A year has passed since the events concerning the gods of Greece. Since then Jack and the crew’s lives had been quite uneventful, well as uneventful as a pirate life can get that is. With a few new crew members, Jack has sailed his crew to hell and back, pillaging, plundering, and gaining quite the notorious reputation. However, one not so scheduled trip to England, and to Evelyn’s home town, has brought about a new treasure to seek, a new endeavor, and possibly the next great adventure for Jack Sparrow and those aboard the Black Pearl.
A map has been found, once believed to be lost to the infernos of a previous pirate raid. A map revealing the location of a treasure TOO good to pass up, despite the warnings of a curse within it, an entire city of gold is a bit hard to pass up. With the map both in Evelyn’s trusted memory, and in Jack’s hand his crew are ready to go to hell, quite literally, and back for a piece of this city of gold.
Meanwhile, Barbossa hasn’t missed a beat, and although he was beaten to the ultimate relic last time, this time it is HE who has the upper hand. Although Jack and crew know about the treasure, they remain oblivious to the true power resting there, the Dagger of Curunin, an ancient dagger that posses the power to send those it kills to the Underworld, a hellish purgatory until the ending of the world. Barbossa’s thirst for vengeance is all but insatiable, and it is for THIS reason Bossa also makes for Central America, hoping through simply wandering about he too can find this city of Gold and the dagger which would finally give Jack Sparrow his due.
When Barbossa finds Jack Sparrow also in the jungles however and learns of Evelyn’s knowledge as to the location of the gold he concocts an evil plan that would not only give him the way to the City of Gold, but also an edge in the never ending battle between Barbossa’s crew and Jack’s. It’s a scramble and tangle to riches and relics…with not only eachother to compete with, but also the jungles themselves who also have threats within them that neither crew has even begun to prepare for…
Rules:
1. no spamming 2. ALWAYS STAY IN CHARACTER 3. NO cursing!!!! 4. Common curtesy is a must 5. NO GODMODING (unless otherwise stated) 6. have fun maties -Plot credited to Evy and Bossa
Current Going ons... We found the city, both crews...we've all gone into shock from gold fever.....*smacks Boosa* That's for being mean. *wink* JK mate. Anyway.....we're sort of in the middle of a fight in a random house.....Eric and Evy are reunited....*inserts some romantic heart straining music* and we're off to have a good ol' fashion fight.....all aboard the Insanity Express.........

Avery was slightly relieved when Tasha came to help him. He could tell she wasn't mad at him and was sorry for acting the way she had. He only had time to flash her a small encouraging smile of his own and take her hand giving it a gentle squeeze before Michael was speaking.
Kora was dismissed without questions asked, which was a relief on Ry's part, but then Michael turned to him. He offered to let him stay behind concerned for his saftey. Before he could even answer Michael and Selina were off and Tasha was speaking to him.
Having the blue-eyed woman so close made him loose all of his senses that would normally have been extremely alert. He missed Kora's disappearanc into the jungle at the mention of meeting Sparrow's crew. He smiled at her, as they stood, keeping an arm around her to keep from collapsing. "I'm stahting to regain my st'ength, movements good foh me." She nodded and they started off after Selina and Michael some how managing to stay about a hundred yards behind them.
"Look, I don't know what happened eahlieh," Ry started, "but I'm sorry. I won't ask, but I just hope that yeh not mad at me." He kept his eyes focused on the jungle in front of them, his strength starting to come back again.

