::Jack's eyes followed th bug through the air. He didn't budge for a long second. The next second his arm lashed through the air, and he was clutching something lightly in his fist. He turned and opened his fist, then let the bee go.::
::The poor thing flew off looking distinctly disoriented. Jack raised a brow looking at Tobbs, almost amused, he took her hand in his and flexed her fingers lightly so her little finger was pointed up.: "Ye can fight like a demon with a sword and yer afraid of a bug no bigger then your little finger's nail?" He was amused, looking at her pinkie finger.::
::He stared at it, as if consdering her little finger was all the intensity of looking at a pearl. Which was of course done to make her squirm. finally he laughed:: "Bees don't hut ye, unless you scare them. They are a lot smaller then you ye know...."
::Jack resettled himself on the ground, sitting cross legged, and edged closer to her, still facing her. He watched her a long while. Then finally just blurted out what had crossed his mind a second eariler:: "Why me?" He asked.::
::Which of course meant: "Why did you pick me? Why do you like me? Why me?" Jack well.....didn't trust to many people. and much as he found himself liking Tobbs.....well...past reasons made him have to question people. He paused then asked in a much calmer voice, more earnestly: "Why me?"

*Tobbs jumped a bit, startled by the quick grab fro the bee. She watched it fly off with apprehension, making sure it was a safe distance before sighing with a bit of relief. When he took up her hand and viewed her little finger, she watched him gaze at it as if determined or whatnot, and she fidgeted a tad, waiting for something.*
*At his amused expression and laugh, she gave an obstinate sigh as a retort, smiling all the while when she spoke up.*
"Well, they may be smaller, but the fact that they got their own weapon's due enough to be wary of 'em. Just because they're small, doesn't mean they aren't dangerous necessarily."
*She nodded matter-of-factly, putting her hand up against his and examining the two of them against one another. She had just finished being content with viewing them against ine another when she heard his thoughts.*
"Why me?"
*She quickly brought her eyes up to his, watching him think, listening to him repeat it. She knew she cared for him; she knew she loved him. And why? Well, did he have all night to talk on this? No matter, she didn't care if it took their entire voyage. She was absorbed again in focus.*
"Why ye?...well, we're 'ere to talk. Aye indeed, we are."
*She was reassuring ehrself that he'd want to listen to whatever she said, as she couldn't determine where to start off at all. So, instead of planning so carefully, she tried to loosen up and let control waver a bit. Go with it...
"Jack....remember....remember the first day we ever saw eachother? I ran into Will's shop, stole a sword, you chased after me...I gave it up, got drunk, picked a fight...well, ever since then....Well, yer different Jack...different than anyone I ever used to know, ever know now...no matter that I stole a friend's work, or tried wrestling away from ye when you were savin me, or jumped off the Pearl and you rescued me...no matter what....you were the only one who truly cared for me."
*She paused where she was at. Taking in a big breath, her smile had faded, and her voice was full of that thick honesty and cre she'd just recently adapted too.*
"The first day ya met me....I tried killing you, and you fought to save me...me! Everyone else in my life....no one treated me even with respect....you....you were the first person to ever let it dawn on me that there was some good in the world...you were the one who showed me that....that I could be loved..."
*A sigh fell from her lips as she blinked back any sign of tears forming. She wasn't going to let emotion take her away...well, she was going to try not to let it at least.*
"Ever since that first day, I couldn't 'elp but watch ye, watch 'ow caring you were to yer crew, to yer friends. Ya treated everyone with respect, and those close with love...I didn't know 'ow you did it at first....thought you were daft in the beginning...but I realized, I was just looking up to you, wishing I 'ad what you 'ad, 'ad the love that the others received from ye, and always trying to find some way to be around you, even if I told myself I 'ated you from time to time...I couldn' do it. You'd just consume my thoughts more and more..."
