Tobbs eyed the man, who seemed to be some sort of slave, with a suspicious interest. He seemed to be fearful or scared, perhaps...he did look to be trying to help. Yet, Tobbs never was one to be generally convinced by fear or sorrow. It generally fed the flame that made her rid of people easily...
But then, time with the crew of the Black Pearl had changed her, and she somewhat felt sorry for the man. Perhaps he made her pity him with his manner of hunching back. Sighing and shaking her head, she pondered on what could be done. She never trusted easily, let alone anyone but Jack and the crew....
"O come on now, no need to be 'unchin' back and 'idin' from me..."
She walked forward towards him, noting his features and wondering where exactly the slave had come from. He seemed to be decent enough...perhaps she'd just talk him back into helping then?
"Now then, I'll 'elp get with that rope you've got. Per'aps we can do this together, eh?"
...he seemed earnest and somewhat kind from her first impression of him...but she couldn't let him win her over by charm and pity! No, trust'd have to be earned a bit more than that. The small smile that had managed to find its way onto her lips and the less rougher tone of her voice faded into the harsher manner she'd first begun with.
"Well come on then, you gonna make me do all the work now? Don' just stand there and give me a reason to make you move..."

Iniko nodded submissively at the woman's change in voice and character. She seemed to take pity on him, as he had hoped she would. So he moved towards her and the rope at her words. His chocolate hands picked the rope up, but he stood a good distance away from her. He needed to intensify the pity that she had for him. The best way to do that was to pretend to be fearful of her.
Back hunched, green eyes staring at the ground in front of him. His hands clutched the rope loosely, as if he was preparing himself to fall away cringing if necessary. His spirit could handle everything that was thrown at him, yet the way to keep his body alive was to keep himself acting pitiful. He had learned the ropes at home.
His green eyes studied the ground in front of him trying to figure out the best course of action. He had to get close to the crew, get them to take him with them and not suspect a thing. He had to find a weakness, at the moment all there was was the unconcious girl at the bottom of the hole. They were clearly worried about her. "Perhaps I can use her somehow," he thought to himself.

