Rhys watched Elizabeth as she explained the predicament as best she could. Yet her eyes were filled with doubt. If she had been a part of this ship for years now, wouldn't this woman know who Ry was? Unless of course something had happened to him and she had refused to speak of her brother. But... she would know if anything horrible had happened. She would feel it in her gut. She shook her head trying to shake the confusion. From what she could tell the woman was earnest in her answer, but that did not mean much.
The theif's eyes shifted to Iniko as he was introduced, and she looked him over warily. He was handsome, this was true but he had a dangerous look to him. Yet, she could feel herself being attracted to him. Blinking several times to clear her mind, she took in his posture and the movement of his hands. He clearly wanted to speak with her alone. She would hear him out, it was just the getting rid of the woman.
"How do I know I can trust you? How can you prove you're not lying to me?" she asked the pair warily. She paused a moment before saying, "I need time alone, time to think."

*Eric glanced below him as Emma swiftly joined their climbed and he flashed her a quick smile before looking back up towards the brightly lit hole that seemed almost blinding compared to the utter darkness that surrounded them all. His brow furrowed however when Evelyn answered his question about Mark and as soon as she mentioned how the lad had put a pistol to her head Eric gasped and nearly slipped off the vine.
He caught himself with only a few feets drop and winced as a hot pain shot through his shoulder and down his arm.* He put a pistol to your head? Damn bloody idiot! What does he think he's playing at? First the Pearl and now you... *Eric growled, his brown eyes narrowing at the mere thought of the situation. He shook his head as he continued to climb.* The next time I see Mark...Im putting a pistol to his bloody head. *He muttered.
His expression changed when a familiar voice suddenly floated down the hole. He blinked against the bright sunlight and smiled suddenly.* Oi! Rick! Good to see you, mate! *He called upwards, able to see the mans sillhouete. Glancing back down he dangled from his vine long enough to let Emma through first. It was simply in his nature to do things of the like, considering he'd been raised that way and had it drilled into his head from the time he was born till he was fifteen years old.* And don't try to argue, Emma...you're goin' up first. *He grinned at her then looked back at the hole with a slightly nervous glint in his eye.
He wondered if he got stuck if the other three would be able to yank him free of the hole. He doubted he would get through it without a pretty good struggle but he'd be damned if he'd spend another moment in this cavern, especially since he'd be the only one left.*

*Will groaned and stood up slowly, rubbing his head as he glanced about the area that surrounded him. He blinked curiously a few times, wincing as his hand went over a large bump on the back of his head. For a moment he couldn't remember where he was or what had happened to him. His last clear memory was taking Sam back to the ship, checking on James and Elizabeth and then heading out again.
Closing his eyes he drew in a deep, trembling breath and heaved himself off the damp green grounds of the islands jungle. Like a flash of lightning before his eyes the image of dark robed men attacking him at all once as he searched for the cave came back to him and he shook his head startled. One had obviously hit him over the head with something, most likely a rock, and then the group of them left him there thinking he was either dead or figured they had rendered him useless and was happy with that.
Muttering to himself about letting himself get caught off guard when, he admitted whole heartedly, he had always been a rather rash guy. Shrugging off the incodent to think about it later he took back off towards the cave, hoping he was headed in the right direction and that there were no more of those cloaked figures near by.
Finally after a half hours trot he found Evelyn and Rick up ahead of him. He grinned widely and quickened his pace.* Rick! Evy! Is everyone alright? Who else is down in the cavern still? What about Elizabeth, where is she? Is she still on the ship with James, are they safe? *He rattled off, dropping down beside them and peering over Ricks shoulder into the hole where he could see the top of Emmas aburn head.
Now that he had found some of the others and knew that he himself was alright all he could think about was his family and whether or not they were safe. He wasn't sure what he'd do if they had been taken or harmed.*