*Letting her eyes rest on him while she was silent for a second, Tobbs didn't try studying his eyes for his thoughts, but just gazed into them as she continued.*
"My entire life I'd run from emotions, feelings, memories. I'd focus on the world's evil, and try to be apart of it even....I didn't want a weakness...I didn' want to be 'urt again....but no matter 'ow 'ard I tried fighting it at first, I couldn't stop myself from the feelings and emotions I began to 'ave since I saw you the first time. Everything changed on me...because of you. Because you cared, and watched over me, and never 'urt me....."
*Alright, as much as she could've been going against it, it was happening, no matter how she felt-for it or against it. She was starting to get...a bit mushy, but, well, the truth was the truth...
"...and then, as things started to get recent, I couldn't 'elp but start thinkin' of ye when I saw you pass, or take my eyes off of ye when you 'appened to wind up in danger, not caring at all to watch my own back....and then I began to smile when you smiled...laughed when you laughed....I luved the way your eyes lit up in excitement...the way you looked when you were in thought...the way yer smile curved upon yer lips....'ow you risked everything just ta save someone, 'ow ya never lost 'ope...everything about you, I found myself watching, and luving...and to me, it just wasn't what I was used too...and I was afraid of doin' something to jeapordize someone, or somethin'...contemplated leavin the ship when we stopped at Tortuga next..didn' wanna 'ave anythin' 'appen on account of me.."
*She let another sigh escape again, shrugging it off and casting her eyes away from him a bit before resuming her gaze.*
"Where do I even begin? Can I even end? Why you? Because yer you Jack, yer the Jack that was and is the first person I've ever truly cared for, and been cared for by. Because yer the Jack that never stopped givin' up on me, when everyone else turned a cold shoulder or doubted all I was....because yer the Jack that...that awoke the one thing that I never thought could be possible in my life...love."
*She didn't know what else to say...didn't know what else to do. She just let her hand clasp his, and tore her gaze from him as she brought it to the ground. She didn't know how he'd feel about all of it. But that's what it was. That's why.*

::Jack blinked. Because frankly there was nothing he could do or say at the moment that would make much sense....his mind chewed over the rather...long speech Tobbs had just given and just....sat looking somewhat thunderstruck::
"Well....that's...interstin'..." Jack said weakly and gave her a smile. He wasn't joking at all. But it was..well....strange for Jack to hear someone say that about him. He wasn't sure how to respond. So well..he responded as he felt was correct.::
::He kissed her. Because frankly, as vocal as Jack was, he knew he'd never be able to top that little speech off, and say exactlly what he felt::
::It was startling enough that she had admitted she loved him. Was stunned enough to realize he was feeling pretty damn well confused himself. Well..not confused...stunned...for many reasons. So he simply kissed her::
::Yeah...it was a kiss that said something as most kisses have messages this one didn't just say something. It SCREAMED something. and it was along the lines of "wow-you've-liked-me-for-that-damn-long-and-didn't-say-anything-wow-sorry-I-didn't-pay-attention-sooner-and-damn-this-feels-right-now-doesn't-it-?-Sorry-I-can't-say-what-you-said-back-cause-it's-just-damn-easier-to-do-this-and-feels-nicer-too-How-long-do-you-think-I-can-kiss-you-without-coming-up-for-air-and-are-you-up-for-that-challange?"::
:;Lot can be said in a kiss. Oh yes. Jack was not to be outdone. If he couldn't startled her with words, he'd startle her this way. Was only fair. The kiss was absolutly inflamed, impassioned and breathstealing all at once.::
::finally he pulled back just a bit....and looked at her as if wondering if that answered and settled all questions, or put to rest any doubts. damn that they were in a jungle......Jack had the nerveot smile at her, waiting::

*Tobbs was about to say something along the lines of 'sorry that was so long, I just went with what I felt', and so on, so not to have to fear he'd bolt off into the jungle in fear she'd actually been daft as she spoke, when all of a sudden, he was giving her a breathtaking kiss again. But oh no, this one was the god of all passionate kisses. This was the top dog of the other REALLY great kisses. This one was more than stunning and amazing, but completely and entirely captivating and extraordinary. This, was one hell of a kiss.*
*When Jack pulled back, she was stunned into silence. Stunned. She DEFINITELY got the message there. Blinking a few times to let reality try and soak in, which was hard to do, she kept gazing at the floor, unable to draw her attention yet away from savoring the thought of the kiss still. It was honestly THAT great.*
*Finally, after such a pause, she looked up at him and bit her lip. She was really actually tempted to leave the crew and head back for the ship. She was actually calculating how long it would take to get from here to there. How was she supposed to 'subdue' herself from doing anything when he was sweeping her away with such a glorious thing as that?! Honestly! Jungle or no jungle, cannibals weren't even dawning on her mind now. But then, shaking it off as best she could, she gazed at him for a bit still.*
*Leaning in a tad closer to the captain, and letting a smile tilt the edge of her lips, she whispered rather than spoke up.*
"Ya know, when we get back to the ship, its gonna be one 'ell of a night."
