*Eric watchd with an amused look on his face as Evelyn spoke in a sudden and heated tone about Callisto. He laughed softly for a moment but didn't take his eyes off her. He said nothing in return as nothing more about the new woman popped into his mind, except for maybe what she was doing in the middle of the ocean. Then he laughed heartily as she asked if he would be her spotter during the drinking contest. He stroked his chin for a moment as if he was actually considering the question then he grinned.* Hmm thats a tough one. But I guess someone has to look out for your well being. It may as well be me. *He said, a playful look in his eye. He would of course look out for her and wouldn't hesitate to get rid of anyone who tried to hurt her. But that didn't mean he couldn't tease her a bit while she was out of it either. As she went into defense mode about primping herself she suddenly began to teeter a bit. Eric jumped forward quickly and pulled her into him as not to let her fall overboard again.* You're not even drunk yet and already Im having to save you! *He cried still holding her without realizing it.*

Evelyn teetered and looked back, hoping she wouldn't go splashing in again, when she was pulled back aboard and into something warm. Eve turned and saw Eric. She stared into his eyes for a moment, her face so close she could sense his breath. Her hands rested on Eric's arms a bit. When he spoke she laughed awkwardly a bit, and pulled away quickly. "Savin' me? Ye didn' have to." Evelyn chuckled slightly. She stared at him and her smile faded.
Being that close was strangely, comforting, but she shook it out of her head. She turned to him. "Well, 's long as ye act that fast with me, then fine, ye'll be my spotter. But don' ye try anythin' funny, alright? Just remember, at some point I'll regain my composure, an' y'll be sorry for whatever it is you do to me while I'm helpless." Evelyn told him pointing a finger at him. Evelyn didn't think he'd hurt her at all, no, but the man was a mischievious one and he'd probably let her sit in her wallowing in a pub for all to hear. Or might go and do somethin' like get her to try and sing. Evelyn shuddered at the thought.
"All yer there for really is to make sure I don' end up dead in the mornin', or in bed with someone," Evelyn shuddered again. "I hate when tha' happens." She laughed but knew it was a possibilty. She glanced at him with a small smile. It was hard to admit, but she did enjoy being that close...it was safe, not to mention warm, for at the moment she was still soaking wet, but the sun's rays were beginning to heat up.

*Eric gazed at her for a moment as she looked back at him and he smiled. Something about the moment just felt right, though he wasn't sure what it was. Suddenly she pulled away and he took a quick step back, rubbing the back of his neck slightly embarassed. Then he laughed when she told him not to try anything funny.* Now where is the fun in that? *He asked then looked at her oddly for a moment as commented on how much she hated waking up in bed with someone she didn't know. He wasn't sure if she was kidding or being serious but he had a feeling it was the first of the two possibilities.* You make that sound like a typical occurance *He said, eyeing her with a grin. Then he threw his arm about her shoulder and glanced out to sea, in the general direction he believed Tortuga to be in.* Dont worry about it, I wont let anything happen to you unless I do it myself. *He said with a teasing wink as he looked back at her. Then it suddenly hit him that she was still wet and with the breeze probably not the warmest person on the ship.* Are you cold Evelyn? You might want to change before you get sick you know. *He asked then glanced over his shoulder at Emma and quickly returned his gaze back to Evelyn* I mean not because Im worried or anything I just figure it'll be hard to win a contest if your sick. *He added quickly.*

