*As Carrie was ushered back into the dining room she smiled to see that Tobbs had joined to melee of people surrounding the huge table. Carrie gave Tobbs a wave and nodded politely to her. She then began to eat, not joining much in the conversation but enjoying being in the company of so many people none the less. She was seated next to Sarah, but did not want to enter into conversation just yet. She was absolutely famished.*

Selina kept her face stern as they made their way through the busy streets of Tortuga heading towards the Guilded Tavern. Her eyes were alert and her hand remained upon the hilt of her sword. Although, it seemed tonight, many of the glances that came her way, were a bit more cautious than usual. Selina took a look over her shoulder at Michael and gave a small smirk. It was his presence that scared them off, she knew it. He indeed was a strong presence really.
When he spoke she turned back away. "Yes, I knew him, unfortunately. He was a member of the crew, apprantly he was not too pleased that I did away with his friend a few nights ago." Selina rolled her eyes and growled a bit. "I was simply protecting my honor. Those men were beginning to think they could do what they wanted, I simply put them back in their place." She said with a nod as they came upon the Inn. "Something wrong?" she asked him lifting a brow just before they entered.
"No...of course not." She stated firmly as they passed the threshold and entered. Yet deep down, she knew there was a bit of guilt hanging inside of her. She was beginning to warm up to this man already and yet, she still knew not what had happened to her Damien. She bit her lip as she scanned the Tavern.
He spoke to her and she looked over her shoulder at him, turning back and giving a grin. "Dinner? Well, I must admit I DO have a bit of a desire for a rum." She told him as she went off into the crowd and headed towards the bar. A man had bumped into her roughly and she shoved the man off and away from her gruffly. She shook her head and proceeded towards the bar where she ordered two rums and looked about, still wondering where the Captain could be in the crowd.
"So Michael, tell me a bit of yourself." She asked him as leaned over the bar's edge and slipped a small flask of rum from under it and then tucked it into her sash. She gave him a wink. "A little for later." She stated.

Slightly unconvinced that nothing was troubling her thoughts, he shrugged to himself; after all, it was her concern, not his own. He thought over what she said about the men that, well, frankly couldn't control themselves around her, and made a note to watch himself when he was around her. She was very tempting, but then a past experience with one somewhat as she had taught him a hard lesson, so he had an advantage over the other crew-he had a stronger hold over himself.*
*Watching her head for the bar, he grinned slightly at the mention of rum, following behind her and standing beside her as she ordered the rum. He noted the flask and caught the wink she gave him, his grin growing a bit at her last words. Really he was thinking what he could tell her about his past; he wasn't a very open person, but he wasn't completely distant with his past. He could always highlight a few parts....explain a bit on himself.*
"Well...about myself....I grew up, unfortunately enough, in proper society in England with two guardians, whom I later discovered were my grandparents. Hence the latin, the accent, and the grammar. I knew you'd catch on to a few things that wouldn't suit an ordinary pirate's characteristics. Luckily I learned of my parents, whom were both pirates, and escaped from the life of top coats and carriages to join one of pillaging and rum. My parents and the crew taught me well, I assume, but I lost track of them a few years ago, and am searching for hints of their whereabouts now. I'd say that's enough to keep one from falling into boredom; what about yourself? Whats my Mysterious Lady's life been like?"
*That was the best broad outline he could present, as a few details he'd have to keep secret until he could trust her more, if he even chose to trust her. Michael was one to keep things unknown only to himself, a trade he learned long ago by the mistake his mother made.*
*Glancing around to see if he saw Barbossa anywhere, he returned his attention back to Selina and waited to hear of her life. It had to be interesting enough, as she seemed to have learned how to defend herself in some manner against those who tried to get to her. Watching her eyes for any sign of what she could have been thinking about before, he took a drink of his rum when it came.*

