*Tobbs noted the thoughts as they ran in Orestes's mind...she didn't know how, but she could tell so much from someone just by looking at their eyes. She'd thought he was something different from the crew, just like his cousin, and just like this stranger, but she knew he and his cousin had an authoritive air, something high and mighty to them she guessed...and one glance into Orestes's pools of thought made her suddenly realize she was right....this was no mere mortal.*
*She noted as well the look that made her accept the fact he wanted her to keep quiet about it, to not say a word. He'd been a friend to her so far, so she'd do so.*
*Listening to the quarrel between Orestes and Evy, she smiled and nodded as Evy spoke of how she accepted Tobbs's move, but she didn't know who to side with. So, she decided to let the two fight it out, since she didn't want trouble with Orestes, nor with Evy whom she agreed with more. She didn't think a guest on a ship should be very quick to hurt a member of it nor keep her silence and cause problems*
*As Evy walked away, she sighed and looked back to Callisto, glaring at the newcomer. She didn't like her one bit at all....there was trouble with this one. Her gaze turned to Orestes....she wore a troubled face and seemed to try and say she didn't feel good with this one aboard, and then she turned to Jack and gave him a worried frown....trying to tell him he needed to see the danger this one presented.*
*Turning back to Callisto, she inched a bit closer to her and slightly looked so she could see Jack and Orestes and the others as well as the newcomer while still holding her saber out, not wanting to lower it.*
"I can' say I agree with ye, Orestes, when it comes ta treatin' 'er like a guest. She keeps quiet and tries to stir trouble with a member o' the crew, and then brews up trouble between you and Miss Evelyn. Somethin' isn't right 'ere..."
*She stared straight into Callisto's eyes and couldn't have sent a more warning glare to this 'lady'. It would've been kinder to throw her against the side of a wall and tell her she couldn't harm anyone aboard than the look she was giving her now- it said more than be careful.*
"Guests don' cause tension or reason ta worry....and if she's a guest, she's playin' the role quite wrongly. Missy, ya best be speakin'.
*She lowed her voice to a whisper, just enough so Callisto could still hear*
"Even if ya got 'alf the crew gawking, ya won' fool me, I'm no victim o' cheap tricks and traps."
*She raised her chin slightly and narrowed her eyes, the blue swirling more fiercely now than just misty. Her voice rose as well as she spoke, back to let the crew and Jack here.*
"If ya'd be kind enough, 'guest', ta tell us what's goin on, we'd be obliged ta listen."
*She paused there and looked back to Orestes for slight approval, then inched back more towards him and Jack to recover the safer feeling. She hoped Evy would be alright....she really did like the lady, and would have to catch up with her soon.*

*Eric raised a brow as she said it wasn't exactly a typical thing. He knew there was something more behind her words but he didn't press her for it. If she wanted to tell him, in time she would. A worried look came over his face but it quickly melted away as she playfully slapped him and pulled away slightly and gasped to exagerate his surprise.* Im concerned about you being so violent. *He laughed, throwing his arm back around her shoulders and nudging her a bit. He was conernced about her to be completley honest but he wasn't going to be so blunt about it. As Emma came over he crossed his arms back over his chest and he grinned, glancing between the two women as they spoke. Then he chuckled.* I can't wait to see this contest. *He said, figuring that no matter who won it was going to be close. He nodded and grinned as Emma told him he'd best be there.* Oh trust me mate I will be. *He said and gave her and Rick a nod with his head as they walked off. He looked back at Evelyn as she spoke again and he laughed heartily at her words, his eyes trailing back towards the lass' drinking competition as his hand again found it's way to her shoulder.* Well I'll try to catch you before you hit the ground, but I'm not going to make any promises. *He said with a mischevious grin then his dark eyes shot towards Tobbs as he saw the lass draw out her saber. His hand fell from Evelyns shoulder as she walked away and as she left Eric watched her go, focusing on nothing but her though he wasn't sure why.*
*Will had been watching in a rather stunned silence at all that was going on about him. This new woman who had boarded the ship was beautiful. Like a rose whose petals were soft but beneath them there were deadly thorns. Something was different about her and Will was growing uneasy with the company about him. As soon as Tobbs drew out her own sword Will placed his hand upon the hilt of his own, though he let it remain in his belt. If something was going to happen he was going to be prepared for it. He glanced over his shoulder at Eric and Evelyn and raised a brow. As the lass walked away from Eric, he still seemed too caught up in her to notice anything else.* Eric snap out of it mate! *He called, his eyes quickly turning back to Callisto. He watched with a great deal of caution as the women exchanged words with one another.*
