* Maria walked outside and glanced around the flooded streets. She started to walk back to the docks. No sign of officers so far. She now was able to see the Pearl again. It looked so regal waiting off shore, almost if it was a ship of the queen. She paused for a moment and looked around her. She took out a shiny new pistol she had taken from the smithery. She grinned as she ran her fingers over its silver handle. She then took out her old pistol. She merely glanced at it then put it back into her pocket.* " If I should see its maker, I'll be sure to pay him.." * Maria said reffering to her newly made pistol. It wasn't probable she would actually see its maker, but that was the reason she said it in the first place.*
* Chris had just served his last customer as his shift was almost through. He washed the last of the dishes and threw the rag over his shoulder as he collected all the empty mugs around the still occupied and crowded pub. ' 'ello chris..' one woman said to him smiling with s flattering smile. He smiled back but wanted none of her intentions. Ot was just something he did on reaction. He picked up his weekly tender from the boss and exited the pub. He started down the street to his flat when he spotted the young girl who entered his pub. She seemed to be fonding over a silver pistol in her hand. He ran up to the lass and grinned as he stood in front of her*
" Hello.."
* She looked up when she heard the sound of footsteps coming toward her. It was the bartender she had met before. He said hello to her cheery and warm.*
" What do you want?" * She said trying to hide her new pistol.*
* Chris had seen her hide the pistol in her hilt. He smiled and pointed to her hand* " What's that stolen?"
" No!"
* She snapped then softened her expression for fear of him being suspicious.*
" I've 'ad this..."
* Chris knew she was bluffing by jumpy reaction. He smiled and looked around. His grey-blue eyes caught glimpse of a ship so magnificent he wasn't sure if it was allowed to be seen by his eyes* " Wow.." *Chris walked closer to the docks to take a better look*
* When Chris noticed the Pearl Maria couldn't help but smile. It was infact a beauty and the fastest ship in the Caribbean*
" Oh yes the Pearl, beauty ain't she?"
* Chris looked over his shoulder to the girl* " Indeed.." * He paused with realization and turned to the young girl* " Do you sail on the Pearl? You did mention Sparrow before. Did you not?"

Evelyn looked at Eric as he placed his hand upon his shoulder. What was he doing touching her? Eve pulled away from him a bit and then grunted at him in reply, "Well...people change Eric, YOU should know better anyone tha' that's true." Eve huffed as she headed off and joined Luis. She bit her lip as she followed the man into a busy Tavern, it was a bit better, but it was still filled with drunken people. She weaved her way through the crowd but settled upon sitting in the corner of the room near the door.
She rubbed the back of her neck a bit and then looked up at Luis. "Alrigh', ye got five minutes, savvy? An' if ye think fer ONE second I'll be givin' into yer charms, then yer bloody wrong!" Evelyn told him as she brushed a curl away and felt her swollen eye again. She sighed heavily and wondered a bit if Eric left to go back to Elinor. He probably had and she shrugged it off. She just hoped she wouldn't be seeing him again, seeing him once was bad enough.
Her honey eyes stared around the Tavern and she ordered herself a rum and Luis paid for it. "Right...yer five minutes start now, use 'em wisely." She told him with a small sly grin.

Luis stared Eric down as he spoke to him angrily and he gave him a mocking grin as Evelyn accepted the offer. As Eric left Luis gave him a sly grin and simply said, "Can' win 'em all." He said as he walked off with Evelyn. He was a bit nervous about Eric, really. The man seemed attached to Evelyn in some way, even if at the moment they weren't too happy with eachother. Still, this is something he could use to his advantage. He KNEW she was doing this to merely spite Eric so he would need to really attempt to win her over at this moment.
"Evelyn," he began as they sat. Suddenly she ordered a drink and he paid for it, reluctantly. "Alrigh', Evelyn, listen to me. I wish to apologize." He began. "For EVER hurting you. I did not mean to. I, I was in a different place then." He said looking around the tavern once. His dark eyes locked onto hers, trying to convey sincerity to her. "I really, honestly cared for you." He spoke as he slowly reached a hand over to hers. Evelyn caught this but did not move for the moment. He thought perhaps she expected him to touch her and would make him pay for it.
Luis pulled it back. "But, that is besides the point, I do not expect you to forgive me, or to hold me as highly as you once did. Evelyn...I DID care for you, deeply, but you must know I truly did not believe we would fit together, you were....a pirate...and..." he could see he was causing Evelyn to become angry so he simply gave her a charming grin. "But, again. It was my fault, completely, I deserved what I got in Tortuga a year ago and worse. But I have changed. I no longer serve Spain. I am a free man and have found my heart belongs elsewhere." He said these words and looked directly at Evelyn.
"Ahem, I will not lie, I regret ever hurting you and I DO wish you would forgive me, but I know that will not happen. However, I DO ask that you simply accept me, I would like to join Jack's crew. I hear he has the best crew in the Caribbean, and once I heard YOU were part of it I KNEW it to be true." He told her giving her a wink. Evelyn seemed to smile just a bit and he knew he was getting to her. "Please, simply, allow my presence, tolerate it, I will not bother you or talk to you at all if you do not wish me to, all I ask is to be amongst your presence. To be part of the best pirate crew in the Caribbean. Please, Evelyn. You will be giving me a second chance in life." He told her as he leaned forward and stared at her deeply.
"Please." His voice was pleading now and he gave her a charming smile hoping his groveling had done the job. "Besides, people change, as you said, and I have. If ANYTHING I do displeases you upon the ship, please, feel free to toss me overboard if you must..." He told her as he slicked back his hair a bit. "Just...give me a chance..."