Selina looked him over as he spoke of his past. She could sense that he was witholding infromation but it was natural really. Selina in turn was a private person, although she didn't really mind telling about her past. She had nothing to hide really. "Well, I grew up in Spain, a daughter of a Countess really. I learned how to fend for myself as my father was the infamous Captain Carcassas and he had left instructions that I be taught to fend for myself. My mother could not take that my father was gone for so long and thus, fell in love with someone else. When my father returned however, he learned of her betrayal and he murdered her." She stated plainly as she looked to the ground briefly.
The rum came and Selina took it up, downing it rather quickly and then slamming it upon the bar's edge. "I can still see him standing there...with the knife in his hand, my mother dead, as well as her lover, although...he had a slower death. My father was never a very sentimental man. But the ONE good thing he did for me was close the door to the bedroom where he proceeded to take the life of her lover." Selina shrugged a bit. "Those are the basics really. I always loved my father, visited his ship once and met a woman on there. Who knows WHO she was really, but she was with my father when I barely saw him and that angered me."
Selina took a deep sigh and closed her eyes for a moment. "That is all of it really, nothing more. But I say the past is the past. You cannot change it, so why linger upon it?" Selina jumped a bit as a shot went off in the Tavern. "I bet that was the Captain..." she said softly, trying to change the subject. Looking up at Michael she almost could see sympathy in his eyes and she graoned. She didn't like people feeling sorry for her.
"I hope you find your father and mother." She said softly as she placed a hand upon his arm lightly, and then gave it a gently squeeze. "One must find SOMETHING to hold onto to keep them going in life..." She trailed off as she stared about the Inn.

*As Selina started off he watched her emotions curiously, trying to judge if she was telling the truth or trying to deceive him. Michael could tell straight off she was being completely honest, and so he gave up trying to judge her words and soaked in more of the meaning behind them. By the end he could tell she was slightly still uncomfortable with her past, even if she acted as if it was no big deal. His sympathy couldn't be withheld and he somewhat felt sorry for her.*
*Then again, she learned to fend for herself just like her father had told her to do, and she seemed to be pretty well off now. His faint grin returned when she mentioned the captain, but it quickly faded into a serious expression once again at her last words. There was her hand again upon his arm, and though he tried to revel in the feel once more, he was shot back into focus when she trailed off her closing sentence.*
"The past is what it is indeed; I'm glad I have your hopes concerning my search, but I try not to expect much- only the worst is what I think I'll find. But no matter, it's something."
*He gave a shrug, as if he didn't care. He wasn't one to get angry easily at all, nor sad or frustrated; but when he happened to portray one of those emotions, he really felt them, and therefore expressed them quite openly and deeply. As of now he was more concerned on what she had just said; 'One must find Something to hold onto to keep going on in life.....'*
"I agree with you Selina. I agree when you say one must have something to keep them going in life; but as I've mentioned what keeps me going, which is simply answers, or revenge, I can't seem to figure out the same for you. There must be something, or, someone, who keeps you pressing on; you've stated so yourself. Have I just skipped over what, or who, was mentioned, or is there something you forgot to add?"

Mark smiled back at Rose and looked at Hawk. He could sense that he was protective of her. He looked at Rose
"Glad ye like the wine Rose. Nice to meet ya Hawk. And I do inten' ta go on the voyage with all of ya. One more couldn't hurt, and besides I may end up pullin' one of ya out of a bad situtation. I have got to say, this is some of the best food I've 'ad in a long time. Good stuff."
Mark eyed Hawk for a moment. He didn't feel all to comfortable around him. He felt like the man was lookin for the perfect moment to lash out at him or something. He pondered about when the voyage was leaving.
"I've got a question... I'm sure one of you 'an answer it. When does the ship leave to where ever it is goin'? I just thought I'd find out so you didn't leave me behind on this God forsaken rock."

* Sarah had told Maria that she had been in the kitchen helping to prepare. Maria smiled and nodded while taking a sip of her water. It was cool and refreshing as it flowed down her throat. She inspected the table as to see everyone enjoying their food and wine. She sank into her chair and but her lip. She was beggining to get full. She looked down at her plate to see it was half empty. Maria turned to Chris. The man had already finished his plate and seemed anxious to mingle.* " Weren't hungry were ye?" * She said sarcastically*
* Chris was literally full. Maria had made a comment when he sset his fork down and placed his napkin upon his plate.* " No... Not one bit.." * He luaged then looked around the table. So man new faces. So many people to meet. He turned to the girl that was sitting beside him and Sarah. * " Hello miss, What's your name?" * He used his smile and stuck out his hand.*

