Where was Fishy? That was a question, appearantly, not a soul aboard had thought to ask. Not even the man himself. Ah, but where was the lad? Now that was a question, but why answer a question when no one cares for the answer?
The lad had been sitting on the foretopmast, alone and quiet. He'd grown nearly exasperated with the rest of the crew, feeling half left out, half wanting to have little to do with anyone. So he went to a place on the ship he hoped no one would be foolish enough to follow him to, and sat, gazing out to sea. Eventualy, he had fallen asleep, laying back across the weathered wood.
Not long away, Joe had done the same, snoring somewhat, and rocking back and forth in his hammock that dangled off one of the masts, occasionally licking his lips or stratching something, in his sleep.
It was just at dawn that a large wave hit the ship, and sent it rolling slightly. Slightly enough that no one took notice, but enough that it shifted Fishy's weight too far too quickly. He slipped from the foretopmast, suddenly and rudely jerked awake, but a moment later unconcious again when his head struck full into the bow of the ship, in his fall. There was a painful thud, he nearly flipped in midair, and hit the water with a quiet splash. The ship passed by quickly, a half concious Fishy struggling to remain afloat, dwindling away behind.

Rose had been watching the slow sunrise from the deck when she felt the ship rock ever so slightly and heard a loud thud. She looked around to see what had caused the noice...there! In the water! The boy...oh, what was his name...Fishy? No matter, he was slipping under the surface...without a thought to her own safety, Rose jumped overboard after him.
It has taken Hawk quite some time to get used to the idea of there being a god aboard the ship...and he still wasn't sure why he had to have been aboard the Pearl. Still, Hermes had been vague and unspecific, simply outlining that he was a god and that Hawk was needed on the Pearl. Sheesh...leave it to a god...
As dawn broke, Hawk was walking up onto the deck...hoping he didn't run into Hermes - or Orestes, as it were. He suddenly heard a thud, as if someone had hit the side of the boat...he ran to the side in time to see Rose dive in after the young man in the water.
Hawk groaned, very loudly. "Oh God! Leave it t' that girl...'ve only known 'er for a day, an' already she proves she's mad!" He quickly scrambled for a rope; finding one, he secured the end firmly to the ship and threw the other over. "ROSE! YOU CRAZY LASS! GRAB ON!"
Rose dove under, looking for Fishy. She finally found him and dragged him to the surface...he was unconscious, which explained why he had let himself go over. The lad was usually like a fish in water, hence his name.
Rose, meanwhile, was beginning to regret jumping in after him...the water was cold, and she was tired. It sapped her strength quickly...then she saw the rope. Quickly, she looped one end around Fishy's waist. With every fibre of air left in her lungs, she bellowed, "TAKE 'IM UP FIRST!"
Hawk groaned again and shook his head. "That girl..." But he did pull at the rope to bring Fishy in...when he'd hauled the boy back up onto deck, he glanced around, wondering if he was too junior of a crew member to ask for help. He figured someone would notice the soaked young man on the deck...he had to get Rose up.
Hawk felt a tug on the end of the rope, signifying that Rose had grabbed on. Feeling his own strength waning, he hauled Rose up onto deck and grabbed her shoulders roughly. "You're crazy!" he yelped, glaring at her. "You could've been killed! Should've at least taken a rope with you - "
Rose just grinned at him, swaying in place. "'Ey...you gotta be crazy t'be a pirate, mate..." she said in a drunken-sounding slur. She winked, grinned again, and promptly passed out.

Fishy was no better at all. For one, he was just as unconcious as Rose, his head hanging limply to one side. His skin had turned a pale white/green, his lips a chilling blue. Seaweed dangled from his hair and clung to his arms, his clothes were waterlogged and soaked. It seemed as if he weren't breathing, and with every second his body grew paler.
And to top it all off, heavily diluded blood swirrled round with the sea water that made a puddle under Fishy. Blood oozed slowly from a large gash that ran from his brow to his eyebrow, some of the blood running into and across his eye. One could only assume it was from when his head impacted the bow of the Pearl.

