you knowing my name.. Chris Hughes at your service..."

Mark awoke to the sound of sea gulls flying overhead. One swooped down and plucked an unsuspecting fish from the water. He rubbed his eyes and realized he had fallen asleep on the deck. He was dead tired by the time he'd gotten to the Pearl. He looked over his shoulder and saw Jack looking at the sails. He got to his feet and walked over. He looked up at the sails and smiled. They would be off soon.
"Hello there mate. We haven't met, but I know who you are. Jack Sparrow...I mean Captain Jack Sparrow. I'm Mark Andrews, Will invited me on the voyage. 'onderful ship ye got 'ere."
Mark said to the captain. He was certainly an interesting fellow. Mark had only heard the tales about him, but now he finally got to meet the old dog. He walked over to the rail and looked over. There where a couple of dolphins below playing with one another. The sea floor was bustling with life and activity. The crystal clear water began to shine as the sun rose in the sky. The town began to awaken as well. After a time he walked inside to get something to eat. He hoped there would be a good breakfast waiting for him, but he figured it was going to be a '"fend for yourself" morning as there weren't many people on the Pearl yet. He walked into the dinning area and took a seat. He began to ponder what he wanted. He thought some toast and a cut of fried ham sounded awfully tempting. He decided he would make enough for everyone, as this was his first trip with the crew and he wanted to make a good impression. He began to sift through some pots and pans. After he found some ideal frying pans he got to work frying some ham. He began to toast some bread as well. Soon the smell of the meal began to carry through the ship.
"They'll never be able to resist that smell..."
Mark said to himself with a smile. When he finished he put a lid over the ham to keep it warm. He fixed him a plate and went into the dining area. The meal was better than he had dreamed it woulld be. He began to feel the strength come back to him. Maybe he could use this vacation after all. Though he figured he'd have to kill a man or two, Surely there were other people searching for the Lost City of Gold. If that was in fact where they were going. He put the pieces of the puzzle together: Central America is where the city is located. Pirates are going to Central America...that's all the evidence he needed. A whole city of gold! He began to imagine what he would do with his cut of the treasure, if he hadn't gotten himself killed by then.
"I could buy a nice house back 'ome in England for mother and I. I would open up a bigger gun shop and I could actually afford to hire more than one person....heh heh....Oh Sam you silly dog." Mark began to laugh to himself. He hoped his mother would be alright with him.

Post by Rose Glassman/Hawk Aureye on Aug 7, 2004 17:10:27 GMT -5
Hawk was up at the crack of dawn, as he always was; he had never needed much sleep. He'd grown up on pirate ships where he'd been raised at any hour for some menial task; he'd never entirely gotten used to the concept of being allowed to sleep in on the Pearl. It was always good to watch the sun rise from the deck of the Pearl, too...he preferred to be alone, but he didn't mind sharing the deck with his crew, who was like family to him. Two of them WERE family...he grinned faintly. He'd come so far, from a lonely, cold sailor to being on the Pearl, with an infamous father and a twin sister.
As the other crewmembers came aboard, he nodded a greeting...to Lily, to Roux, to the new man, and to Mark. Upon seeing Mark, Hawk's eyes narrowed slightly; he made to follow him, but he felt a hand grab his shirttail; Rose was awake.
"Dontcha dare, Hawk," Rose said with a laugh, releasing her brother; he stumbled back a few steps and glared at her. She glared right back. "Mark's done nothin' to ya, 'cept be friendly t'me. Try t'make friends with 'im!"
"'m just tryin' t'look our for my li'l sister," Hawk grumbled, tugging on a strand of Rose's hair affectionately.
"Well,. be nice t'Mark," Rose retorted, batting at his hand. "'E's a decent fella, an' 'e's got manners. 'S always good t'get some new blood aboard..."
Hawk wasn't listening, but was peering at Rose intensely. "Y'like 'im, dontcha?" he accused.
Rose blushed. "Not like that, I just met 'im! But yeah, 'e's nice..." Her brother continued to scrutinize her expression, and she blushed deeper. "Oh, leave off it, Hawk!" she exclaimed, poking him before storming off to see what was in the galley. Even after last night's dinner, she found herself starving...
She strolled in, not expecting to find anyone else, but jumped in surprise upon seeing Mark. She then grinned brightly, taking a seat across from him. "Mornin' Mark! 'Ow're you doin'? Any food 'ereabouts?"

