This will take place one year after the movie ends with Jack leaving Port Royal after his near hanging. Directly after the movie.....
Sometimes people should just keep their mouths shut. But well....Jack doesn't know what silence means....as Norrington has tried numerous times to impress upon the pirate......it's not working....a failed attempt at teaching a drunken pirate the rules of civility.....
Barbosa heard many things from Jack before the mutiny. One being about a treasure. A ancient Greek treasure. A Box of Immortality. It's what keeps the Greek gods.....well......gods....While sailing out of Tortuga on the Black Pearl Jack and his crew come across a tiny boat.
A greek craft...something that in itself is odd....and inside of it is a young lady. A beautiful lady. Jack, well...being Jack decides to take her aboard. The lady doesn't talk at first, but little by little they learn her name is Callisto, a greek girl from Athens.
She knows the location of this Box. Jack, being a pirate, not a damn hero wants the Box for himself. He doesn't realize that taking it can offset th balance of things in a unfavorable manner.......nor does Barbossa...who's after it as well. Two gods decide to "help". Apollo and Hermes......the rest, well they do not think they need the help of "mere mortals" to overcome something so ridiclous as this.
But Jack wants to live forever....so does Barbossa and the obession is to great to be reasoned with. Driving his crew into danger, Jack's ready to risk life and limb for the posibility of becoming a god himself. That and shot at being renamed the God of Rum.
Rules:
1. no spamming 2. ALWAYS STAY IN CHARACTER 3. NO cursing!!!! 4. Common curtesy is a must 5. NO GODMODING (unless otherwise stated) 6. have fun maties note: maties..this be a loose story plot...some things can change..but it's not likely....enjoy.....

::Jack nodded at Roux as the former god stood and he looked him over. Poor man. lost a lot. Jack offered him the flask of rum:
"Drink this. It'll help. or you'll be too drunk to care. Either way, not bad, eh?"
:With that Jack left the room brsikly leaving the others to either question Roux or help him recover. It was their choice.:
:his eyes spotted a island on the horizon line and he smiled. Seeing black sails near it. Yes. Barbossa was here. Jack smiled. Immortality mere hours away. He grinned to himself. A treasure indeed.::

:Linea watched him carefully as he stood up wanting to help him stand without wobbling. Though, if she did go to aid him, she was sure he wouldn't thank her. He needed to prove to himself he was still somewhat whole.:
I'm glad you're not thinking of leaving us, would be a sad day indeed. I am sure Jack won't take your life over what happened, he's a fair man, in a drunken stupoor, but fair.
:She smiled a little more at him as he was smiling at her. Wiping away what tears still were on her face she sighed. She reached to the small of her back, taking out one of her knives. It was probably the best she'd owned and loved. Knowing that he was now going to be fighting alongside them, she handed it to him.:
May it protect your life and those you choose to help through the days it is held in your possession. Keep it safe and close to you when the perils of darkness seek you.

Roux smiled oddly at the offered blade. "it's never occured to me that one day I might need to defend my life. It's always been a sure thing that I would live. As the sun rises."
He stopped suddenly and shook his head. "I wouldn't leave this crew even if it meant my life."
He bent down and kissed ehr forehead. "but I thank you. But I have never loved the sword for it's brightness nor an arrow for it's swiftness. I love only that which they can protect and preserve."
Roux stared stright at Linea when he made that statement and smiled. "I will be alright."

:Linea nodded as Jack walked out of the room. She planned to keep by Roux until she knew he was going to be alright. She didn't want anything further to happen to him. Blushing as he kissed her forehead and smiled.:
I'm glad that you won't leave, means a lot to us. As to the blade, I've no desire to shed blood, but if it will save me or those I love, I've no trouble using it. I do not take too kindly to seeing those I love fall into darkness because I couldn't help them.
:At his statement that he would be alright, she nodded as she took hold of his hand again and kissed it.:
I know you'll be alright, because you won't let yourself not be.

Roux studyed Linea's face a while weighing her words out and he nodded.
"lets go on deck. I don't want to be below without light. If I can not control the sun anymore at the very least I can feel it's warmth on my skin."
He gave the others a small smile a invitation to follow to show he was well or he would be soon. Then he took Linea's hand and went on deck .As the sun hit his face he smile it was still there. but not inside. But he could feel it's glow. he bathed in it. trying to recapture that lost warmth.