Hawk looked anxiously from Rose to Fishy...then noted the blood pooling under the latter and choked. He instantly knelt beside the young man, biting her lip as he examined the wound. "Oh God..." he muttered, looking terrified. He cast an axious glance around the ship...did anyone notice the situation? He wasn't prepared to handle something like this...
Finally, he decided that Fishy was in need of more urgent attention than Rose. With a pang of regret, Hawk left the girl on the deck and scooped Fishy up, wincing as the boy's blood dripped onto the deck. He quickly carried him into the cabin Rose had given him and went to work.
First, he lit a fire and pushed the bed beside it to warm Fishy up. Then, he grabbed a cloth and began to clean the wound; he wasn't sure exactly how deep it was, or how long, but cleaning it would tell. Hawk's mind was racing as he cleaned and bandaged the wound; Fishy would need clean clothes, and to stay by the fire for a long time, until he "thawed" out...

Fishy moaned in his unconcious state, and began to splutter a little, some nature of fluid, mostly sea water, dripped from the side of his mouth as his head hung to one side. The bleeding grew slower, but did not stop. The wound, luckily, did not have any major splinters in it, it was only a concusional wound, but there still was a large gash. Perhaps some corner of the ship had caught Fishy's head as he fell. Aside from less bleeding, the lad got no better. If one were to feel his head, they would've found it feverishly hot, the rest of his body cold as a dead fish.
Back on deck, Joe Marrin fell from his own hammock, but half intentionally, landing on a pile of foodstuffs and rolling off. He stood up, grumbled, and dusted himself off. Some lousy youngsters had woken him up, by yellin', 'n he wasn't about t' let his beauty sleep go disturbed. "'lright ye maloderous lil' sea rats, ye be'er g't t' stop yer hoo'in 'ight 'bout now, else I" he stopped mid sentance, when he saw Rose laying sprawled on the deck. He whipped salt water from his brow with the back of his sleeve, let out a sigh, and mumbled "D**nable young'uns on a ship 'f war..."
and made his way over to the girl. He smoothed her brow with his weathered hands, and checked t' find her pulse, as much as the man knew how. He stood up again, and hollared rather loudly. "GIT O'ER 'ERE EF YE VALUE THIS 'ERE GIRLS LIFE"

Evelyn had been leaving the galley, a mouthful of bread, when she heard a shout up on deck. She lifted a brow? What could have happened this early in the day? As she passed a cabin with a door open she peered inside. She spotted a not so familiar face looming over another, he was the stowaway and the other, Fishy, was one of the younger members of the crew. She furrowed her brows looking over the man's shoulder at Fishy. It didn't seem like he was all too well.
Then, fixing her eyes straight up she had an urge to see exactly what had happened. She ran down the hall and climbed the steps quickly to find Joe Marrin, kneeling over Rose's body. She was soaked through and rather pale. "Rose?" Eve asked as she bent over her. Her eyes went over her and she looked to Joe Marrin, then back at her. "Well I be'er get her warm and dry." She said with a groan and with that, bent over, took Rose by the wrist and pulled her so that she draped over her shoulder.
Rose was rather light and didn't bother Eve much, besides she had gotten used to carrying much weight over the years. Her legs shook a bit, but she steadied herself. Carefully Eve made her way down towards the cabins and made her way towards an empty one, kicking the door open she dropped Rose off on the bed.
Evelyn looked her over carefully for a moment assesing what she would need. Then brought a few blankets and things. Evelyn was never a very amiable person and her stern nature shown even now, but the fact that Rose was in danger at least prompted Eve to shown some concern for the girl.

