Rose grinned at him again, a bit hesitantly. She never imagined that the great Captain Sparrow would be this easy to talk to, or that he would ever talk to her. She wasn't anyone special...yet she'd watched him, admired him avidly, and seen that he loved his crew very much. She'd respected and looked up to Jack Sparrow as the pirate she'd always wanted to be.
Rose nodded as he spoke of Orestes. "'E's Roux's cousin, though, an' Roux's always kept things close to 'is 'eart...Orestes is prolly th' same way." She nodded at his assessment of Hawk as well. "I can tell 'e's experienced, as a pirate...'e's prolly scared stiff of you an' your reputation." She grinned a bit, teasingly, and cast her glance out at sea. "Yeah...gonna be a long, odd trip..."

:Linea held him closely as his robe was around her, shielding her from the sun. Every sight that passed before her eyes was a beautiful as the next. She was in utter awe.:
Roux, this is amazing.
:The music that surrounded them was so unreal that she couldn't believe it. At first she didn't think it was real, but then she came to realize it was, and it was the most wonderful sound that had ever touched her ears. As they traveled on his chariot she felt honoured. It was an honour that she would not soon forget. As to his question, she didn't really know what to say.:
Roux, I am so happy, just being up here with you. It's just so beautiful, the sights, the sounds, everything. I feel so honoured to be able to be here with you. Thank you. As to where I would like to go? I honestly don't know. I've not travelled very far in my life so I don't know much of the world around me. I'm just happy to be here with you, so anywhere, is just as good as the next if I'm able to share it with someone as nice as you.
:Linea blushed at her words and was quite shocked that she actually said them.:

Apollo nodded and thought a moment. "There's much to see then."
He smiled at her and gave the reigns a gentle tug. The horses made a steep climb upwards, pulling past clouds. Apollo had them quite frankly, over the sea. Over the Caribbean. islands and intricate swirls of water ranging in hue swam below them.
He seemed to think things over again. Where to go? A place She'd never seen before. A new place. Well. he could take her to his Home. Greece.
"Come with me." He said simply and lifted her from the chariot, after what could have been hours, but it wasn't so. time did not apply to gods or those they traveled with. Not by normal standards anyway.
Instead he merely held her close and dropped from th sky. the sea racing up to them, then he pulld up just enough, a beam of light a jet of golden, racing over the sea. Merely a handspan away from the water skimming it.
He laughed at her, and let go. she merely floated along with him, pulling her in his wake, laughing the whole way. The music simply following them. He could go wherever the light touched. It would be, wel sunset he figured in Greece. He could take her there.
and so he did. He touched the sea with his hands as he passed, seemingly amused by it. Dolphins leaping under them. Apollo chased them, raced them, laughed with them, and even went so far as to lower himself and Linea enough to be racing waves side by side with them. reached out he pet a few of them. The dolphins gave what could have been confused or playful squeaks and dived underwater.
Apollo grinned at Linea, then took her hand, and moved much faster, leaving a golden trail of sunlight behind them, nothing more.
He hoped Hermes was alright. He found room in his joyful place to worry a moment but it didn't last long. It'd been decades since he'd played like this. Hermes had only now taken on a mortal form, he told himself. He could do without a babysitter for a while.
Apollo swerved up sharply, suddenly careening past hills, and valleys, then past marble temples, statues, rolling landscapes. Green fields. Greece. His home.