*Tobbs wondered in suprise as Orestes gave her an apologetic glance and dashed away. All of a sudden she heard Sparrow's call and paused...how did he know? Tobbs might've been quick to jump to conclusions on matters of trust and emotions and feelings, but she was definitely good at figuring things out...that was why she was alive now and hadn't been killed so many times long ago....*
*A sudden wave of understanding swept over her face. He did know....the look in his eyes, the expression on his face...she walked nonchalantly up the stairs, and when she looked over to see what had been the commotion, she saw Orestes helping...it confirmed her thoughts. This was no ordinary person. *
*And the one who stood next to him, who was Roux, she'd seen, when he asked what had happened with Rose...he, while resembling Orestes, had another way about him that just seemed different...she was known to be a master mind...and this was her new puzzle to piece together...*
*The newcomer who came aboard....Tobbs couldn't see the person's face. She guessed it was a lady just by they eyes of some of the crew...but something shown in those who watched her that showed concern and caution. Tobbs wanted a closer look.*
*Walking a bit distanced far from them, she made her way next to the crew and on the left of Callisto. The wary look on Jack's face made her somewhat uncomfortable. When she took a step forward and turned slightly more, she saw the lady's face, fair and flawless, somehow unchanged by the suns rays...her hair was almost eerily glowing in a sense, and when Tobbs got a view of her eyes....she furrowed her brows and tilted her head in suprise. She'd never seen anything like them, and being one to search people's eyes quite frequently, she didn't like the feeling.*
*Following the woman's gaze to Roux and Hermes and seeing the expression in the glimmering purple pools, a flicker of acknowledgement and suspicion filled her own and made them narrow on the cousins...*
*Her attention turned back to the newcomer though when she felt they'd notice her watching them, and she shifted rather uncomfortably as she watche Callisto, placing her hand on her hilt. She thought Orestes and Roux were different in an authoritive sense...but this one...she was eerily strange, an odd air was about her, unearthly and suspicious. Tobbs squeezed her hilt reassuringly as if to signify to herself that she'd not be victim to a suprise. Resisting to glance over at Jack, she narrowed her misty blue eyes on Callisto as she waited...*

Orestes helped haul Evelyn and Callisto aboard...he shook his head and chuckled, watching Evelyn a bit. Feisty girl, that one...out of the corner of his eye, he saw others, including Tobbs, approach...but his attention was now fixed on the woman.
Her eyes were...unusual, for lack of a better word, shifting and dancing colours. And she was absolutely beautiful. Orestes had rarely seen such an angelic-looking mortal; she rivaled Aphrodite herself. They'd expected her to be pretty, of course, but not this stunning.
Orestes got over it quickly, however. Now wasn't the time to lose his senses just because of a woman. Katarina had been beautiful, too...he shook those thoughts out of his head quickly - now wasn't the time to dwell on the past, either - and put his hands on his hips. "You know, if everyone keeps standing around saying nothing, nothing is exactly what we're going to get done..." he commented dryly, glancing at Jack.

