*Tobbs Sighed in relief when Jack sat up and hugged her, happy to be giving Jack the reins again (which really never happened). She rested against him and sighed, kinda wanting to keep him there in a hug rather than go. But alas, life was life, and they had to leave.*
*She stood up after him with his help, smiling at him softly and brushing herself off. She followed him silently, keeping near him in the inviting darkness of the jungle. She saw the camp from a distance, and she sighed again. She didn't know whether it was from relief or disappointment. Maybe a bit of both.*
*Stopping just where he stopped, on the borders of the camp, she yawned and blinked a few times. At his kiss, her smile grew and she nodded.*
"Aye, we've got ourselves an accord. Let's see 'ow well we can 'old it up."
*Laughing lightly, she buttoned a button or two up on her shirt, realizing she ahdn't remembered to do so before, bordering back on modest's sake. She muttered something as she cast a glance over at the crew, taking her place next to Jack as she stood there.*
"Right then. Best get some sleep."
*She slipped ehr hand in his, not wanting to be seperated from him, if even for a little bit. That was her way of telling him she needed to be near him at that certain point in time.*
"Crew seems to be scattered then. Mornings coming; should I find some place to rest, Jack?"

*Eric continued to watch the jungle about them at first as she started speaking again, frankly just hoping that if he ignored her long enough she'd stop yelling at him and let it go for a little while. He cringed a little when she brought up how he'd been the one who followed her on this trip. She had him there but continued to say nothing as she turned away from him. However it didn't take long for her to regain his complete attention.
He blinked a couple times, wondering if she was really about to tell him what had happened to her. He noticed a few tears falling down her slender cheeks and his brow furrowed. As her story began his heart began to race and he closed his eyes, taking in every word that she spoke. A chill went up his spine and his breath caught in his throat.
He knew these things had happened to her but her detail on them gave them a brand new meaning for him and a new type of anger, unkown to him before, rose up in him. How could anyone do something like this to another human being? Evelyn was stubborn yes but she never, ever deserved such horrible things in her life. He opened his eyes again when she said she had hated herself for it because she allowed it to happen. He shook his head at her as if to say it wasn't her fault but his lips remained shut as she continued on.
When she turned and looked at him again, her eyes filled with tears and her face a painting of sorrow his own eyes went misty. He wanted to go up to her, hold her in her in his arms, somehow make her past go away forever. But his feet remained planted and he stood still as a statue. Whether she wanted his sympathy or not, she had it. It wasn't right that her innocence had been snatched from her like that, she had deserved something so much more special, so much more meaningful.
As she began yelling at him again he swallowed hard and lowered his head, still trying to take it all in. When she said she wasn't good enough he cringed and felt his heart sink. His eyes looked slowly back up at her and he shook his head for a long moment. He took a step towards her, reached out, and then quickly took a step back, wrapping his arms about him. He didn't know what to do, didn't know what to say. What would she do if he embraced her now after he had just told her such a cruel thing.
He decided to at least risk approaching her and so he did, walking to her slowly until he was but a foot away.* No, Evelyn, I'm not happy and no I didn't enjoy it. Believe it or not it hurts me to know you went through all of that. You're not a wench, Evy so don't say that. It wasn't your fault that any of that happened, you couldn't have stopped it even if you had tried. But...I...I didn't say I couldn't love you because you weren't good enough. God, Evelyn you're the most amazing woman I have ever known. You're like nobody else and that's what I love about you. *He said in a voice just above a whisper. He sighed heavily and rubbed his eyes with his hand as he looked away.
He did love her, and he would always love her, more than anything in this life or the next. But now it seemed as if he had just thrown all of that away with words stupidly said through his anger.* I didn't mean to hurt you with what I said, I didn't mean it. I know you don't want my sympathies but I am sorry about what happened to you. And...gah, I'm sorry too that sometimes I'm not any better then that man you killed. I've hurt you twice now after promising I wouldnt. *He said, struggling not to cry. He'd hardened a lot since he first left her, and he would try at all costs not to let his tears fall now, especially in front of her.* I don't want to hurt you anymore, Evy. I truely do love you so much that I'd rather die then see you hurt again, especially when its because of something I've done or said. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I want you to have your innocence back, and I want those kinds of moments in your life to mean something, to make you smile not cry. If I could be the one to give you those things I'd be the happiest man alive. *He said, taking another small step towards her, but not wanting to push his boundries just yet.
He knew she was more than angry with him at the moment, he also knew she had every right to be and so didn't expect it otherwise.* I just don't know if I could be that guy, that's the only reason I'd leave again. *He said and fell silent, lowering his eyes. He didn't know what else to say or do and so he only stood there, fearing what would happen next. His heart ached and he closed his eyes to keep the tears from falling. He couldn't picture life without her now, but after hearing about the hurts she faced in her past, he didn't want to be the one to add to them.*

::Jack glanced around the camp. Things seemed to be in a state of muted chaos. A few of the crew were missing. The others seemed to be sleeping fitfully. Jack frowned, thinking.::
::They were not stupid enough to march into the jungle unarmed....and Jack felt he might have heard something if they were in danger. Still, it made him feel uneasy.....::
::Everyone seemed a bit....restless....again he frowned, still holding onto Tobbs's hand. finally he just nodded:: "Let's find a place to sleep.....if they're in trouble they'll shout.....and ye can see the fires for a ways off...so they shouldn't get lost....."
::This being said he took her hand and went to the middle of camp and sat down, taking her with him. He sighed, stretched out and laid down, closing his eyes. He so badly needed some sleep right now it wasn't even funny.::
::Dawn would come and they'd be up again looking for treasure......and he'd have Tobbs with him...and his crew....his family....and everything would fall into place somewhere along the line.....::
::These were the thoughts that filled his head as he FINALLY got some sleep for the night....::
(p.s. Alright mates. I'm voting we move this rpg kindly along. Next posts can be of finding El Dorado. I'm making a new thread right now.)