:Linea was having more fun than ever as they travelled the sky. Being able to touch the dolphins as they rode the waves beside her was something she could only have dreamed of. Such sights that she saw were only the ones from her dreams. Linea smiled more than she had ever done so before. She held his hand tighter as they made their way to their destination.:
This is absolutely marvellous....
:She was awed by the sight of Greece. It was a place she had only dreamed of, but now, it was a reality. She was really there.:
I don't know what to say? I really don't...
:Linea was speechless as to what say are her eyes were rivited on the sight of his home.:

Apollo just smiled and landed very gently in a field. He looked around wondering if anyone had noted his arrival. Quite possibly not. it's not as if anyone were expecting him to return.
"It is beautiful. " He agreed and looked at Linea. then at the sky. it was sunset here. "but we can not linger to long. I can travel swiftly only when the sun is near."
All the same he smiled and lifted her into the air with him, heading of all places, Olympus. Home of the gods. He could feel them near. then he could see them as they approched. beautiful creatures. All beautiful. All fair and handsome, beautiful and lovely, perfect beings of immortality. This was his home.
Robed in white, golds, silvers and rich colors of the rainbows, all glowing softly. All with eyes that glowed gently, all gods. Various shapes and sizes, milling around.
Someone called a greeting to Apollo, which he answered with a nod. Then some curious looks. No doubt they wondered what a mortal was doing with Apollo. He carefully removed his golden cloak and draped it over Linea's shoulders as if to say clearly: "She is mine. Don't touch her or cause her harm."
His eyes flashed a brillant gold again and he smiled at her: "forgive my family it's been countless years sense a mortal has come to see our home."

Yes, I did notice it was sunset. It's alright, don't worry. I've seen more than I've ever seen in a lifetime.
:She was still awed. When they arrived at Olympus, she was a wee bit frightened at the gods she encountered and moved closer to Roux. She wasn't afraid of Roux, but his brethren scared her a little. She knew they were sometimes scary.:
It's alright, I'm not used to seeing gods either, so I guess we're even. It's not like every day I get to see a god.
:She smiled up at him and fingered the robe he had draped around her.:

Even as he watched Tobbs curiously, Hermes's attention was with his brother and Linea as they flew into Greece. His mortal self smiled politely at Tobbs while the other half of his attention was snickering. Apollo was in for so much teasing when he got back...
Hermes followed them into Olympus with some amount of shock. Apollo must really be enamoured of this girl...few mortals ever, ever, ever saw Olympus...Hermes shook his head and kept following the couple.
On the way, he ran into Eros. Ah, Eros, the mischievous young god...younger than even Hermes or Dionysus, he was watching Apollo and Linea with a slightly predatory glance. Hermes caught it and grinned hugely. "I'm not sure they need your help, the way they are already," he chuckled. As Eros's face fell, Hermes added, "But...keep an eye on them for me?" He winked, and Eros grinned again, promptly turning invisible and flying off after Apollo and Linea.
Hermes chuckled. Overeager and a hopeless romantic, that lad was. Then again, seeing who his mother was, how else could he be? The young god shook his head and disappeared from Olympus again, turning his full attention once more towards Tobbs. Eros would be more than happy to take Apollo and Linea into his own hands...

Apollo felt Hermes approach. Felt what had happened and nearly laughed from it. Eros and Hermes together, was not a good combination. But it more then a little distrubed him.
Eros. His arrows could send a couple down a road they could not cme back from and was that something Linea wanted? To love a god? He'd have to secure her immortality.
He could feel Eros nearby, hovering, waiting. Apollo frowned slightly, but did nothing. In truth he could not say he was aganist the idea. But then again it was somethng Linea would decide.
His eyes grew bright and he uncovered Eros in the air, giving him a warning glance. Then he looked at Linea.
"My family will not hurt you. Though they may find you more then a bit of a curiosity." He smiled a bit. "come on. i'll take you around a little."
and with that he lead her calmly away from the main area of his home, into a more secluded area. less gods, less of a fuss.

