*Michael nodded and sighed slightly when Selina spoke of the night being a long one. It sure was....he was discovering things he enevr thought he could feel for another person, especially when it came to a stranger, someone with no blood relation. When she spoke on how she hadn't slept much, he furrowed his brows a bit in a slight notion of concern.*
"Aye I am inviting you to dinner, and I'm glad to not be let down....after all, we spoke on dinner in that tavern, mustn't go back on my word."
*He took her last words on watching her step, and other things, quite clearly. He thought she was trying to make it clear he should watch himself, which made his brows furrow more. Women were so confusing....smiling and teasing him one minute, and then gving a hint to watch his actions. He'd have to think this one over.*
"Aye, strength is a priority in many aspects..."
*Smiling at her when she nudged him, he followed her down to the galley, in which he raided and placed morsels and food upon. Once all was picked up, Michael gave her a gesture to take a seat at a table and poured some wine into goblets for the two of them. The ship was rocking, and the storm was beginning to beat down on the ship. He took a bite of a biscuit and looked up to her.*
"How's the food tasting then?"
*A sudden riock in the ship, yet again, made the galley door slam shut. Michael looked over at it startled, and, standing, went to go re open it. But as much as he tried, it wouldnt budge...they were locked inside the galley, and the only way to get out, it seemed, would be when the crew came down for breakfast. Sighing and glancing back to her, he reported the news and sat down at the table as she went over to try. When she returned, he shrugged and smiled at her.*
" Well then, we have all night to talk. Not enough sleep you said? Anything....on your mind?"

::Jack waited, accutely aware of the fact that her hand was rising...and then dropping and not coming his way. He frowned, almost confused more then relieved....then::
Ya know Jack, if I had known you’d have done that, perhaps I would’ve tackled you often…can’t deny that was one ‘ell of a kiss captain.”
:his ego inflated quite quickly only to be replaced by a sort of squirming fear when::
"But ya know ‘ow I ‘ate being second…..best watch yerself when we make camp for the night….the game’s just begun…”
:He riased an eyebrow and looked at her, not sureo f what to make of that. Maybe it was best they didn't stop for the night. And with a bit of mounting alarm Jack realized it was in fact growing darker....::
::He gave them both a nervous sort of look and then he seemed to come back to himself::
"A game I'll win, Miss Tobbs......" He smirked, ego as always taking over when it needed too. "Yer forgetting...I'm Captain Jack Sparrow....."
::and he walked back to join the others, praying for the sun to delay it's trip across the sky...least until he could find someplace safe....::
::But NOOOOOO....the sun just had to set like normal didn't it? and the sky was growing steadily darker.....wonderful.....:::

Selina went down into the galley and had a bit of the food Michael sat down, eating in silence. All of her proper mannerisms came out here, she used a fork, placed a napkin on her lap and made as little as a mess as possible. When Michael asked how her food was she gave him a small smirk. "It's not the WORST I've ever had...but even THAT isn't too much of a compliment." Selina said as she pulled a few strands of her long dark hair behind her shoulder.
Looking up at him as he went to the door and tried opening it she blinked. "It will not open?" she asked lifting her dark brow. She stood and went towards it, yanking at the doorknob a bit and slamming her fist upon it, but the storm ran its course and thunder soon sounded and she jumped a bit. Then slowly she turned back to Michael. When he spoke she bit her lip a bit and grew nervous. Great...they would have ALL night together.
"Ahem...not really..." She said non chalantly, attempting to let his questions roll off a bit but she doubted she'd hold off for too long. It would be a long night. The candles and lantern in the room made the room a bit hot and she fanned herself a bit. She cleaned her place and then sighed heavily. "Looks like as if we'll have to find something to occupy us then..." Selina began with a sly smile and then looking around the galley. She went towards a counter and sat up on it.
"Somehow however, I doubt I'll get much sleep in here." Selina said as she gave Michael a smile but then shook her head. No, she had to stop herself. As much as she felt lust and that she could simply lose herself in him for the night, she would resist. It seemed Damien found his way into her mind often. Still...she couldn't help but think that she might truly NEVER see Damien again.
"Thank you, for standing up for me earlier..." Selina began simply clearing her throat a bit, trying to distract him from their situation. The candles' flickering cast shadows across his fine features and he looked more handsome than ever in the soft glow. She rubbed the back of her neck and dared not to meet his eyes with her green ones, yet they couldn't help but look to his face for long periods of time.