Evelyn had fell to her knees peering into the blackened hole when an echoing voice reached her ears. Obviously, Eric hadn't been exactly delighted at the news she had given him, but she wasn't exactly surprised either, slightly relieved, truth be told. A small smile spread her lips and she shook her head. She doubted they'd see Mark anytime too soon, and by then perhaps Eric's rage would have lessened, at least slightly, at least Mark better hope it will. Evelyn had only seen Eric enraged a couple times before, and with his stature and build, he could be a pretty violent force to reckon with. Still no match for her...but....
She peered over her shoulder towards Rick and smiled again, before turning back to the hole. "Well 'urry up Eric, we don' wanna be here all bloody day." She called into the darkness, straining to make out his shadow beyond the auburn spot of hair currently growing larger as Emma made her way up.
Will's voice then broke the atmosphere, disturbing the hiss of swaying palms, and blades of grass, and she turned slightly. "Will! Good ta see ya." She commented, glancing him over and then furrowing her brows. She had just taken stock at exactly how dirty she had become from their small escapade inside the cave. Her clothes from the chest down were still soaked from her venture into the pool, her hair, thankfully had been tied in a scarf and so not much but a few frizzy strands were discernible, her hands were muddied, and spots of blackened earth marked her neck and face.
Some form of bathing would certainly be in order after all this...
"Erm, Elizabeth?" she queried, lifting a curved brow. "She, erm, was in the cave. Pretty sure she's back at the ship though, Will. Left with Tobbsy, Rhys, and some strange man...pretty sure they're alright though." She stated casually, gently squeezing his shoulder hoping to reassure him before turning to look back into the hole before them.
A kick of gusty winds picked up and soon Emma was out. She gave a smile and a nod before making to the very edge of the hole. Eric's form was coming up quickly now and she bit her lip noting exactly how small the hole looked compared to his build. It would be a tight squeeze, but he'd be able to manage it...at least...she hoped he would.

*When Eric was certain that Emma was safely out of the hole he began his climb once again, merely grinning as Evelyn shouted at him to hurry up. Rolling his eyes he went as fast as he could, his brows raising as he heard Wills rambling voice and he couldn't help but laugh ever so slightly. The man always seemed to be on edge and frankly Eric was surprised to see him this far away from his family.
Finally reaching the hole he found decent footing to fit his size of feet and slipped both his arms out of the hole, feeling around until he got hold of solid ground and with a heave and a wince he lifted himself out of it, or at least he had started to when he found that his waist and hips would no longer budge. His eyes darted between the faces around him and he gave an embarrassed sort of laugh as he attempted to squeeze out again. And again it was to no avail.* Well bloody hell! *He cried, glarring down at his waist and hips as he cursed the hole he was stuck in.
Will hurried forward to help him but he quickly swatted the mans hand away and glanced up at him without actually looking up.* I can do it. *He stated struggling again to get out of the hole, growing angrier at it with every fruitless tug. Finally he let out an exhasperated cry, threw his arms in the air then crossed them and looked at Evelyn annoyed.* Could this trip possibly get any worse? *He asked her, finally sucumbing to any help that was offered his way, all the while feeling like a complete and utter ass.*

Evelyn took a few steps back as Emma soon emerged and joined Rick's side. Eric's tuft of dark curls however were soon apparent and a giddy sort of smirk came over her face. Her initial instinct was to of course give aattempted to get through. However instead, she paused, kneeling at the hole, a slight sparkle in her eye as he attmpted to muscle his way out of the situation.
As he gave a slight grunt she gave a chuckle, attempting to hide the amount of laughter this was truly producing, but slowly her face was giving a tinge far too pink to simply be because of heat. Will had gone in to give him a hand but he smacked it away, untilf finally he gave in and Evelyn could hold it in no longer. She burst out in laughter and shook her head.
"Ya know Eric...this jus' further proves on thing..." she commented with a smart smirk upon her tanned face. Moving forward upon her knees, making a rough path through gravel, rock, sand, and leaf she placed a hand on his cheek and bent over closely, placing the tip of her nose centimeters from his. "That you're a bigger ass than I am...quite literally I might add." She added playfully, grinning broadly, and smacking his jaw a bit.
"Well let's get the bloody idiot out. We can' bloody well 'ave him there all day. Although...it is tempting..." She added with a small chuckle as she dusted herself off and stood. Then, bending slightly, she gave him her hands hoping she can at least try and wedge him out of the hole he was in.
The sun was sizzling by now and there was nothing she would like better than to get back to the ship...get back and see what exactly it was that Evelyn had picked up in the cave below. A slight glint glimmered off the rim of the piece of pocket watch Evelyn had shoved into her sash. It simply had to be part of the big time turner thing Jack was rambling on about not too long ago.
With a bit of help from Rick and Will she was able to pry at Eric for a good bit before he slowly began to slide out of his current predicament. Her eye kept sternly upon his shoulder wound and she cringed in pain several during several heaves, and couldn't bare to look once. She bit her lip and simply shook her head in disappoint. She would definately tend to that when they returned to the ship. Technically he didn't get a 'quality' nights rest last night anyhow, so perhaps tonight she could hold back somewhat and allow him, or rather, FORCE him to simply sleep tonight.
She wouldn't of course...there was always that constant buzz in the back of her mind...the thoughts that somehow seemed to blot all around her.
When finally he was able emerge she smiled and embraced him momentarily, simply relieved he had made it out alive. Evelyn had a habit of taking any chance she could to appreciate Eric, in this life, there really was no certainty and she supposed that had been burned in her mind so many times that she would never forget it, that she would always, in some state of subconcious or otherwise be aware of it.