ooc: Rhys, Braden will come in on the next rpg, not this one. And okay so I think Im caught up now (though id really like to get back to the ship now *g*) And yeah sorry this post is like massivley short but you know me and how much i hate those bloody long posts!! *coughs*
*Eric gripped Evelyns hand tightly as they wound their way through the deep black cave, he didn't want to risk loosing her in the heavy void that surrounded them. After a moment a glint shown up ahead and for a moment he wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him due to lack of light. But Evelyn quickly confirmed that it was her dagger. He was relieved that they had stumbled across it so easily, although he wondered if it was almost too easily. And obviously it had been because the floor gave way and they stumbled down into yet another cavernous area.
Eric blinked as their swift fall came to a sudden stop and he looked up quickly, blinking again. Somehow he felt as if he should have expected something like that to happen to them. He heard Evelyn say his name but it didn't quite register and he continued to turn his head this way and that, though nothing could be seen but utter blackness. He could hear her deep, unsteady breaths somewhere beside him but was too disoriented to tell where and he couldn't help but grin slightly. He knew Evelyn was petrified of small spaces and who was to say how small this place was? He on the other hand could have cared less so long as there was some eventual way out, besides simply dying.
He rose to his feet with a slight groan and rolled his wounded shoulder that was now throbbing again. He shuffled his feet around for a moment just to make sure they were on solid land this time before stopping and turning in the direction that he assumed Evelyn was in.* Don't worry, Evy. We'll find a way out. *He assured her though he didn't know exactly how truthful he was being. Suddenly there was a loud crumbling sound followed by a flooding of orange light that compared to the darkness he was surrounded in felt blinding. Eric blinked and shielded his eyes for a moment, letting them rest on Sam and Mark as they rushed over.* Yeah, I think we're fine. *Eric replied, putting his hand down and glancing around at the newly illuminated cavern.
He shoved his hands in his pockets and began to shuffle around, slowly beginning to figure that getting out would be hopeless. It seemed that whoever came down here, stayed down here but he didn't want to say it aloud in fear of putting Evelyn in a worse state of trama. So instead he lied.* Ah, it'll be easy to get out of here I'm thinkin' *He nodded and suddenly Rhys voice floated down from up above and his head jerked upwards.* Rhys! *He called when suddenly Mark yelled at her to jump down and that he would catch her. Eric raised a dumbfounded brow and couldn't help but wonder if the man had lost his mind. Why in bloody hell would he want her to jump down here with them when it was clearly better to be up there...unable to fathom it he simply shook his head and stepped away incase Mark did miss her. He had enough happen to him already, he didn't need to be crushed by a falling body on top of it all.
He grinned boyishly as Evelyn complained about how there would now be an even greater lack of air. For a moment he pondered saying something about how he doubted they'd last the night, simply to freak her out but thought against it. If he was going to die in this God forsaken hole he at least wanted it to be from natural causes. Instead he moved over to her, looping his arm about her shoulders and giving it a gentle squeez, though he said nothing. After a moment she began to go on a rant again and he released her, shoving his hands once more in his pocket and wandering about the small cavern for any way out.
A moment later a whirl of things happened as Mark began screaming out and Rhys was seemingly being attacked. Not knowing what to do (or what was going on for that matter) he simply stood in place looking up at the hole curiously and silently. When things seemed to calm and Mark walked off down a narrow passageway Eric stayed put, feeling along the walls in the current cavern. When Tobbs and Elizabeth arrived he stopped what he was doing as they tried to conjure up a way to get them out but so far it was to no avail and he was starting to become frustrated.* Would you bloody stop getting old things? Find something newer, I dont wanna fall back down half way up the damn thing! *He snapped and quickly furrowed his brow as it seemed the man who had attacked Rhys earlier was still up there.
Suddenly out of no where Mark managed to get out of the hole and Eric was almost bothered by this, in fact he was outright annoyed and glarred slightly up towards the hole. With an exhasperated grunt he leaned against the cave wall and crossed his arms.* We'll be down here whenever you're finished. *He called up, not caring at the moment whether or not he sounded like an ass. The cave was getting to him and he wanted out. When Rhys suddenly landed in front of him his anger gave way a little and he gave her a nod, glancing down at her leg.* You probably should have went back to the ship, Rhys...instead of coming down here. That can't have been good on your leg. *He said concerned. It was going to be hard enough getting him and Evy out, much less a wounded Rhys.
After a moment he followed Evelyn who was now desperate to find a way out and they managed to come across a sizeable crack, though upon first glance he highly doubted he'd make it through. He only got as far as the tip of his shoulders before he nearly got himself wedged in and so quickly pulled back out and peered through the crack at her.* So I guess I'll wait for you on this side then. *He called with a slight grin and a nod of his head. As Mark managed to slip through he frowned a little, not wanting to be left behind and so he struggled with every ounce he had, ignoring his throbbing shoulder and finally managed to squeeze through.* Well that was easy. *He grinned lopsided and winked at Evy.
When she discovered the hot spring Eric trotted up to her, his grin growing as he placed his mouth close to her ear as not to let Mark listen to his remark.* Might not feel so bad without all these clothes on. *He whispered and stood back up to glance around as if he hadn't said anything at all. In all honesty, if no one else had been down here with them he probably would have tried to coax her into that but for now he'd leave it as just a jest. When Mark snapped at her about being happy with himself Eric glanced over his shoulder swiftly and glarred slightly.* Hey, I didn't know it meant there was a heat source nearby Mark so leave her alone alright. No one asked you to follow us anyways. *He barked, lying about not knowing a heat source was nearby. He didn't care if it made him look like a complete idiot as long as it made Evelyns obvious comment look better. When he appologized (though Eric doubted it was because of what he said) he slowly lookedaway.
A moment later Mark pulled on some contraption and after a brief moment of thinking they were all going to die Eric focused on the long tunnel. His brow furrowed and he wondered if anything had happened in the other room.* I better go make sure nothing happened to Rhys in there. *He said and struggled back through the crack, though it did seem somewhat wider now. He was about to go over to Rhys when he heard shouts coming from the cavern and wasn't too worried at first as he couldnt make out what was being said. He simply thought Evy and Mark were at it again but when Emma came sliding down into the hole his heart leapt and right away he felt something was wrong.
He flew back through the crack almost as if it were non existant and looked at Evy slightly confused as there was no sign of Mark. He hadn't a clue what had just went on but figured he would in time. For a moment he pondered asking her if she killed him but when she told him to see if the hole above was accessable he nodded limply and tested it out. When Evy left he glanced down at her but continued to fumble about the hole when suddenly his head poked through it and was surrounded by greenery and blinding sunlight. He blinked and ducked back inside, temporarily blinded he toppled back to the ground with a grunt.
Rushing back to the other room he glanced down at Rhys with a frown and then to Evy.* Hey, we can make it out of that hole in the roof of the cavern with the pool. But there's no way we can get her through there, not like this. She'll have to be hoisted out through here. *He said, glancing up at the others surrounding the hole before looking back at Evelyn to see if she wanted to climb out while the two of them still could. Maybe they'd be of more assistance out of the hole instead of in it.*

