"Apollo?" Hermes's voice was full of disbelief as he appeared next to his brother, frowning. "What on earth are you doing here? I thought you'd be far too busy with that Linea girl to check on me." He smirked a bit. "Well, I did have to catch up on the latest news...and better at night when no one can see me. I've established no ties on the ship yet, brother. If I do, I won't leave so often...

(*cough* um....I was a bit bored...so um...don' go thinkin Tobbs is mental....just a bit 'off' from the pain and weakness and such, and emotional sure...*g*)
*As Jack stood, Tobbs straightened as best she could without flinching from tire or pain. She didn't know about this Sparrow...he was so different than the rest...she smiled a bit more when he bowed and welcomed her, but she kept quiet and watched him leave.*
*Sinking to the chair, she placed her hand on her forehead and sighed. What was she doing? Moments ago she was trying to kill the man, and seconds later she was actually talking to him. Why?*
*Odd as it seems, Tobbs began having a confrontation with herself. The side that once made people view her as kind, caring, giving, and very people loving was debating with the side where hate, rage, and the belief that the entire world was hopeless and couldn't have one piece of happiness in it. What had changed her so much? What was she hiding from her own self? In time it shall be told...*
(Good side) (Bad side)
What...did you just do?! You let him get to you, you're never supposed to let people drop your defenses, never supposed to talk! Do you want to be hurt again, do you want to suffer?!
But you can't hide from the past all the time, listen to what Sparrow said, he was right, he told the truth! He-
Oh don't believe that rubbish he told you! he was trying to lecture you, to tell you what to do! He wants you to trust him so he can make you suffer! Why else would he help you and save you?
Because he actually does care, doesn't he! Because he wants to help, to treat you as an equal, because he wants to be a friend!
....Just like that pirate lad had done? Just like how he told you he loved you, and cared for you, and wanted to help you, and then he betrayed you and tricked you, and tried to have you murdered? Just like your father said when he hugged you? Just like your family did, your friends did, your own crew did? Don't be stupid...don't give in....
*Pondering, a small tear ran down her cheek. She hated thinking of the past....she hated everything about it....maybe she was right, maybe she shouldn't give in, maybe she shouldn't let the past swallow her up and maybe she shouldn't care about this Sparrow...*
But his eyes...his eyes Tobbs....you see whats in there, you see that he truly cares...why can't you accept it? Why can't you believe that there's some good in the world?
"Because I can', alright? I can'...."
*Shaking her head, she resolved twould be best to regard the Captain as just that, her chauffeur to Tortuga, and the crew as the employed and such. She couldn't let him let her give in, she had hid the past so many times before, she could do it again.*
*Standing up shakily, she looked at her wet clothes...a bit ripped and soaking wet...so she needed something to wear or she'd get sick. Ah well, she might as well help herself to something. Making her way to a small dresser, she opened the compartments up and rumaged through them, careful not to mess anything up. *
*She chose a baggy big white blouse that, while looking just fine, hadn't been used in a bit (was on the bottom and a bit dusty which she managed to clean off), small trouser like bottoms of a blackish tint, and a blue sash she'd managed to keep dry when she first arrived on the ship by leaving it behind. Examining herself, she buttoned the shirt up just enough and decided she'd be fine for the present.*
*Tying her hair back in a low pony, Tobbs muttered sleepily and lay down, curling up into a ball once again. She hugged the baggy shirt comfortably and checked her shoulder wound to make sure twas alright before faling off into a light yet restless sleep...*

Apollo rolled his eyes then looked at Hermes. "And what have you discovered little brother?"
He was fond of his playfully wild sibling. Of all of them, even his twin sister, hermes was his favorite for his downright cleverness. "be careful next time." And suddenly he was serious. "I won't be leaving the ship anytime soon. For anything." He added, meaning Linea. He wasn't sure just what to think of her yet. He did have affection for her, but Apollo was thoughtful, pratical.
"Are you coming back in the morning or tonight?"

:Jack yawned as the sun set. Carefully he reveiwed the days events in his mind. Roux and this new...Orestes. something was a bit......diffrent about Orestes. and Roux as well...now that this cousin of his had showed up. Just what exactly was he doing in the middle of the sea like that anyway?
And this Hawk lad....well...he seemed normal enough. His largest problem right now seemed to be Tobbs and her outright stubborn nature. He sighed and looked up atteh stars overhead. ......it had been a trying day.