Evelyn looked over at Eric as he spoke about it being a typical occurence. Eve laughed awkwardly, "No...not typical." She told him slowly crossing her arms and looking out at sea. Actually, it had happened a few times aboard the Devil's Wrath, a sort of prize for the crew for doing something extra special and it hurt to remember it, so she didn't. However it didn't matter because Eric would never know the truth.
As his arm rested over her shoulders she eyed him curiously and shrugged. "Well, like I said, 's long as I don't end up dead, or waking up with some stranger, I'll be fine, bu' that doesn' mean ye can go ahead and do whatever ye like? Savvy?" She asked him sternly as a breeze began to blow. When he turned a bit concerned at her state she chuckled. "There ye go mate, gettin' soft on me. I'm fine. I've been colder before. But thanks for yer cocern." Eve told him teasinly slapping his face very gently.
"It's okay Eric, admit it, yer concerned 'bout me." She said with a laugh. Was he really? Of course he was just being polite, she thought. Her eyes turned to his arm as it rested on her shoulder and a small smirk grew.
Emma looked past the crowd gathering as Evelyn and the strange woman. She eyed her curiously. She was absolutely stunning but Emma just shrugged. All she could think was if the girl was a threat or no, if she was, she'd do away with her, if not then she could care less about the woman. Emma looked around and saw no sign of Rick yet. She sighed and stared around. She caught sight of Evelyn at the moment she was in Eric's arms and she laughed.
" I see they're getting quite cozy." Rick's voice came. He had snuck up on Emma and smiled down at her before looking towards Evelyn and Eric.
"I suppose," Emma said shaking her head a bit. "Y'know Eve an' I 're goin' ta have a drinkin' match, in Tortuga." Emma said nodding towards the horizon in the direction of Tortuga Isle. When Eric looked back at her Emma gave him a small wink. "Ye be'er be ready Eve!" Emma called out to her a bit. "Ye be'er hope luck's on yer side." Emma said teasingly as she walked up next to her.
Evelyn turned to face Emma. "Is tha' right?" Evelyn lifted a brow and looked her over as if sizing her up. "Well ye better hope I die tomorrow or lightnin' strikes me in the next couple days, mate, 'cause that's the only way yer going to win." Evelyn said.
Emma grinned. "We'll see," she turned to look at Eric for a moment. "Ye better be there ta catch the poor lass, she'll be lyin' flat out on the ground by the end of the night." Emma told her with assurance. Emma knew she would beat Evelyn flat out. She had simply had too much experience with rum and the like. Not to say she wouldn't be a challenge, she knew she would, but in the end she'd come out the winner.
"Be careful Emma. Yer not going to be drinkin' yerself senseless at Tortuga." He told her shaking his head. Now that he had finally found Emma, it was all a bit surreal. Being away from her for so long and now finally being here with her, it was wonderfully odd, and he'd be damned if he'd let anything happen to her.
Emma nudged Eve teasingly and then turned to walk away. "C'mon Rick, let's get something to eat, I'm starving." Emma said and with that they were gone.
Eve stared after her. "Yeah...well......just be ready!" Eve said with a bit of a stammer. Evelyn feared the showdown really, Emma could hold her drink like no one else and the last time they had had their little match, Eve ended up passed out on the ground waking up not knowing what had happened the night before. "Yer goin' down Emma Hawkins!" Eve called out angrily at her then turned to Eric. "Actaully, I think I'll be hittin' the ground like a log before too long," Evely smiled putting a finger to her lips. "But she doesn' need ta know that."

*Maria looked around and figured her business had been served. She headed downstairs to her cabin to clean herself up. She swung the door open and walked over to the sink. Maria splashed water across her face and cleaned off the dirt smudges on her cheeks. Maria looked down at her hands, The softness had worn away and were tattered from the rope. She scrubed them and wrapped a piece of cloth around them. Maria looked into the broken mirror and fixed her hair into a loose bun* "There..." * She told herself.* " That's better..." * She shook the water off her hands and explored the ship for other doings.*

:Linea wondered what all the commotion was happening on deck and walked over to have a look. At first glance, she saw Evy ringing water out of her curls, then she saw a stranger standing in the middle of the crew. She couldn't see very well from where she was but through the words of others, she'd gathered she was different. Linea squeezed through the crowd to get a look at the person Evy had gotten wet to save and was stunned at her appearance.:
Oh my goodness....
:Her voice was caught in her throat as she was mystified at this woman. She was not only the most beautiful and perfect woman she had ever seen, but her eyes were beyond words. Such a colour was not normal and quite unheard of. As Linea looked over the crew, she saw that they were all attracted to this woman, just because of the fact that she could capture an audience and hold their attention. Linea looked at the woman's eyes and followed their gaze. The woman's eyes were lighted on Roux and Orestes and Linea began to wonder.:
She knows, or at least suspects something, but what, I don't know.
:Linea walked over to Roux, a little worried and stranded in a state of wonderment. She touched him gently on the arm to get his attention then she whispered to him.:
My lady seems to know you Roux. :She said, meaning Callisto:

*Tobbs was getting bored with the silence....she didn't, for the first time in years, feel safe standing there alone near Callisto and far from the rest. She kept her eyes on the...person, if you could call her that, and went over to stand by Linea, near Orestes as well. For some reason she felt protected when near them...she was too stubborn to admit she'd felt the same way with Jack, and she wouldn't let herself go hide behind him either.*
*Growing impatient with the silence, Tobbs nodded at orestes's words. When she saw his glance over at Jack, she took a step closer to Callisto, eyeing her once more. She didn't make Tobbs feel comfortable at all, and she'd hit one of the crew out of no reason of her own...*
*Drawing her saber, Tobbs, being herself of course, took another step towards the stranger and held it out, not close enough to touch her but close enough to be in range of her. Pointing it straight towards her throat, she watched the odd one's reaction. She didn't like her really, she didn't like her at all.*
"Alrigh' then, if no one's ta 'elp move this on, tis best someone would do something, even if that someone's me."
*She looked over at Jack, whom she was now closer to since she stepped forward, and whispered slightly enough so he could hear but no one else could*
"Or maybe tis the cause 'o the Cap'n takin' in someone on 'is ship 'e don' even know, even after this person tried 'urting one of 'is own crew..."
*Muttering the last bit, she turned her focus back on Callisto, inching another step forward to make sure the stranger knew of the weapon being pointed at her.*
"What brings us the pleasure of seeing a nymph yonder in the sea, 'o looks rather like she don' belong 'ere with us? If ya won't intraduce yerself righ' when ya get aboard, ya might want ta do us the pleasure of sayin' so now so we don' 'ave ta stand around all day."

Orestes raised an eyebrow, obviously surprised, as Tobbs acted by pointing her sabre at Callisto and speaking forcefully. That girl was indeed something, he noted approvingly. He stepped forward, not to block Callisto from Tobbs, but close enough to the latter to stop her if she tried attacking the new girl. He'd caught her glance towards him...he knew that she knew he was a god. He also made a mental note to let her know not to be so obvious about it...he and his brother were trying to stay inconscpicuous here...
"Although I'm not sure I think Miss Tobbs's method is an entirely proper way to greet a guest..." Orestes began, glancing at Tobbs mischievously, "I must say I agree with her. My lady, won't you tell where you come from? Why you're here? Or if that's too much...perhaps just your name?" He gave her a gallant grin and inclined his head in a way that managed to suggest a formal bow.

Evelyn turned her eyes from Eric as she heard a voice speak up forcefully. It was Tobbs and Eve smirked. "Well what do we have here?" Eve said, placing a hand on Eric's shoulder, prompting him to drop his arm from her shoulder. Evelyn stepped away, reluctanlty, from Eric and forced her way through the others to reach the woman. She noted as an unfamiliar crew member stepped forward and she frowned at him? What sort of pirate was this? Tellin' Tobbs to calm herself, givin' this mysterious woman a bit of a bow...? What the bloody hell was goin' on here. She eyed him suspiciously.
"An' while yer at it why don' ye offer her a cup o' tea?" Evelyn said in a mocking tone and rolling her eyes at him. "This woman punched me in the face! Not to mention won' even 'ave the decency to apologize!" Evely spoke forcefully stepping in front of the crew. "Yer right in yer ways, Tobbs..." Evely spoke. She had only known her name from eavesdropping earlier on in the voyage. "I say we force the woman ta talk, either she says somethin' or we can always toss her overboard." Evelyn said with an evil grin as she spun to look at the woman. Evelyn's hand rested on the hilt of her sword as she moved closer.
"So what will it be, miss? Talk? Or would ye rather plunge into the deep blue? It would be my personal pleasure to see to the latter." Evelyn told her as she stepped towards her.

Orestes raised an eyebrow; far from being insulted by this woman's comments, he was simply amused. She wouldn't be talking this way if she knew that Hermes could toy with her life however he wished...if he so wished. But he'd never been one to fight fire with fire...he was easygoing and slow to anger, and preferred to goad those who attacked him to near insanity. There was a reason so few picked fights with him...they didn't know what they were getting into...
"'Case you're forgetting, miss," Orestes spoke pleasantly, "this woman did indeed punch you in the face...I'm sure she wouldn't object to doing it again. Perhaps even worse." He grinned. "Charming, amiable lass, aren't you? But would you rather kill her? And bring the anger of the gods down upon you?" An expression that could almost be described as serious were it not on Orestes' face settled there. "She's got the gods' mark upon her. Can't you tell? Or were you too busy slapping her to notice?"