*She smiled a bit more and scooted just up enough so she let her own lips fall against his, this time around being rather a soft and gentle quicker kiss, just to show she wasn't going to slap him or anything.*
"Mmmhhmm...definitely got something to look forward to when we're on the sea."
*She was again in the playful spirit of things, letting her hand rest on his neck. She then scooted over so she could lean her head against him, sighing contentedly, still in thought over that kiss.*
"City of Gold might be nice....ya never know what we'll find there... whatcha thinkin', Jack?"

::Barbossa halted, scanning the area surrounding him and the small crew he had brought ashore into the jungle. The trees, the leaves, the vines....it was all the same. No matter which path he took, they never seemed to make any progress. The pirate captain knew that if he didn't find something soon, there would be a mutiny. He could already hear the whispers in the small group behind him::
"We're lost..." :: one rough voice said:: "That's cause there never was no gold city... we're on a fool's quest!" ::hissed his companion. Barbossa, gritted his teeth and put one hand on the hilt of his pistol.....That's when he saw it::
"Gentlemen.. Selina... I told ye I wasn' lyin'...." ::Barbossa knelt down and scooped something up into his hand. When he turned around, he was holding a small golden rock, smooth on one end as if it had once belonged to part of a bigger object. The crew was stunned to silence: Barbossa grinned inwardly. Even he was beginning to have doubts until now::
"Here be yer proof that El Dorado exists! Anyone dare doubt me word now?"

::Jack settled himself in and drew her close to him thinking over the idea. He was smiling to himself. Silently someplace up in the universe a scoreboard lit up. TOBBS:7 JACK:10. Jack smiled.::
"Don't know....it's a city of gold isn't it? I'm supposin it means literally...a city of gold...but someone must have built it....can't be standin' there all by it's onesies with nobody there to claim it....I'm just hopin' it's not more cannibels...bloody....."
::He wasn't comfortable. He leaned back, and held her close to him, then reclined on his back so he was holding her aganist his chest. She was lying on him. He bend one nknee and laid down, looking at her.::
"Supposin' we find this grand city. How much do ye think we'll be able to carry back? Not much more then any other haul I suppose. The ship can only hold so much.....but it'd keep most of the crew happy for a long time. One hell of a night in Tortuga. Will an' Elizabeth can buy something nice."
::He frowned a little: "At least...least we'll know where it's at if we ever need gold.....and anyway..it's been a interstin' journey...." He winked at her, and knowing what she'd been thinking bout making a runfor the ship.::
"We can't leave now, luv, what'll the crew think? They might get mad, ye know, leavin' them in the middle of a jungle...."

Evelyn stirred slightly. Then she woke to a staunch smell, one that made her inhale sharply, and instinctively scuttled to the darkest corner. She blinked in the darkness and only one light flickered. A small lamp light waxed and waned with the slow rocking of the ship and Evelyn's heart beat quickened. She knew this place, this stagnant, small, secluded, space. It had been engraved in her all too well and here she was again, trembling.