Hawk's relief at the lack of seriousness of the wound was palpable. Sighing, he wound the bandage tightly around Fishy's head, securing it to stop the blood flow. Hawk knew, though, that unless Fishy woke soon and changed clothing into something warmer, there could be lasting consequences. He felt the young man's forehead; unlike the rest of him, it was burning.
Biting his lip, Hawk drew a vial of ammonia out of his belt - if being a pirate had taught him one thing, it was to always be prepared. He uncorked it and moved it under Fishy's nose, hoping desperately that the pungent scent would wake the lad.
Rose groaned as only a wounded teenage female pirate can groan and sat up in the bed. She promptly fell back over, clapping a hand to her head. "Oh bloody..." she groaned, then broke off to sneeze. Joe's yelling had woken her, and she was freezing cold...she shivered and sneezed again...her last coherent thought was that her head was aching and she could barely move. Then she dropped off to unconsciousness again...

*Upon hearing the other's name and the question of what hers was, Tobbs spoke up as she was in thought...*
"Call me Tobbs, most everyone does. Tis good to meet ya Orestes."
*She raised a brow and continued on*
"A high placed last name for a sailor, seeing it means lord or lordly and all...can't remember which of the two it is...but it definitely refers ta the 'igher in rank."
*She half grinned and leaned against the ships siide, sighing when he asked his question. Her eyes looking down and her grin fading, she searched for the right words on how to put it.*
"I'm not one ta easily trust others Orestes....I've 'ad a troubled life, but I won' send myself on a pity party. Tis plain to me my life 'asn't 'ad 'appiness in it longer than a second or so....so I've resolved there's naught in life that can bring such 'appiness fer me, and if someone says there can be, they're either liers or deceivers, as I've 'ad to learn that the 'ard way. Now yer captain seems ta think he can make me believe that there is 'appiness...and 'e's bein caring, and 'elpful, and kind about things...and all 'o acted so ta me and got me ta believe it 'ave tricked me and I've ended up 'urt by it, so why should I trust i'm? Plus....'e did somethin', or rather a few things, to feed the fire in me, and I acted upon it. It's like a fight goin on with me....'alf of me says to believe 'im, the other 'alf says I shuld be 'ow I've been fer the past few years...and frankly, I'm leanin towards that side since I've 'ad no 'urt really in me life with it...."
*She sighed again thoughtfully, looking back up and searching Orestes's eyes for answers. For some reason she could talk to him, tell him things right off the top of her head and believe perhaps he could help. She sensed a peace around him that made her feel she could talk...*
*But then, there was still that something different about Orestes. She wondered about him....there was that glimmer she saw in his eyes, barely visible to even her....and there was something about him that was different...and his name, that name....she decided she'd try to figure it out later. Right now she'd need to talk to him. She did like the vibe he gave off, the wild and fun sense he seemed to possess in his nature*
"But enough of me babblin'. What are ya doin' so far away from 'ome? And 'ow long 'ave ya been aboard? Seems yer thought of alot by some..."
*She glanced over to where Rose and Jack had been. She had noted their occasional glances at orestes and knew the thought something was different about him too. She saw the young girl was gone, and turned her eyes to where Evelyn was carrying her away. Worriedly furrowing her brows, she looked back to Orestes*
"Well that don' look too good...'ope she's alright."
*She shifted her feet uncomfortably as she realized she'd shown some emotion that showed she was actually thinking of someone else's well being. But then again, she still felt she could trust Orestes somewhat...so she glanced over at Rose once more as she went out of view and turned to hear Orestes speak.*