Evelyn paused as she heard a voice speak up behind her and she spun to face him. He spoke calmly and she crossed her arms and lifted a brow. "Her? Do anythin' ta me? The woman did punch me, yer right, but she barely left a mark." Evelyn told him displaying to him the side of her face. Barely a scratch was left from her fist. "An' I would LOVE ta see the woman try anythin' again." She said with a small laugh.
"Anger of the gods? What gods are ye talkin' about? I only know of one. Besides what would YOU know 'bout the gods anyway? An' yer tellin' me she has the mark of the gods? Well then they can bloody well have her!" She said calmly but with a hidden growl to her tone. "And you!? Who are ye ta be talkin' to me that way? Since when did new sailors gain the rights ta say anythin' 'bout what we should do?" Eve asked him as she stepped closer to him. "I've sweat and bled for this damned crew and ship, what 'ave you done lately? I don' even know yer name." She spat, she was fed up with this. Other newer crewmates thinking they could do whatever they wanted. And this one had an air of arrogance to him that Eve didn't like.
However the most interesting thing was that it almost seemed as if he threatened Eve, saying she could have the anger of the gods upon her. She took a glance at everyone, wondering what the rest of the crew thought, but not really caring too much. She was right, she knew she was, and unless the Captain told her to step down she'd remain firm in what she had said.

"If she didn't leave a mark, then don't complain," Orestes replied calmly, grinning again. This woman really was very quick to anger. It would be her downfall one day, he could tell. "And what other gods would I mean? Have you looked at the girl? There's only one place in the world with women so fair, and that's Greece."
Orestes knew he was treading on shaky ground here. It wouldn't mess things up too badly if he was forced to reveal himself, but he'd prefer to stay incognito at least a bit longer. "You're right, I shouldn't talk, being new," he agreed with her calmly. "But I don't see anyone else offering an opinion. Has it suddenly become a crime for someone to say what they think? No one's forcing you or anyone else to listen to me. No one's stopping you from throwing me overboard along with her. Can't I say what I want? Is there something dangerous about voicing an opinion?"
His tone was calm, cheery; you'd think he was telling a joke. His words, though, carried power and authority; not a low, obviously, he didn't want to overdo it, but it was obvious he meant what he said.
"You don't know my name? That's easily remedied." He bowed to her gracefully. "Orestes Kyrillios, at the service of this charismatic lady."

Evelyn looked Orestes over and shook her head. She gripped her arms strongly, resisting the urge greatly to simply toss the man overboard herself, but that would be going a bit too far in this matter and the Captain most likely wouldn't like seeing her fighting other members of the crew.
"I'm NOT complainin'...I was pointing out her damned intentions. And, women that fair in Greece ye say? Isn't that bloody amazing!" Evelyn told him rolling her eyes at his comment. "Is that supposed to matter? And as for you voicing yer opinion, go right ahead, although it'll hardly make a difference what ye say. Just stating the facts." Evelyn told him standing tall against him. "Yer lucky the Cap'n's a good man, or I'd have done away with ye already..." Evelyn told him strenly. Her fists were clenched and she could even envision herself tossing the man overboard, watching him plunge into the deep seas. A fiery temper was one thing, but standing around asking questions all day would do nothing for you either.
Evelyn stared him down, holding her ground. "I'm done with ye, an' don' ye dare come back at me with a so much as a wrong glance or I swear I'll make certain you end up back in yer beloved Greece...in a bloody casket." Evelyn told him strongly. Eve turned to Jack and then stalked away from Orestes. She needed to calm down before she did something too rash. She pushed past the crowd and Eric as she made her way to the side of the ship where she leaned against the gun walls, taking a few deep breaths.
Evelyn couldn't help the way she acted, she had grown up this way, learning she had to be tough as nails. Besides, if anyone were to ask her opinion she would get rid of Orestes, he was too suspicious and arrogant, causing trouble with the crew and all. He was lucky she was sober, and aboard Jack's ship.