*Eric grinned and laughed again as he cast a glance towards his hand and back to Evelyn* Yep, just a snake. *He stated in a matter-of-fact tone, looking her over. He was amused at the fact that she was so willing to mouth off to a guy twice her size and yet was scared to death of a snake. He opened his mouth to speak again when she suddenly fainted and hit the ground.
He blinked for a moment and quickly glanced down at her with a raised brow. He glanced around and swiftly knealt down beside her, giving her cheek a couple pats as he repeated her name, attempting to wake her up. Her eyes fluttered and she sat up. He grinned and glanced around.* I haven't seen him since Tobbs followed him. *He stated with a shrug, looking back at her.
As she took of and spotted the Captain he followed after her, raising his brows in surprise as he saw Tobbs and Jack together romantically. He blinked and eyed the couple curiously honestly expecting a full on slap to come in the Captains direction. For a moment he was surprised he hadn't gotten more himself from Evelyn. He cringed a little as the woman raised her hand, ready to strike. But she stopped herself.
As the two spoke he laughed and rolled his eyes, glancing over at Evelyn. For the moment he was almost envious of the two considering that he and Evy were still on rather tense terms. He glanced out at the blazing horizon that was now casting a firey glow over the island. They'd be setting up camp soon and Eric fidgeted a bit, actually rather uncomfortable with the thought. That would mean he and Evy would be setting up their places...together? Apart?*

*Will glanced over his shoulder as Sarah awoke and left the room. It was apparent the ship and stopped and by the sounds coming from the deck they were getting ready to head out into the jungles towards the city of gold. Wills dark eyes returned back to that of Maria and he felt her forehead. The fever had seemingly gone down but she was still asleep which was probably best.
He squeezed Elizabeths hand and rose, stretching a little. He had a rather large itch to head off with the others as it was after all the reason he had come but he wasn't exactly excited about the idea of leaving the young lass unattended in her state.* Elizabeth, love, maybe you should stay and watch over Maria. The ship is probably the safest place for both of you...who knows what's in those jungles. *He said, grabbing his wifes hands in his. He knew she was a strong woman, stronger than most who had her appearance but none the less her safety was always the first of his thoughts.
If he ever lost her, he didn't know how he could go on. He loved her dearly and would never forgive himself if he allowed her to walk straight towards danger and get hurt, or worse because of it. However as he turned to leave he saw Maria sit up, look up him, and almost recoil from him.
His brow furrowed and he sat beside her on the bed.* Maria, you're awake. Are you alright? The crew just left for the island. *He stated and noticed she was acting strangely towards him.*[/i] You act like you're scared of me or something. *He said curiously, wondering what things her mind had showed her during the day.*

*Watching Jack's reaction, she noted the slightly nervous flicker in his eyes. He seemed to be thinking soemthing in a bit of anxiety, and she relished in the thought of perhaps placing thoughts and whatnot in his head on what could happen as night grew dark. Of course she cared for the captain, as she had ever since the cave incident when he offered to help her with her leg. This bit on teasing was all a bit of fun for her, as she'd tried to keep herself away from him for awhile, and now, frankly, she didn't care as much to seem independent to him. She trusted him now....and she felt more for him than she had anyone before him.*
*Tobbs went back to attention when she heard his egotistical remarks on winning. Her smirk rose and matched his as her eyes danced in pure plotting. She folded her arms about her and called out to him as he started walking away.*
"Never such competition will ye 'ave then Jack. I never lose, so it'll be quite the game being played if we both are who we SAY we are. Just wait....the sun seems to be on my side, so until tonight Captain Sparrow!"
*Following back with the others, she watched Jack out of the corner of her eyes. Now she needed to figure out how far she would go just to prove she would win this game. Plus, it was more than just a game for her, even though the game bit made things more interesting. What she really needed to figure out was what was going on in his head....which she would tonight...indeed she would...*
"Oh Look....the moon's rising!"
*She called out loud so everyone could hear, full knowing Jack would hear her as well. She smirked once more, plotting and plotting on what she' do...after all, he WAS Captain Jack Sparrow..but she was TopSword Tobbs...*

Evelyn looked between Jack and Tobbs and smirked slightly. Those two were quite the pair really. She smiled at them then casually left their side. Eve knew they needed their time alone. She looked to Eric and stood close to his side. "Barely off the bloody ship an' it seems everyone's catchin' bloody jungle fever..." Evelyn stated as she nudged Eric's side a bit and rolled her eyes. Her curls clung to her skin, the humidity causing her to look a bit moist.
Looking at Eric she smiled a bit and then looked up through the trees as the sun was seemingly gone. The day was waning quickly, and the moon was soon above them. The jungle was a rather eerie place in the dark, beautiful, but eerie all the same, and Evelyn found herself almost pinned to Eric's side. "Eric mate, erm...d'ye mind if we make camp close ta eachother? I mean...ye ARE rather good with snakes an' all..." She said a bit nervously as she followed Jack into the thick of it all.
They were seemingly searching for camp and Eve slipped a bit as her foot fell on a moss covered stone. "Bloody slippery, hot, humid jungle..." Evelyn muttered a bit frustrated by it all but she couldn't help but smile at all its beautiful. "I tell ye Eric, this place may be a bit off, but its bloody beautiful, wouldn' ye say?" She asked him with a smile, lifting a curved brow, then looking at an exotic, brilliantly colored butterfly.