Evelyn embraced Eric and closed her eyes gently as he kissed her forehead. Evelyn's stomach atutomatically went into knots as she asked him to stay. It had been something that had built a sort of invisible wall between them. It was a small stone in her boot and as he spoke Evelyn sighed heavily. "So ye'll stay then?" she asked, lifting a brow and then kissing his lips with a bright smile on her face. Her heart fluttered and she felt elated as he mentioned staying.
She curled into him again, burying herself in him, attempting to get lost in his embrace so that the danger she felt knocking at their doorstep would be locked out. His next words struck something in her and she parted from him slightly. His words brought a warm smile on her face and she brushed a few strands of his hair from his face. "More than Ashley?" Evelyn asked tentatively, afraid that he may STILL harbour feelings for her. Evelyn bit her lip as her eyes searched his face. Then quickly regretting it, she shook her head. "No...nevermind tha' mate...ye don' have ta answer." Evelyn stated as she pulled away from him slightly and sighed.
Her eyes then darted to the doorway as the sounds of footsteps drew near and she gulped. Her heart leapt into her throat and she made to sit up. "Someone's comin' Eric..." Evelyn stated softly, as she turned to look the door over carefully, but she kept close to Eric, her hand clasping securely around his arm. "Whatever happens mate...remember what I told ye..." Evelyn said, a sad look in her eyes as she scooted closer to him.
"Ye know mate...we REALLY need ta go an' get ourselves some real time alone, ye know? We're constantly gettin' interrupted before we e'er get to the good parts..." Evelyn winked at him, scooting in and whispering the last parts in his ear before turning his face to hers to kiss him a bit passionately. If these were to be her last moments with him for a while, then she'd make use of them, that was for damned sure.
Evelyn knew deep down that these gentle moments with him wouldn't last...they never did. And if they got out of this whole ordeal alive, she would make sure they got an ENTIRE night to themselves, and that for ONCE they could end their conversations without having to worry about a thing. The light streaming in from the doorway caused the golden floors to gleam brightly, but somehow Evelyn's eyes had been clouded to the riches surrounding her. All that mattered was that she made it out with Eric alive...

*Eric glanced back at Evelyn and smiled warmly. His brown eyes were soft and caring and he nodded.* Yes, I'll stay. *He laughed, returning her kiss. He felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off him. On the same note he felt like the worlds biggest idiot for not making this decision a year ago, knowing damn well it was the right one when he walked off that ship last time.
As she pulled away from him a little and asked if he loved her more then Ashley a surprised look came over his face, he hadn't expected that question. When she quickly took it back he put his hand beneath her chin and kissed her lightly.* No its alright. And yes, I love you more because I know now that it wasn't her I was meant to be with, it was you. *He answered, his smile growing. He would never forget Ashley of course, but now that he had Evelyn he didn't feel the pain he used to.
His eyes shot towards the doorway at the sound of footsteps and he instictivley held Evelyn tighter, sitting up as she did. He swallowed nervously and felt his heart thumping furiously in his chest, so loud he wondered if the whole world could hear it. As she spoke to him he furrowed his brow and his smile vanished. He placed an arm about her and kissed the side of her head.* Remember my words too, Evelyn. *He replied softly. He knew that whatever was coming it wasn't good and he had this overwhelming since of fear that he was going to loose Evelyn again, almost as if he had no doubt in his mind it would happen.
His smile quickly returned and he slipped his hand behind her neck, the other on her lower back as they kissed. He lingered there with her for as long as he could, having a strange feeling that it could be there last. He turned his face so his lips were by her ear.* Someday we'll get to the good parts. *He whispered back, kissing her cheek and then her lips again.
As light began to stream into the room Eric turned from her and gazed at the door with anxious, almost saddened eyes. He would fight if he needed to, but he knew neither of them could fight long. They were still too weak, he knew they'd loose whatever battle they were about to go into.* We're getting off this island together, Evelyn. No matter what happens I promise you we will. *He stated, rising to his feet as his eyes locked on hers.*