*As Will yelled at him Eric blushed and trotted over, standing beside his friend. He conceled a laugh with his hand as Evelyn mocked the man who had spoken to Tobbs. He glanced over at Will and the two met eyes, shaking their heads.*
*Will looked away from Eric and looked nervously back at Evelyn. The lass certainly had a tongue with her and Will considered himself fortuante to be on her goodside. Or at least he hoped he was on her good side. If Eric was, he had to be. He listened as Orestes spoke again, though he was getting rather annoyed with the man.*
*Eric scowled at Orestes as he spoke to Evelyn about how this new lass wouldn't object to doing something more than punching her. He took a step forward and opened his mouth to yell at the man when he felt Will pull him back and elbow him in the side.* Im not gonna let him talk to her like that! *He exclaimed but he gave up his wanting to attack the man at the look on Wills face. But that didn't stop him from glarring at the man. His fists curled into tight balls at his sides and his jaw clenched. He watched as Evelyn pushed past him then stalked towards Orestes, glancing between him and Callisto.* I dont care where in the bloody hell either of you came from. If you hurt her I'll see to it myself that you both die. *He said, quietly but firmly as his eyes focused on Callisto..*
*Will reached out to grab Eric but the man took off too quickly. He watched as his friend insulted the two rather strange people and he cringed slightly. He wasn't sure why but he felt insulting them was not the best thing to be doing. At least not yet. He crept up behind Eric and placed a firm hand upon his friends shoulder yet Eric didn't turn around.* Eric, could you please stop being an ass for just two seconds? *He said in a slightly annoyed tone as Tobbs tried to get the new lass to speak. Then he glanced over at Jack, hoping that the Captain would have a simple solution to all of this. Though that was a hope he didn't really believe in as "simple" doesnt exactly exist in the world of Jack Sparrow*

Orestes watched Evelyn leave, looking amused...he listened to Tobbs, then, and nodded. Then Eric spoke, and he groaned, putting both hands up in defeat. "Do with her what you will," he said, shaking his head, and left.
He went into the cabin where Rose and Fishy were...sitting, he leaned against the wall. Idly, he summoned some dust into his hand and turned it into gold powder. He made it zoom around the room, changing colours, and watched it with interest. He probably shouldn't've said anything, but he'd wanted to make sure none of them hurt Callisto. Roux would take care of that now...he'd probably end up having to apologize to Evelyn, too.
Orestes sighed. Being mortal was a lot harder than it was cracked up to be...

Evelyn left too quickly and too furious to hear anything anyone else said. She leaned against the sides of the ship staring out, taking deep, calming breaths. "Bloody idiot!" she murmered. She clenched the sides of the ship tightly and looked about. Eve noted as Orestes put his hands up to Eric and she lifted a brow. What had Eric said to do that to the man?
She furrowed her brows and watched as Orestes left towards the cabins and she gave him a hard glare. Eve would stay out of that whole situation for now, she didn't want to get her hands bloody this early in the morning. She watched as Will spoke with Eric and then turned back around. She had nothing but the deepest loathing for Orestes and would make sure to keep herself far from him at all times. Knowing the way he is he might try to provoke her.
Evelyn took a deep breath, placed a hand through her curls and pulled up a seat on a crate, while resting her hands on the ship's edge. Only a few bare emotions running through her, anger, frustration, and curiosity. She hadn't heard what Eric had said to Orestes and wondered what it was he had said. Her eyes turned to Eric and she locked her eyes on him a moment, noting he looked a bit upset, and wondered if could have possibly said a few things in her defense. Evelyn smiled inwardly a bit, but did not notice the grin that had grown on her face as well. If he did she would be very greatful of course, even though her stupid pride would hardly allow her to thank anyone.
Evelyn had never gotten used to thank you's, apologies, or asking for help. It had all been a bit foreign to her, not even being able to remember the last time she uttered any of those. Then her mind turned again and she looked away from him. Thank him? For what? So what if he had said anything in her defense? She could have handled it herself, she WAS. He didn't need to open his mouth for her. At least that's what she thought, but deep down she felt something begin to stir, warmth, greatfulness, affection?