:Linea held his hand tightly as they made their way up on deck. As she saw the sun high above her, she took a look at Roux's face. He smiled she saw, but she knew it wasn't from his heart. He was staring at the one thing he knew all his life and when it went down, a coldness he'd not known would flare in him. She was sure of it. As she looked at it, she sent a small prayer to any god that was listening to make things right again. Make Roux whole so he can be at peace with himself. She didn't know how he'd be that night as he lay down to sleep, missing most of himself, trying to keep his wits about him. Linea loved him dearly, but she couldn't bring herself to let him live like this without trying to help him. She wanted more than anything to be happy, for him to be happy, but she knew, for all good things that happen, there is a price. As these thoughts flared in her mind, she was sure her face showed her displeasured frown. Quickly, she smoothed the crease that would probably be on her forehead and put on a smile as she looked at Roux again.:
Does the sun help a little to warm up your body again? Loosen the joints? Are you in any pain?
:She blushed at her words.:
I'm sorry Roux, I'm just worried for you. I don't mean to be a mother hen watching over her chicks with a wary eye. Very sorry.

Hawk had watched Hermes leave anxiously and had lingered as the others slowly left. However, when it was only Roux and Linea, he felt Rose's breath on his ear and turned. His sister had taken his wrist and was gently tugging him out of the room. Rolling his eyes, he followed.
"'S that all about?" he asked her in an undertone once they were back on deck.
"You saw those two," Rose retorted, grinning. "I don' wanna interrupt, d'you?"
"Rose, what about Hermes?"
Rose shrugged. "'E needs t'speak to 'is brother, doesn' 'e? We should wait 'til they've 'ad a chance t' talk."
Hawk frowned faintly. "If they're still brothers after that..."
Rose smacked her own brother's shoulder, making him wince. "Don' say that! Everythin'll be fine, don' worry." She said it in a strong tone that made her seem confident, but really, she was worried...what would happen?
Then, in a flash of golden dust, Hermes was standing between the twins. "Hermes!" Rose cried out, rushing towards him in concern. "What 'appened?"
Hermes looked completely thrown; his hat was askew, his face looked tired, and his eyes seemed to glimmer dimmer than usual. He appeared to have aged years - if gods aged - in mere minutes. Still, he smiled faintly and took Rose's hand when she came towards him.
Rose usually hated being touched by men; she had fought off quite a few in Tortuga when they had the mistaken impression that an orphan was also an easy woman. The only two she'd really allowed to show her physical affection were Hawk and Jack - after all, they were family. Still, when the god took her hand, she didn't argue, only continued looking at him anxiously.
Hawk noticed this and frowned at Hermes. True, the god was bound to both twins, but Hawk had settled into his role of protective big brother quite nicely. He couldn't allow this...
Hermes simply winked at Hawk, fully aware of the young man's concerns but not willing to put up with them. It was good to go from stern Olympus to his young charges...it made him feel considerably more wanted, especially after his meeting with his father.
"I need to speak with my brother," he said, his tired, serious expression returning. "Do you know where he is?"
"Last we saw 'im, 'e was..." Rose gestured to the closed cabin door, dropping Hermes's hand as she did so.
The god smiled, a tiny mischievous smile. "Would I be interrupting anything if I - " Then the door opened, and Roux and Linea walked out onto the deck. Hermes once again resumed his serious expression and floated over to Roux, glancing from him to Linea.
"If I may, my lady..." He bowed to Linea, feet still a few inches off the ground. "I must speak with my brother, a while, alone. You'll reclaim his full attention once we're finished, of course." Hermes never could turn entirely serious...

"It helps" Roux said softly. Then he shook his head. "I've had warmth inside me fo so long As long as I've been alive. since I've been born. it's like." Roux stopped considering his words carefully.
"It's like being without blood." he fumbled trying to make his meaning clear. "no heart in a way. because that." He gestured to the sun. "is my heart. it's me." He smiled at her. "and I'm not in pain. just a little sad."
And then there was Hermes. looking flustered and urgent. He smiled at Linea and walked a few paces away to stare at his brother. "Well? what news? What have I done to offend our Father?"#nosmileys

:Linea looked at Hermes's face and nodded. She let go of Roux's hand and gave him a tiny smiled.:
It's of no problem Hermes. Speak as long as need be, I'll go for a little walk and sit down a bit.
:Turning to Roux, she gave him a hug and tried to smile for him.:
It will be alright Roux, I hope it is anyway.
:With these last few words, she walked away quietly, with no more words to anyone and sat down at the other end of the ship just looking out over the water and thinking to herself.:
Things used to be so simple so long ago. Now, it seems that some things are not meant to be. Things happen that are not justified without any reasoning but the obvious, but yet not so obvious. Roux is in trouble, his loss of powers is proof of that and Hermes knows why. If Roux is forced to choose, I cannot let him make a decision he'd regret for the rest of his life. If he must make a decision, it will be the right one, whether or not he thinks so.