*Eric watched from a safe distance as the two slipped into the tavern and he hurried after them, slipping inside as well but making sure he was kept hidden in the shadows of the dimly lit place. He listened to them speak and his dark eyes flickering with hate watched Luis. As the man spoke he felt his jaw clench and it took all that he had not to go over there and really let him have it. He couldn't believe he was trying to appologize about all he had done to Evelyn by using an excuse like 'He was in a different place then'. Eric wondered if she would accept the appology and then found himself wondering if she had ever forgiven him for the way he acted towards her and the things he had said to her that night on the Pearl. Obviously she hadn't, or she wouldnt be acting like this towards him. He watched as Luis brought his hands towards Evelyns and he sighed when the man pulled it away again. There was just something about seeing her with this man whom he hated that she once cared about that didn't sit well with him. The more Luis spoke the more Eric found himself relating to the words....many of these things he had said to her as well right before he left. However when the man said he wanted to join Jacks crew he felt his heart sink and he shook his head annoyed. He hoped Evelyn wasn't buying this, Eric could see right through him. When the man leaned in towards her, Eric thought he was trying to kiss her and he quickly looked away. He wasn't sure why but he knew he couldn't stand to see it if she kissed this man. But then, he wondered if she would slap him and this he wanted to see so his eyes drew back to them. He shook his head slowly and leaned forward, almost as if he were in susepence waiting for her answer.* Don't give it to him, Evelyn. *He whispered. However finally he couldn't take it any longer and he jumped up, hurrying over to them. His eyes darted between them and then landed on Evelyn.* Evelyn, you can't believe- *He began but was quickly cut off by a loud but lady like voice which was all to familiar to him.* Eric luv there you are! I have been looking all over for you. I thought you said you wouldn't come into places like this anymore. *She stated, rushing over to him. She looped her arms through his as she glanced about with disgust then she spotted Evelyn.* Oh, well no wonder. *She smirked, then smiled sweetly back at Eric, leaning into him and resting her head upon his shoulder, all the while watching Evelyn. She had a feeling this woman was apart of his past and she was going to everything in her power to keep her there...in the thoughts of his past where she belonged. Eric glanced down at her and cringed a little, knowing she was going to make this situation worse but let her stay anyways.*