Evelyn sighed heavily again. Eve had once been more of a thinker really, she never was the sort of person that lost her composure like she did now. She used to be quite pensive really, but years of being a slave took that away from you. You learned to lash out when you were threatened, like a savage dog. She learned to act quickly, to act rashly, it was the only way she had survived. Her fingers went to the scar behind her ear, long and deep, and she remembered the incident. Situations like this made her this way...she couldn't remember a time when she didn't have to act so fast, because deep down there was still that bare instinct. The quick and the dead. That is what made up the world and she decided long ago she would be faster than anyone alive.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Emma headed downward until they reached the galley and began to rummage around for anything that would satisfy her hunger…or rather, thirst. Her eyes went straight to the rum barrels and settled there, a small grin tugging at the corner of her lip. “Tha’s what I like ta see.” She said as she grabbed a tin mug and began to serve herself a bit
]“Rum? This early ‘n tha mornin’?” Rick asked lifting a brow as he walked towards the table and took up a seat. “Wouldn’ ya be be’er off with some dried meat and some bread? Or maybe a nice healthy apple?” Rick asked as he picked the red fruit from the basket and began to devour the apple. His eyes stayed steady on Emma and he smiled. He appreciated every moment he spent with her. After being away from her for so long, he seemed almost afraid to take his eyes off her, fearing she might disappear from him again like she had those few years ago. “An apple? Over rum? Yer jokin’ right?” Emma told him as she took a long draft of the rum. “Ah! That was just right.” Emma said putting the mug down gently. “Besides, never really did take a likin’ to dried bread.” She said with a bit of a sour look on her face. She looked at Rick, her bluegreen eyes glancing over him and smiling happily. She had been unsure what would happen now, but it seemed she didn’t need to worry too much. All that mattered was they had found eachother, alive, and at last.
Suddenly the sounds of arguing could be clearly heard and Emma looked up. “Wonder wha’s goin’ on up there?” She asked herself quietly.
“Maybe we should go an’ see, wouldn’ wan’ ta miss the fun, aye?” Rick asked Emma as his emerald eyes turned back to her.
With that they both headed back up on deck, Emma still had her mug in hand and Rick shook his head. The woman would drink herself to death, he knew it. Rick craned over the crowd politely, while Emma shoved her way through a bit. “Emma!” Rick called a bit and followed, he’d be damned if he let her get into any unnecessary mischief and wind up getting herself hurt. They had caught the last few words by Evelyn and watched as she stalked off. Eric yelled a few things and Rick raised a brow. So, those two did have a sort of close relationship.
Emma looked on, downing her rum quickly, and handing the tin mug back to Rick who took it from her. Her hand rested upon the handle of one of her two pistols, she would be ready if anything happened to the crew, looking Orestes over she wasn’t sure about him either. For now though, she would remain silent and awaited the curious woman’s response.
* Maria heard shouting above her, coming from the deck. Yet another fight breaking out. The mysterious woman who had come onboard had certainly caused quite a commotion. Maria headed towards the stairs and sat at the top step glancing toward the crowd. She wondered who the woman was and why she had come here. She took a rag from her pocket and her pistol and started it to polish it. Though she was curious she thought it would be wise to stay as far as possible.