* Maria leaned back on the ships raling and ran her fingers over the intricate design of the wooden carvings. The Ships creaks and rocks began to lull her back to sleep. She jerked herself up, hopefully nobody noticed her drowsy state. Through her drowsy yet focused vison she saw Rose and Hawk come up on deck. Maria took a quick glance at Mark then at Rose... There had to be something betweeen the two though Maria overhead from Rose different. She smiled as Hawk presumed the role of big brother... When Rose left Maria ran up beside Hawk nudging his elbow enough to get his attention*
" Ye can't protect 'er ferever.. She's eventually gonna fall fer some one...."
* Maria said smiling notching her head in Rose's exit direction*

Mark was enjoying his breakfast when he heard someone come into the room.
"Rose?! G...good mornin'. I'm fine, now that I got some much needed rest and some food in my belly. How 'bout you. I hope you slept well. I made some fried ham and toast, it's in a pot warming. Help yourself."
Mark said. He didn't expect it to be her. He knew he had to stop this whenever he met her. He needed to act normal around her. He pointed to the kitchen where he had made breakfast. He got out of his chair to show Rose where it was. He also wanted to get a glass of water. He felt much happier when she was around, he figured it was cause she was the only other crew member he had talked to very much, other than Will.
"Is Hawk here? I think we should talk, he doesn't seem to like me much. He always looks at me like he wants to kill me."
Mark said to Rose with a fake laugh. He hoped he could get Hawk to see that he was a good person. He also wanted to make that cold look go away. He could always tell when Hawk was looking at him, because he could feel a cold chill run slowly down his spine. The feeling creeped him out.

Post by Eric Jackson on Aug 7, 2004 18:56:30 GMT -5
*The sun had not yet come up over the horizon as Eric woke, throwing his legs over the side of the bed followed by a loud yawn and a stretch. He sat there a moment, rubbing his face and eyes and he rose slowly. Going over to the washbasin he dipped his hands in it and ran them through his sandy blonde hair. His brown eyes blinked back at him sleepily from the looking glass on the plain wall.
He changed into a fresh baggy shirt and simple brown pants, throwing a belt about his hips and adorning it with a sword and a pistol, one far better than the rusty death trap he had found on the first voyage. He threw on his black boots and packed a small sack of clothes and provisions then headed out into the streets of Port Royal, stalking towards Elinors home in the elaborate section of mansions.
As he climbed her porch and knocked upon the door he took a deep breath. The cool air of the pale morning filled his lungs and he pondered how he would tell her that he was leaving. Surely she would ask about Evelyn and exclaim to him her worry of never seeing him again if something should happen. But he had to tell her, he couldn't leave and keep her wondering for weeks on end. As he knocked again the door slowly creaked open and a plump fellow in a butlers outfit greeted him with a raised brow and then a bow.* Good morning, Mr. Jackson. How can I help you? *He asked in his distinguished french accent.*
*Eric smiled and tipped his head to the man.* Good morning, sir. I was here to see Miss Stuart, if she is awake yet. *He replied, peering past the man to see if he could catch a glimpse of Elinor in the parlor or dining salon. The butler smiled and bowed again, and with a wave of his hand Eric entered the house, allowing the plump man to take his sack while he waited for Elinor.* She is awake sir, I shall fetch her from her room. *He said and waddled off. Eric sat down on an elaboratly embossed crimson velvet chase lounge and tapped his fingers on his knees.
A moment later Elinor came gracefully down the steps, almost as if she were floating down them. She was dressed in a lovley pale pink silk dress with irish lace about the collar and cuffs. As she saw Eric she smiled brightly and rushed towards him, throwing her arms about his neck and giving him a kiss upon the cheek.* Good morning, Eric! It is lovely to see you! *She exclaimed, kissing his cheek again as she gabbed his hands. Eric smiled weakly and nodded.* Always a pleasure to see you, Elinor. *He said, wondering if the right moment to tell her would ever come up.*
I have been told you wished to see me? I shall have Henry fix us some tea and we can talk in the parlor! *She smiled, turning to leave but Eric kept his grasp on her hands which forced her to turn back and face him, a quizical look on her face.* That won't be necessary, Elinor. I'm leaving. I've decided to go with Jack Sparrow and his crew on the Pearl. *He stated swiftly. She gasped and her jaw dropped astonished.*
Jack Sparrow? The pirate whom William Turner sailed with? *She asked. Eric nodded. She placed her hands upon her hips and frowned angrily, eyeing him with furious hazel eyes.* Eric Jackson I cannot believe you right now! Wanting to sail off with pirates and do who knows what. Why for all I know you could be sailing off with that Evelyn woman who was so bitter yesterday! *She cried, throwing her arms in the air. Eric only stood there, an obvious look of guilt on his face.* I can't believe it, you will be sailing with her as well! *She said then hung her head and slumped her shoulders, something she never did. Eric frowned and lifted her chin.* Im doing it because I dont trust a man sailing with the crew. You have nothing to worry about, Elinor. *He said softly. A tear rolled down her slender cheek.* Will you come back for me? *She whispered. He blinked for a moment then smiled and nodded, grabbing his bag from the butler.* I'll come back. *He said and hurried out the door, trotting down the lane.
As he arrived to the Pearl he noted that much of the crew was already awake and on deck. He could smell frying ham and toasted bread and followed the smell to where Mark was making breakfast. He glanced over the mans shoulder and smiled.* Smells great, mate. *He said, licking his lips. He tipped his head to the others who were crowding around the food as well and laughed at it a little.*