Evelyn sighed heavily as she looked at Luis. His words sat unevenly with her, she didn't want to take them in really, she wanted to get up and leave, to tell him to get the hell away from her, but she would hear him out. Evelyn decided she wouldn't put herself to Luis' level and she'd at LEAST hear him out. As he spoke however, he sounded gentle...his voice was comforting and Evelyn found this odd. For a long time while she was on the Devil's Wrath Luis' voice had calmed her greatly. She could remember like yesterday how he would tell her things would be alright. He DID comfort her a lot in those times. It had been HIM who had reminded her of how great the world was.
Evelyn sighed heavily. She looked up at Luis and she looked deep into his eyes. Deep down, she could see there was a sincerity in him and she bit her lip. "But...ye bloody hit me Luis." Evelyn told him a bit angrily. To this Luis seemed to only look at her with an apologetic expression. He was almost groveling really. "Listen mate..." She was about to tell him no, that she wasn't ready to have him aboard the same ship as her but she hesitated. This was a chance to take a higher road, Evelyn didn't do this much, but she was feeling as if she had had enough angry feelings in his life. Maybe he HAD changed, and if not, she could always take pleasure in sending him to Davy Jones' locker.
Just then Eric came over and Evelyn raised her brows. "Eric?" Evelyn asked as she looked him over. "What the bloody 'ell?" She furrowed her brows a bit but inwardly she smiled. He had been spying on her, he had to have been to be protesting like this. Just then a familiar voice spoke up and Evelyn looked around to see Elinor walk in. Evelyn rolled her eyes as she called him luv and then growled a bit. "Gah...what are ye his bloody nanny?!" Evelyn barked at her as she suddenly stood from her table. Luis stood as well and she looked to Luis. Then in a burst of pure anger for Eric at the moment, she responded quickly. "Welcome aboard Luis, but NO funny business, I swear I won' hesitate ta toss ye overboard, understood? Besides, we need another set of strong arms aboard." Evelyn told him with a slight smirk.
When Elinor had looked her over a bit disgusted Eve clenched her fists. "Oh don' YOU bloody give me another WRONG look!" Evelyn shouted as she stalked forward, wanting to hit the woman square on the nose. At this Luis jumped however, and held Evelyn back. "Evy, no, not here. If you hit her, imagine the trouble you would get into." Luis told her calmly. He grabbed Eve about the waist as she lunged forward and then growled at her. "YOU bloody keep away from me! Ye HEAR!?" Evelyn looked at Luis and then took a few deep breaths trying to calm herself.
"Le's jus' bloody leave...I can' STAND that woman." Evelyn growled as she shoved past Elinor and headed out trailed closely behind by Luis. Luis passed Eric and gave him a flashing grin, satisfied that Evelyn had completely stormed away and that HE was leaving with her.

*Elinor narrowed her eyes at the womans comment about her being a nanny though she kept her place against Eric.* And what were you, his maid? *She smirked, turning her nose up to the woman. Eric was surprised by the way he saw Elinor today for normally she was in the best of manners, but then again she was usually surrounded by people of her own wealth. His eyes quickly shot away from her however when Evelyn accepted Luis' proposal to come on board the Pearl. His jaw dropped and he couldn't believe what he was hearing. Elinor gasped as Evelyn yelled at her again and seemed ready to hit her.* Why I never! You see, Eric why I don't come into these places now. They are so unkempt and full of people who are up to no good. *She stated. As Evelyn stalked forward, Eric grabbed Elinor and put her behind him. Despite her mouth and insults he didn't want to see her get hurt. And he knew damn well that Evelyn could easily take her down. As she stormed off Eric watched her go and then he scowled at the look upon Luis' face.* Don't think you're getting rid of me so easily mate. *He growled and then grabbed Elinors hand, ready to take her back home before she got herself into any more trouble. As he drug her out of the tavern she stumbled after him, tripping over her dress a bit and nearly falling down.* Eric, my goodness slow down! Im about to trip and fall, I dont want to ruin my dress it was expensive! *She exclaimed. He glanced over at her and glared.* Oh and wouldn't that be a shame. *He hissed. Her face instantly changed and she lowered her eyes and frowned, suddenly causing him to feel bad. He stopped in his tracks and grabbed her waist, looking her over for a moment though she refused to look at him.* Ah, Im sorry, Elinor. I've just...this has been a really bad day for me. *He appologized. She looked up at him and smiled weakly, nodding her head. Then she sighed, grabbing his hand again as they continued on back towards her house.* I understand...I just wish she wouldn't have come and interupted us. I've been waiting for that moment for a very long time you know. *She said softly. Eric nodded.* I know *He said simply. As they arrived to her doorstep she lingered there a moment then turned and looked him firmly in the eye.* You dont have to tell me about her but I do want to know one thing Eric. Did you love her? *She asked, not even seeing how that could be possible. Eric could only stare at her, unable to bring himself to say anything and then finally he took a deep breath.* I need to go, Elinor. *He stated quickly and turned and rushed off swiftly, heading to no where in particular just walking ahead.*

Rose grinned and poked Will playfully, nodding. "'S always fun, goin' on a new adventure...'m sure you'd 'njoy it." Her eyes were alight with anticipation, eagerly awaiting the new adventure. "'n entire city o' gold...I can' wait, 's gonna be excitin'...an' an ol' crew member back." She poked Will again, and added, "An' a new one too...this'll shape up t'be one of our biggest trips yet, methinks!"

Sarah stood around the corner from Maria and the man she was talking to, she listened to them silently, waiting for a time to show herself. She heard them marveling over the Pearl and couldn't help but speak. I'd say she's the best one out there. Sarah then turned and walked towards this, grabbing Maria's new pistol. I do believe I saw this in a store yesterday, now where did a pirate like you come up with this sort of money? Sarah grinned and shook her head.