Orestes was considerably surprised that Tobbs could decipher his last name; it was Greek, of course, his native tongue, and not many pirates could speak it. This woman was just full of surprises, wasn't she?
He listened to her story with a thoughtful expression on his face. Even as a mortal, Hermes almost never frowned; the mere thought of it was practically irreverent. The pensive gaze he wore as he studied Tobbs was the closest to a frown he ever got. He made sure not to show pity on his face - somehow, he knew Tobbs wouldn't appreciate it - but he managed a sort of sorrowful sympathy. And as he listened to Tobbs, he felt a sharp burst of sympathy for her. He'd summoned up images of her past and felt deeply sorry for her. Not just what she'd been through, but what she'd gotten from it. If there was ever an eternal optimist, someone who saw the good in every situation and did his best to spread that to others, it was Hermes. To see that extinguished from someone entirely was almost a personal blow.
He'd done so before in passing thoughts, but it was time to officially declare it: Hermes was taking Tobbs under his wing and seeing to it that she got the spark back into her life. Curse Apollo for being right...he knew I'd help her if I spoke to her, Hermes thought a bit sourly, but mainly in gratitude. I might take a century or two of teasing off for that...
Tobbs's questions made Orestes' mind whirl; he'd considered a few stories, of course...after all, he was the god of merchants and politicians. He always had a story prepared. However, he still wasn't sure exactly which one to use.
But then she pointed out Rose's condition, and though his expression didn't change, Orestes was instantly alarmed. How could he have gotten so caught up that he'd let one of his patron family be hurt? He'd attend to her later, he promised himself silently...and the other one that was hurt, the one with Hawk. Still, it was good to see Tobbs display some concern towards someone else...
Orestes turned his mind back to Tobbs's questions and grinned a bit, adopting a devil-may-care expression. He regarded the sea and considered his reply a bit before beginning. "I just got aboard yesterday, 's a matter of fact...looking for my cousin Roux. Someone's got to keep an eye on him...make sure he doesn't get too stiff." His eyes wandered a little and he spoke unguardedly for a bit. "I'm surprised he became a pirate before me...I'm the crazy one in the family, I never would have pictured him here. Now that I'm actually here too, well, it's a wonder I didn't come sooner. I love it.
"I'll probably go home soon," Orestes added, but even as he spoke there was doubt in his tone. He enjoyed this life more than he would have thought possible...and with the Tobbs situation, he knew he'd have to stay longer...

Eve looked her over and opened her mouth about to speak to Rose as she sat up in bed and then fell back onto the mattress. "Ah, bloody 'ell! How'd she get this way anyway?" Eve said with a soft growl as she left the room and headed to where Fishy and the stranger sat.
Eve barged in on them as the young man placed a vile under Fishy's nose. The pungent smell was strong and Eve put her arm up to block the wave of the smell. "Ah, what the...? Wha's that?" Evelyn asked him lifting a brow. Spying the vile she stopped and knew exactly what it was. As the young man turned she eyed his face, he reminded her of someone but, she shook it off. "Listen, I took Rose to a cabin down the hall. When yer done 'ere could ye come down there an' 'elp wake 'er too? I'd 'ppreciate, it. 'M Evelyn by the way." Evelyn said with a nod before heading away.
Evelyn was never too good at taking care of people, of looking out for the helpless. She had always just though of herself, so staying in a room watching over an unconscious crewmate was more than a bit odd for her. But she took a seat and propped her feet up on the edge of the bed. She bit her nails as she looked Rose over, she'd be alright, simply a bit out of it, wet, and cold she supposed.

*Upon catching the expression of sympathy in his eyes, Tobbs was relieved she wasn't going to be sent a wave of pity on her. A small look that seemed to say 'thank you' glistened in her eyes and vanished as he began talking. She listened to his words intently, absorbing everything he said with new understanding for the first time in many years. Once before she had done so when she listened to her eldest brother before he died, and that was all*
*Seeing his expression as he gazed at the sea before replying made her smile again. She liked his way of considering things and the expressions he made as he spoke. Listening to his story, she was quite suprised to learn he'd come aboard yesterday.*
*Continuing to hear his story, she watched his eyes mostly as they wandered around, and caught the look of him being off guard. She searched his eyes and tried to see what he was thinking as he spoke...before he'd looked like he spoke the truth, but now his words seemed to be coming in a fashion almost like it was coming from his heart. She noted the relation he had with Roux and wondered where this man was aboard the ship.*
*When he mentioned going home, she tilted her head and almost had a look of wishing he wasn't going to leave. He'd, for some reason, been able to let her actually feel he could be a friend, and she'd doubt any other of the crew would be so obliged to do that now. The doubt in his voice was all that was needed to lift her spirits back up. When she caught him noticing this, she shook her head and hid her feelings. Blast it, she'd gone off gaurd again. *
"It's good ta 'ear you like the life of a pirate....there are those 'o think it's terrible, and others 'o luv it and couldn't be anywhere else. But if ya choose ta leave, 'ow will you get back 'ome? You'll need more than a small boat ta sail all the way there...'ow'd ya get 'ere in the first place?"