She saw Evelyn leave and walk passed her. Maria propped her head up and watched Evelyn until she turned the corner She sat with her back propped up against the side, glancing between the crowd to below deck*
*Eric watched with burning eyes as Orestes put his hands up and walked off. He glanced over his shoulder as Will spoke to him and he lowered his head and shrugged, brushing his friends hands away.* That's easier said then done. *He said with a soft sigh. Then he grinned and laughed gently at himself. Was he really coming off as that big of an ass? He shook his head, figuring that he probably was, and not wanting to make Will look bad he figured he'd best try to hold his tongue until they got to Tortuga.* Did you see where Evelyn went off to? *He asked, his eyes scanning the ship. Then they paused on Will for a long moment and a bashful smile formed on his face and he rubbed the back of his neck, like he often did when he was nervous or embarassed.* I just want to make sure she didn't get so mad she threw herself overboard. *He added suddenly.*
*Will raised a brow and laughed when Eric said it was easier said then done. He glanced around at the members of Jacks crew and he nodded, agreeing with his old friend.* You're right there I suppose. *He said. A slightly amused look came over his face when Eric asked about Evelyn and then tried to hide his concern with an arrogant comment. He stared at his friend for a long moment, folding his arms and grinning as Eric shifted before him uncomfrotably.* I've seen that look before Eric, I'm not as dumb as you think...despite what you've heard. *He stated. He remembered the sparkle in his friends eye. It was in his own once, not more than a year or so ago when he finally found the courage to go after Elizabeth. Not that he had much choice in the matter but none the less he still loved her and thus went after her.*
*A look of confusion and surprise came over Erics face as Will said he recognized the look on his face and he shook his head.* I don't have a clue what you're talking about mate. *He said then turned swiftly and rushed off across the deck and around the side of the cabins. Shortly afterwards he caught sight of Evelyn sitting down and he trotted over to her then stopped in his tracks. What if she didn't want him talking to her at the moment? Did she want to be alone? Women always had confused Eric and he figured they always would so with a shrug he continued on towards her. He took a seat next to her and he smiled at her softly, staring at her a moment in silence as she seemed to be deep in thought.* Are you alright Evelyn? Wouldn't want you to loose your focus before the contest! *He said in a rather casual tone, though hidden beneath it was a hint of concern.*
:: Damien watched with amusement as Selina placed three silver coins on the table next to the pile of cards. Money had never been of much value to him - it was just another way of keeping mugs full and mouths shut as far as he was concerned. But, for the sake of appearances, he'd always had a fair amount of coinage on his person at all times, just as he did now. He reached into his pocket and, with a sly grin, set five silver coins, identical to Selina's on the table::
"Why not make it a bit more interesting, eh? Three coins will barely buy me a drink back home." ::His charming Italian accent was becoming more apparent as he started to relax around these two women, and his violet eyes twinkled in the moonlight::
"Well, what say you, ladies?"
::Gypsy felt a certain twinge of resentment when Damien placed the five coins on the table. He apparently didn't care about the money, and the only people that didn't care about it were people that had more than was good for them::
::But luckily for her, she had taken as much money as she could from her dead captors before she'd put that part of her life behind her forever. She pulled her attention back to the card game and a grin spread across her face that matched even Damien's. She pulled out five coins and let them cascade onto the table::
"Aye, five coins it is then."
::Barbossa watched from afar as the card game got underway. He wanted to join in, but decided it would be better to wait here for anyone else to show up::
::A few moments later, as he was peering out over the railing into the dark water, he heard voices rising as they came closer to the docks. Barbossa raised his head and looked over at the dimly lit street...and saw a group of three or four people moving toward the ship. Frowning, he made his way over to the gangplank, standing with his hands on his hips in as intimidating a manner as he could::
::As they approached, the voices immediately hushed, and the figures slinked up toward the looming pirate before them. The first, a shapely woman draped in an elaborately decorated cloak, held out her hand::
"Aura Windvern, at your sevice, Captain Barbossa...,"::she said in a creamy voice. Her hand was thin and pale, and adorned with several rings, each with a large gem of some sort. She motioned to the others in her company::
"This is Ferenz Heros, a Spanish blacksmith and master conman.... Here we have Sorji Gerso, an Italian painter with the nasty habit of painting freshly-killed corpses.... This fine young man is Thomas Lyman, an English bookkeeper and hired hitman... and lastly, Gabriel Marin, a French swordsman-gone-pirate. Well, there you have it Captain. May we come aboard?"
::Barbossa raised and eyebrow at the odd assortment of ruffians and murderers before him, then gestured for them to step onto the deck. He called out the order to set sail, then sighed::
"This'll be an interestin' trip...."
"Alright? O' course I am!" Evelyn told him with a small smile, but it soon faded. She couldn't simply lie to him outright. Eve may be a pirate at heart, but she just hated liars. About the worst piece of scum in the world really. Besides to her, liars were people without enough salt in them to face facts. "Actually, no. I'm not." She said flatly sitting back agains the wall of the hallway which led to the cabins. She sighed and began to bite her nails a bit.
