A year has passed since the events concerning the gods of Greece. Since then Jack and the crew’s lives had been quite uneventful, well as uneventful as a pirate life can get that is. With a few new crew members, Jack has sailed his crew to hell and back, pillaging, plundering, and gaining quite the notorious reputation. However, one not so scheduled trip to England, and to Evelyn’s home town, has brought about a new treasure to seek, a new endeavor, and possibly the next great adventure for Jack Sparrow and those aboard the Black Pearl.
A map has been found, once believed to be lost to the infernos of a previous pirate raid. A map revealing the location of a treasure TOO good to pass up, despite the warnings of a curse within it, an entire city of gold is a bit hard to pass up. With the map both in Evelyn’s trusted memory, and in Jack’s hand his crew are ready to go to hell, quite literally, and back for a piece of this city of gold.
Meanwhile, Barbossa hasn’t missed a beat, and although he was beaten to the ultimate relic last time, this time it is HE who has the upper hand. Although Jack and crew know about the treasure, they remain oblivious to the true power resting there, the Dagger of Curunin, an ancient dagger that posses the power to send those it kills to the Underworld, a hellish purgatory until the ending of the world. Barbossa’s thirst for vengeance is all but insatiable, and it is for THIS reason Bossa also makes for Central America, hoping through simply wandering about he too can find this city of Gold and the dagger which would finally give Jack Sparrow his due.
When Barbossa finds Jack Sparrow also in the jungles however and learns of Evelyn’s knowledge as to the location of the gold he concocts an evil plan that would not only give him the way to the City of Gold, but also an edge in the never ending battle between Barbossa’s crew and Jack’s. It’s a scramble and tangle to riches and relics…with not only eachother to compete with, but also the jungles themselves who also have threats within them that neither crew has even begun to prepare for…
Rules:
1. no spamming 2. ALWAYS STAY IN CHARACTER 3. NO cursing!!!! 4. Common curtesy is a must 5. NO GODMODING (unless otherwise stated) 6. have fun maties
-Plot credited to Evy and Bossa
Current Going Ons: crew has arrived, woot! Restocking with supplies, recruiting Will, getting kicked by a donkey......fun stuff...drink up me hearties yo ho!!

::Jack smirked more, if that was possible, then turned his voice into a rather business like tone::
"Well mate....we're going after an entire city of gold....can't pass up a adventure like that.....and we could use another good man on board....how about it? Equal share in whatever we manage to haul away?"
::His eyes glittered wildly at the very thought. It was quite a huge dream....so much gold that you could build a entire city of it...it had been to much of a good idea to not want to go....despite the dangers...Jack hadn't become a legend by playing it safe....he took risks.......::
::There was a saying Jack lived by. "A ship is safe in a harbor. but that's not what a ship is built for." Jack lived up to that saying to the letter.::
::and now here he was, convincing his dead friend's son to go on a wild treasure hunt with him and his crew......never once did it occur to Jack that not everyone lived and breathed for treasure......gold, sliver or otherwise.::
"We'll be leaving at the next high tide......early morning, before dawn....you up to it?"

/ sorry for my late entrance but here I am!/
Lily Belle walked off the ship like everyone else, more or less happy to be on solid ground for a short time. There were things she wanted to buy, places she wanted to see and people to meet. she'd hoarded her last handful of gold coins for this. she'd get more later. But right now she needed things.
First things first. Pirate though she was, she was still a lady and wanted some new clothes. It was the one thing she was vain about. In any case they were basically modified men's clothing.
She had walked into a taylors's shop, and asked to be suited up in breeches, a new shirt, a new vest and asked where she might find a new pair of boots. The taylor had stammered and asked Lily if she wouldn't care to try the lady's shop across the street. Lily had smiled and answered politely that she was in fact sound of mind and wanted her eariler request.
The taylor nodded and got to work, basically adjusting the fit of already made men's clothing to suit a lady's build. He told her to come back in two hours and he'd have them finished. Lily nodded and made a promise to pay in gold. The man had looked utterly happy.
But his suggestion of the ladys store had not gone un noticed. She went and brought a varity of silk, in yards to use as sashs. The ladies working in the store made tisking sounds but agreeded to hem the silk up for Lily.
Then it was off to find boots. She found a pair that suited her bought them on the spot and went about to resupply her own personal things. odds and ends here and there. When she was done she went back to the taylors.
He handed her two pairs of black breeches, two shirts. one crisp new white the other a blood burgundy. A vest as well, made from leather and stiched with red thread. Lily smiled, showed she was pleased and handed the man three gold coins, more then enough.
The man gibbered it was a bit much, but Lily on shrugged.
"You do good work. I might come back to you again. Thank you" she could be very generous when she was in a good mood. Then it was off to the ladies's store where she picked up her silk sashes. One of a ink black, another red and the last a bright sea blue.
she was very happy by the time she made her way back to the Black Pearl to drop off her things in her own cot. She stuffed her new belongings in a trunk and then headed back out to port again, looking for any of the crew to see what the plans where for leaving.

