*Will yawned and sat up slowly, rubbing his eyes as he heard shouting coming from one of the cabins. He raised a brow and wondered what was going on. It seemed that was happening a lot these past few days. He shook his head as he threw his legs over the edge of the bed and slipped his boots on, quietly as not to wake Eric. Slowly he rose and grabbed a large green apple from the small bowl on the table, pausing a moment to take a few bites out of it. A moment later he slid his sword and hatchet through his belt then scooped up a pistol and headed out on deck. He hurried over to the railing as he saw that they were nearing an island, and his eyes landed on the Pearl. He glarred.* Barbossa. *He growled beneath his breath. He hated the man with every ounce of passion in his body and found it amazing he had actually survived the shooting a year ago. Every time he laid eyes on the man, or thought about his twisted ways it made him cringe, reminding him of what happened to Elizabeth a year ago. He glanced over as he saw Tobbs and Jack and he trotted over to them.* Well, it looks like the wait is finally over! *He stated, not being able to help the fact he was growing rather excited for the fight.*
*Eric groaned and his eyes fluttered open as he heard the cabin door slam. He sat up and blinked at the bright sunlight streaming in through the small window and splashing over him. He sat there for a moment then yawned and slowly glanced over towards the bed. Will had already left.* Bloody bastard, next time I'm taking the bed. *He muttered, standing up and rubbing his back. He rubbed his eyes a bit and adjusted his clothes, grabbing up the sword and thrusting it through his belt. He heard a bit of shouting going on in a nearby cabin and he raised a brow, wondering at first if Evelyn was annoyed with someone. He chuckled a bit but recognized the muffled voices as Jack and Tobbs. He splashed some water on his face to wake him up a bit and was relieved by the fact his headache was gone. He was even more relieved by the fact that his sleep had been deep and still, void of dreams or nightmares, Ashley or Evelyn, or even his past. As he heard a bit more comotion on deck he trotted out to find much of the crew readying to go on land. He eyed the island a bit, amused by its beauty. He found it unsettling that this place would soon be spilt with the blood of both the good and the bad. As his eyes wondered the deck they landed on Evelyn and Will. Two people who he cared about most in the entire world. If he needed to he would protect them with his life. Slowly he cast his eyes up towards the heavens and he scowled a bit.* If you let them die, once I get up there, there's gonna be hell to pay. *He stated, then readied himself for the fight, walking over to Will. As he did he smiled over at Evelyn, giving her a wink as if to tell her he had her back, then he punched Will on the shoulder.* Im ready when you are, Will. *He said.*
*Will raised a brow and glanced at Eric as he punched him in the shoulder. He grinned and punched the man back in the arm, hard enough to tip him to the side a bit.* What? Do you plan on following me into battle? Afraid to fight alone are you? *Will teased, folding his arms.*
*Eric flashed Will an odd look as he tipped over but quickly regained his balance, then he returned the mischevious grin.* Scared to fight alone? Nah. Just don't want you getting killed. You're a bloody idiot when you fight man, Im sorry to say it but you are. *He stated, glancing at Jack as if the man would back up his statment. Then he looked back at Will and simply grinned smugly.*