"I'm just...angry...tha' man was askin' for a slap, he really was." Eve told him giving him a hard glare and then staring at the ground. "But...somethin' else." Evelyn said almost to herself. "Ye stood up fer me, didn' ye? I can tell..." She told him with a small smile. "But, I can' bring myself to thank ye for it." Evelyn told him pondering this matter seriously. She shrugged, hoping he would get that she meant to. "I mean...I dunno. It's jus' hard mate. I haven't thanked anyone in a while." She sighed again putting a hand through her curls.
"An' and then there's people like him!" Eve said with a soft growl in her tone. "Ye know, the kind that speak when they really shouldn't! I mean he's barely been here and he was talkin' down to me...me! I won' be takin' his sassy comments, I'll tell ye that. I never once insulted him." She grew heated again as she spoke, facing Eric. She hung her head a bit. "Ye better keep him away from me, Eric, or I swear I'll toss him overboard, I don' care what the Captain does to me for it, I've had worse anyway." Evelyn told him angrily. Evelyn had been through so much now, she really didn't fear pain too much. She wouldn't tolerate being talked down to, or insulted anymore. "Ye know I had far more than my fair share of insults and abuse...an' I won' have it anymore." Evelyn told him sternly looking over his face. His dark blond curls framing his face and his deep eyes were kind.
"I never used ta be like this really...I was...well bloody nice at one point!" Evelyn said in a half surprised half amused tone. "But, tha's what happens I suppose, when ye've been in my shoes. But ye know sometimes I wonder, what I would have been like if my parents still lived, ye know what I mean?" Evelyn asked him with a bit of hope he would be understanding. She placed her hand upon the crate to move herself so that she faced him, when her hand fell on something warm.
Eve looked down and saw her hand had fallen on top of Eric's and she looked at it for a moment then pulled away. She said nothing of it, but kept on with the conversation as if nothing had happened. "An'...an'...ye know jus'..." Evelyn paused for a moment to think and then began to chuckle. "Ye know what? I'm blubberin' on and on now." She shook her head and wiped her forehead with the back of her sleeve. "Don' mind me, i's most likely the heat." She said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Selina lifted a brow as Damien placed more coins upon the table. Selina grinned at him, tossing her hair over her shoulder slyly. Her hair was part of her lure, she had been told it many times before when a man had fallen prey to her. They all loved the dark tresses, but mostly the lips. "Fine, i have money to spare." Selina spoke taking out a few more coins and tossing them on the table. Her eyes stuck on Damien. The urge was building once more and his charm was growing, oddly enough. It seemed her was pulling her in even more and she knew before long she would not be able to restrain herself.

:: Damien smiled slyly at Selina as she placed two more coins on the table. She was a fascinating woman, even without her stunning looks. Gypsy placed the five coins in as well, and the game began::
:: Damien placed his six of clubs in a pile beside the main deck and drew another card. A queen. He smiled inwardly, being sure not to let the other two players catch on. He placed it with the two aces and other two queens in his hand, giving him a full house::
::Gypsy waited for Damien to draw a card before she did the same. She placed her queen in the discard pile, then closed her eyes and drew::
//Please....be an Ace...//
::Her heart dropped. The card she was staring at was a four of spades... worthless. However, she betrayed no emotion as she waited for Selina to make her move::
//I still have three-of-a-kind.... That's something!//

(Sorry. My comp died a day or two ago. pardon the delay.....Cally you need to post as Callisto if you can.)
:Jack stood, watching this new woman. clearly she was......well.....odd.....he didn't seem to hear those around him. He just stared. And it wasn't because of her beauty.:
:it was because he felt, that when he looked at her, he was looking into time itself. Space and history, past, present future..it was all in those eyes. He frowned, curious but said nothing:
"Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, miss....." He said with a sort of guarded voice:
"What's a lass like yerself doing floating about in the open ocean?"

Roux frowned at Callisto, and moved in closer to Linea when she spoke to him.
"No doubt she knows who we are." Was all he said, in a low voice. "I only hope she remains silent."
He turned a pair of golden eyes on Linea and let his brother take chrage. Until only recently, Roux had been a silent member of the crew. It would be strange for him to become so openly vocal now. But Orestes was new. He could talk all he wanted.