< Diana woke just after the sky was growing dark and she looked around her room. the rocking of a a ship never ceased to make her comfortable and she smiled at the sound of the water aganist the hual of the Black Pearl >
<But she liked th night and she stood up, yawned and walked out on deck, helping with a few odds and ends. Inquiring around to see if the crew needed help with anything. A few people looked tired and she offered to finish whatever jobs they were doing. Most of them just smiled and nodded gratefully >
<When Jack came back on deck she smiled over at him and she could tell he seemd a bit lost in his own thoughts for the time being. After she finished whatever it was she'd been doing, she walked over to the starboard side and leaned over, looking at th water, a smile on her face. Life had certainly gotten better in the past day. >

(ok whatever...lol)
* Maria stood at the bow runing her hands across the rail. Taking in the fine craftsmenship of the ship. She took a deep breath then looked over her shoulders towards the crew. She had been confused this whole week and the stress had hit her hard too. *

:: Damien took a deep breath of the salty air as he stepped onto the deck. Living in Tortuga for so many years had gotten him slightly more adjusted to the smells and sounds of the sea, but he still felt much more comfortable on dry, solid land. At least there he knew he he could feed whenever he needed, and could always find shelter quickly if he'd stayed out too long. Here, on the open sea, he would have to be especially careful....::
::And then there was Selina. She had some kind of power over him, and it made him extremely nervous. They hadn't even set sail yet and he was already having trouble controlling his hunger! He didn't want to think about what the rest of the voyage would be like::
"I've lived in Tortuga for ten years," ::he said in answer to Selina's question:: "But I can't say I've ever seen you either...." //Probably better I didn't, or you might not be here today// ::he thought::
::He looked over at her and smiled. The moon was rising higher in the night sky, reflecting in his purple eyes, causing them to glint eerily::

Gypsy sauntered onto the ship, looking around nervously. She still couldn't shake the feeling that she'd since she was twelve years old, whenever she did something her former captors wouldn't have approved of.Shaking her head, she approached Barbossa, nodding to him in greeting."I'm here,Barbossa,"she said."So...Where are we off to?And when do we leave?"The sooner she was away from Tortuga, the better...it would take her father from the memories of the life she'd led up to this point.
At that moment, she noticed the two other crew members on deck. She had seen Selina before in the bar,and caught her name, but the other was unfamiliar.Excusing herself from Barbossa, she slunk over to where they were, watching the elegant young man,her expression almost perplexed,as if she wasn't sure what exactly to think of him.
Emma and Rick left Jack's room at his command, going to stand on deck. The stars were bright overhead, and it made Emma almost feel uncomfortable. She wasn't quite ready to accept everything back just as it had been before...she still loved him, yes, but for now,a bit of breathing room was needed.Heading over to Evy,she smiled faintly."Well...our little crew certainly 'as grown,eh?'O's yer new friend?"

Rose yawned, stretched, and got to her feet, leaving her cabin to take a walk on the deck. She noticed the captain on deck, looking preoccupied. Biting her lip, she approached him, a bit awkwardly.
"Um...Cap'n? 'm sorry, you were just lookin'...thoughtful. Anythin'...important on your mind?" she asked tentatively.
"Ah, the world of the gods continues as usual." Hermes grinned, a bright twinkle in his eye. "If you don't mind, I believe I'll be getting back now...join me if you will." With that, Hermes faded away again...returning in his own cabin.
However, the god had made one grave oversight...he'd forgotten to shut his door.
Hawk, passing by the cabins below, was struck with a sense of curiosity about the new young man...Orestes. He peeked into his room upon passing it...only to find it empty. Hawk frowned; he could've sworn he'd seen Orestes there...
Then he stared, as the figure of Orestes slowly faded in. Except it wasn't Orestes...he shone golden, and his eyes were like liquid light. Hawk couldn't control the gasp that escaped him.
In a second, Orestes was there, his hand over Hawk's mouth. "Quiet!" he whispered softly, concernedly. "Do you want everyone to hear?" Wincing, he gave Hawk back his memory of how he came onto the ship...and the young man's eyes widened.
"Yes, that was I," Orestes said grudgingly, slowly letting go. "I had to get you aboard the Pearl...it was essential...I mean you no harm.
Hawk stared at him in awe, fear, and shock. "Who...what...are you?" he demanded, shaking.
"Hermes," Hermes replied quietly. "The god Hermes."
Hawk was obviously stunned. "Come on," Hermes sighed, gesturing to his cabin. "I'll explain everything..."

Selina's eyes were focused on Damien's. The light reflecting off of his purple eyes was eerie, but she could not pry her gaze from them. Her eyes finally broke their hold on him when she noticed another woman boarding the ship. "Gypsy?" Selina said softly to herself. She had caught the woman's name about Tortuga once or twice. Her eyes looked the woman over and she lifted a brow. "Your Gypsy, right?" Selina asked. "I'm Selina." She replied stretching out her hand to the woman and shaking it.
Her eyes looked her over and she smiled. "Good to see you here." Selina had heard of Gypsy and thought she was a respectable pirate. Actually, she had been wanting to see this woman here out of anyone really. She seemed like she had enough sand in her to stand strong in a fight.

Evelyn had been looking Eric over curiously, trying to comfort him with her words and the squeeze of her hand, but a voice brought her away from Eric. Evelyn turned her head, to see Emma standing close by. Eve looked her over. "Emma." Eve stated. "Friend? Oh, ye mean him? Who said he was a friend?" Eve teased Eric a bit, trying to ease the situation. Eve nudged him lightly. "Emma, this is Eric. A friend o' Will's. Eric, this is Emma." Evelyn stated introducing the two. "Eric was jus' givin' me a bit of company, eh mate?" Eve said with a smirk and lifting a brow.
She knew he probably would not like for Emma to know that he was a bit distraught, so she tried to make light of the situation and appear as if they had only been having a light chat.