Evelyn suddenly noted Eric came out and gave her a smile and a wink. Evelyn smirked at him. She looked on after him as he left her side and went to Will. She couldn't help but watch him with kind eyes, but as soon as she caught herself, she looked away. She couldn't do this to herself anymore...they were over with...the past...
Evelyn stared out at the ship and waited until they had anchored. Looking back she could see Jack coming out on deck and decided that the crew was ready to go. Off in the distance, beyond the white beaches, Evelyn could see Barbossa's crew and she made to follow.
As they passed the anchored Pearl however, Evelyn felt a strong presence and looked towards it. Her mother's necklace! She had forgotten it aboard the Pearl and she needed to get it back. Looking to Jack's crew she blinked and then groaned "Argh, might as well go for it..." Evelyn decided it'd be best she got it now, then later, for if they happened to lose this battle, she wasn't going to lose her mother's necklace as well.
Rushing up to the ship she made haste to retrieve it, knowing she'd be needed in battle soon. As she ran towards her cabin though, she blinked to find someone still in there. Quickly Evelyn drew her sword and shouted at him. "Get out o' my bloody cabin!"
The man stood there and Evelyn lifted a brow. Her sword was pointed at him, but for some reason, she felt the need to lower the blade...looking at him was almost entrancing, hypnotizing...
Damien had been pacing Selina's room anxiously since the crew had left earlier that day. Being what he was, there was no way he could have gone with them out into the daylight, so he was forced to remain here. Alone. But then suddenly he heard footsteps in the hallway outside the room....perhaps he wasn't alone after all....At first, he almost mistook the quick paced, light steps to be those of Selina. Yet the closer she got, the more obvious it was that this person was not his beloved Selina. There was something different about her aura... Suddenly wary, Damien crept closer to the door, preparing to defend himself if need be. Then the door swung open and...
"Evelyn Pearl?!" he shouted, taken aback. He'd never seen her before, but she was the spitting image of the descriptions Selina had given him. And now here she was, his lover's hated nemesis, looking as surprised and frightened as any one of his victims. He smirked evilly, and stepped closer.
"Hmmhmm...this ought to be fun...." His eyes were suddenly a deep crimson, and his fangs began to protude over his bottom lip as he approached her.
Evelyn quickly tried snapping herself out of the immediate fear she felt and stepped back. "Back away from me!" Evelyn cried as she raised her blade at him. Evelyn backed up and hit the wall with her back. This was it...she was alone. Her eyes scanned him over and her blood ran cold. What was he?
His fangs portruded and it was all Evelyn could do to keep from yelping. She breathed in heavily and blinked. "Stay back, I swear, I'll bloody scream! Jack's crew will come fer me!" Evelyn told him angrily. Her hand shook a bit but she gave him a confident smirk, trying to hide her fear.
Damien laughed cynically. "You'll call for your crew? I'm sorry, dear Evelyn, but I somehow don't think they'll hear you..." He ran an icy finger along her jawline and grinned. "You and Selina actually bear an odd resemblance to one another. Ironic, wouldn't you agree? Your hated rival... Hm. Any enemy of Selina's is an enemy of mine."
He gripped her shoulders tightly and pushed her hard into the wall. As much as he wanted to hurry up and drain her, he somehow felt she deserved more than that. "An eye for an eye." He backhanded her hard across the face, sending her sprawling to the floor. She let out a cry of pain as her gripped her golden-brown hair and dragged her back to her feet, slamming her again into the wall face first. A large knot appeared on her forehead, and a bit of blood dribbled out of the corner of her mouth.
Damien grinned at this, and threw her into the vanity against Selina's wall, shattering the wood. "Perhaps you've had enough now? I like my meat tender, but still alive...." He smirked again and walked slowly over to Evy's trembling form, leaning over her. A small whimper escaped from her lips: she knew what was coming.
"I wonder.... You remind me so much of Selina. Do you taste like her too...?" He grinned, showing his ominous ivory fangs, as he descended upon her
Evelyn trembled, her head pounded, her lip pulsed as blood escaped it, and she was aching almost all over. She groaned as he approached her and she looked around the splintered wood. "I'm nothin' like Selina..." She said letting out a deep sigh. She stared at him briefly, widening her eyes, he was preparing to bite her! Then her hand found a sharp piece of splintered wood and with one of her last attempts to stay alive she pierced it through his chest.
Evelyn backed away, scrambling over the wood, and breathed in deeply as Damien looked at her surprised. It seemed he wasn't expecting this. He fell to the ground and gurgled a bit...his last word very clear...."Selina..."
Evelyn shook a bit all over. It had all passed a bit quickly, suddenly, but she had defeated him. Evelyn groaned as she ached from all over. Glancing about the room she found her mother's necklace, took it, and then decided to hurry out of the cabin and head back to the crew before she was confronted by any more surprises. Normally Evelyn would stay and smile down at those she had conquered, but she didn't want to risk meeting another one like him.
He had completely dominated the skirmish and she would have died, had it not been for pure luck. Evelyn scurried out but coughed. It was difficult for her to run now, especially after being slammed around so much.