*Michael made sure to glance back at Selina every so often, slowly himself down just enough so she could be just at his side. He knew she didn't want to miss getting her share of the treasure, and he'd make sure she got it. But he didn't know whether he wanted gold more, or to find that Topsword and finish her off the fun and amusing way.*
*He didn't have time to stop and think about it, because Cruentus was flying towards a waterfall, and hadn't turned off towards another direction. He knew the bird was smart enough to know the two of them could not climb up an entire waterfall, so he was lost in thought over what the hawk was doing. Then, when it suddenly flew into the water, which in turn made him realize there was a way behind the waterfall, he grinned in appreciation for the bird and glanced back towards Selina once more.*
"Almost there....we'll need to find Barbossa firstly..."
*He was speaking between breaths, already soaked by the water, and finally the two made it to the caves. Stepping carefully but continuing his fast pace, he halted suddenly when the city came into view. Raising both brows in amazement and awe, he blinked a few times, absorbing it all in. Gold. Everywhere. It was a pirate's dream. Anyone's dream really. Well, most anyone.*
*He tore his stare off of the city and looked over to Selina.*
"Alright...judging by all the loud noise coming from that direction over there, I say we'd better hurry the hell up. I'm judging Jack and his rowdy crew have beaten us, and Barbossa might need ALL the help he can get."

Avery's strength slowly began to return. Tasha could feel it in the way, he started taking the weight off of her and putting it back on his own feet. They moved quickly, the soft wind cooling his injuries and causing the pain to dull slightly. It was a beautiful day, even if he couldn't enjoy it fully. Every bounce in his step sent a sharp pain through his shoulder and across his arm.
They came upon a waterfall and Avery quickly angled it so he was walking in the spray of the fall. He was soon soaked, but it cleaned his wounds slightly and rinsed the blood out of his clothes. Coming out of the caves soaked, Tasha led him into a golden city. Selina and Michael stood gaping for a second, while Avery's mind completely ignored the gold. He did not care for it much, instead he went to go find Barbossa, with Tasha barely helping him at all anymore.
They came upon the edge of the fight. Sparrow was attacking Luis and silently Avery hoped that Sparrow would win. He hated the spaniard with a passion. Two women were fighting Barbossa and the rest of the Sparrows crew seemed to be waiting. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed more of his crew coming out. His cabin mates waved cheerily as they made their way towards Sparrow's crew. It seemed that the rest of the crew had finally arrived.
After a moment Ry looked back to his Captain, he let go of Tasha and prepared to draw his sword and go to his Captain's aide, but the brown haired girl spun slightly and he caught sight of her face. He stood gaping for a moment before yelling, "Ry?" He couldn't believe it.. he had to be halucinating...

Rhys had been attacking Barbossa when she heard her named called, her nickname at that. Something that no one on the Pearl knew. The voice was familiar and it made her pause. She paused just long enough for Barbossa to lunge forwards and cut her arm again. Only turning to look saved her from the sword peircing her stomach.
She dropped the sword in surprise and pain. It was him, without further thought she was running back sword left on the ground. "Ry!" she yelled happily before jumping into his arms. Despite his weakness, he picked her up and swung her around in a circle. When he finally set her down, the two began to look each other over each inspecting the other's wounds. Despite the blood and fight going on around them, they were happy. Beyond happy.
Finally, the silence was broken as Rhys started her questioning, "How did you get here? I thought you would stay in Port Royale with the others. You're not part of Barbossa's crew, are you?" She paused for a moment then hugged him once again, "I'm sorry I left, I just couldn't..." she trailed off trying not to think of the events that had led to her running away. "But how did you get injured? And why haven't you looked after them better? I taught you better than to leave such horrible looking wounds alone!"

*Michael saw Avery come with Tasha out of the corner of his eye. He gave a greet of a nod and followed beside him and Tasha. He kept paces with Selina nonetheless, glancing towards her as if waiting for her to address what they should do. *
*He had never taken orders except by official captains, but Selina could control him in a heartbeat. He let that reserved smile slowly and unintentionally from again, catching himself and switching it with more of a solemn frown. *
*When they got to the house, he spotted Sparrow fighting Luis, and two girls fending off Barbossa. The captive was gone, and he grunted something inaudible. Peering towards a building not so far away, where he sensed some sort of movement, he stepped out of the door quickly and called to Cruentus. *
“Find the captive, find her quick.”
*And immediately the bird was off, searching for Evelyn. He guessed she’d be eying that ankle of hers. He returned to Selina’s side just as the hawk swept down. *
“He’s no doubtedly located the wench we found. Care to-“
*He paused in mid sentence as he caught sight of golden hair in the room. He clenched his fists and muttered, his fingers brushing against the small hilt of one of his knives. Deciding to save his twin knives for later, he pulled out a dagger and in a minute threw it towards Tobbs. *
“I’ll finish you off later, Mis Topsword!”
*Not caring to see where his weapon landed, he cast a glare her way and made sure to spy out Sparrow, still hungering for some revenge on his part. By the time he made it out of the house, he saw Cruentus perched on a building, the building he’d seen movement in, and he smirked. *
”Give the word Selina…and I’ll be with you…”