::Jack looked up as the moon rose felt a bit nervous thn called out: "Make camp. Get a fire going and someone find water."
::Jack may be a sea captain but he wasn't stupid about being in a jungle either. He had his crew to think about and their survival. He took out a pocket knife and began sawing away at the palm branches of a nearby tree:::
::Soon he was contructing what looked to be a very crude tent of sorts from braids strands of palm fronds. He had one constructed that would house two in under a half hour. He'd done this before....and the memory of it made him frown.::
::Yet soon there was another up....and another.....Jack's hands were getting slightly bloody. It wasn't easy work...but he was determined that they'd have some sort of shelter. He turned his eyes up into the trees. He had a better idea. He began cutting down vines..and tying them to tree branches....they soon had a rough netting sheltering the area.::
::He sat down as the rest of the crew began to make a fire....pass around the food they brought...he tore a bandana and wrapped his hands up carefully. they were pretty raw now. Stupid palm fronds...::
::Jack watched his crew carefully. He was responsible for them no matter what they might think. Finally he sighed, and called:: "Two people on first watch. I'll take the first one. I want everyone resting if not sleeping within a hour. We have ground ot cover."
::In saying this he closed his eyes, and sat down, leaning aganist a tree, listening, his hand resting on his sword:::

*Eric folded his arms and glanced down at Evelyn, an amused smirk on his face.* Isnt that the truth. *He grunted, his eyes straying back out to the rising moon. When he eyed her again he grinned and a mischevious sparkle danced in his eyes. He couldn't help his thoughts, afterall they were in a romantic setting...under the moon and stars...and with Evelyn standing there moist and what not. He shook his head a bit* [Keep it together you bloody idiot. *He muttered to himself.
As they began to follow Jack the sky grew increasingly darker. With every new shade he found that Evelyn was that much closer to him until she was practically pinned to him. He laughed a little, slipping an arm about her waist and nodded.* I suppose I can. *He smiled down at her. He chuckled as she tripped and cursed the jungle. He caught her so she wouldn't fall. He nodded a little, looking at her intently.* Very beautiful. *He stated and continued on. As they were instructed to set up camp and start a fire he quickly got to work, helping where he could until all seemed said and done. He lingered by the fire a moment with his hands in his pockets, his eyes just watching the parade of dancing flames.
Finally with a heavy sigh he picked a decent spot beneath the shelter and set his sword and pistol to the side, laying down beside them as he folded his arms behind his head. He yawned and blinked sleepily.*

Evelyn looked back at Eric occasionally until the camp was finally made and all was set up. Eve had gathered the firewood and had struggled to get a fire going, but with striking a couple rocks QUITE repeatedly, she got it. Although her hands were a bit bloody from the task. Taking out her flask of rum she took a swig and then sat far from it. She looked to Eric and gave a smirk. "Ye know, in THIS light, ye know, almost complete blackness ye don' look half bad." Eve teased him as he made to rest under a shelter.
Then all of a sudden it became a bit awkward, should she just JOIN Eric in the shelter he was occupying? No...she decided against it. Besides, up until now, Eve had been making many of the moves herself and she was tired of it really. If he wanted to, he'd make his way closer to her and if not well, she'd survive. She stood briefly and took the sash from her waist, curling it up to make a pillow, and her shirt then hung loosely over her frame, slipping a bit to reveal a bit of her shoulder.
As she gave a deep sigh she looked at the crackling fires and looked over towards Eric as she lay forward, her chin propped upon her hands. "Ye know, I NEVER thought I'd ever come here. I'd heard o' the jungles before, but back when I was on the Devil's Wrath..." she trailed off a bit and then sighed deeply. She had let it slip again but she tried pressing on quickly. "I thought I'd jus' never see it, is all." Evelyn stated with a finality in her tone.
Yet deep inside memories leaked into her mind and she shook her head a bit, trying to shake them off. She hoped tonight she could get some sleep, she was dead tired really, and hand't gotten enough in the past few days. And tonight, with them here, and with Eric a bit distant, she doubted she'd get any. Eve rand a hand through her moist curls and frowned. "Bloody HATE this weather...always turns my hair into a mess..." she stated as she examined her chocolate curly locks of hair.
Out of the corner of her honey colored eyes she caught a glimpse of Eric's face and she smiled a bit. Suddenly there was a soft growl and Eve blinked in the darkness, sitting up a bit abruptly but staying in her shelter. "Gah...I'll NEVER get any sleep here..." She muttered.