Roux gave his brother a mild smile, and stepped back a pace or too, wanting to blend in without alarming Callisto. He stayed nearer to Linea and smiled at her instead. "All will be well, if only my brother does not out do himself."
// Hey fellow pirates. I was away for my holiday weekend. I went to a damn desert for it. Lucky me, eh? sorry I didn't let you know I was going to be away, but it was a last minute thing. So I'm sorry if my post is not exactly the best in the world. I promisee to fix any errors that I have made. //

(I'm posting as Callisto all. Hope ye don't mind)
:her eyes roved from the one she knew to be a god. The younger one. She didn't say anything. nor did she speak to the older god. Or respond to any statements thrown her way. The angry gestures did not phase her.:
:She merely darted her eyes about, searching for a person to clinge to if things got much worse. This....Jack Sparrow....volitle.......possibly dangerous, but he was clearly entranced in some way by her. He felt her gift............:
:Taking a few steps back she finally spoke a few serenly beautiful words: "I am Callisto."
:It was a statement and introduction all at once. and a smile that was not a smile appeared next. it was a reflex. A polite thing to do after one introduces ones self to strangers. and these people were most certianly strange. A want wits if they could not spot two gods in their pressence:
:She stared hard at "Orestes" and "Roux" a sort of knowing frown on her face. Had they come to claim her so soon? Typical gods. She looked at Jack Sparrow: "I thank you for letting me come on your ship. and am sorry for...any....trouble I may have...or may cause......"

*Eric smiled softly as Evelyn stated that she was alright but then he quickly frowned as she took the comment back in exchange for a lesser one. He watched as she bit her nails again and he reached up slowly and pushed her hand from her face. He listened quietly as she spoke then he smiled and nodded as she said that the man had deserved a slap.* A slap or something more! *He exclaimed and then a look of surprise came over his face as she asked if he had stood up for her and that she couldn't bring herself to thank him.* Don't worry about it mate, there's no need to thank me. *He said with a shrug. He looked at her as she looked back up at him and he sighed as she hung her head again and stated that he'd best keep that man away from her. He nodded but said nothing. Of course he wouldn't let that man go near her again. Or Callisto for that matter, not if he could help it! But it was more for Evelyns sake than it was theirs. He was sure she could defend herself against them but there was something about the two of them he didn't like and he simply wanted to be on the safe side. He smiled once more as their eyes met again and he held her gaze for a long while, listening as she spoke. As she mentioned having her fair share of insults he frowned a bit but his eyes were still locked on hers.* Im sorry if I ever insulted you. I didn't mean it if I did. *He said softly, almost in a whisper. He nodded as she spoke about how she had once been and how she was now. He understood completly. Before Ashley died he was an entirley different person and now he was reserved and had more than enough walls built up around his heart. As he felt her hand fall upon his he glanced down at it and suddenly felt himself blush. He glanced akwardly to the side for a moment then looked quickly back at her as she pulled her hand away. He couldn't help but feel slightly dissapointed that she did, but he said nothing. He laughed as she did and he gave her a quick shake with his head.* Dont worry about it. *He said, his smile growing as he glanced breifly back down at her hand. Then he looked back at her and he tipped his head a bit, suddenly finding himself surprised that she had opened up to him, even if it was only in the least bit. Still he found himself wanting to share his own expieriences with her.* You know Ashley was the first woman I ever loved. We met when I was 19 and suddenly everything was right with the world you know....like nothing could go wrong. And then the night before our wedding all of my worst nightmares came true and I lost her. I tried more than once to end my life but Will kept stopping me. *He said, his eyes glancing around for Will then they went back to the ground and he frowned for a moment, smiled, then frowned again.* I've built so many walls around my heart that sometimes I feel numb to emotion. Dont worry Evelyn, I understand why you can't say thank you. I doubt I'll ever say I love you to anyone again. *He said, his eyes gazing out to the horizon. Then suddenly he laughed and shook his head.* Youre right I think, this damned heat! *He exclaimed.*

*Tobbs watched somewhat sadly as Orestes walked away...she could see his frustration. As Eric walked up, she noted his defense over Evy and smiled knowingly, hoping he'd go find her and give her consulation....she liked the two..and she felt she could relate to Evy in some way.*
*Hearing Jack's voice, she flinched. She knew he'd been there, but she hadn't really been focusing on him at that very moment. Plus the fact that she didn't really like the man at this point in time and was telling herself she hated him...*
*When he welcomed her and asked her what she was doing, Tobbs furrowed her brows and turned to look at Jack. She was about to say something to the not so nice effect when she heard a pretty voice behind her.*
'I am Callisto'
*She rolled her eyes noticeably and didn't move.*
'I thank you for letting me come on your ship. and am sorry for...any....trouble I may have...or may cause......'