Her mind swirled and the harsh smell of rum stung her nostrils. She looked down at herself, the loose shirt that covered her, currently the ONLY garment offering any sort of coverage, was stained with the golden liquid. Signs that her attacker refused to give up the sour drink even in the struggle of it all. The green bottle that once glimmered like emeralds, now lay shattered into a thousand pieces upon the floor at the foot of the bed. Evelyn instinctively brought a hand to her head...blood...
It was the last thing she had remembered of the nights past events really, the stagnant smell, the sweaty arms, and the smashing of glass. That was it. Now, as she looked over at him in his bed, she growled. He lay there, an arm hanging from the side of the bed and the covers half making him anything decent. His shaggy, blonde tresses covered his face, and his slight stubble was prickly even for her to just look at. There was a smile on his face...
A curse rolled off her tongue but then she bit her lip. No...not even the harshest words would suit him. Not now...not ever. Evelyn shook her head and looked at herself disgustedly. How did she allow it to end up like this? Granted she was young, but Eve had ALWAYS at least felt assured she would be able to fight tooth and nail should anything truly come after her.
If anything, she was ashamed. Ashamed that she hadn't done anything. Ashamed that this wasn't the first time this had happened, and ashamed that the man was still breathing. Ashamed that she was frozen, that she seemingly was planted and rooted to the ship the moments afterwards.
Silence...the rocking of the ship was all she heard...the soft creak of wood, a howling wind outside, and nothing more. Bruises were lined upon her wrists and she shook her head at them, as if it was something she could have prevented, when really, in the back of her logical mind, she knew she couldn't have. He was too strong, she was too afraid, and too weak...
It wasn't right, it wasn't fair, and it wasn't for her...not anymore.
She stood from the corner finally and delicately, in a catlike manner, she inched forward, her small feet barely making a sound. It wasn't the heavy footfall of a woman of 22, but of a light tiptoe of a young girl of 18. Bending over Evelyn picked out a shard, almost wanting to pick out the sharpest and worst of them all. One that would dig deep into him, that would scar him, end his life...
As she clenched the shard and then lifted her hand however, there was a sudden commotion, heavy boots, a harsh growl, Captain Carcassas voice, and in an instant Eve was gone.
Instead...she fluttered her eyes open. Surrounded by green again...feeling somewhat relieved and yet angrier than ever...

*Tobbs would catch up on that score...indeed she would. Jack was good, REALLY good, but she had to be better. And time would tell just how much the score would change.*
*Tobbs was pondering over his first words as he moved the two of them about to find a comfortable position to be in, and she laid her head on her hands as she lay on him, watching him as she thought over his words. Something didn't sound right to her. Something had to be there too.*
"Well, bet we could carry enough to last us a long while of happiness indeed. Should be good for everyone to get away from jungle trees and flying things and whatnot. It'll all be worth it."
*She glanced occasionally over towards the direction she judged the ship to be in...couldn't be THAT far...justly speaking, I mean-*
'At least...least we'll know where it's at if we ever need gold.....and anyway..it's been a interstin' journey....'
*She jumped back to attention and nodded with a slyer smile rounding up on the edges of her mouth. She began thinking over all that happened and was rather glad she risked coming ashore the jungle island. At catching his wink, her brow rose and she listened as he spoke up. Not sure whether to laugh, or sigh in disappointment at the notion put to fade, she shrugged as a compromise.*
"The crew doesn't 'AVE to know, I mean..."
*Trailing off at the sudden realization he'd caught her thinking of sneaking off to the ship, she sighed and laughed lightly, shaking her head at her own self and at him.*
"Well then, let's 'ope this City of Gold 'as some kind of something other than solid gold there. I'm not the best at patience..."
*Such a teasing, yet truthful statement. It was true, she was terrible with patience, he knew that from the last encounter they ahd with Barbossa. But she'd try...