Evelyn's eyes glanced Rhys over with pity. The voices above them reassured her that there was help nearby, it was all she needed. Finally, Eric joined her side and she stole a glance towards him before turning back to look at Emma. "Right, well Em, yer welcome to join us on our way out. 'M fairly sure they can 'elp her out here. There's no way we can move 'er, that's for sure." She stated with a slight frown which creased her brows. Somewhere beneath the surface Evelyn was still rather burning from the confrontation she had had with Mark moments ago but she had to release that. There was nothing she could do.
Looking up into the darkness she could only hear Tobbs uttering a few phrases and then stood slowly, dusting the bits of grime off of her. "Right, let's go then Eric. Can' stand bein' in this bloody place any longer." She said, her voice dripping with loathing. Every moment in this small cavern seemed to heavily wear Evy out and her whole being seemed crippled. She walked with a bit more urgency to her step, her voice wavered with slight tremble, her shoulders slumped ever so slightly making her appear even shorter than she was.
For a moment she buried her face in Eric's shoulder and took in a deep, smooth, breath. Her lids closed smoothly, forehead resting upon his shoulder. She was attempting to calm herself, to assuage the anxiety that simply increased within her every moment she spent in this darkened, cramped, place. "Let's get the bloody 'ell out 'f here, please?" she said with a meager attempt at a chuckle.
The air itself seemed to tighten around her and she knew she couldn't last much longer in such a place. Mark had been right with one thing, she supposed she was a bit claustraphobic...or whatever it was he called it. She hated tight spaces that was certain, but she supposed it all linked to her past, and that's where her thoughts ended.
For a moment, Evelyn pondered spilling everything Mark had done to her to the rest of the crew the moment they all were back on the ship. It would no doubt bar him from ever coming back, and if Eric were to know he'd probably want to kill the man himself. At the moment however, she could care less. All she wanted was to leave, leave and never come back...
Her eyes finally opened then and she realized she had been resting upon the wounded shoulder and she cringed slightly as if she too could feel the slight tremor of pain she no doubt inflicted. "Gah, sorry mate. Didn' mean ta do tha'. When we get outta here, I'm gonna 'ave ta look that over again. Being down here dirty an' whatnot must 'ave only made it worse." Evelyn's eyes swept over the wound as it seemed to seep with crimson liquid once more and sighed heavily. Her hand tenderly passed over it before she looked up at him and offered a smile.

(WILLOLAS!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!! SOOOOO HAPPY YOU ISH BACK! AND RIGHT IN TIME FOR APRIL FOOLS FUN! Hehe, welcome back matey, cant wait to bump into you online! And nice short-yet-really-really-long-post..... )
Tobbs waited impatiently for everyone to get into place. She too was feeling rather constrained by the limited space and circumstances they had all fallen into. She eyed Iniko once more before setting her entire focus on getting Rhys out.
"Alright people, we need to hurry and get this done...I need ta be gettin' back to the ship soon before we all strangle eachother! If we 'ave one of ye carry 'er up with 'em on the rope, with another's assistance when it comes to pushing up, we can get the rest of 'er from up 'ere. Or per'aps we can lift 'er up in a laying position, with two people pushing 'er up and the others gabbing 'er when she's up? Or...gah, any other ideas?"