Post by Will Turner on Aug 7, 2004 19:08:10 GMT -5
*Will had accompanied his wife up the stairs and even took the liberty of helping her into bed, knowing that she wasn't feeling well. As he sank beneath the covers himself he gazed over at her for a long time, her delicate features warmly illuminated by the single candle on her nightstand. He smiled, leaning over and kissing her forehead then weaving his fingers through her long hair. She was beautiful in everyway and yet as fragile as she looked she was tough as nails and could easily stand on her own two feet. Will never minded her strong willed personality, in fact it had been something that had drawn him to her. He sighed in content as he rested his head on the pillow.*
Goodnight, Elizabeth. I love you. *He whispered, his eyes locking on hers. Slowly his lids fell and he drifted off into a dreamfilled sleep about a young girl whom he couldn't recognize at first. However he did recognize one item, a braclet about her wrist and as he woke the next morning he furrowed his brows. Why had he just had a dream about Maria? And why was it that she seemed so familiar to him the first time he had even met her. As he pondered this thought he dressed swiftly, changing into usual garb, which hadn't changed even after he married into wealth. Fancy clothes and curly wigs just weren't him and in his opinion the wigs shouldn't even be worn by the elite as they looked rather odd.
He peered out the window towards the docks and grinned a little, seeing the Pearl sitting there in all her brillant glory. He sighed happily, eager to get to it and even more excited that Elizabeth would be joining them. As she stirred he went over to her and kissed her.* Good morning love! We'd best get over to the Pearl quickly. *He stated, allowing her to dress and ready her things. When she was ready he grabbed his pack and her hand and they made their way towards the Pearl, boarding it swiftly. Will smiled and waved at the crew already on board and wondered if Eric and Mark had made it, or if they had changed his mind and stayed behind.* And so it begins! *Will laughed, glancing over at his wife who was equally as daft and rash as him but sometimes seemingly more clever.*

*Carrie woke up late in the morning as usual. She had made her way back to the ship late that night, after having a good and hearty meals at the Turner household. She heard voices above deck and decided to get herself out of bed and ready for another day. As soon as she was on deck she smiled at the loveliness of the day and raised up her voice* "Good mornin' everyone! Lovely day isn't it? Can't you smell the sea air, such a fresh and wonderful scent! And the sun is all ablaze! What a grand day this is to be!"

Sarah woke up a bit later then she had hoped and dressed quickly. She walked out onto the deck and noticed the various crew members. She walked over to a group of them, which consisted of Maria, Hawk, and Chris. G'morning, I hope you all slept well. Sarah let out a slight yawn. 'cuse me, still need a bit of waking out. Looked over at Maria, noticing she looked half awake. Look's like someone needs a bit more rest, aye? Sarah gently nudged Maria. Wake up dear. Sarah then noticed Will and Elizabeth walking on the deck. Oi! Is Liz going to be joinin' us on the trip? I'm sure that'll make Will happy. Sarah smiled as a slight breeze picked up and the smell of the sea filled her nose, causing her to sigh in happiness. I cannot wait till we get started.