*Tobbs watched the proceedings with a mixture of amusement and slight worry. She was slightly relieved Luis had left, as he added tension, but when both Eric and Evy excused themselves, she had half the mind to follow them and see what was up. *
*Keeping seated in the end, she bit her lip as she thought and glanced back towards Carrie whom she saw wave in greeting to her. Returning it with a nod, she looked back to her plate and, though she had been hungry, with half of what was on her plate gone, she felt full enough. Standing and taking her plate, unnoticed by the maids fortunately, she made her way to the kitchen to see if help was needed.*
*As she entered and handed a maid her plate, watching as things were organized and washed and cleaned, she spottted Elizabeth sitting down upon a chair with a tired _expression upon her face. Raising a brow, she approached and introduced ehrself.*
"Hullo Mrs. Turner, I was just checking to see if you needed any 'elp. Most call me Tobbs, I think we saw eachother on that Olympus trip, but never met. I was wondering if you needed 'elp in cleaning up....you seem a bit tired...."

As Michael spoke he digged a bit deeper, asking about what she was holding onto. Selina blinked and frantically searched for her Captain. She didn't really want to get into THIS subject with him at the moment. Her eyes shifted towards him and she shook her head. She didn't want to answer, to tell him about Damien, that silently her heart ached to see Damien again but she remained placid on the outside.
"Well, I have my reasons. We shall leave it at that." She told him sternly. She sighed heavily. "So Michael, how about you then? Do you have any...er...attachments at the moment? No woman upon your arm? No lady in particular?" She asked as she passed her eyes over him a bit and gave him a smirk. She wiped a bit of moistness from her brow, the bar's crowded atmosphere and the candles within it were making the tavern quite warm. She bit her lips as she looked him over and stared at his face, looking over his defined features and smiling. She found a deep sort of wanting in the pit of her stomach, but she would need to hold herself back.
As a man passed her by eyeing her a bit too much she hissed at him. "Keep walking." She told him but he seemed to linger on and she rolled her eyes. The man was obviously drunk and slurred some sort of phrase to her. Selina simply moved closer towards Michael, hoping she wouldn't need to cause a raucous here, and that Michael's presence alone would frighten him away. It turned out it wasn't and he reached out to her and she slapped his arm away.
"Where IS our bloody Captain?" She asked deciding to ignore the man's glances. If he was dangerous he would soon threaten her but she knew she could settle the situation should she need to.

*Elizabeth watched as the pies went out with the maids and laughed softly when she heard of one of the crew's mishap with the gravy and the extra chicken. She kept herself in the kitchen to rest a bit and drink some tea to wake up. By the time she'd felt she could go back in the dining hall dinner was almost over, but she made to do so anyways.*
*As she waited for another cup of tea Estrella was makig for her, she looked up to see Tobbs, another of the crew she'd heard of from Will that seemed to have something closer with Jack. She wondered how the lady did it and shook her hand in greeting. Standing up and nodding when the other spoke on how she looked tired, she sighed and shurgged slightly.*
"No need to help, the others are doing so now. It's a pleasure to meet you, Tobbs, I'm Elizabeth as you know. But come now, we should really be joining the others in the dining hall. I'm afraid I've abandoned everyone, and the least I could do was say farewell when it coems to an end. Care to join me?"
*Escorting her back into the hall, she seated herself next to Will and next to Jack, watching as Tobbs sat at the free seat by the captain. She set her tes cup down on the table and nodded in greeting to those whom noted her presence and waved.*
"Well, if it isn't Jack Sparrow!"
"Captain, Captain Jack Sparrow."
"Oh, my apologies captain. It's good to see you again Jack. I can't wait to see what this trip turns out like; perhaps we should make a detour to that island again?"
*She smiled, teasing about the island he was made governor of, as Barbossa had put it. She glanced quickly over to Will, and then down at a free hand he had on the table, sliding her hand over it and gently squeezing it. She held it there and smiled over at Tobbs who was taking a drink of the wine. She spoke up to to those who sata round her that were either finishing or sitting back and relaxing.*
"So, how'd you like the food? Be honest; was it to your liking, or do you have any suggestions?"