*Elizabeth had been worried Will would send her off to the ship to wait for their return. But she really didn't wish to. She would if he said so, but she wouldn't like the idea.*
*After that, everything went somewhat quickly when Will had said he wanted her there, but the two of them would need to watch her safety. She had smiled thankfully, and watched him go, curling up in some blankets and closing her eyes. She slept rather peacefully, something she’d not been able to do for a few nights now. *
*When she woke, she was up immediately, straightening herself out and getting ready to go off with the rest of the crew. Taking up her things, she had slung her arm through Will’s after he helped her up and kissed him a good morning. But that was all they had time for, for soon they were off to the city. *
* Holding his hand and smiling at him every time he glanced down at her stomach, she sighed happily. But it was no tea party when they got there. The gold was absolutely majestic, but already she knew they’d be in a fight. She sighed reluctantly and dashed off after the crew, making it there just as Eric and Evy left.*
*Keeping her hold on her husband’s hand, she pulled him closer to her before he ran off to help the crew, as she knew he’d do. *
“Will, before you go Barbossa hunting with that blade of yours…please….just…”
*Sighing and pressing her lips against his in a gentle kiss, she let her other hand fall into his, squeezing them both as she pulled away, then releasing them. *
“Be careful, alright?”
*Smiling lightly, she brought her hand up and rested it on his cheek before finally stepping back so he had some room to enter the house. She was contemplating following or not, for she couldn’t miss a good fight. After all, she’d teamed up with Will last time. Who says she couldn’t do it again? *

Mark pounded on Luis with all the fury he had inside him. Luis was bleeding a lot and suddenly slammed a hard right hook into Mark's face. Mark fell to the ground and rolled a few times. He was dazed. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. He saw Luis leap to his feet and charge him. He was tackled to the ground. Luis landed several well aimed punches on Mark's face. Mark could hear the sound of his nose breaking. Blood began to pour from the broken nose. He let out a cry. He built up a fury and grabbed Luis and fliped him from on top of him. He kneeded the man in the gut and quickly drew his gun. He had it drawn and cocked in a flash. He had it aimed right between the man's eyes. He looked at Luis for a moment...grinned and looked into his eyes.
"Go to Hell you BASTARD!"
Luis looked up at Mark who had a gun pointed at his face. A grin came to his face. He wondered if the man even had it in him. He remembered the man from the Pearl. He hadn't done anything then when he'd threatened him. He looked deep into Mark's eyes.
"You don't have it in you...you whores son. I knew the moment I met you you were all bark and no bite. And besides o you really think saving that whore Evelyn is worth your life? Hmmm? I'll meet you in Hell!"
Mark pulled the trigger and sat there for a moment. He looked at the lifeless body and and glared.
"She isn't a whore...she is my friend."
He said as he gave the body a kick. He holstered his gun as he stood up. He dabbed some of the blood away from his nose and was glad to note that it wasn't broken to awful bad. After all was said and done...Luis had broken his nose, cracked one of his ribs, and cut a gash over his left eye. He dabbed some of the blood that was running into his eye. He ran over to the fountain and dipped his head in. He looked around at the caos that had arisen around him. He sat on the fountain and looked around. He didn't want to interfere with someone's fight. Now it came to settleing old skirmishes. He figured the rest of the crew had far more scores to settle than he did. After all the only score he himself had to settle now was with Captain Jack Sparrow himself. He loaded his pistol and placed it back in the right holster. He drew his left pistol and fired a shot into the air. He hoped the riot would stop...if only briefly.