*At the command of the captain, Tobbs snapped to work. She went out and got a supply of water for the crew when she foudn a nearby stream that seemed pretty clean. When she returned, she offered the crew some and sat down to nibble on some food. The biscuits she favored, but she was done quickly, as her appetite was a bit lost since she had gotten on the island...or was it when Jack had kissed her? Ah well, she shrugged it off and threw the apple she had been munching on over to the right.*
*When Jack proposed the watches, and that he'd take the first one, her smile resumed its place upon her lips. She made it known to the others that she'd be taking the watch with Jack, as she felt this was an opportune moment, as Jack always said. Glancing around as people began to dwindle into the structures that had been built for them, she bit her lip and looked around for Jack. She let minutes pass so he would slightly unexpect her as she cleaned up silently. Everything was packed up again, and she headed now towards Jack.*
*Apparently she was quite unexpected, for when she approached with light footsteps, Tobbs suddenly faced a steel blade in front of her and between her and the captain. He was definitely trustworthy when it came to watches. Letting the startled expression disappear, she smiled teasingly at Jack.*
"I'm sure ya won't be needin a blade for this little game of ours....don' think I'll resolve ta winning so easily."
*She folded her arms and smiled, taking a seat facing him but still somehow next to him, angled in such a way as that. She was about to give a look that clearly stated 'let the games begin' when she caught the bandanas around his hands. Furrowing her brows in worry, she took up one of his hands in both of hers, examining them in worry and wishing they ahd more than just bandanas to cover the cuts up.*
"What 'appened? We've only just begun and yer already injuring yerself!"
*She said this with more anxiety than cockiness, taking his other hand up and examining it too, careful not to tuch any of the injured areas and cause further pain. With a sigh, Tobbs turned her eyes up to his as she continued checking his hands and trying to aid as much as she could, as she really didn't like the notion of just a bandana healing it.*
"I volunteered to take watch....Thought it could be...useful...so to speak."
*the edges of her lips began curving upward again, though she still looked at him with less tease, though playfulness flittered in her eyes. She brushed her hair behind her ear and inched closer to him, letting his hand leave ehrs as she placed it back by his side with a last trace up his fingers just to leave them with a tingle of rememberance, more tension in a way....good method. Growing bored with sitting there, she decided to use tension against him again...*
"Hmmm....well, we need some kind of competition going here Jack....and since we've got to stay up, we've got to do something to keep our focus....maybe talk...maybe fight like usual....maybe...maybe..."
*And with that spring of momentum, she took control over the situation a tad bit more, adjusting to face him straight on as she let her right hand go on the other side of him as she leaned on it. She brushed her hair back again, now leaning more upon her right arm on the right side of him, and the rest of her on the left side of him, facing towards the tree, and hism as well as he sat there. She totally could keep his focus now, as she was practically right in front of him in the most playful way, though still controlled...even if she was a tad nervous like this herself.*
"Hmmm...well, I say we be constructive. After all, I seem to be fairly in control here now don' I? Or, would you debate such a thing as that? Come now, don' be too 'ard on yerself...."

*Eric smirked at her at her comment about his looks. He ran his fingers through his hair and put on a foaney sexy look.* Ive always thought I was sexier in the dark. *He stated in a suave tone then he laughed and rolled his eyes. He watched her as she started to set up a spot near him and raised a brow as she ended up a little ways a way. He wasn't exactly sure how to take that.
He felt himself blush as her shirt slipped off her shoulder and he coughed nervously, reluctantly looking away, or rather not being quite so obvious with looking at her. He always found her attractive in the light but somehow, in the dark with the fire glowing nearby her appearence seemed more...mysterious. He grinned a little but tried to hide it.
He listened as she spoke, now watching the fire as well. He glanced at her briefly as she again mentioned the hideous ship of her past but for the moment he didn't press her for it. He laughed as she seemed unsettled by growl in the jungle. He sighed and crawled over to her, laying down beside her and pulling her into him.* You can sleep, Evy. Nothing's going to bother you tonight. *He whispered, kissing the top of her head. He figured she'd push him away but he didn't care. He wanted to at least try. He still wasn't sure how much time they had left together and he didn't want to waste any of it.*