* As Sarah took the pistol Maria reached her hand to try to graps it but failed.* " We'll there must be two made, 'cause I've 'ad this.." * She grinned taking it back* " 'ow are you Sarah? Doing Well?"
* Chris turned to the girl who came from the corner as she grabbed the lass' pistol. He wondered if the lass knew her. As she seemed to be acquainted.*

After a time Mark awoke to the sound of his mother's voice she was calling to him. He quickly got up and went to her room.
"What it is mother? Is everythin' okay?"
Mark asked quietly
"Nothing wrong dear. I just wanted to know how your day went, that's all. Sorry if I startled you"
She said grabbing his hand. She drew him close, and he sat at the edge of the bed.
"My day was hardly worth talking about I am afraid. I had more customers than usual. I ended up giving away two guns...cause I'm and idiot. I ended up givin one to a lady cause I....cause I.....I got caught up in her, you know what I mean? Then I gave another away to a beauty that had my heart the moment I layed eyes on her, though I can gurantee she doesn't feel the same way. She seems kind of cold to the world, I don't know what it is. I can't even say why I really have these feelings for her mother. I suppose that this sounds odd to you?"
Mark began to pour his heart out in that bedroom. His mother listened, and a smile spread across her pale face.
"I know how you feel. When I first saw your father, God bless him, I fell in love with him then and there, only I think it was the same for him. I suppose that if you keep talking to her, she will realize how you feel, and maybe she'll warm up to you. Love works in strange ways my boy. Perhaps Cupid missed his mark on this one...who knows. Just follow your heart my boy.....just follow your heart."
She said with a wise voice. Mark often seeked counsel from his mother on matters of love. He was usually girl crazy, but this time he felt something that he believed was true love. He didn't really know. Perhaps it was just a feeling and nothing else. He didn't know.
"Oh yes, I was invited to Will Turner's house for dinner, so I will make you something before I go, unless you want to come? I don't think they would mind another guest."
Mark said with a smile
"No....I am afraid I can't go with you. You go and enjoy yourself. I didn't get much sleep last night, so I think I will try to catch some while you are gone."
The old woman said with a smile. Mark kissed her on the cheek and left the room to make her some dinner. He did the best he could with what they had. He made some stew with biscuts and a cup of tea. His mother loved tea. After that he prepared for his dinner at Will's house. He put on the suit that belonged to his father. When he looked in the mirror to see how it looked a chill ran down his spine. Almost the perfect image of his father. He held back a tear and walked to the couch and sat down. He still had time to kill.

" No I don't buy... I borrow, I'll be sure to hand the gentleman who made this pistol his tender when I see him.." * She smirked and put the pistol back into its holster. Maria noticed that Sarah noticed the man next to her.. Sarah had asked who he was and if he was part of the new crew..* " I'm actually not sure.." * She said glancing at Chris.* " What's your name?"
" I was just about to ask the same... The name is Chris Hughs my lady" * Chris formally bowed in return. Damn his gentleman instincts, sometimes it made him look like a fool. He stood up straight and turned to the lass.* " And who have I been speaking to?"
* The fact that he indeed bowed showed that he must have been a trianed gentlemen. Not many men did that these days. It made her giggle, but quietly so he wouldn't feel bad. ' And who have I been speaking to?' he asked. Maria stuck out her hand.* " Name's Maria, mate.." * She shook his hand firmly*
* Chris took Maria's hand and shook it. The girls grasp was forceful even for a girl who seemed to be only fifteen. He then turned to Sarah and smiled holding out his hand. * " And may I have your name?"