Apollo turned to Linea and smiled. "My young brother and another god whom in his best interest would do to steer clear of us right now."
Then suddenly, just as a twinkling of a eye, Apollo sensed something was not well. Something was wrong back at the ship. He looked at the sky, and then to Linea, his eyes glowing brightly.
"Come. I will bring us back again soon, but not all is well on the ship. We must go." He held her hand tightly in his own then turned to face her. He pressed her as close as he was to dare, and in a instant, they were off.
riding the last rays of the sunset, they raced towards the Sun, faster the speed itself screaming past them. and they were back, back on the deck, where they had started. It was still early dawn here. And Roux now looked around, and smiled at Linea briefly before tryingto solve the problem at hand. It appeared to be Fishy and Rose.
"What's happened?" He asked the nearest person who happened to be Tobbs. "What's the mater?"

:Linea was curious to know of whom the other god was, but she remained silent. When Roux said that all was not well on the ship, she was glad that he held her close and they sped away back to the ship. She didn't want to be out knowing that one of her crew members were in trouble. When they were back on deck, Linea was worried. She only hoped it wasn't her cousin. Linea listened intently to Roux as he spoke to Tobbs, hoping she'd let them know exactly what was going on.:
I hope everyone is alright...
:There was nothing more she could say, as she didn't know what was going on, but she could pray for the safety of them all, and did so.:

:Jack often times wondered if he was really the craziest of his crew. He seriously doubted it at times like these. Fishy overboard, then Rose in after him.:
:Jack swore loudly, using words that most people had never known of, and if they did they'd never use them. He ran over with the rest of the crew and peered down at Rose and Fishy. Worriedly he looked on as the pair were carried to a cabin and he followed them both.
"Damnit..what in the name of all that swims in the oceans did ye think ye were doing?" He muttered at Rose then checked her over, looking for wounds, bruises. Anything. He was worried.
"Rose?" He touched her head gently then frowned then looked over at Fishy who was being cared for. He wasn't sure how bad the wound was, but he looked as if he'd live from it. Poor lad.
:He then turned to Hawk.: "Ye alright lad?" He asked, as Joe and Evelyn lent a hand or four. "she'll be alright." He nodded to Rose. "Hav'nt had a soul die on us yet on this ship. Least ways not from a tumble overboard........" He tried to be reassuring.:
:He stood and looked around. There was not mush he could do here. It appeared the injured had enough hands to help them as it was. He considered it, and bad as he felt about leaving he did. "Keep them both warm. And dry. And give them some rum. "He said helpfully: "And keep them alive at all costs. We'll be on dry land soon and when we do we can have them looked at there, savvy?"
:and he left the cabin and shut the door. If anything was to be done and he was needed they could find him at the helm.:

Roux spotted the two injured people being taken to a cabin. He turned to Linea with a curious stare then flashed a golden eyed look before worriedly, following the captain.
When Jack left, Roux stayed behind. not sure if he could help. It was a fact he could probably heal both of these mortals to full health in the blink of an eye, but that would cause to many problems. Instead he hung back and looked at Hawk and Joe and Evelyn.
"Please let me know if I might be of some help to you." He said softly. 'I am learned in basic healing, but I'll only help if you wish that."
He offered them a small smile and waited, hoping he'd be of use.