*She gritted her teeth and slowly turned to face the lass, the same glare that could've scared off even a grown man on her face. When Tobbs was angry, you either moved, or learned to the hard way.*
"Was that a threat, Miss Callisto? Because it sounded very much like one ta me...and if you think you can juss float righ' up to thia 'ere ship, try 'urtin' a member of its crew without thinkin' that she, being Miss Evelyn, could squash ya like a bug anytime she damn well wanted, make 'alf the crew gawk and stir up tension, 'ide behind yer cloak and not tell us 'o you are, then threaten that ya might do us 'arm and expect to be welcome?"
*She had half the mind to spit at the lady's feet for threatening them. Who did she think she was, coming aboard like this and thinking she could control people and such? Turning to Jack, she took a step towards him, but her saber was still at Callisto.*
"Yer juss gonna let 'er stay aboard after she threatens you and yer crew, and stirs up dispution? We already know there's somethin' different with her, Sparra, but what we don' know is what she's capable of. Do ya really think that's what should be done? I don' like threats Jack, and frankly I don' like 'er. 'ow can you stand 'ere and welcome her after everything?! She's bloody trouble, can't you SEE that Sparra?!"
*Tobbs was angry. She hated threats. She hated poeple giving threats. She hated those who threat. She disliked Callisto, and honestly wasn't too keen of Jack. The one person she could relate to on board had been hit by this person, and Orestes had become frustrated because of her. She growled beneath her breath and took a few steps towards Callisto, the end of the saber touching the lady's chest now.*
"No one threatens me, or those who I've come to know as friends without 'aving a damn good reason for it. What da ya wan' aboard 'ere. I'm not stupid, yer 'ere for yer own purposes. Now ya better say why, or else yer not gonna like what 'appens next!"

Evelyn looked Eric over with a soft smile as he mentioned Orestes needing a slap or something more. Then looked at him as he shrugged off when she metioned him standing up for her. He had. It meant more than her knew, probably. When he apologized Eve shook her head. "No, ye don', ye were jus' bein' yerself mate. I wouldn' have it any other way." Evelyn told him placing a hand upon his shoulder gently and then pulling back. She had noted that he didn't pull away from her and she wondered, could he have possibly not minded that it was there? Even for that instant?
She shrugged it off a bit, but it remained lingering in her. As he opened up to her Evelyn lifted her brows and she was shocked, he had tried to take his own life. Evelyn never had resulted to that, but then again she did not have a love like he had, one that was responsive and very loving as well. Hers was based on a hope she would be helped off of the ship.
When he said he doubted he'd ever say I love you to anyone ever again Evelyn surprisingly felt disappointed. She felt her heart sink and she didn't know why. Maybe she pitied him? Or maybe.......
Evelyn bit her lip, she didn't know how to respond to him. "Eric, don' ye EVER think of takin' yer life again? Alright? Ye'll scare me to death with that kind of thinkin'." Eve told him with a bit of a smile and playfully nudging him in the side. She sighed heavily. "It is this damned heat. Cursed Caribbean." Evelyn said with a smirk, although her thoughts still lingered on what Eric had told her. It had hurt her to know this had happened to him. "Ye know Eric, yer a good man. I can tell, I would know I've been around some of the scurviest of them, an' ye didn' deserve what happened to ye, or Ashley. Bu' hopefully ye won' let that hold ye back, if someday ye were to find that special lass that treated ye right. Ye know one that would love ye back, completely." Evelyn said softly with a nod.
Her hand found its way his shoulder again. In her heart she began to feel a bit of affection. She hated hearing about what happened to him. He deserved better, someone who would embrace him, comfort him, be everything he would need and Evelyn sighed heavily knowing she could never give him that...did she even want to? Evelyn was starting to believe she might...She was starting to really enjoy being around him, much more than before. She felt safe, appreciated...