(( talked to Jack guys. hope this does work out.))
Roux sat calmly on the rail of the Black Pearl, having never moved once from his spot has the ship docked. Roux was in fact Apollo, a greek god. But in mortal form. And under the scrict rules of his father and the Fates to use none of his godly powers, unless he and only he alone would be effected. If not, he'd be stripped of his immortality. a fate he did not want.
Linea too, his now wife was a goddess. But under the same rules. And Zeus, in the wisdom he only used every so often erased the selective memories of Jack and his crew. They did not know immortals sailed with them. Roux was content to serve under another man, Jack had earned his respect. He would serve as a pirate until the last of this crew died.
and he'd not used his powers for nearly a year, save only in the morning when he woke before the sun rose and opened his eyes towards the dawn. The light would catch his eyes and just for a second he'd bathe in it's glow. and after that. business as normal for a pirate.
He was a handsome man, but calm. No real need to show violence unless it was to defend his friends. And he stayed on the ship, guarding it and nodded as Lily came on board, then left. He watched his captain's ship, and enjoyed the time spent like this, alone, and silent.
The sun was still high in the sky and Roux's eyes turned upwards, reflecting the sunlight. He smiled. It was a fine day to be alive and a pirate.

* Maria saw no one as she peered out the window. She felt a slight bit of relief as she let go of the curtains as they closed back into place. She leaned her back against the wall as she crouched down. After taking one more peek she stood up and brushed herself off of the dirt she had gathered from crouching. Her eyes wandered the shop as she walked around staring at the already made guns in their casings. Her fingers brushed against the wooden panelings of each box as she glanced inside. The barrels were polished so that her reflection could be seen at first glance, clear and crisp. She took out her 4 year old pistol and turned it over many times, studying its aged beauty. She looked once more at the newly made pistols and said to herself*
" What beauties..."

:Linea had been sleeping below decks when they docked, but dressed quickly and headed up on deck as they were docked. As she walked up on deck dressed in soft tan breeches and a loose silver shirt with a navy blue sash the sunlight struck her emerald eyes and she smiled. For those who saw her, they would think she was unarmed, but that was not so. She had six daggers hidden on her, one on each wrist in sheaths concealed by her shirt, one in her belt, one in each boot and another in the small of her back. Linea didn't usually go around with her sword attached to her hip, but she did own one, and knew how to use it. As she looked around, she had noticed the newcomer and was interested to get to know her, but she quickly made her way off the ship and into town.:
What a beautiful day, she thought to herself.
:Looking around more closely, she smiled largely as she saw Roux standing on deck near the railing. As she looked at him, she thought to herself again and giggled.
Ahh my dearest husband, as handsome as ever. Yes, we may be gods and bound by many rules, but we are together and are happy. Which I am certain is better than not. Ahh he's smiling, must be in a good mood.
Taking large strides, she made her way over to him and hugged him from behind.:
How are you dear? Does the day fare well for you?

Roux smiled at Linea.
"The sun rises and I have you. how could the day be if not fair and beautiful as you?"
He touched a few stray wisps of her hair and smiled. As long as Linea was near him he could withstand anything. His beautiful goddess of the sunset. but most importantly, the lady whom he loved above many.
He took one of her hands, kissed it then gestured out at Port Royale. "you're not going? You don't want anything there? have anything to do? It'll be a while before Jack sails us back to land again." He said thoughtfully.

:Linea smiled up at Roux as he spoke to her.:
My dear, if you keep speaking like that to me, I'll become spoiled, but I am happy as well.
:She smiled brightly. She loved him deeply and wouldn't leave him willfully. When he took her hand and kissed it, she giggled and took his hands in both of hers, squeezing them lightly. As Roux spoke of Port Royale, she thought for a moment.:
Hmm, maybe I shall go for a walk in a bit and see the sights. It has indeed been a long while since I have been here. Will you be going into town as well my love? Or will you be staying on board just relaxing?

Selina looked down at the man as he squirmed and spilled everything he knew. She smiled with satisfaction, Barbossa had a unique way of getting people to talk. When he explained about a certain dagger Selina lifted a brow.
"Why DIDN'T you or your men take the dagger?" Selina asked gruffly as she stepped forward and kicked the man a bit in the side, reminding him of the physical pain that he could face should he not answer. "Because...erm...only ONE may weild it. The ONE who is powerful enough to weild such a power." The young man spoke as he looked to both of them curiously, hoping they'd buy his story.
Selina smirked slightly. "An entire city of gold...that would explain why there are SO many Spanish Cargo ships heading away from the America's..." Selina said almost to herself. Her eyes drifted out to the seas and a hunger, a lust, a greed grew within her. "Barbossa, WE...I mean...YOU can claim it. I know you could. Why don't WE embark on this little journey? If the little worm is lying then, well, we really have not a thing to lose really. Imagine...a city of GOLD! We...I mean...YOu, you'd be immortal." Selina spoke hoping the Captain would heed her word and decided to embark upon this journey.