::Barbossa surpressed a grin as he saw Gypsy approaching. Despite her youth, he could tell she would be a welcome addition to his crew. Whatever had happened to her had made her ruthless, hungry for revenge::
"Yo ho, a pirate's life fer me...," ::he muttered under his breath. When she stepped onto the deck of the Blood's Call, he walked over to greet her::
"Gypsy, lass, glad ta see ye. The only other two who've shown up yet be o'er there." ::He motioned to Selina and Damien, who were leaning on the railing admiring the night sky. Barbossa suddenly wondered at this. They'd come back on deck far too soon for Selina to have worked her "magic," as he called it. So what had happened? Had Damien refused her? Or had she simply lost the will to seduce him down in the barracks?::
//Yer goin' soft on me, Black Widow// ::he thought with a wry grin. He looked back at Gyspy::
"We set sail tonight, provided the rest o' me crew show up on time. Why don' ye get one o' them ta give ye a tour while we wait?"
::He watched her leave, then turned back to the docks. Other than a few stray cats roaming the streets, there were still no signs of life. He sighed heavily, eager to get going::
:: Damien looked up as he felt someone approaching. He avoided Selina's gaze... the last thing he wanted was to encourage the growing feelings he sensed in her. Instead he looked past her to the young woman with jet black hair and tan skin. He nodded to her, then watched in amusement as Selina took to her immediately, causing the young girl to falter a bit before her apprehension vanished::

Emma smiled at Eric."'Ey,mate.Good t'meet ya,Emma Hawkins at y'service."She bowed gracefully, her waist-length,reddish-brown hair slipping over her shoulder and almost touching the ground as she bent at the waist.Straightening, she offered her hand for him to shake, flashing Evy a grin. After shaking Eric's hand, she stood on Evy's other side, leaning on the railing and glancing at Rick as he went back to the quarters."Ev,"she asked quietly,"If y'thought someone had disappeared from yer life forever,an' after three years of makin' yerself accept it,found out they were alive, what would ye do?"she asked. Then she smiled out at the starlit waves, her bluegreen eyes softening for just a moment."I s'pose I should be grateful,"she said to herself, enjoying the feeling of the salty breeze in her hair.
Rick grabbed an apple from the galley and took it to the crew's quarters, lying on his bunk and staring at the cieling.Everything felt blurry...it could be the fact that he hadn't had anything to drink for the past fourteen hours, but he was fairly certain that it was more from his reaction to finding Emma alive and well, two years after news of her supposed death had reached him.He ate his apple slowly, trying to think things over, then tossed the core out of a porthole, lay down on his bunk, and slept better than he had since the night the Hawk's Eye went down...
Gypsy shook Selina's hand delicately. The Black Widow's reputation preceded her;she was one of the most feared women in Tortuga, after all."It is a pleasure to meet you,Selina,"she said, her voice betraying no emotion at all.She wasn't quite sure how she felt, being in the same crew as her.At least she wouldn't be the only woman. That should afford her a level of protection against falling into the same position she'd been in before. This thought brought a smile to her lips,if not to her murderous, dark eyes. She looked up at Damien, trying to figure him out. After a few moments, she gave up.Generally, she saw all men as the same, beings worthy of nothing but her condescension and hatred. But there was something strage about him that she couldn't place.Shaking it off,she pulled a deck of cards from her sleeve, the one of the three she owned that wasn't rigged. No point in cheating one's crewmates, that wasn't right by the code.Besides, she was fairly confident in her ability to out-play just about anyone in or out of Tortuga."Anyone want to play cards? The rest of the crew isn't here yet,"she said,a devilish grin on her pretty face.

:Jack looked at Rose thoughtfully a moment: "No...nothing much going on up in my mind, young Rose....."
;He gave her a half smile: "Just thinkin' it's been a busy day." He laughed a little bit and looked at her: "Normally people don't go askin' if others are alright without wantin to be asked the same question in return....." As always, Jack's speech made little sense until you ran it over in your head a couple times.
"So...anything on your mind then?"

Apollo shook his head and watched Hermes fade away. As much as he loved his Home , he knew he had to go back. and he had forever to chase away hours in his immortality.
With this thought in his mind he too left. riding sunlight and racing over the clouds. He never tired of being able to soar over the world carrying the sun with him. He loved the feeling of warmth it gave him. Of feeling strong and needed. The sun loved him.
His sister, Artemis, was still over the Caribbean when she granted his safe return to the Black Pearl. He landed with a small thump on the ship, dark as a shadow, and silently as one as well.
Then he loked around, and slipped below deck, ready to actually sleep the night away then be up as Dawn approached. #nosmileys