(alright. heads up. i'm taking over as love god. Eros. scary huh? yes indeed) <Tobbsie Edit: Love god? um..MEEP! *ish afriad, ish very afriad*>
:Eros, the young god of love smiled as Hermes left, his eyes practically glittering with a newfound project. Apollo and this new mortal lady......such fun...:
:He fitted a arrow to his bow when Apollo's eyes snapped towards him and he smiled sheepishly.... Well he could get them again later. Instead he hovered once over the mortal, brushing past her a bit then sailing off as Apollo moved her away. This would be fun indeed....:

*Lost in thought, Tobbs turned startled when she heard Orestes's voice. She immediately grew suspicion, but it faded when she saw his grin and the calmness in his eyes. Something about this one she liked...he gave off a vibe she trusted somewhat.*
*Her instincts kicked in and she cursed herself for thinking she could trust him at all, in any way, shape, or form. She gave an irritated sigh and turned ehr head back to the sea.*
"Fine."
*In a matter of seconds she felt guilty. She could sense his presence behind her still, and she muttered beneath her breath, wondering why he was still there.*
"If yer juss gpnna stand ther-"
*She paused when she saw his polite grin. But her words did not stop because of that....Tobbs searched people's eyes for what they felt, what they thought, what they wanted...it was like a gift....and as she searched the eyes of the one before her, she could tell he wasn't quite...there really. She rose a brow and then furrowed them, wondering what exactly was going on in his mind....he seemed distant, not entirely paying attention, and she could see, like a small glimmer in the ocean, a snickering appearance in his eyes.*
*She placed her hand on her hip and gazed at him. It was odd....all of a sudden, he looked as he once had, his attention returned to her, and his eyes washed over with the same polite yet fun vibe she'd first seen. Acting as if she saw nothing and really didn't care, Tobbs smiled and brushed back a stray hair from her face.*
"Well now, I've got it ill with most 'o the crew fer tryin' to kill their captain, so I shant be tryin' to stir up trouble with one who's been as polite as ye."
*her smile grew a bit, then faded as she continued on, facing Orestes yet her eyes were looking out at the sea.*
"Ta tell ya the turth....I 'aven't 'ad such a great trip, and I feel I shant be 'elpin' make it better at all...but tis kind of you to ask."
*Her smile faded entirely, and her ever changing blue eyes become a cloudy blue mist of a sadder expression.*
"The past is always 'aunting, and while I do well in running from it most times, it catches up to me from time to time. It's not easy fighting one ya can't rid of by a sword, or a bow, or a spear, or a weapon...defeating it does not come unless ya face it when ya don't wanna..."
*She shook her head and made the sorrow in her eyes fade, and a deep friendly blue took over, her smile returning as she made the images and thoughts of the past be hidden.*
"But I'm juss ramblin....what was yer name?"

"Poker, a classic card game, and undoubtedly one of my favorites," :: Damien said thoughtfully, grinning. He hadn't lost a poker game in ten years, and had collected quite a pretty penny from local drunks and merchant sailors. He'd always assumed his winning streak was just good luck, but now he knew it was more than that. He had some kind of control over the cards, something he couldnt quite explain. He had the same power over humans as well, able to bend them to his will if he so desired. But, he also knew the dangerous effects of such a power, and onlyused it when he absolutely had to::
::For now, he turned his focus to the cards being dealt out by Gypsy. Suddenly, he felt something brush against his leg. Struggling to fight back the inhuman growl rising in his throat, he merely smiled at Selina, then went back to the cards in his hand. Two Aces, Two Queens, and a Six. He betrayed no emotion at the sight of his lucky hand, and placed the six down on the table::

:Suddenly, Linea felt something around them. She couldn't quite place it, but she saw him look at the sky and wondered.:
:As they walked, she still had his hand in hers from when they arrived. He had not taken his hand out of her grasp and she was happy. It was nice. She liked being with him. It just seemed, natural, even as unnatural as it was.:
Gods and mortals, like oil and water. They don't usually mix, but on a rarity, maybe they do.
More than a bit of a curiosity? I don't think I like the sounds of that...
:Linea was caught up on her own thoughts as they walked about. She was wondering what presence she had felt and Roux had seen. Chuckling inward to herself at her folly.:
It has to be another god, if Roux can see it and I cannot. Hmm I wonder who it might be? Hermes probably, up to no good no doubt. Oh well.
Roux, what are you looking at when we had just arrived. There was nothing in the sky that I could see, unless you could see something or someone I could not?