((ooc: Woot glad ye liked my wee bit of a post earlier Tobbsy! *Looks around slowly at the site and blinks a few hundred times with mouth wide open* Erm...meep? lol))
*Eric smiled swiftly in Emmas direction when Evelyn suggested that she should come along instead of staying behind with Rhys as there was nothing those in the hole could do for her anyhow. As they walked Evelyn suddenly burried her face in his shoulder and he could tell instantly she was trying to keep from freaking out on them all. He grinned out of one side of his mouth, trying not to wince as her hand landed upon the wound and stroked her dark tendrils for a moment, chuckling as she spoke of getting the hell out.* Will do, Evy. *He laughed, shaking his head.
He had known of her fear of small cramped spaces but hadn't a clue just how extensive that fear really was (and since he didn't have a clue what had just happened between her and Mark he continued to assume she was this way because of the cave itself. Eric had always loved smaller spaces simply because it always made him feel secure. When he and his younger sister were only small children they use to hide in a hollow willow tree by a river at the far end of their property. It was where they had gone to get away from their parents and society and make up their own little worlds.
However taking a glance over at the look on Evelyns face he could guess her reasoning for hating things like this. He cast her a warm smile through the dim light and reached out, giving her hand a quick but reassuring squeeze. Her face burried deeper and he inhaled sharply which caused her to quickly lift her head. He rolled his shoulder and pulled it away from her slightly when she mentioned taking another look at it later.* No, no thats alright. Its fine really, doesn't hurt at all anymore. *He stated quickly with a tone that couldn't even have convinced the village idiot.
He squeezed back through the crack to the small room with the pool and glanced up at the narrow beam of light cascading down from the ceiling. Looking back over his shoulder he smiled and looked back up at the hole a ways above them.* Got up there last time by climbing up the vines on the wall. Seems the best way to do it this time too. Evy you can go first, that way I know you're up. *He said, giving her a look that clearly meant he didnt want to be argued with about who went in what order. He wasn't leaving this cave unless she left it first.*

Evelyn's eyes looked up towards Eric as he rolled his shoulder away from her. His words came in a complete lie and Evelyn could pick it out instantly. "Doesn' hurt at all, does it?" she queried, curving a brow, and rolling her eyes. This only furthered her suspicion and she made it a goal of hers to review the wound once they had reached the outside world again. Evelyn, of anyone, knew her fair share about gunshot wounds. She had suffered two herself, one in the shoulder and one in the shin to know enough of the pain they could give, and had seen enough to know of the ways it can worsen if not taken care of.
At the moment however, she remained merely vigilant. Her gaurd was still raised at the moment with every moment that lurched by in this cave. She followed Eric through the gap and back into the area where the warm spring and waterfalls continued their churning. The heat in the room was now getting to her and a soft, simmering, steam rose from the placid waters licking her skin and brushing her head with dew.
She gave a mischivious smirk remembering back to what Eric had whispered to her before. "Ye know mate...technically speakin', no one's in here now." She suggested, brushing past him towards the cave wall vines, and giving him a grin a nudge. She purposely wanted her skin to brush against his as she moved forward.
As Evelyn approached the vines, her eyes looked them over precariously. Then her eyes lifted to gaze at the hole above them from which a blast of luminous light fell. "Erm, are ye sure ye can get through tha' Eric?" she asked him, lifting a brow, pointing towards it, and then giving a bit of a snort. " 'M not sure if even I can get through tha' thing." She stated in a low tone, moving upwards.
It was then that Evelyn felt the ground shake slightly, the whole cave seemed to rumble in protest, and she jumped. "What the bloody 'ell?" she stated, her voice echoing as she gazed around. A panic seemed to rise within her then again and she bit her lip. "Well I 'ope everyone else gets out alright..." She began as she began climbing the vines. " 'Xcept fer Mark 'f course...bloody bastard...thinks he can bloody..." she murmered beneath her breath.
She could care less where the man wound up now. For what he did to her, in her book at least, he deserved to die. He had no clue what the Pearl meant to her and it was just as much her ship as she knew it was. Jack owned it of course, but its not like she was just hanging on the Pearl for the ride. Evelyn's home had been the Pearl and she'd be damned if anyone told her otherwise.

