Roux waited, watched her reaction. He understood the want to see if he was real. No doubt she might be thinking her mind had taken leave of her head. It was understandable.
He didn't move but smiled at her. "Thank you for not screaming or some such reaction."
His eyes flashed gold. She was the first mortal he'd met who hadn't screamed or done something similar to near hysterical babbling. He smiled that much more. "you're a interesting person, Linea."

Fishy smiled down at Diana as she got into her bed. He gave her hand one last squeeze, and left the room, shutting the door quietly.
He nearly skipped up to the deck, still beaming, and looking for Jack. Joe gave him the oddest look as he passed him, that would've sucked the life out of Fishy on most days, but not today.

:Linea smiled at him, her mind still processing what had just gone on.:
You asked me not to overreact, so I didn't. I am able to hide my feelings when I wish, but I wasn't able to a moment ago as I was thrown off guard.
:She laughed when he called her an 'interesting person':
I am not that interesting. I'm just me, whatever that is. I couldn't care less if you were a man, god, or a dancing bear, my feelings for you would be the same.
:Linea blushed deeply and tried to cover herself up.:
I mean, you're a good friend to me and all. First person I've met on this ship other than the Captain.
:She continued to ramble a few words and stopped, knowing she was making less and less sense with each word. With some quick thinking, she had to think of something to change the subject.:
So...what's it like wearing a toga in a windstorm?
Yeah well that's smart! :she thought wanting to smack herself.: I'm sure I could have thought of something a little better than that, but, it's the best I have. I think it's time I crawled into a hole now.

As Orestes, Hermes had walked onto the deck; however, once he saw his brother and a girl - he drew knowledge of her name out...Linea, it was - talking, well, he just had to eavesdrop. So he went back downstairs, into his cabin, and closed his eyes, shifting into his immortal form. Once a god again, it was a simple matter for Hermes to become invisible to the world and slip back on deck to listen to Roux and Linea.
He watched in amusion as Roux revealed himself to be Apollo...and didn't miss the expression on Linea's face. If an invisible god could grin, Hermes would be doing it.
He drifted close enough to his brother to whisper, "Very smooth, big brother...you've made another conquest, charmer. Although I'd appreciate it if you didn't blow my own cover quite yet..."

Roux blinked once as if not sure he'd just heard what she asked correctly. Then he laughed.
"Well. normally the weather does not effect gods. Nor anything in our general vicinity. Unless we want it too. but togas in windstorms. We generally chose to let that not effect us."
She talked a bit, nervously, but he only smiled at her.
He surpressed his laughter again, trying not to laugh loud enough for the entire ship to hear him. His eyes flashed brightly golden and he smirked a little. "of all things I have been asked that is the question I least expected."
and then without warning Hermes were there.
"Very smooth, big brother...you've made another conquest, charmer. Although I'd appreciate it if you didn't blow my own cover quite yet..."
He turned to Hermes's voice a smirk on his face and he thought back, entering his brother's mind without so much as a knock:
"You would have blown it well enough on your own by driving the whole crew mad."
He smiled a bit. "and if I wanted to, I could make her forget. You know that well enough."#nosmileys

"I thought that was what every pirate did!" Hermes replied innocently. "This crew seems mad enough, I should fit right in." His grin grew sly. "I don't believe it would matter if she forgot or not...she'd love you anyway..." He laughed; had Apollo had a worse temper, Hermes would have run, but he wanted to hear his brother's reaction to his younger-sibling provocations.

Apollo's eyes flamed gold once and he turned to his brother with a laugh, but spoke to him with his mind.
"you are just trying to make me angry aren't you?" But he considered what his brother had said then shrugged. "As might any girl like you who saw you. Though she must be a girl of strange ideals and the patience of a mountain to put up with you."
Apollo's eyes fixed on his invisible brother. "and we are friends now brother of mine. nothing more. yet."

I'm glad you find it so funny. Was the best thing I could think of at the moment.
:Her blush at what she had said only moments ago, faded slightly, though the memory of her words remained. In her mind, she had no business messing with gods, for they meddled even when they weren't wanted. This is what she was told when she was younger, and it stuck in her head, but there was something else. She was a girl, and she had fallen for a man, then that man, turned out to be a god.
What irony. Now what am I going to do? I can't say anything, however much I would want to. I just...can't.
I have just one question...Why are you..a god, here on this ship in disguise? Well, not really a disguise. But why are you here, when you could be anywhere else in the world, doing anything else?
:She knew her question was a little forward and she looked at the ground, not wanting to see his expression as she asked it.:
If you don't wish to answer, you don't have to you know.

*Tobbs muttered softly and fluttered her eyes open. She slowly closed them and tried to push away the dream that had just haunted her mind. She had been back in Port Royale, her age only in her mid teens, with a man of her dreams by her side. She felt she loved the man, and she'd sailed with him for 3 years, always in his trust....*
*That day had shattered her hopes and her whole view on men...she'd thought they were tricky before, but from then on, she hated their guts and found them to be no more than wretches and dogs....*
*Trying not to think about it, she rolled over. Half way into the roll, her shoulder burned with pain and she sat up quickly, her eyes suddenly realizing this was an unfamiliar place. She clutched her shoulder and looked about*
*She felt the sea rocking her and the feel of sheets below and over her. She was lying down on a comfy bed, and around her seemed a large room, no doubt the Captain's Quarters. But why was she here? How did she get here?*
*Her head ached. She put her free hand to it and suddenly began remembering. There was the group...then that man...the blacksmiths...then the man again....then Snakes...and then he was back...and she was in....it was Sparrow! That Jack Sparrow! He'd brought her from the streets! No doubtedly he brought her to his ship.*
*She tried standing weakly and managed to keep steady by leaning against a small table. She huffed and felt the anger and rage build up in her again. She, with the most ferocious and enraged yell anyone could have heard yet, built up a yell from the strength she did not have, and the name that echoed on the sails and through the ship happened to be:*
"JACK SPARROW!!!!!"