"Well then, a city of Gold and so far we've got cannibals, snake pits, bridges, and rebels. Anything else we can expect captain? Or should we just worry about me?"
*Another teasing line. Wasn't this so fun? ^.^ *

*Eric stirred a little as Evelyn lifted herself from him, though he remained in a dreamfilled sleep. For a moment her lips touched his and his own formed a gentle smile as he rolled over on his side. But smile or no the haunting image of Elinor was still prominant in his mind. She was gladly waiting for his return to Port Royal, expecting with all her heart that he would come to her and they would be together until the end of their days.
She was waiting for him on the docks as the Pearl arrived and as he stepped off onto the pier she threw her arms about him but he couldnt tear his own away from the ship, away from Evelyn who was staring at him with sad eyes from the railing. He looked between the two woman and he tried to go back to Evelyn but he couldn't. Something was holding him back, pulling him towards Elinor.
He struggled against the force but it was too strong and he let it take him. As he walked away with Elinor he glanced over his shoulder in utter sadness then lowered his eyes, mouthing the words "Im sorry" to Evelyn. As he lost site of her his eyes jerked open. He was breathing heavily and there were tears in his eyes.* Gah, bloody dream. *He hissed, wiping his eyes and glancing around.
He noticed Evelyn was missing and his brow furrowed. No one in the camp seemed alarmed and so he figured she must have just went off to be alone. He caught sight of Jack and Tobbs and raised a nervous brow, hoping that they WOULD go back to the ship if they got anymore "involved" there. He had enough on his mind to give him nightmares for a good long while. He didn't want to add to it.
He grinned and rolled his eyes at them then headed into the trees, wandering around in the dimly lit jungle hoping that he would somehow just stumble across her, considering he wasn't exactly sure where she had went in the first place. He wasn't comfortable with the fact she was out here alone and he was determined to find her. At first all he could hear was the mysterious happenings of the jungles nocternal life and the whispering of streams and waterfalls sprinkled about in the distance.
He thrust his hands in his pockets and began to quietly whistle the pirate song to himself. It still felt as if eyes were on him, watching him with distaste and so the whistling was to distract from it, but it wasn't helping. Just as he ceased her heard a stirring to his left. He raised a brow and cautiously crept towards the noise when he found Evelyn laying upon the ground. Evidenently she had just awoken from uneasy sleep and his heart sank a little, he knew she'd had a nightmare.
He trotted towards her, kneeling down before her as he reached out and ever so gently caressed her cheek with the back of his hand. His warm eyes, sparkling in the moonlight, danced about her face and then he took a seat beside her. He scooped her hands up in his and tipped his head so that his own was against hers and for a long moment he sat there, saying nothing and doing nothing.* Are you alright? *He asked, knowing that she wasnt. Not being able to help her made him feel so helpless and it was killing him.
He turned his head and his lips brushed up against her cheek and then he kissed it, closing his eyes.* I would rather die then see you go through all this pain. *He began in a gentle whisper, moving his mouth to her ear.* Please tell me what happened to you. Please. *He said, pulling back a little until their eyes met. His own pleaded with her. He knew she held an ugly past but if she kept it inside her, he doubted she'd ever heal.*

Evelyn barely had time to recouperate when she heard the rustling of leaves and her head jolted upwards. She scurried to the nearest tree and then closed her eyes. It was almost as if she WANTED something to happen. For someone to take her away or anything really...just so she could forget about all this. Finally Eric emerged and Eve forced half a smile. "Eric mate..." she began slowly. She had wanted to say something sweeter, she had wanted to just throw herself on him, but she couldn't at the moment and she hated why it was that she wasn't able to.
His large stature made a path through the trees and she gave a very slight smirk as he took a seat next to her. He took up her hands in his. He seemed to have guessed what had happened and Evelyn shook her head slightly. His words were like honey, his smooth, deep, velvety voice was one that could always put her at ease, and it did slightly. Yet, as she turned to look into his eyes she sighed heavily. His kiss was sweet, and although she knew she would find solace in him she shook her head stubbornly.