Post by Selina on Sept 29, 2004 22:36:49 GMT -5
Selina looked to Michael and heard the skirmish that was seemingly going on nearby. She knew Barbossa was there, judging by the familiar grunts of struggle her Captain made when he was engaged in a rough battle. He and Jack Sparrow were no doubt engaged in a fight that wouldn't end without the other dead. Her attention then drifted back to Michael as he sent his hawk Cruentes off in search of Evelyn and an evil grin grew upon her face.
She remembered that the last time she saw Evelyn, she was barely able to walk at all. In fact, Evelyn's ankle was a bit green and completely destroyed, if she remembered correctly. It would be fairly easy indeed to do away with her now. Her emerald eyes then turned to the temple in the center of the city, its steps were numerous, but it seemed more of a holy place, its entrance the most decorated of them all, including two statues at the entrance that held out golden plates as if in offereing.
"The Dagger of Curunin..." Selina said softly, remembering the legend and the sacrifice needed to retrieve the item. Her eyes turned to the house where Bossa fought and then looked back to Evelyn. Evelyn would be the PERFECT victim...she was in distress mentally no doubt, injured, and to Selina, the most pleasureable person to kill off...
Her lips curled into an evil grin and she looked up at Michael, giving him a wink and then drawing her sword. "We need Evelyn Michael..." she began slowly as she placed a hand upon his arm. "Keep her alive...at least for now...then there..." she nodded off to the temple. "She'll be our sacrifice and our KEY to one of the most powerful weapons in the world." Selina said with an evil smirk.
"Who knew such a wretched thing could produce SOMETHING of use?" She said to him, giving an evil sort of cackle before looking back to the home where Cruentus remained perched. "I think we have a woman to fetch Michael...shouldn't be too hard." Selina said as she then hurried off to the home, not waiting for Michael to join her...not knowing that Evelyn was not in the least bit alone in the building.......