(( as you all know, I'm catching up. So I'll make a small post to join in. sorry for my being late))
::Jack watched his crew and his friends with a contented look in his eyes. He was always better around friends. He smirked at them all, in a sort of self amused way and looked up as Elizabeth entered::
"Well, luv, if we stop at that island you'll be the only one stuck there. I'll keep my rum thank you....and no, Elizabeth, no suggestions...."
::He smiled at her , gold teeth glinting, and he turned to all the crew, listening in, but not really saying much. He wanted to just enjoy the space of calm time in one place with them all:

*Eric laughed a little at her mention of pink just not being her. He looked her over a little then grinned and shrugged.* Yeah, probably not. *He grunted, somehow just not able to picture her in a pink ballerina outfit. Although it would deffinantly be an interesting sight to see. He smiled and nodded a little at her next comment. Something about those words had quite an affect on him, though he did his best to let very little of it show.* Really? Well thats good to hear then because you'll always have a bit of me too. Always. *He said then grinned a little more.* Even if you don't want it *He added with a wink, and then he frowned a bit, reaching out and touching her arm at the mention of possible suicide at the time. However he quickly pulled his hand away, not exactly sure about how he felt about it being there.* Ah, Evy. That's not the way to go. Don't ever do anything like that because of me. I'd never be able to handle that. *He stated in a more than serious tone. He glanced down at her arm again where he had saw the P brand earlier and he furrowed his brow a bit, looking back at her.* You'll have to explain those more when we sail out. *He said, wondering really if they would even talk much once they were all on the Pearl again. Honestly, he doubted that they would. As she said she hoped he was happy with Elinor all he did was shrug and watch her head off into the night. He supposed he was happy with Elinor but not in the way he wanted to be. He watched her head back towards HIM and he scowled a little, but turned and trudged back to his now rather messy home where he flopped down face first into his pillow and feel immediatly into a deep dreamless sleep.*

*Will watched as one by one the crew and other guests began to depart from the dinner. He gave them a nod and smile each and his smile grew ever brighter as his wife joined them in the dining room. He leaned over and kissed her quickly, throwing his arm about the back of her chair.* Elizabeth! I was hoping you'd come in here. *He beamed, as she squeezed his free hand. He laughed and rolled his eyes at Jack at the mention of him keeping the rum. Honestly he was surprised his wife had even survived that moment when she burned Jacks precious life source of rum. Then he pondered her question for a bit then grinned mischeviously at her.* Actually I have a suggestion. *He stated, eyeing her.* Next time...you should sit with us through the whole meal. *He added. As his eyes roamed about her face he frowned a little, noticing that she looked like she wasn't feeling the greatest. He stroked her hair a bit.* Feeling alright, Elizabeth? *He asked.*

*Fully knowing he was inching towards something she was hiding from him, Michael took her stern response with no emotion, withholding the plot to edge further into what held the spot in her heart. He knew someone was there, someone's face haunted her mind....but he didn't know what kind of person this once was:a sibling a relative, a lover?*
*As she changed the subject back to him, he smiled slyly and caught a quick look over she made, trying to hold back doing the same. The heat of the tavern would usually make him leave the place after a few gulps of rum, but with Selina there, it made it a whole different story. He inched slightly closer to her when a man bumped into him, responding after a quick drink of rum.*
"No, no attachments for me. No lady I've been favoring and plotting to take aboard with me on this venture. No one in particular...yet...."
*He said the last bit as he looked down at his rum, the sly smile returning. He looked over when she spoke angrily to a man, watching the drunk oddball and noting how she moved over with ease towards him. So they were getting closer and closer...he tried to dismiss the thought and focus on finding the captain with her, but he could almost sense the tension she had, he could smell the captivating scent she carried with her, he could feel the warmth she added to the air by just standing there. All of it took ahold of his mind as he stood there.*
*He was thrown yet again into thought when she spoke up, and sensing the irritation in her voice, he noted the man was still watching her. Sending a firm glare in his direction as he clenched his right hand into a fist and put his left hand on the bar close towards her, he sent the man a warning stare and watched him edge slightly away. He could tell the guy was still watching and waiting, but at least he'd backed off a bit more than before.*
"It appears you have quite the social life, eh Selina? But then again, I'd wonder how Barbossa himself wouldn't want to become a close friend of yours if nothing more. I'm fine with sailing in with only the Captain, you, and myself aboard, but not having the crew killed because they can't control themselves around you might help us if we're caught in some unforrtunate incident. Perhaps I'll have a chat with them.....man to man talk, if you get my jist..."

Evelyn reached the ship with her head hanging but she heard a voice and she lifted it suddenly. "Oh, Luis mate, yer still up?" She asked as she boarded the ship. A small smirk came upon her lips but it seemed Luis was a bit upset at the moment and she furrowed her brows. "What's wrong mate? Hope ye didn' get sick off tha' fancy food back there, I'd hate ta see ye sea sick on yer first voyage with us." She told him as she leaned against the sides of the Black Pearl with him.
Luis sighed heavily and turned his face away from her quickly, a sly grin on his face. She was worried about him. Already he was beginning to chip the surface of the walls Eve had built up. This was almost TOO easy. Then he remembered Eric would be joining them and he frowned. HE might thwart his plans...he'd no doubt be watching him closely. "Haha...no, you'll be happy to know I did not get sick. Although I believe you would like me even if I WAS hanging over the side of the ship sick as a dog, eh?" He told her as he nudged her a bit.
Evelyn shook her head and laughed. "What makes ye say I like ye now mate?" She told him with a smile. The moon was shining down upon them with an eerie glow and she stared upward at the calm, beautiful, night skies...almost WISHING someone ELSE were here...
"Ah, I'm alright. Its just...you still love him, don't you?" Luis asked her hoping to get to the bottom of her feelings for him. "I only wish to know because if you do, perhaps it is not best he comes aboard. It could only mean YOU harm. With him so concerned of this...Elinor, he does not see what he is missing, I say." He told her as he placed a hand over his mouth, concealing a small grin. This wasn't really all THAT bad of a mission he supposed...seduce a woman, betray her trust, perhaps break a heart or two, seeing Evelyn's expression at his words almost made him laugh really.
"No." She stated firmly as she looked away from his face. "I MIGHT have at one poin' I s'ppose." She sighed heavily looking down into the waters below. "He's jus'...changed. I admit I DO care 'bout him still...but...gah, I jus'..." she thought about it briefly and she almost felt like crying really, but she kept with her reasons. Her face was stern and she wouldn't budge in what her lips said, even though she knew DEEP down there was something else lingering there in her heart.
"Oh, I only wish to know because, Evy, if you wish, I WILL protect you. You of ALL people do not deserve to hurt again. I understand what you have gone through, HE hasn't!" He said firmly slamming down his fist on the side of the ship. "It was I who saw you slave away, take orders, and...were...FORCED to do unsightly things..." he mentioned this last bit as he turned his face away, for a small smirk lingered there. Frankly, he thought she DESERVED what she had gotten. What was she doing mixing with men on a ship anyway?
Eve gasped as he spoke of this last bit and she bit her lip. "Luis...I. DON'T mention that again, alright?" She asked him in an almost angry tone. "I'm goin' ta bed...good ta hear ye aren' sick." She stated as she walked away heading towards her cabin. She went inside and buried her face in her hands. She had not hear mention of it for a long time and tears fell instinctively. She didn't know WHY it hurt so much still. Perhaps because deep down she thought about it still and it made her angry. She had NEVER talked about it really with anyone. Even with Eric she barely mentioned it and forbade him to speak of it, but she was beginning to think that remaining silen about it wouldn't help. She would need to speak of it with someone, someday.
Luis watched as she left and gave a soft laugh. "Aw, the poor woman. It STILL affects her?" he asked himself lifting a dark, thick, brow. Then slowly following her he saw as she disappeared into her room and he stepped towards it. Actually...why not? He COULD just barge in, take her, and be done with it all tonight really. NO ONE would know because they all remained back in Mr. Turner's home. He pondered this for a moment...all the while...staring at her door curiously....