"Eric I...I jus' can'." Evelyn stated slolwy, as if considering her words carefully. She didn't want to hurt him with her way of expression, even though within her there was a boiling anger that was simply waiting to burst free. She didn't want to yell at him, although she felt frustrated and she hated herself for this.
She embraced him tightly once but that was about all the physical comforting she could offer for him. His eyes were pleading, and although she wished she could tell it all to him, she knew it would hurt. "No...listen...I jus' I can' be the bloody idiot that goes bawlin' 'bout her past, alright? I'm just...its done with." She stated with a sound nod. Her eyes flickered slightly, a small warning for him not to proceed. Although she knew he was stubborn too and more likely than not might push her for it.
In a way she believed she needed to do that, to be forced to say these things...but she just couldn't do it. Not now...they had a quest to undertake...and she wasn't about to stain Eric and her time together with her shady past. Besides...she wasn't sure how much time they had left...and frankly she wasn't sure she'd want to tell someone SO much if they were just going to leave her. THIS bitterness showed up and she lashed out a bit. "Besides...yer probably goin' ta be leavin' me soon mate...an' I'm not sure I should leave ye with bloody haunted memories and such." Eve stated as she slowly stood.
"C'mon mate, let's head on back." Eve sighed heavily and crossed her arms. She was ready to hear something from him, anything really. And she would try to hold back any sharp words...but Eve was never really good at controlling her temper.

::Turning his head to look at her a bit Jack laughed.:: "I think yer more o' a problem then cannibles and snakes put together...." He smirked, joking of course, but for some reason, it was just fun to push buttons if he could get away with it.::
"an' of course a bit more deadly then waterfalls or cliffs....being that after I fall over you there's no coming back...." His tone changed just slightly. Just enough to say he wasn't joking, all that much.::
::But that changed in almost a instant, and he dropped a kiss on her forehead. Yes he liked kisses, liked hugs. Liked feeling someone close to him. An illusion he fed off of in Tortuga. Kisses were just fun. He ran a hand through Tobbs's hair and gave a strange sigh::
::Contented maybe. Or at the very least relaxed. He kept talking:: "If we find this City, what are ye going to do with your share? There's a lot ye can do with that much gold....."
::And almost in effort to just keep her near he was talking:: "I'm going to fix the Pearl. Over haul the deck, the cabins.....new guns....new ropes....fix everything....she'll be the fastest ship in the Caribbean for as long as I have her. As long as I havea good crew....Keep the good Commodore Norrington busy back in Port Royale...."
::He laughed suddenly: "Ye know....when I lost the Pearl.....never really thought I'd have a chance to get her back and make her grand again....now I can...." He rambled on a bit longer. "And she'll be wonderful....best pirate ship to ever sail the seven seas......."
::Jack looked at Tobbs, smiling faintly:: "She'll be a home....ye know...not sure if ye've ever had one...but she can be yer home like she's been mine....." Alright, not exactly a bloody marriage proposal, far from it, but a invitation to himself really. he shared the Black Pearl with his crew, because it was a home with his crew. But he'd given her a formal invitation.::
::A way of saying "If you'll have me, I want ye with me." Without saying it straight out. He took her hand, and pressed his own palm to palm with hers, splayed the fingers then flexed his own out, again, testing the waters. He idn't look at her, but watched her hand, noting the diffrences, but somewhat admiring that they fit together nicely.::
::Course she was also pretty deadly. It was common knowledge that once a pirate fell in love, or took a liking to a certain lady, his pirateing career was over. It was how he'd lost Katrina...he'd run away. Katrina had been a proper lady, like Elizabeth and wouldn't come to the sea with him. and the sea had a stronger call for Jack then.....so much stronger.::
::But Tobbswas a pirate.....she'd be at sea...so this would work....he hoped. He wondered vaguly if Will, being of pirate's blood would let his kids become pirates. Probably not. But Jack had a sneaking suspision that they'd end up half wild and reckless as their father.::
::He smiled to himself and glanced at Tobbs, waiting once more:#nosmileys

*Erics eyes lowered and he looked away from her as she said that she couldn't tell him the things inside her head. He took a deep breath and released one of her hands, rubbing the back of his neck as he shifted a little. He wanted desperatly to hear about what had happened to her, maybe then he would have a better understanding of why she was the way she was.