Post by Captain Morgan Barbossa on Jul 30, 2004 16:31:45 GMT -5
::The boy smiled slyly. It seemed his plan was working perfectly. Having spent his entire life around pirates such as this Barbossa had taught him a thing or two about vanity. The fastest way to a pirates heart is through his ego::
"Aye, captain. The ancient gods who guard the dagger will only present it to a man worthy of its power. A strong-willed, handsome, commanding leader...much like yourself, Senior." ::Another sly grin, and he knew he had once again lied his way out of death. There was no point in telling Barbossa about the curse that had killed everyone in his crew save him....no point in warning him about the wrath of the ancient gods. He would get the end he deserved - assuming he could even make it to the city alive, of course. Perfect::
"Selina, ready th' crew.We s't sail immediately," ::Barbossa ordered, not turning his attention from the boy::
"Barbossa...? So you mean to head for El Dorado then?"
"Aye. We'll go aft'r the gold, an' this Dagger. 'f it really exists, jus' think o' the power I'd 'ave!"
::Selina remained skeptical::"But....how are we supposed to find a city that can't be found??"
::Barbossa smirked:: "Leave that ta me, Selina. Aft'r all, I be the great Cap'n Morgan Barbossa! 'f anyone c'n find this bloody city, it'll be me!"
::Rolling her eyes, Selina turned to go back to the ship. All they knew was that their destination lay somewhere nestled in the jungles of Central America. No doubt this would prove an interesting voyage...::
::As soon as she had gone, Barbossa narrowed his eyes at the boy at his feet, who suddenly began trembling:: "C-captain...Barbossa...?"
::Barbossa smiled and raised his pistol back to the boy's forehead, pressing the cold barrel against his skin:: "PLEASE! N-NO!!" ::he cried out. This wasn't supposed to happen... he'd told Barbossa everything!::
"Thankee kindly fer yer services, lad, but as ye c'n imagine, I don' want this infermation gettin' around. Say hello ta yer mum an dad fer me."
::With that, he pulled the trigger of the pistol, sending the boy's limp body flying back into the far wall before it crashed into a pile of crates. It would be a while before anyone missed him, no doubt, and by then the blood on the pier would have been washed away. Amazing how easy murder can be....::
::Barbossa calmly wiped the crimson blood from his gun, hand and shirt, and glanced up at the stormy sky. Looks like they'd have to stop in Tortuga before they set out on the real journey. Kicking the dead boy's abandoned hat into the water, the pirate captain cooly turned, and headed for his ship::

Mark was drowsily walking down the street when he heard someone talk to him. He turned to the voice and saw a woman. He wasn't in the mood to talk. He just wanted to get home and get some much needed sleep.
"Hello there. Sorry ma'am but I can't really talk right now. You look like you're part of Jack's crew, maybe I'll see you at dinner later?"
Mark continued down the road to his house. It was a small house with two rooms. One room was a bedroom where his mother spent most of her time. It wasn't anything to be thrilled about, but it kept the elements outside. He opened the door and called to his mother to let her know it was him. He walked over to the couch and fell on it and quickly went to sleep.

*Will grinned over at Rose and he laughed, shrugging a bit.* No, there's nothing wrong with a lot of Sparrows aboard a ship...its when you get a bunch of them in a town...thats the problem. *He winked, glancing at the pistol she unveiled that Mark had given her. His eyes went back to Jack as the Captain began to speak of why he was here and at the mention of going to an entire city made of gold Wills eyes went wide. Unlike his friend he wasn't one to go looking for treasure on purpose...that is unless it was stolen and mistaken for him. However the journey itself did sound alluring and he could certainly use some time away from Port Royal. He liked the calm life but it helped to have a bit of chaos every now and then to keep someone sane. Finally he grinned and gave a confirming nod.* Count me in, mate. Even I'm not dumb enough to pass up going to the city of gold. *He laughed.*