Evelyn left the tavern a bit heatedly and looked up and down the streets of Port Royale, crossing her arms as she looked ahead at the Black Pearl, still docked and safe. Evelyn sighed heavily. It had all passed so quickly and she barely even remembered Luis until he came up right next to her and spoke.
"Is that the Black Pearl?" He asked lifting a dark brow and looking towards the large, grand ship on the right side of the busy docks.
Evelyn nodded solemnly and then sighed heavily looking at him. "Aye, it is. Now, listen, jus' because I bloody said ye can join doesn' mean yer gonna go an' think WE can be friends, alright?" Evelyn asked him lifting a brow and placing her hands upon her hips.
Luis looked at her with wide eyes and gave a small chuckle. "I know, I know. I know its only by your gracious grace that I am here really." He told her with a soft, charming smirk. "I told you Evely, I do not expect you to be my friend, nor speak to me really, just tolerate me on the ship. I promise you won't have to speak at me at all if you do not wish to...I deserve nothing else really..." Luis spoke as his voice fell a bit.
Evelyn groaned a bit and looked him over. "Well, it's alright, ye can talk ta me Luis." She told him with a slight nod. "Right then, follow me." She stated as she headed over to the Pearl. There Evelyn showed Luis to a cabin, far from hers, and showed him around the ship. As he left her side to get his room settled in Evelyn went out on deck and saw Roux. She gave him a smile and a nod and then rested her arms upon the walls of the Pearl.
So much had happened today that she wasn't prepared for. It had all passed in a blur and she saw her hands tremble a bit at the shock of it all. Who WAS that woman with Eric? His fiancee? His WIFE!? Evelyn shook her head and groaned a bit. She should have stayed on the ship...she should have never left...
Evelyn sighed heavily again and looked about the ship. She might as well go find Jack...wanted to make sure the man wasn't getting himself into trouble. If he was caught, they'd ALL be in trouble.
So with that Evy left the ship and headed back into the crowd in Port Royale, weaving her way through the crowd a bit aimlessly, searching for Jack, hoping she'd find him NOT in a prison cell.

*Eric wandered aimlessly about the streets in Port Royal, his hands shoved in his pockets and his feet kicking at a rock in the dirt now and again. He sighed heavily, his dark gaze going out to the glass smooth horizon of the sea and thoughts of the days events rolling about in his mind. The day had become much more than he had intended it to, or even hoped for it to.* I should have bloody stayed in England. *He muttered beneath his breath. If he had he wouldn't be caught up in courting Elinor, nor would he have ever met Evelyn. Things would have been much eaiser that way but it couldn't be changed now. What was done was done, even if it left him confused and angry. How could she have invited Luis to join the crew on the Pearl? What if he hurt her...or the others? What if he was simply using her again? These thoughts, Eric quickly pushed aside. He tried to convince himself she was no longer his problem thus no longer needed to be his worry. Then an almost amused look came over his face as he began to recall the interactions between Evelyn and Elinor. He had never seen Elinor treat anybody like that, not even the less fortunate. Maybe it was because she usually stayed out of poor peoples buisness thus never got the chance to insult one of them until now...or maybe it was because she knew he had onced loved Evelyn. He wondered then why Evelyn had been so rude to Elinor. He grunted at this, figuring he already knew the answer. Finally he decided he'd go in search of Will, figuring the man was going to slip off into the horizon with the Pearl. Eric would need to know how long he would be gone so that he knew how many days he'd have to pick up the extra work load. As he was on his way he suddenly bumped into someone.* Oh, sorry about that. *He said, turning to see who it was he had hit. He raised a brow suddenly and crossed his arms.* Oh, it was just you. *He stated, almost bitterly after seeing who it was.*

Evelyn walked down the streets, hoping she would find Jack soon. Not seeing him around at the moment was making her nervous and she hoped she'd find him soon, out and about, and not in a cold cell. Her eyes were kept low, as she wasn't able to lift her head too high, thinking that a naval soldier who recognized her might be able to take her in REAL quick. She remembered what it was to be locked up, and she didn't want to be again.
Besides, Jack stuck out like a sore thumb, she doubted she needed to really SEE him anyway. Most likely she'd hear his incoherent rambling a mile away. Suddenly her thoughts turned and she thought of HIM. Evelyn groaned a bit.
What was he doing with that Elinor woman? And WHO exactly was she? It all made her sick to think about it really. He obviously didn't care for her anymore, or else WHY would he talk about her to Elinor so non chalantly, talking about them as if they were mere friends. AND he let that woman insult her time and time again! No...he obviously was moving on...but why so soon? Evelyn shook her head slightly as she walked quickly. Looking about briefly, she decided she'd head to the Blacksmith. Will Turner was there, and so Jack was BOUND to have stopped in to see him.
With that Evelyn turned the corner and headed down towards it when suddenly she bumped into something. Evelyn looked up and blinked. "Eric? Gah...'f all the blooyd people ta knock into!" Evelyn growled a bit. She dusted herself off a bit as she looked him over. "I see ELINOR's not with you. What happened? Did she dirty her dress?" Evelyn asked in a mocking tone. "An' I'll be expectin' an apology from you right about now. You SHOULD have been watching where you were goin'." Evelyn nodded sternly. Her eyes were cold as she looked at him.
She looked him over but his eyes were cold towards her, so she would return the same gaze. If he was going to act like an ass with her, than he'd be seeing her worst side yet.