He sighed and his shoulders slumped, his eyes looking back upon her face and his lips formed a lopsided frown. He ignored the flicker in her eyes and her warning smile.* Evelyn you cant keep it inside of you forever. If you do I can almost promise you it will never go away. And crying about your past doesn't make you an idiot. *He stated in a firm tone filled with concern. A bewlidered look came over his face as she lashed out at him a bit and rose to her feet.
For a moment he remained seated just looking at her with a furrowed brow and then he too rose slowly, dusting off the seat of his pants.* You assume too much, Evelyn. And besides you could have come with me but you didn't. You don't think I was bitter about that? But I knew Port Royal wasn't the kind of life you needed and so I didn't ask. Don't just blame me for leaving. *He said rather bitterly.* And you of all people should know I already have haunted memories. So what is the difference of a few more? *He snapped and then sighed heavily. They were so close to the city now, so close to the end of the journey that he didn't want things to be bitter between them again. He ran his hands over his face and back through his hair frustrated.* You're right, lets go. *He said, not able to find any other words at the moment and without hesitating trudged back towards the camp again.*

*Tobbs gave a somehwat proud, somewhat teasing grin as he joked. Cannibals and snakes together didn't sound all that nice...so more of a problem then that was pretty bloody good. Never underestimate, she said to herself with a small laugh.*
"Is that so?"
*She spoke with a hint of fake arrogance, holding her chin up higher in the air as she raised it from resting on him. But the grin melted into a softer smile at his next remark. While in a joking nature, it did have the message in it she saw. And she thought it was indeed sweet of him; she didn't know how she'd ever be able to live without the captain, and with him in danger's grasp every five seconds, it'd grown a dreary formality to picture what it'd be like while he was dead. Not good...not good at all.*
*But no need of the depressing thoughts as those. Her smile slipped higher up her cheeks when he kissed her. She returned resting her head back on him again, closing her eyes for a second or so so she could absorb the sensation she had by by just being close to him, feeling his touch, his fingers running through her hair, all of it.*
*Slowly opening them when he began speaking, she suddenly wondered what she WOULD do with her share of the gold. Just the fact that there was a whole city of one made her dismiss the thought of what she could do. She didn't have a home she could buy things for, or a relative to adorn with presents, or a family to give a share for support. Then she suddenly hit a thought. The crew was her family. Aye, and Jack...Jack was the one person she held closest to her; he was more than family....which made smaller ideas begin popping up in her mind on what to get.*
*All the while she was focusing on the captain and his plot to use the gold for the ship. She admired him for that. She knew he loved it, loved being aboard it, loved feeling the power and control he had over it in a way. It was his ship, and she was glad he held care for it, as well as those who were aboard.*
*She nodded at the fact that Norrington would have a great challenge ahead of him. Always loved to make those serving the queen and the crown have some opposition in their lives. Poor fools. Probably was a rather uneventful life if they didn't have pirates to keep 'em busy.*
*Then, when he spoke on losing the Pearl, Tobbs bit her lip slightly. She'd just been trying to anger him with that little detail, and still felt bad for it, even though he'd made it known it'd be alright. Bloody guilt. She dismissed the feeling though when she saw Jack smile faintly, and speak on homes....and then, he was saying she could call the Pearl her home....*
*Home....she never did have one really, and when she thought she did, she was too little to remember. The whole thought on having a place actually be a home was rather another new thing to her...and he was giving her an invitation, an invitation to his own ship, which made it all really special to her. She had a distant look as she gazed off to where the sea was, an odd little shadow drew over her face, that of bliss, and almost relief, as if she had always wanted, and needed a place to call home and get away from the world at, but never found one.*
"Home...I'd like that Jack...I'd like that very much."