Orestes - back to being fully mortal - watched the woman before him with more than a little interest. This one would prove to be quite...a challenge, perhaps? Hermes viewed mortals as pawns to play his plots out with...but with Tobbs, he found himself thinking something altogether different. A friend, perhaps...shocking to the god who played games and laughed at life, but that was what he felt.
He gave her a charming grin as she asked his name. "Orestes Kyrillos, my lady," he said, bowing. "Yours? And if you don't mind my prying...what is this about you almost killing the captain?" At the back of his mind, he shoved the aura of peacefulness out a bit more...perhaps if Tobbs was less on edge, she would be more inclined to speak to him...

Emma smirked."Yer jus' scared I'll beat y'again,Evelyn!"she called after her friend teasingly. She sat down with her back resting against the railing on the side of the ship, her head tilted up.The stars were a sailor's best friend, and they shone so brightly tonight. They reminded Emma of when she was barely more than a child, and Rick had taught her how she could determine her position on the globe with a simple skyward glance.Even before that, she had loved looking at the stars when her father took her on holidays to the country-you couldn't see them in London most nights, not even out by the Thames, away from the buildings.Emma fiddled thoughtfully with the tattered hem of her pants, more like knee-length shorts now than anything. She was exhausted...but she didn't want to go below, not right now. With all the confusion in her mind, she only wanted the taste of the salt air and the soft spray on her skin and the faded starlight shining down on her.Slowly, she drifted off to sleep right there on the deck of the Pearl, perfectly at home.
Gypsy could tell simply by the way these people held themselves that they were good players. But she was better. She had to be.Ever since she was twelve years old, losing a card game had meant going without food for three days, and being beaten nightly until she could win the money back.In such circumstances, one learns to survive,or dies trying. She looked at the cards in her hand-three kings,a queen, and an ace.Her eyes glinted slightly, but there was no other sign of emotion from her as she put a card down and drew another."Are we betting anything?"she asked,in a completely neutral tone.

When morning broke Eve needn't open her lids, they had been open for the past couple hours. She took a deep breath, yawned and sat upon the edge of her bed, placing her head in her hands. She ran a hand through her chocolate tendrils, as they fell barely past her shoulders. It seemed she was araid to sleep, scared of the sort of nightmares that might have crawled back into her head.
She dressed, putting on her black trousers, sash, pistol, sword, and boots on. Her earrings she clapsed on, the bangles she possesed were roughly forced around her hand and onto her wrist, and she moved to retrieve her mother's necklace. Taking it she clasped that on as well and sighed, looking it over, then tucking it under her shirt.
As Eve left her cabin her eyes glanced down on the opposite end of the hall to the door where Eric was staying. Thinking of him, she uconciously quickly combed her hair, trying to untagle and smooth the curls. She dusted herself off when she paused and caught this act. Eve shook her head and smiled, what was she doing? There was no need to impress anyone...
With that she headed towards the galley, going to seek something fresh, perhaps and apple or two, maybe even a few slices of bread and dried, salted meat.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Selina looked her cards over, a ten, an eight, and three jacks. Looking up she met Damien's eyes for a moment and then fled from their gaze. "How about a few silver pieces?" Selina asked Gypsy lifting a curved brow. "I have a few extra pieces." She said with a smirk as she tossed three coins upon the table. "Now, if you are both too scared to take on the challenge I completely understand." She said leaning back as much as she could without falling. Selina noted Barbossa pacing around the decks. He was obviously eager to leave, as was she.
Again her eyes strayed and found Damien's face. He was handsome, sharp features and dark hair. Although that eerie air still clung to him. She gave him a smirk and then looked back at her cards, believing this would see her through to victory.