"And I pray that some such girl may cross my path," Hermes said with mock piousness. "And no, not angry...perhaps annoyed. Though I've find I don't have to try so hard for that," he added cheerfully.
A "smirk" passed over Hermes's invisible face. "I'm not sure if you believe that, but if you do, try looking at her a bit more closely."
And with a laugh that faded into the sound of waves hitting the side of the ship, Hermes was gone again, and somehow walking back up onto the deck, Orestes once again. He caught Roux's eye and winked, his face full of laughter.
Hawk leaned against the side of the Pearl, his expression distant. He was wondering why he'd been lured onto the Pearl...and why all these people had come aboard...and why this new man, Orestes, looked so familiar. Too many whys, Hawk thought wryly; he'd been told by the pirates he'd grown up with that he was altogether too pensive for a pirate.
He didn't care. It was good to have something that set him apart, especially if it was something as useful as an active mind...and if he was mocked for it, all the better. It meant he would be underestimated.
Speculations, thoughts, and musings whirred through Hawk's mind, though his countenance was blank, as he stared out into the sea with moody chocolate-coloured eyes.

Roux simply laughed.
"I for one was merely just trying to find a place of peace."
"but Fate it seems has other ideas. And while I'm not sure what is to happen in the future. I know I will have a part to play. As will you. As will we all."
then Hermes voice again: "I'm not sure if you believe that, but if you do, try looking at her a bit more closely." While his brother was wild he was often right. This annoyed Apollo a bit and his eyes flashed golden. Sometimes his brother was to smart for his own good.
Apollo gave her a curious look. Strange. mortals normally asked for a rewards. for proof. something. She asked for nothing. instead he projected more happiness into her. Light. Joy.
Roux smiled at her and then asked plainly: "you ask nothing of me. Why?"#nosmileys

"JACK SPARROW!"
:for a split second Jack seriously considered hitting the deck and hiding till the battle was over. Then he realized Tobbs must have woken up.
:He glanced over his shoulder and sure enough, there was Tobbs. He winced inwardly. He had been hoping he'd only have to deal with angry lasses when they reached Tortuga. Not on the way there. He left teh wheel, and sauntere over to her:
"you called then, luv?" He asked and glanced her over. "Ye must be feelin' better. Less blood gone then I would have thought."
:He smiled at her: "How are ye feelin?"

:She smiled at him:
Ahh peace, the one thing I have been seeking as well. What do you mean about Fate having other ideas?
:As to his other question, she didn't have to think, but she remained silent. Linea was trying to think of the best way to word what she felt, what she wanted.:
Roux, I have asked you for nothing, for there is nothing that you could give to me. Now that I know who you truly are, I don't think there is anything I could ask of you now.
:Her heart hurt a little bit, but she knew there could be nothing between gods and mortals. It was just...unnatural so she said nothing. She smiled thinly.:
I am just glad that even though I know who you are, we can still be friends. That is my hope.

Eve sighed and turned her eyes towards Eric as he approached. "Yes, quite the load o' newcomer's." She sighed deeply. Her eyes passing to unfamiliar faces up on the deck. "Plenty of new people to annoy." She smirked manning the helm still. As he asked if she could help she sighed. "Would ye?" Evelyn asked letting go of the helm and taking a seat on a crate near him so she was facing him as he looked out at sea.
Evelyn looked her brittle, cracked, and dirty nails over and she bit them a bit. A habit she had had for so long. "I don' even know half of 'em...I 'ope Jack's keepin' track...if ye ask me some o' these people are a bit rude...what with not even stoppin' by ta introduce themselves..." Eve said in a low sort of growl. She didn't like all these newcomers on board. She felt violated in some way. This was her bloody ship!
She sighed. "But what can ye do? 'M only a crewmate after all. 'S long as they have some sand in a fight, I guess I'll be alright..." She began shifting her eyes from her nails up at Eric. "AND they better do their bloody share..." Evelyn huffed pointing a finger at him and then crossing her arms. It seemed everyone else was lazying around. Although Evelyn couldn't blame them. She would but she always had the feeling she needed to be doing something, she felt useless if she wasn't swabbing decks, cooking, or repairing something. Not doing her part for too long makes her feel a bit...helpless.

Roux caught her feelings almost at once. He frowned deeply, as if weighing out what he might say. gods and mortals indeed.
"Then a friend I will be until you can ask what it is you want." he took her hand and kissed it once. The touch being like a spot of sunlight on her hand. Then he sighed.
"you have but to ask and I'll give it to you." he could just feel Hermes practically squirming with supressed mirth now, but he ignored it. The sun had set, touching the ocean's horizon line. Roux walked before deck, then disapeared.
He needed to think. to consider things.