*As Eric finished preparing to get off the ship and follow the crew to the Pearl for battle a strange feeling came over him. One he hadn't felt but a few times in his life. It was as if something was terribly wrong and for whatever reason Evelyn flashed into his mind. Something was happening to her, he could feel it. He grabbed Wills shoulder for a moment, giving the man a hard look in the eye and then without warning he bolted off the ship and sprinted across the beach towards the Pearl. Quietly he climbed aboard the ship, his dark eyes darting from left to right as he snuck his way across the deck. He wasn't exactly sure where he was going really, he was simply letting his feet guide him. Finally, just as he was about to slip into a cabin the door flew open and he felt someone bump into him, knocking him back against the opposite wall. He drew his sword quickly as he felt his heart jump into his throat. Then he gasped as his eyes landed upon Evelyn.* Evy you look terrible! Are you alright? What happened? *He asked, glancing over her and staring into the room. As his eyes fell on Damien his brow furrowed and his face filled with worry and confusion. Was he really looking at what he thought he was? A vampire?* And what in the bloody hell is he...that...it? *He cried, quickly realizing the tone of his voice as he hurried to quiet it.*
*Will furrowed his brow at the stern look in Erics eyes then gasped as the man rushed off the Hells Revenge and bolted towards the Pearl, alone. What had inspired him to do that, Will had no idea as he hadn't seen Evelyn slip off. Quickly he shot his eyes towards Jack and his face filled with a look similar to that of a child who just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.* Okay this time it was him being the idiot, not me. Just thought I should point that out. *He stated, watching his idiot friend dissapear upon the Pearl. And for once, Will was actually waiting for orders to follow.*

Evelyn scurried out and ran into Eric. She widened her eyes. "Eric?" He drew his sword and Evelyn looked over at Damien. " 'm...'m alright...got a bump er two, but 'm fine." Evelyn said waving his concerns off. She clutched her head, feeling a bump begin to form there and she dabbed at her bloody bottom lip.
Then she looked over at Damien and furrowed her brows and spit on him. "Bastard...'es a vampire, I think...I've heard of 'em, but never really thought they were real." Evelyn said taking deep breaths and leaning against the wall to help hold her up a bit. "But don' worry, its done with....put up a good fight, 'e did..." Evelyn groaned as she wiped the at her bottom lip with the back of her sleeve. "but...I'm just too good." Evelyn said with a deep breath and giving Eric a wink.
She clutched her head again and groaned in pain a bit. "Bloody perfect...now I'll be injured gettin' into the bloody battle..." Evelyn said as she put away her sword. She looked to Eric and scanned him over. Then she gave him a smirk while breathing heavily from the skirmish. "Ye know, ye've got a knack of comin' ta my bloody rescue right on time, ye know that?" Evelyn told him lifiting a brow and tapping him lightly on the shoulder. She stumbled a bit, but held herself up. Now she was a bit nervous going into this fight...she wasn't in her best condition now...but she'd be fine...she hoped.
Eric might not have come to her rescue on time, but its not like she needed it...in the end anyway. Evelyn noticed as her hand shook a bit, probably from the shock of it all, and she looked to Eric. At least he had come for her and that's what really mattered.

Hermes nodded in Roux's direction, unable to bring himself to look at his brother. "Not yet...they're close. But so are we..." He trailed off, turning briefly to see Jack, then looked back to the island as the ship stopped. "We're here..."
Hawk glanced from Hermes to Roux, biting his lip. "Roux..." he asked quietly. "Are you gonna be alrigh'?"
Rose made a face, attempting to flatten her hair; it was good having a father, she thought with a faint grin. Having exhausted her thinking capacity, she exited the cabin and came onto deck, approaching her father. "We're 'ere?" she asked, peering over Jack's shoulder. "Lovely island, though it lacks th' charms of 'ome," she added dryly.

*Elizabeth sighed gloomily as she gazed out of a window in the kicthen, her eyes searching the sea for the return of Will. She knew somehow something would delay him from returning on time, but she rather hoped she was just being overly cautious.*
*Lightly mumbling something, she went out into the dining room and took her seat at the table, resting her chin in her hand and deciding this would just be another long day for her.*
"Here you go, Miss. Did you here Mr. Jones spoke with the butler today? He says the wind is picking up again. There might be some rain later on in the afternoon, so I'll send Milly out to run those errands right away!"
*Estrella had entered with another maid, carrying plates of different bits of food. Elizabeth kept her eyes drawn towards the window in the room, and the maid noticed this, as she had been the lady's maid for quite some time, and knew when she was distracted or different than usual.*
'Miss Elizabeth, are you feeling well? Is everything alright?'
"I'm feeling a bit ill Estrella...I'm rather tired, perhaps I should go rest."
'Oh indeed, Miss, I'll set Marie to preparing a bed warmer and I'll follow you up.'
*Elizabeth smiled faintly and stood, feeling guilty for leaving all the food untouched after it had just been prepared for her. Estrella, guessing her thoughts, spoke up as her mistress paused there for a few seconds.*
'No need to worry, I'll send some of this Mr. Jone's way to thank him for his weather report, and I'm sure Milly will finish the rest; such a silly young girl she is. Now go on, I'll be there in a second.'
*Giving her a silent nod, Elizabeth made her way to the main hall and walked slowly up the stairs. She went down the hallway to her room and changed into a night gown just as Estrella entered with the bed warmer and some tea and water. As she was asked if all was well when she settled in bed, she gave a grateful nod and watched the maid close the door softly. Turning over towards her husband's side of the bed, she took the pillow and resumed her gaze out the window, holding it in her arms and slowly drifting off to sleep once more.*

::Jack only nodded at Hermes's reply and then turned to his crew: "First we take the pearl back....then we'll go hunt down Barbossa's crew and the Box....is that clear?"
::That said Jack climbed out the ship, and landed firmly on the beach. He looked around once then drew his sword, ready to go jump onto his ship which was anchored none to far from where he stood:
::then he caught sight of the footprints on the beach. Leading into the forest. He smirked once then whistled to his crew: "Change o' plans.......let's go find Barbossa first..::
::and he was as good as his word, stalking into the forest following the trail left behind:

(( Thanks again, Tobbsy! * huggles*)) <tobbsy edit: Welcomsies *huggles*>
*While the Pearl was docked Maria still sat and continued to whittle, perhaps to relieve any stress she had. She all of a sudden stopped and looked out over her propped feet. Her earthly brown eyes watched as the waves rolled to shore. The salty air stung her eyes and filled the atmosphere. Maria took her feet of the railing and placed her whittling tools to her side. She pulled her knees up on the barrel and rested her chin on them. She was obviously bored. But she didnt quite feel like getting off the ship, yet. Maria hopped off the barrel and went below deck to check on Sarah. She knocked on the door softly*
" Sarah?"
* Sarah awoke to the sound of a rap at the door. 'Sarah?' someone called from the other side. She could recognize the faint voice as Maria's. She streched out on the cot and slid of the bed. Sitting for a while Mara's rap was heard again*
" I'm coming!"
* Sarah called out. She walked toward the door and swung it open*
" Are you feeling well, Sarah?"
* Maria asked worriedly. Sarah was after all one of her closest friends and she didn't look well before.* "Would you like to come out?"
" I'm fine.."
* Sarah answered.* " Really.." * She glanced behind her around the room then back at Maria*
" Actually, Let me just tidy up before I go. The fresh air will do me good."
* Sarah closed the door and fixed the bed she had just slept in. It was after all not her own cabin.*
" Ok lets go.."
* She said headiong out the door*

Roux looked at Hawk curiously. He'd never been asked in the whole of his life if he'd be alright. it was just understood that gods could never be seriously hurt.
but he nodded all the same. "I will be just fine." and he followed Jack off the ship and into the forest without so much as a backwards glance.
He trusted Jack would find the Box. but what the man would do with it was a diffrent story all together. #nosmileys

Hawk blinked after Jack as he set off after Barbossa. "'S it safe for 'im, goin' off like that? Shouldn't we make sure we 'ave a ship first?"
"Ye've got no sense of adventure," Rose informed her brother solemnly, clapping him on the shoulder. "What's th' fun in gettin' a ship 'thout a battle first? We obviously 'aven't 'ad enough recently...things've been alt'gether too quiet..."
Hawk spluttered something that sounded like, "Too quiet?!"
Hermes watched the twins, a smile slowly spreading over his face. "The Box is an important matter...wise of Jack, putting it first." His eyes took on a suspicious glint that quickly left them. "He's a good man," he said, more to himself than to the twins. "When the times comes, he'll do the right thing."
Hermes glanced anxiously at Roux before floating back onto deck, shifting into Orestes. "Shall we?"
"Goin' human?" Hawk asked curiously.
"Rule number one of battles with men like Barbossa," Orestes replied seriously. "Never let them see your advantages, until you can spring them on them. They won't know what hit them. In this case, it'll be the divine interference."
"Couldn't'a said it better meself," Rose remarked brightly, pulling out a pistol and a sword. The gleam of delight in awaiting battle shone in her stormy eyes. "What're we waitin' for, mates?"
Hawk glanced anxiously at Orestes, pulling out two long knives. The god produced a pistol and a dagger, and the two Sparrows, accompanied by the herald god, followed Jack off the Hell's Revenge and after Barbossa.

*Tobbs set out for leaving the ship, glancing behind her and catching sight of Maria and Sarah. She ushered them to hurry on forward, smiling cheerfully at them. She soon was ashore with the rest of the group and watched Jack study the footprints.*
*She followed and walked straight behind him so she could talk while he concentratedly took note of the footprints. Rolling her eyes at the notion of not leaving someone behind to secure the Pearl for them, she sighed and wondered what he was up to with this box of immortality issue...after all, she didnt entirely trust him yet, but she had started to again.*
"So we're gonna go running through the jungle by followin' bloody footprints are we? What are we, trackers now?" *She spoke teasingly but brought up the Pearl seriously as they walked.* "Jack, what about the Pearl? We're not just gonna leave 'er all alone, are we?"
*She didn't know what he was doing really, but she wouldn't object to his word and command now, now that he was her captain. She still wasn't gong to hold back her thoughts though, just propose the thought to him as they continued on in the jungle.*
"Who knows where these footprints came from. There could be natives or marooned men Jack."
*She suddenly noted his signal to stop and sighed, placing her hand on her two sword hilts as she listened intently on noises from before them. She would rather take them by suprise quickly, she was not a very patient person... *
"Jack...."

::Callisto stalled as long as she could. But she now knew she had to move foreward. a door in the stone opened before her. and she stepped inside.::
:::they were in a cave, a high ceiling of white marble....pattern of warriors and gods in god were etched into the walls. and floating high above it all.....a single slab of fine rose marle, was a box:::
::THE Box::
::It was beautiful. the sides made of onyx and gold. Shinning with impossible brillance. it was about the size of a jewerly box, and have a simple hinge lid on it. On the lid was a inscription in gold. Callisto had seen the words before, long ago::
::The writing was in greek, but the basic translation was "behold. The powers of the gods. Immortality. Nothing more."::
::she smiled at the irony, and looked at the slab of marble, floating high overhead, maybe 90 feet from the ground. around the room in poses stern and very lifelike were statues of the greek gods. Zeus, Hera, Athena, Hermes, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Posiden, Hepaestus, Demeter, Dionysus and Ares.....::
::the statues reached upwards of 80 feet in height and were carved of fine white marble. The gods of the gods were cast of gold or set with dozens of enormus jewels so the eyes looked nearly lifelike.....the only way to the Box was climbing on of these statues. And only three god statues had their hands outstretched towards it.:::
::the Hermes statue's left hand was extended out, his index finger reached almost to the Box, but one would have to make a good leap for it. Apollo's statue on the other end of the room had his right hand extended palm upwards as if to invite the sun's light ot his side........and the statue of Dionysus, whose left arm held a wine glass out in a celebratory stance, the rim of the glass nearly touching the Box's resting place:::
::Callisto's eyes flickered around the room once and she silently cried out hoping someone would answer. she turned to Barbossa and his crew, then gestured to the slab of rose marble: "Immortality. Take it. It's yours."
(couldn't resist mates. I happened to like that line from Troy thank you very much)

:Jack looked over his shoulder just long enough to give Tobbs a playful smirk:: "are ye always this impatient, luv?"
::that said he crept deeper into the forest, and stopped just out of sight of Barbossa's crew. He could just see them....see Callisto open the door in the mountain and he watched all of Barbossa's crew follow Callisto inside:::
::Jack's eyes grew strangly dark. and almost blank:
::He could just get a hint of what was inside. He saw glints of marble and gold.....::
"Immortality. Take it. It's yours." Callisto's voice echoed in the rooms. Jack's breathing suddenly became almost ragged. Immortality indeed. Well who WOULDN'T want it?::
::He edged ever closer, waiting....waiting for the right moment to jump in::

Roux could sense Jack's body growing tense. He could hear Callisto just as well as Jack could. And he knew what the man wanted.
Immortality. Well, most mortals did seek that out. In fact Mortals normally hunted for three things in life. Gold. Pleasure. or Immortality. In various forms or another. Wealth. Love. Power. Same combination. same desires.
Jack was only human after all. He wanted what most men would want. He turned sad eyes on Jack and waited. He would decided his own fate now.