:He had heard her coming, felt her footsteps on the ground and a instant later his blade was resting at her throat. But he let it pass....let her check his hands. She thought she was in control. The fool:::
:Jack's eyes narrowed down to slits. He watched her movments carefully. It was a dance. A game of cat and mouse.....only this time the Sparrow and the Sword...and the Sparrow had a advantage. The sword had blundered down to his level....and nobody was watching....bad move....::
::there was maybe a second in which Jack hesitated. But hey, she wanted to play with fire, wasn't going to be his fault if she got burned. some people just didn't learn.::
::He smiled at her, slyly....amused by the fact that she had literally come to his level, even more amused that she was confident....his grin broadened::
"Well, luv...I don't think you're very much in control here....but if that's what you want to think then you're a fool....see because you've made a mistake...."
::He smiled and drew as close as he could into her space bubble, drawing so close in fact that quite frankly his body was less then a hair span from hers, his breath pracitcally in her ear, the warmth of it stirring around her neck...close enough to make anyone fidget...it was rather personal space...Jack honestly did not care...:: "See...if you're competing luv...you never get down to your opponant's level....."
::Jack's hand was moving, just slightly...just enough to not be noticed and yet swiftly enough to make a diffrence....it wrapped around her back, not touching her...: "Because luv...see..if you get too close...." His hand whipped out, grabbing one wrist and and angling it so she fell on her back::
::He smiled down at her, his face all of a inch from hers: "Something like this can happen....savvy?"#nosmileys

Evelyn looked to Eric and smiled warmly as he spoke of his looks and rolled her eyes. "I said ye didn' look HALF bad...I wasn' bloody complimentin' ye." Eve told him with a soft laugh. As he made his way towards her however, Evelyn blinked and stared at him with wide eyes. He was deliberately coming to her now. As he made to lay next to her her jaw dropped slightly. Eric had NEVER been this straightforward before.
As he pulled her into him she blinked and a small smirk crossed her lips. He kissed the top of her head slightly and blushed a bit, though her tanned skin barely allowed it to show. "Ye know...ye've changed Eric." She said with a sigh as she allowed her fingers to toussle in his hair a bit. "Ye have...fer one thing, yer not that bloody thin anymore..." She chuckled as she looked straight into his eyes. "I guess all that work in the Blacksmith was worth it." She whispered and gave him a wink. "An', yer jus'...not as timid,ye know? I mean...I hate to admit it, but I think I've lost my softie." She laughed as she poked him a bit.
She then shook her head and looked away from his eyes, instead, focusing on her scratched up finger and biting her nails a bit. "But...I kinda like ye this way. I think I need somethin' like that. I can' always be a bloody stubborn ass, I need someone ta just force me ta do things." She told him with a sigh, gnawing at her nails a bit and giving a deep sigh. Her honeyed eyes passed over his face. It was all TOO tempting really. They were in such a beautiful setting and the soft shafts of moonlight were bathing them in a wonderful glow.
She didn't want to think of anything, not her past, not the crew, not the gold, not Elinor, nothing, but this moment. Because frankly...she was afraid it would be one of the only ones she would have with him. Scooting in a bit more she curled into him a bit, a worried look in her eyes. Hoping she could remember ever single piece of this moment, who knows if she'll EVER have this with him again.

*Eric felt his skin tingle as she ran her fingers through his hair and he closed his eyes for a moment, savoring the fact she was apparently allowing him to remain this close to her. His eyes opened again and he looked down at her as she said he changed, then he laughed. He had changed, in more ways still than she knew yet.* Well Im glad you think it was worth it because sometimes I wonder. *He grunted, and grinned at her, shrugging a little.* You lost one and I gained one. And dont say that wasnt a soft moment back there with that snake. You fainted afterall. *He winked, his grip tightening about her.
He had hardened since the first time she met him. He felt at the time that he had to just to handle the fact he had let her go when he knew all along what a stupid mistake that had been. He had his second chance now, she was here in his arms. Not to mention she wasn't yelling at him. He smiled a little as she curled even closer to him. He was certainly struggling to fight back all the feelings that enveloped him at the moment. Now was not the time, nor the place even if he wanted it to be. He sighed a little, closing his eyes again and resting his head upon hers.
Something inside him told him to get up and move, gaurd his feelings for her a little closer incase the time came and he couldn't stay. He couldn't hurt her again but he feared he still might. He inwardly shook his head...no he couldn't do this to her again. He needed her. He sat up a little and tipped her head up to meet him and he smiled, kissed her deeply, then laid down sleepily letting his lids droop once more.*