(Jack said to bring in some spunk while the dagger ish fought over....blaming this on him permitting me...*ebil cackle* BE WARY! I HAVE POWER! BWUAHAHAHA*cough*HA*coughhaha...*goes to get some water)
*Tobbs glared back at Michael, suddenly noting his swift movement towards his belt. She eyed him carefully, but couldn't expect the dagger being thrown or the departure he made so quickly. She blinked and watched the weapon slowly progress its way toward her....*
*And suddenly, it was hit off balance by some weird plate looking weapon thing. Tobbs blinked again, wondering if the sun's ray had thrown the weapon away. But no, a circular golden weapon, with sharp edges (it seemed so because it cut through some wood on the wall) had blocked the fatal throw.*
*Wondering what in blazes was going on, she realized this certain house had a back door/back porch looking thing, not how she was used to, but still was similar to a typical similarity of the two. She was just to the right of it, and she knew someone was standing in the doorway.*
*Everyone was so focused on the battle, they forgot one huuuuuuge detail. Who's houses were these? Who's temples and roads and trees and gold did these belong? Had ANYONE stopped and sai hi to the natives?*
*Tobbs glanced over slowly, her eyes locking on what she guessed to be a local. He was tall, strong, and darker, and he definitely looked like some kind of soldier or guard. She smiled fakely and waved a bit, calling voer to Jack, who stood just a step away from ehr watching Luis and Mark.*
"Erm...Jack....bloody 'ell Jack get over 'ere..."
*She kept the smile on ehr face, still seated on the floor. When he got close enough, she yanked him next to her side, her gaze never leaving the local man.*
"Um...I think we might've missed our welcoming party...."
*She stood slowly, which in turn made her be able to see out of the doorway, where a dozen or two stood. As she straightened, the man in the doorway bowed low, whispering something not understandable. As he did, the rest bowed low, and she bit ehr lip.*
"Alrigh....maybe we DIDN' miss it..."
*Shifting ehr eyes once during the whole scene to Jack, she gave a nervous laugh, when suddenly, she felt two huge arms wrap around ehr, and saw Jack being lifted up.*
"Woaawwwww buddy, not even going to offer me some rum?"
*She was kidding, of course. But he wasn't. They placed her and Jack in this odd sort of contraption that four of them carried, and she smacked her forehead when she noted not any of the others were following them it seemed.*
"Um....Jack...I think....gah....we're in trouble, captain..."
*But as much as she thought she was being led to some sacrifice, she doubted it. All the people around her wouldn't look at either one of them, and when they finally got to their destination, this big huge temple with lots of stairs, all the natives were waiting, seeming to look ina we.*
"What'd ya do this time Jack? 'onestly, I said 'be careful' a few times now!"
*She muttered this just enough for him to hear. As the two were gestured to get out, she blinked again. Just as they stepped out together, more of that lingo they spoke was heard and they all bowed again. Well that was interesting...*
*Glancing over to this high up fancy to do man, who looked like he was in his 40's, she smiled, this time more real, and spoke up.*
"You speak...any...English?"
*He nodded*
"Yes, Golden Goddess...I am scholar of El Dorado...I speak many tongues..."
*She eyed him in suprise.*
"Golden Goddess?"
*They all bowed again and rose. She looked to Jack and mouthed something like 'bloody 'ell!'*
"Yes, Goddess of Gold. Surely it is you. Our sketches, drawings, all this...portrays...or shows is the word, yes? But yes...it shows you're arrival....with the God beside you, of course..."
*They bowed at Jacks title. She was shocked. And amused. But still shocked. She looked over at Jack and was silenced as people with fans and dancers and fruit carriers began appearing everywhere as theyw ere gestured up into the temple. She eyed him carefully, wondering exactly what they SHOULD do...but then again...what could be funner...*

*Michael mae sort of an evil laugh/grunt as he followed Selina, thinking over thi Curinin dagger with interest. He kept just right behind her, expecting anything. there could be a whole part of Jack's crew in there and he wouldn't know. So he got his knives ready and grit his teeth.*
"Alright then...let's fetch us a sacrifice..."
*He entered just behind ehr, spotting EVelyn immeidately, then the brute he'd beaten nearly to death. He grumbled at him and glanced over at Selina, signalling he'd get the man if she could handle the injured woman. Pretty positive she could, especially with that ankle. So, immeidately lunging at the man, he pinned him down on the ground and smirked.*
"Oh well, we're going to be going through this again, are we? I should have killed you when I had the chance...but I guess that would've been a more easy death, so more fun for me."
*He grappled with him, calling out to Selina as she was dealing with Evelyn.*
"I'll finish the brute, you just get her where she needs to go!"

Evelyn relished the last few words spoken by Eric and sighed heavily. When would they ever be left in peace, she wondered. Her eyes turned back to Eric. "Well, migh' as well make this momen' worth it mate..." Eve sighed heavily as she turned to face him slightly and kissed him passionately.
Just then, two figures leaped into the home and she turned to stare down at them. "BLOODY 'ELL!" she cried and quickly grabbed hold of Eric's waist, but was yanked from his side violently as Michael crashed his way towards them. Eric was instantly tackled away and Selina's arms grasped tightly around Evy's arm. Evelyn slapped out hard, giving a defeaning smack to Selina's face, making the woman growl. "Ye bloody wench! Comin' after me when 'm bloody injured!" Her eyes glowed with a fire.
Selina seemingly relished in the notion that Evelyn was injured and she shoved Evelyn onto the floor violently before taking her boot and pressing it hard onto her ankle. To this Evelyn cried out in sheer, blinding, pain. "GAH! NO..." Evelyn uttered. There was a strange, dull, crack, and Evelyn was helpless. The pain was too much and her last vision of Eric struggling became blurred before she closed her eyes...