*Eric raised a brow as Evelyn mentioned something about how she hadn't found anyone and how she wasn't a wench.* I never said that you were one, Evelyn. *He stated dryly. He had insulted her about her past once before when he was angry with her, or hurt by her he didn't know which. Maybe both. But he never did think of her as a wench, nor would he ever. As she spoke about Elinor he folded his arms and cocked his head back in an annoyed fashion, looking at her again once she stopped shouting. He knew she was right, nothing he could say or do would make her think any differently of Elinor.* Just don't hate her for the wrong reasons alright. *He stated, eyeing her. He watched as she shoved the crate past Elinor, bumping into her and he rolled his eyes and muttered beneath his breath. As he shoved the second crate out behind her he paused and turned to Elinor who was giving a rather hateful glare to Evelyn.* We're going to go take these down to the docks alright. Wait here and I'll walk you home when I get back. *He stated. She crossed her arms and looked at him.* I do not like that woman. Not in the least bit and if you intend on walking back here with her I think I'll find my way back home by myself. *She stated angrily through clenched teeth. Eric placed his hands on her arms in an attempt to calm her down. He glanced at Evelyn for a moment then back to her.* Elinor, just...please wait here alright? *He said, his eyes pleading with her. She stared at him for a long moment then sighed heavily.* Alright, I'll wait for you here. I suppose I can put up with her so long as I still get to be near you. *She said, smiling at him. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and walked over to sit on a nearby bench. Eric gave her a nod and then went back to the crate, pushing it quickly to catch up to Evelyn. When she mentioned the necklace he cringed a little and refused to look at her. He didn't even answer her he just kept pushing the crate. He grunted when she said he fit in and he shrugged a bit. He was never really sure if he did but no one ever gave him trouble around here, that was fitting enough. At her next set of questions his brows lifted in surprise and he blinked, unsure of what to say for a moment.* Well...I...I like it here I guess, its a nice town. Calm most of the time. But I gave up trying to be happy a long time ago. Now it seems my job is just to make other people happy. *He said, glancing back in Elinors direction out of the corner of his eye. He did care about Elinor but whether or not she made him happy....like he had been once....he wasn't sure. He lost himself in thought when suddenly he heard that voice again, the Spanish accent and his eyes darted up. As soon as his dark gaze landed on Luis, flashbacks of that night in Tortuga flooded his mind and he glared hatefully. Then he stood up and gasped.* I wouldn't hit her! Which is more than you could say. *Eric growled, unable to believe that this man was accusing him of things that Luis did himself. When the man addressed him and glared at him, Eric glared back and took a step forward. He was certain Evelyn wouldn't leave alone with this man and so he grinned a little.* You really think she'll talk to you alone? *He grunted, glancing over at Evelyn with almost a hopeful look on his face. He didn't trust this man and he never would.*

Evelyn looked up as Luis approached she muttered under her breath a bit as he spoke but she smirked. There was no way he'd catch her off gaurd this time. Just as she was about to yell back at Luis she stopped and looked to Eric as he spoke for her. She glared at him briefly and then looked back to Luis.
True, she hated the man, but at the moment she wanted to spite Eric more than anything and besides...NO ONE speaks for Evelyn but herself. She looked to Luis and shrugged. He looked exactly the way she remembered him from the Devil's Wrath. She turned to Eric. "YOU don' talk fer me, alright?" She told him sternly lifting a brow. Then she turned back to Luis. "Alrigh', I can give ye FIVE minutes...an' it better be worth my time...an' while we're at it yer buyin' me a drink." Evelyn stated as she nodded her head sternly.
She looked back to Eric briefly and looked to the crates. She dusted her hands off and looked about. "But NO bloody funny business, savvy?" Eve said as she lifted a brow and pointed at Luis. Luis simply smiled at her and lifted his arms signaling he wouldn't be out to harm her.

*Eric was still giving Luis a smug look when suddenly, Evelyn took the man up on his offer. Eric gasped and looked at her completley shocked. He reached out, placing his hand on her shoulder as he eyed her.* You're going to trust this guy after all that he's done to you? *He cried, quickly pulling his hand from her shoulder. He shook his head and shoved past Luis hard as he made his way back to his crate. He figured by the looks of it he was going to have to get these in the harbor by himself. With one last glance back at Evelyn and the Spanish blighter he continued on, dumping the larger crate into the water followed quickly after by the second crate. They bobbed for a moment and then slowly sank, leaving nothing left to be seen on the surface but a few dozen bubbles. He stood on the edge of the docks with his hands folded in front of him and he sighed a little, wondering where he'd keep his clothes now. This hadn't exactly been the way he expected the day to end up. It was supposed to have been a simple day with him courting Elinor but now it was a rather difficult day with two dead bodies, a Spanish bloke who deserved to be a dead body, and a woman who probably wanted Eric to be one at the moment. With a shrug he turned and pondered following Evelyn and Luis to wherever it was that they were headed, however he would have to make sure he wasn't spotted. Evelyn had enough things to yell at him about without adding eavesdropping to it. He glanced to his right and then to his left and casually slipped his hands in his pockets and started to whistle as he made his way back towards the other two.*