*She gazed down at their hands pressed together, letting a second or two of silence roam about as she paused and viewed them. Then, letting her fingers fall between his and pressing a kiss against the back of his hand, she sighed in a contented, thoughtful manner.*
"Ya know...never honestly thought I'd ever 'ave a 'ome...didn't see it 'appening I guess...good to feel like I finally truly belong somewhere."
*Her eyes lit up suddenly with a notion. Tobbs's grin reappeared, with an almost absorbed, excited expression on her face.*
"I've got it! I'll use 'alf the share of gold I get fer one thing, and the other 'alf, to buy a 'ouse like Will's and allow everyone 'o doesn't ;ave a 'ome to live there!"
*As she gazed down to catch Jack's reaction, the side of her that tried showing little care for anything tried taking over as usual.*
"Simply because they're a bother to mess with in the streets, bloody bilge rats, the lot of 'em."
*Eying Jack to see if he caught the act, she laughed softly. She knew she couldn't fool him. Cuddling up a bit more against him, she began caressing his chest with her free hand, still thoughtful, but more of the spark in her eyes returning.*
"Ah well, might be nice, ya never know. Would 'ave to keep a stronger gate aorund the Turner residence. And ya never know WHAT they'd do in there. But at least it'd be somewhere. Think the Turners could 'andle a large 'ouseful of complete strangers living right next to 'em?"

::Jack glanced at Tobbs, calculating if she was serious or not, then smiled:: "I don't know lass....went I met Will he was in the rather annoying habit of fighting pirates till the death...an' I think he tolerates us pretty well....but a whole bloody house of pirates livin' next door.......?"::
::He smiled, and allowed himself a good laugh, pictuing Will and Elizabeth trying in vain to ignore the violence and wildness of a house full of pirates......might be interesting....::
"Well....I suppose we could always ask Will his opinion on the matter.....or not.....might be a nice surprise for him.....don't ye think?"
::;With a half yawn Jack closed his eyes and slowly settled down, only his hand stroking her hair still in a rather rythmic motion. Almost assuring himself she was still there.....::
::Finally Jack opened his eyes and looked at her:: "Ye want to sleep here? Or go back to camp then?" He asked her. Either way to Jack he didn't mind. He was comfortable here....or in camp. Either way he just wanted her nearby.::

"A nice suprise indeed; I'm sure he'd adore it."
*She laughed lightly and took a deep breath. Then, she gazed again at Jack, watching him rest, slowly closing ehr own eyes as he stroked her hair. She wasn't tired really, but then she was. And she'd never really slept well anyway, but perhaps a good rest would help things go smoother tomorrow. After all, the city of Gold was close; they'd all need their energy.*
*Feeling she was being watched, or looked at, she opened her eyes and steadied her view on Jack. Pondering over going back to the camp or not, she thought. Well, she rather liked being alone with him, and definitely near him...but that could always be at the camp, and the others might be needing them back. They had been gone for quite a bit, as she suddenly realized...*
*She was pondering deeply now. She didn't want to leave such a scene as this, being with him, talking with him, everything happened in such a spot. But the crew might be worried...she sighed and used ehr arms to raise her up a bit, leaning over Jack with a bit of a sleepy look.*
"Well, since we won't be in need of any BIG privacy this time 'round, we might as well head back..."
*She smiled playfully.*
"Plus, the crew might be worrying over us....or better yet, doing something daft...so we'll 'ave to go check on 'em anyways..."
*Still she was hesitant. She didn't like the fact that there'd be a possibility she wouldn't get to spend the rest of the night with him anymore. Aye, she had to share, but I mean...not tonight at least, she wanted to be around him. Sending him a questioning glance as if to ask him what he thought, she tried to sort it out further.*