Tobbs had begun pacing...she was still in the Captain's Quarters, and still hiding her nervous worries about Jack by anger. She paused briefly at a chair to mutter something, and then angrily knocked it over with a quick slam of her wrist. Hunching her shoulders and sitting upon the other that stood up, she pouted rather obviously.
"Where in the bloody caribbean could 'e be? What is this? Ditch the crew day? Ditch me day? 'e's been gone for the ENTIRE day now, ENTIRE day! And there's no report of 'im or anything...."
This made her uneasiness grow, and she suddenly stood up quickly, remembering all the grudges there were against Captain Sparrow. She quickly headed for the door, resting her hand on the handle before pausing in thought...
"No....no...better not go out and look for 'im...that'd seem to obvious....no...if 'e's not back by nightfall, and the ship's ready to go...I'll find 'im..."
And so she resorted back to taking a seat on the chair that was sitting up, leaning back and gripping the sides rather tightly....

Elizabeth sighed...she knew not what to do..she glanced at Iniko, wondering if he knew the answers. Rhys could not be trusted alone in her state right now. She was too unsure of everything.
"Alright Rhys...you can have some time alone...Iniko or I will be just outside if you need anything from us, alright?"
Elizabeth smiled and gestured Iniko to followe, leading him outside and shutting the door softly. Then, leading him towards the stairs, she paused out of earshot and spoke.
"We need her to trust us, yes, but we also can't leave her alone. I need you to stay here and watch the door for me....anything you hear, you find me...does that sound like a plan, Iniko? Or are you heading somewhere else?"

((ooc: Woot happy Bday Rhys! *hands over cake with lots of yummeh candles))
*Will reached forward and helped Rick and Evelyn begin prying the rather stuck Eric from out of the rather small hole. It proved to be a struggle that Will wasn't too keen on sticking around for. Especially after Evelyn told him that his wife had wandered back to the ship with an injured woman and a strange man. His eyes flashed with a wild anger for a moment and he scowled, standing up and abandoning retreiving Eric from the hole.* You all let her leave with a strange man? GAH! *He cried angrily and sped off towards the ship.
He'd had pleanty of adventures by now to know that you never trust anyone on first glance, even if they turn out to be alright in the end. Running as swiftly as his legs would carry him with no other thought in his mind right now except Elizabeth he finally stormed back on board the ship and searched the deck and halls for his wife frantically.
Finally he spotted her and obviously the strange man for there was a dark lad with her that Will had never seen before. Panting furiously he pushed his hair out of his face with his hand and trotted up to her, grabbing her arm gently and eyeing the man with more suspicion than was probably necessary.* Elizabeth, are you alright? How is Rhys? *He asked turning back to her and looking her over to make sure she was void of wounds. In the meantime he chose to ignore the man until he was sure his wife and son were out of harms way.*

*Erics face went bright red as he glanced over at Evelyn and saw her struggling to hold back her laughter. He grinned in a smart ass sort of way at her and rolled his eyes. As she pushed her face close to his he grunted at her remark and glarred playfully at her.* Oh shut up, Evy. You know you love my big ass! *He laughed, giving her a wink. A moment later the three pirates around him were struggling to free him and he winced with every heave though he tried to hide it. He really didn't want Evelyn messing with the wound anymore, it wasn't exactly a good feeling.
Soon Will took off and Eric cocked a brow and glanced over at Evelyn, Rick, and Emma. He always felt Will had his heart in the right place, even if his mind wasn't always with it. He doubted that man was something to worry about although he figured there was nothing wrong with being suspcious. It was in a way odd that he had randomly shown up....but then again that was how Eric himself had come about....just randomly wandered onto the ship one day. The memory made him laugh. He and Evelyn had seemed to loathe one another in those days and now here they were (granted they still had the gift of arguing something firece.) He doubted he ever really loathed her.*