::Jack saw Hermes return and go to his two children....then to his brother to talk. He watched Linea a few moments but said nothing. Poor girl. His own eyes fell on his two children. ::
::He had children. He was still sort of getting over the idea itself. Rose and Hawk. The spitting image of him in some ways.and yet so much like their mother. Rose had Katrina's face there was no doubt there. So like her mother and yet she probably didn't have one drop of Katrina's sanity......:
:Hawk.well again looked like Jack..seemed a bit more like Katrina. A bit more sane in some ways. but it was doubtful the lad didn't have a fair share of his father's madness in him....:
: a perfect melding of Katrina and Jack had created these two spitfire pirates. Poor Caribbean.:

Hawk watched Roux and Hermes talking, with a small face. Then he noticed Rose slowly edging closer to the pair and grabbed her shoulder. "Rose! We gotta move away...you 'eard Hermes, 'e doesn' want anyone listenin'..."
Rose looked at him blankly. "'E didn' say that, did 'e?" she asked wickedly, slipping out of her brother's grasp. "Plus, I wanna know. 'E must tell th' rest of us sometime, aye?"
"Not necessarily!" Hawk snapped back, again attempting to stop Rose. "Rose, they're bloody gods, they could do somethin' to you!"
"They will not," Rose retorted scornfully. "Though if you keep makin' this much noise, they might...calm down, Hawk, I'm bloody fine." She finally moved casually close enough to Roux and Hermes to hear them, but just out of sight and just innocuously enough...
Hawk groaned. "I give up," he announced solemnly, walking over to Jack and throwing his hands into the air. "I bloody give up. If that girl ever gets married, I bloody don't envy 'er 'usband..."
Hermes of course knew Rose was listening, but he didn't much care. She wouldn't shout the information out - she was a trustworthy lass, even for a Sparrow. Slowly, he faced Roux and sighed deeply.
"This is hard to say," he began, his tone concerned and cautious. "I feel guilty...I've been here as well, helping, and nothing's been done...but I don't intend to stay, and I have no real ties, and..." He trailed off, took a deep breath, and faced his brother again.
"Father isn't pleased," he said shortly. "He says you've been spending too much time here...that you've abandoned your home. You've grown too used to life as a mortal...he says. You're too attached to the crew to make proper judgements. You're in love," he added, looking at Linea. "You have...ties. Father says those ties are hard to break, that you wouldn't be yourself if you came home."
Hermes fiddled with his hat as he continued. "Plus, there's the matter of the Box...Father says that as a god with ties here, you wouldn't be able to be impartial. You'd want to help your crew members. He says he cannot risk that happening...you making a flawed judgement because of your mortal affiliations." Hermes held up both hands. "His words, not mine. I tried to stand up for you...said I'd done the same. But he thundered at me...said I intended to come back, I hadn't made ties as strong, but if I liked he could make me mortal too." He looked uneasy. "I obviously didn't like that idea. So I left...
"I'm sorry," he added quickly. "I should have stuck up for you more...perhaps made more of an effort...had Father turn me mortal too..." His golden eyes shone with sad regret.

Roux's eyes flickered once. it wasn't as if he hadn't expected the news but. his Father? he'd always been a favorite. not that he preened and paraded that fact around but still it was a blow.
So much a blow that what Roux had in him seemed to melt away before Herme's eyes. leaving nothing but a shell. it was the shell that spoke out suddenly with defiance.
"If Father is fool enough to trust I would not remain loyal to my family after so many years!" He ranted. "Well after this, I suppose I am no longer His son, but just another mortal toy for him!"
Roux's voice shook and he seemed to crumble in on himself. "I'll stay where I'm wanted and needed then." He snapped angerily. it was a good few minutes before he collected himself. "no. you stay as you are, brother. At least one of us should. And if you chose to leave, then I will understand. no need for us both to lose the life we love."
He looked at his brother. "and I am loved. so you need not worry."

::Callisto's eyes snapped open as she walked along having been deep in thought. Apollo. what had happened to the much loved god. she could guess many reasons. But still..... Apollo?:::
::Softly she reached out with her mind to the Throne of Zeus, gently touching his mind. Asking, pleading for the god's life restored. She recieved a harsh reply that made her frown and she tried again. Would a father so lightly dismiss his son?:
::again a marsh reply. Callisto's mind hurled a furious answer back ,berating the King of gods and daring him to be a better man. no reply. Callisto grinned darkly and continued, waiting for an answer:

:Linea watched as Roux and Hermes exchanged words. She saw that some were a little heated as they both looked a little on edge. An answer to her questions welled up inside her and she knew. She knew it was because of his choice or pretty close to it. If she was right, she wouldn't be able to live with herself for his decision.:
If this has happened because of me, I cannot sit idly by. He must do what he was born to do. He is Apollo afterall, meant to soar with the sun, not living among mortals, feeling the sun on his face. He was the light of day, it filled him and thus filled us. There is no reason he should give it all up, none whatsoever. I won't let him, if it's because of me, I'm not worth it.
:She sighed and tried not to look at Roux as he stood angered and tears found their way to her cheeks once more. Wiping them away with the back of her hand, she looked out over the water once more, trying to lose herself in it.:
