< Curious eyes settled on Fishy a few seconds> "Well A few fights and some punchs and slaps. but nothing to big. Are you alright?"
< She was, honestly worried about him, but she often solved worry with a small trace of humor. She held up two fingers and smiled> "How many fingers?" <She asked with a small smile. > "If you guess more then six you have to go lie down again."
<Then she watched Joe leave. She riased a eyebrow but turned back to Fishy. It really wasn't often she showed a true concern for people. This was one of those rare times.> "I think Roux did something to you. you and Rose. but I'm not sure."

Hawk grinned at Will, looking for a moment identical to a young Jack. He was glad that the older man was so nice...then Tortuga came into sight and Hawk leaned against the railing, his grin radiant. He hadn't seen his home in years...he looked forward to going back.
Orestes looked up as Roux entered; losing his hold on the dust, it turned grey again and fell to the floor.
As his brother began to speak, Orestes weighed the possibilities - he could be serious for a while, contrary to his nature, or he could start teasing Roux right away. He decided on the former; lives and the balance of the world were at stake.
Once Roux was done, Orestes shifted into Hermes. He stood, watching Rose. "I'm not sure what's wrong with her," he said softly, his eyes betraying his concern. "She's not even injured...just chilled...perhaps she was overly tired before, and the sudden jump caused something to happen..." He frowned. "I was hoping you could look at her, you know medicine better than I."
When Roux mentioned Callisto, Hermes's brow furrowed further. "I know she know. It's obvious. Since we're about to reach land...most of the crew won't be here...we should go talk to her. Hopefully she'll show us some respect...it's been severely lacking aboard this damned ship," Hermes added in an annoyed tone. "But first you look at Rose," he insisted.

:As Linea heard the shout that Tortuga was coming into view, her heart leapt. It was someplace new, someplace she'd never been before and she wanted to enjoy it as best as she could. Then, her mind shifted. She was scared as to what she might find. She'd been brought up with rules and they were still ingrained in her, even though she was a thief. She had never been drunk before or caroused until morning like the others. Linea sighed and just stood there, thinking as the shoreline crept closer.:
< sorry guys, best I have right now...going away tonight, be back tomorrow morning!>

*Eric laughed as she called him a softie. He was never going to live those soft moments of his down and he figured there would probably be more to come so he couldn't really say much. And at her next comment he grunted. She was becoming somewhat irresistable but he wasn't going to voice that out loud.* I can resist you as much as you resist me. *He said with a wink as she pulled away and headed off towards her cabin to get her things. He watched her go and then sighed happily and turned around, heading off towards his own cabin whistling. He grabbed up his pistol though figured it would be best to leave the sword behind. He might be less tempted to use it on someone that way however he wasn't stupid enough to go completley unarmed in Tortuga. He may not have ever been there before but he knew it wasn't a place you go for relaxation...unless maybe you were a true pirate at heart. He slipped on his thin leather vest and grabbed up some coins, slipping them in his pocket. Splashing his face with water from the basin, he headed back out on deck.*
Will smiled as they began to ready the ship for the landing in Tortuga. He wondered if the two lasses from a year ago still lived there. Odds were that they did, however he doubted they would run across them. Frankly he hoped they didn't. He slapped Jack on the shoulder then turned as he spotted Eric and he grabbed his friends arm, pulling him towards a mass of ropes.* You're going to help get the Pearl ready to land in Tortuga...that is if you can manage to focus! *He teased, refurring to Erics wandering thoughts of Evelyn. As the two men bent over to lift one of the rope bulks Will tipped his head to the side, realizing the necklace was gone from his friends neck. He figured he knew why and so he didn't bring it up. As they finished the task at hand Will went back over and stood beside Jack, his eyes glancing around at Tortuga. He grinned as Jack spoke and he glanced over at him.* As long as you don't plan to trade me off for anything, I'm game for anything. *He said, a bit of humor in his voice.*
*Once he finished his job with Will he went over to the railing and waited there until they had finally arrived in Tortuga. A grin crept over his face as he watched the people near the docks. It looked like something you would see in a shakespearian comedy. He shook his head and grunted, wondering how Will, being the way that he was, had ever come out of this place alive.* Try something once I always said. *He said to no one in particular. He decided to wait for Evelyn before heading in to the town, not exactly sure when she would need him for the contest.*
*Maria jumped up from her seat the moment the Captain yelled for all hands on deck. She immediatly jumped on the task of getting the ship ready for docking. She might be young but she could do her job as well as anyone else. Once they arrived in the docks she grinned, glancing around as she placed her hands upon her hips.* Im back Tortuga! *She said laughing and hurried to the other end of the Pearl, excited to step foot back into the city. Even if she did have a few demons here it didn't matter much. She could hold her own if she needed to.*

Evelyn headed away and went into her cabin. Her eyes glancing around for any essentials. She decided tying her hair back would be wise, if she was going to end up drunk that night her hair might get in her way in her drunkeness, and knowing herself all too well, she might decide in the drunken stupor to chop off her locks. So she took a piece of leather and tied her hair into a low ponytail, although a few rebellious strands fell in front of her face anyway.
She loaded her pistol and stuck that in her sash, and placed her sword in place. Evelyn was ready for anything. The put on her earrings and things, bangles, and left her mothers necklace here. If she lost that she would never forgive herself.
Then she headed back on deck. Her eyes stared around and she saw Jack and Will together. She smiled at Jack. "Cap'n, 's been a pleasure sailin' with ye mate, really. Just wanted ta let ye know that jus' in case I don' make it back here, savvy?" Evelyn told him with a slight smirk. She gave him a small slap on the back and headed away when she spotted Eric. She joined him and looked out to the island.
The sun was in the late afternoon and they would be getting to the contest in a little bit, no need to rush these things. Besides it was Eric's first time there. "Yer firs' time isn' it?" Evelyn asked him turning to face. him. "Don' worry mate, jus' stick by me an' ye'll be fine. An' don' mind the bloody wenches...they'll jump on almost anythin' so, your nothin' special." She told him with a playful wink.

*Eric glanced over at Evelyn as she came over to him. He gave her a nod with her head and watched as Maria hurried from the ship and went out into Tortuga. She seemed quite eager to see this place. He laughed at Evelyns comment and glanced at her out of the corner of his eye* I'll be fine if I stick with you eh? You seem like a magnet for trouble I'm not so sure about that. *He said with a wink then burst into laughter as she mentioned the wenches and him being nothing special. He shook his head as he regained his composure.* I'll keep that in mind. But I guess as long as they're pretty I don't mind, and besides I'll need something to do once you pass out. *He said, returning the wink and nudging her a bit. Then he strolled off and climbed down the Pearl, landing on the deck and taking a deep breath. He glanced around then glanced back up at the ship, waiting for Evelyn as he wasn't entirley sure what there was to do here for entertainment. Besides the taverns and women.*

Emma sighed with relief as she heard the call that land was close. “I’s ‘bout bloody time.” Emma said with a grin. She glanced at Evelyn as she came on deck. “Hey Evy! The Rogue’s Gatherin’!” She called out to her with a nod. “Sunset!” Emma grinned. “An’ ye be’er not go backin’ out now.” Emma called to her as they docked. Emma was ready to jump off the ship. It had been a while since she’d been here and she was ready to get some drink in her. This place was always entertaining, no matter where you turned there was a good scrap or two.
Rick followed Emma as they hit the docks and walked down the plank towards the docks with her. “Don’ go gettin’ yeself in trouble ye’ Em. Ye’ll need ta be alive if yer goin’ to compete tonigh’.” Rick to her scanning the crowds as he walked with Emma. Tortuga was a scurvy place indeed and he would keep his hand steady on the hilt of his sword ready to defend himself and Emma, although he really doubted that Emma would need it. Now that he had found her there was no way he would lose her. Especially not to some mindless drunk.
Don’ worry Rick, we’ll be fine. I’ll take care o’ ya.” Emma told him with a wink slapping his back as they strolled down the broken cobbled streets.
Evelyn looked over as Emma called to her and only glared at her. "Don' worry Em, I'll be there." Evelyn stated as Emma and Rick wandered off into the town. Then she turned back to Eric who spoke to her. "Yer right, I might jus' end up attractin' trouble. I can' help if I've go' a talent for pushin' people over the edge." She told him with a smile but as he spoke of the wenches Evelyn gave him a glare, but she knew he wasn't at all serious. "Really? Well then you can go ahead and do what ye like, savvy? But then I guess I can go ahead and roam for a lonely young man. There's plen'y of 'em here. Now...where to find one." She said lifting a brow.
She headed down as they landed on the docks. She jabbed him in the side playfully. "Now remember, jus' stick with me an' ye'll be alright. Don' make eye contact with anyone, bu' don' keep yer head down. Don' keep her hands in yer pockets or people 'll think ye have somethin' in 'em." Evelyn told him briefly as she began to walk into the busy streets.

*Eric grinned as she said he could do what he wanted, she'd simply find her own lonley man. His eyes scanned the docks and he pointed out an old fat man who was obviously drunk and had a peg leg. He nudged Evelyn with his elbow.* What about that gentlmen over there? He's a handsom chap. *He laughed then nodded as she laid down the basic rules one would need to know in Tortuga. He kept his head up but couldn't help and look at the patrons walking the streets about him. He still couldn't bring himself to believe that Will had actually sailed with a crew of people that had come from this place. Eric was a lot stronger than Will and far more hardened and he still felt uncomfortable here. He was just happy he wasn't walking the streets alone. Not because he feared the people or what they might do to him in their drunken state but he just wanted the company of a familiar face. As he and Evelyn began to walk the busy streets he paused in front of the large window of a rather run down looking shop and he peered in. There were trinkets and treasures of all kinds. He spoted a beautiful looking daggar, the kind one would keep in their boot and he glanced at Evelyn.* Who do you think that got stolen from? *He asked with a grunt and a laugh, figuring that every item in the shop had probably been pillaged from someone just to be sold in the shop, and more than likely stolen again.*

Evelyn looked at the fat man with a pegged leg. "He looks like he'll be passed out before we get anywhere." Eve told him with a smirk and then they headed downt he broken streets. Everywhere there was filth. Men passed by in drunken stupor. Women peered at Eric keenly and she gave them a hard glance. "Jus' keep walkin'...keep walkin'..." Evelyn told one red-head in particular.
When Eric stopped her and she looked into the shop Evelyn lifted a brow. "What?" Evelyn asked him as she turned. Just then her eyes widened. "Is tha'?" Evelyn asked. The handle was black with a single red gem. "Tha' looks like MY blade!" Evelyn said remembering the last time she was here she had recently bought a red jeweled encrusted dagger. "Why tha' good fer nothin'..." and without another thought entered the shop.
Inside it was dark, gloomy, and dusty. Trinkets of all kinds sat everywhere and hung from the ceiling as well. She strode up to the shop keeper, a young man with a patch over an eye. "You! That dagger," Evelyn nodded towards the front of the shop and in the window. "Tha's my bloody knife!" Evelyn cried. The man widened his one eye and laughed at her. "Yer knife, ye say? Well...finder's keepers!" he laughed at her. "
Evelyn balled her fists. "I'll be takin' my bloody dagger back. Laugh all ye want." Evelyn stated taking out her pistol and pointing it right at the man. The quieted him up and closed his mouth. "Good, now...as I said...I'll be takin' my dagger back." The man nodded nervously and pointed to the back of the store. Eve nodded. "See? Simple." Evelyn told him tucking her pistol back in her sash and turned to head to the front of the store to grab her dagger.

*Eric raised a brow and couldn't help but grin as the women who were staring at him were glared at by Evelyn. He laughed softly as she told the one to keep walking and he looked at the woman and simply shrugged. This was deffinantly going to be an interesting place to be in with Evelyn by his side. She was going to make Tortuga a place he would never forget, even if he tried. Suddenly she cried out that the blade he pointed out had been her own and he looked at her slightly confused and then he laughed, throwing his arms in the air as he hurried after her into the shop. He figured he'd probably have to save the shop keeper from almost certain death, maybe even Evelyn once her temper flarred up! He stood beside her with crossed arms as she yelled at the man. His eyes wandered about the shop and he spotted something. Glancing at Evelyn he grinned, seeing how she obviously had the shop keeper distracted. He went over slowly and scooped up the item that had caught his eye and he discretly slipped it in his pocket and then turned back to the two arguing. He groaned and shook his head as Evelyn pulled out her pistol and aimed it at the man. Eric was slowly beginning to understand how Rick felt and he trotted over to the two people quickly. He sighed in relief as she returned her pistol to her sash and turned to fetch her daggar.* Sorry about that mate. *He said with a nervous laugh. The store keeper stared at him for a long moment then suddenly he spun around and pulled his own pistols from his belt, aiming one at Evelyn and one at Eric.* Stop righ' there lass 'less you wan' the both o ye ta get shot. *Eric quickly threw his hands up as a pistol was pointed his way and he rolled his eyes. He knew as soon as Evelyn said those words "See Simple" that she had jinxed their chances of making it out of the shop that easily.* Come on mate I didn't do anything! Why are you pointing a pistol at me? *He cried confused. The man glarred at him then looked back at Evelyn* I said drop it!

Evelyn stopped dead in her tracks as Eric cried out. A pistol. The man had a pistol pointing right at her. Her hand held the dagger in one hand and she turned very slowly. The man spoke harshly at her. "Drop the damned dagger right now or I swear on me poor mother's grave, ye'll be shot dead righ' 'ere, righ' now." He told her with a stern nod. Evelyn glared at him, gripping her hand tightly about the dagger. "I jus' wan' my dagger back! The one ye stole, ye bloody bilge rat!" Evelyn shouted at him from the front of the shop. The man pulled back the hammer at her, "Don' go talkin' ta me like tha' ye scurvy wench!" He told her glaring at her with his one good eye.
Slowly Eve noted out of the corner of her eye how Eric was inching his way towards the man, Eric was beginning to make his way behind the counter when the man turned the pistol. At the same exact moment another customer waltzed in. This distracted the man enough so that his attention was torn in too many places and with one good eye he wasn't able to catch everything. "Now Eric!" Evelyn yelled angrily and flicked the dagger.
The dagger sliced through the air and landed in the man's chest, Eve fell to the ground as a shot went off in the shop, she had ducked in time and the bullet went passed her head and shattered the glass behind her, the window fell on her in thousands of jagged pieces.
The pieces fell over her, most were harmless, but a few had caught into the backs of her hands. She crouched there, her heart pounding rapidly as she awaited the outcome of it all. She hoped it was enough, she prayed briefly. "Please God, could ye please save this one? I kinda like 'im." Evelyn said with a small nervous chuckle. Evelyn had grown up a loyal Catholic although after her mother died her dad stopped taking her to church. She prayed Eric was safe and she looked up a the mess and hoped Eric would pop out from behind the counter.

(OOC- sorry I haven't posted in a few days.. I had a huge english paper, then we had a tree fall in our yard and tear out our cable and telehone wires Oo;; But I'm back now, so yea....Thanks to Evy for helping me catch up lol)
::Barbossa gave the order, and Damien suddenly began to feel the ship move::
"Well, ladies, I suppose we should finish this game sooner rather than later. I'm not sure our Captain would appreciate us slacking off on our first night, eh?" ::He winked knowingly at them, then gestured for the other two players to lay down their hands first::
::Gypsy smirked. Let Barbossa think what he wanted - she was free now, and didn't take orders from any man, least ways not a pirate. She nodded at Selina, then revealed her hand::
"Three of a kind, mates, read 'em and weep!"
"Haha, not goo enough, my dear! Full House!" :: Damien gently laid his cards on the table, showing off his hand. He saw Gypsy tense, but she said nothing::
"Selina?"

*Eric swallowed hard as his eyes went between the pistol wielding shop keeper and the daggar holding Evelyn. He cringed a bit as she insulted the man and Eric was scared to death that she was going to get herself killed. Then he glared as the man called her a wench. If she didn't kill him, Eric would. Suddenly his eyes shot towards the customer as they came in and at Evelyns words he went rushing towards the man but stopped dead in his tracks and dropped to his knees behind the counter as a shot rang out. He heard Evelyn fall to the floor as the glass shattered and his heart seemed to have stopped and the world about him was spinning* EVELYN! NO!! *He screamed out in horror, afraid to peek out from his position to see her. He shut his eyes tightly and lowered her head.* Don't do this to me again God, please don't do this to me again. *He pleaded in a soft voice. The shop keeper coughed and Erics eyes narrowed and his attention turned slowly to him. He crawled over to him and glanced at Evelyns daggar protruding from the mans chest.* You bloody bastard. *He said between clenched teeth and he gave the daggar one last thrust, sighing heavily as the man died. He ran his hand over his own eyes a moment then pulled the daggar from his chest and mustered up enough bravery to appear from behind the counter. He saw Evelyn and a large smile formed on his face as she saw that she hadn't been hurt, with the exception of the glass. He rushed over to her and dropped beside her, pulling her into him and kissing the top of your head. He held her for a moment then suddenly he coughed and sat back on his knees looking at her.* Heh...well...I guess you're alright then? *He asked, feeling slightly foolish. But he had been right, where there was Evelyn, trouble was sure to follow. Apparently he would have to get used to that.*

Evelyn smiled seeing Eric peer over the counter. She brought her hands down and shook her hands. The small shards of glass fell away from her hands, leaving a spot or two of blood, but nothing that bothered her. Instead she smirked as Eric came over and pulled her into him. Evelyn had heard his scream and wrapped her arms around Eric. Then when he pulled away she nodded. "O' course I'm alright. I'm bloody Evelyn Pearl, mate." Eve told him with a nod.
She looked to the dagger and took it back. Eve took the dagger and wiped the blood with her sash and stuck it in her boot. "Well, looks like I got what I came in for, eh?" Evelyn said with a laugh as she stood and placed a hand through her hair. She gave him a hand to lift him up. When he stood she smirked. "Sorry if I scared ye. Bu' I s'ppose yer goin' ta have ta get used to it. Besides, cheer up. We're goin' somewhere special...a brothel." She told him as they headed out of the shop. The customer who had come in stood at the doorway staring at her and she tipped her head to him and said, "Uh, I think ye can jus'...go ahead an' get what ye want." Evelyn told him with a wink.
They headed out into the streets where no one seemed to notice what had happened. Her eyes scanning the streets. Evelyn dusted herself off, trying to shake of the shards. Her finger pointed around and then she found it. "There, tha' big brown buildin'...I need ta go visit an old friend." She told him as she headed out into the crowd.
Selina looked on as Damien placed down his cards. She sighed heavily and placed down her cards. "Three of a kind, I'm out." Selina stated with a small huff. Although this barely mattered to her. All she was looking at now was Damien. "It seems you've got a bit of luck with you tonight, Damien." Selina told him with a soft voice. She peered over her shoulder at the extra crewmates and gave them all a solemn nod. She stood and stretched. "I'm done." Selina said standing up and heading to the railing of the ship, where she stared out at the inky black waters.

*Eric smirked as she said she was okay and held her hand out to him. He grabbed it and stood, brushing off his pants and glancing back at the dead chap behind the counter. He frowned a bit, feeling slightly bad. But seeing Evelyns demenor about the whole situation he figured there wasn't much to worry about.* Well I'm glad you're okay. If something would of happened I wouldn't have had anything to do the rest of the night. *He said with a wink. He raised a brow and laughed as she said they were going to a brothel so she could catch up on an old friend. For a brief moment he wondered just exactly how she had befriended someone in a brothel but he shook the thought from his mind. It didn't matter to him either way. His eyes strayed towards the customer who looked only slightly surprised and he grinned at Evelyns words and shook his head. He followed her out into the streets with his hands shoved in his pockets. Suddenly he pulled them back out swiftly and laughed nervously.* Oops. *He said simply then his gaze went to where she was pointing. So she was serious then, they were going to be going to the brothel.* Just promise me one thing mate...that you won't kill anybody. I think one is enough for today. *He said, nudging her with his elbow as they made their way through the crowd and towards the large brown building. As he gazed at it, it reminded him of his mother and the life she was forced to pick after his father was wrongfully hung for the death of Erics little sister. The poor girl died when he was still very young in a fire. He frowned and shook his head but he quickly smiled again, not wanting to appear like anything was on his mind.*