Iniko watched with confusion visible in his eyes as two of the crew in the hole began to walk away from their wounded comrade. The only explanation he could come up with for their actions was the anxiety that being in a hole could cause. He watched them until they disappeared from his site, and he shook his head. "Why they leave her?" he asked the woman standing next to him.
This woman herself was complex and he knew that it would take him sometime to figure her out. She had at first nearly attacked him and now she was being almost friendly. He would need to understand her and do it soon.
"Well they go, but I go help her," he said. Without warning he turned and jumped into the hole. He landed knees bent to take the shock and stood up. One pirate remained but he waved her off, "Go on, I take her!" He smiled disarmingly and moved toward the limp body on the floor. He quickly grabbed the rope hanging down and began to tie it around the woman's waist.

Tobbs was growing nervous by the second. Watching Evy and Eric exit safely, she ushered Eizabeth over to grab the end of the rope. When Iniko jumped down, she braced the rope in her hands and called down.
"Alright, you climb those vines with 'er in yer arms, and we'll 'elp with the weight by lifting the rope while you move. Savvy? Ready? One...two...THREE!!"
Pulling very carefully with Elizabeth, the two managed to help Iniko climb the vines with success, and finally the man and the limp form of Rhys came out of the hole. Helping him get her entirely out, she untied the woman's waist and glanced down the hole once more.
"Emma? Rick? Ya two down there? The vines are steady...we'll tie a rope to a nearby rock to 'elp you balance out, but for now, I've got to get back with Rhys to the ship. Elizabeth's goin' with me, so we'll meet you there!"
With that, Tobbs nudged Iniko and readied herself to lift up Rhy's legs. Iniko moved to the front of her, and Elizabeth went along the pirate's side. With a brief pause and an obvious nod, the three lifted her and began quickly heading out of the cave....
It had taken quite a bit of time to get back to the ship, but nonetheless, they'd reached it. Tobbs wondered about Eric, Evy, Emma, and Rick, contemplating going back when Rhys was cared for. When they'd gotten on deck, Tobbs gestured for the cabin Rhys occupied and they headed down towards it.
Laying the woman upon the bed of the room, Tobbs watched as Elizabeth began cleaning up Rhy's wounds and washing off the dirt from the cave. Sighing tiredly, she began to help, glancing at Iniko as she worked.
"Now then, Iniko, was it? What do you intend on doing aboard this ship?"

Surprisingly it was rather easy going. The wounded woman was rather light for her size and seemed to be just skin and bones. He found it rather simple to climb out of the hole with her and did so with ease and skill. They were out of the hole rather quickly and she was laid on the ground comfortably.
With the help of the two women pirates he picked up Rhys and they began the long treck back to the ship. He was directed to carry the woman to her cabin where she was deposited on her bunk and the quieter of the two women began to look after her.
Quite unexpectedly he was asked a question. What did he intend to do now that he was on the ship? He nearly snorted in response, if it wasn't out of character he would have said that he had come to spy on them for Selina, or that he intended to sabotage all their plans. But he had to remain in character. He lowered his green eyes to the deck and answered softly, "I hoped to see the lady well again, but if you don't want I leave now." He began to shuffle towards the door, hunched over in a bit of a cowering manner, hoping to bring out the pity he had grasped once before.

Tobbs watched the man cower again and heard the lingering traces of sorrow in his voice. She bit her lip in thought. She never let herself feel sorry for someone else, or allow pity to take ahold of her...but for the life of her, she couldnt shake the feeling off...
Sighing and watching his continual shuffling to the door, she finally stood and quickly grabbed ahold of his arm. It was at first a rather tight grasp that somewhat jerked him to a stop. She realized this, and sowly she softened ehr hold on the man, taking her hand away from it as she scolded herself for even touching Iniko.
"Iniko...you can stay, alright? If you can, stay with Elizabeth an' 'elp finish caring for Rhys. I need to find the cap'n and ask 'im if you can stay..."
She'd realized the amount of gentleness he'd just seen she had towards him and she immediately tensed. Her eyes narrowed a bit and she glanced back at Elizabeth.
"Keep an eye on 'im, Elizabeth. 'e brings you any trouble, give me a shout and we'll make sure 'e not only gets off this ship, but 'e won't be able to walk aboard one ever again....that understood Iniko?"
Tossing her hair over her shoulder and brushing past him with a bit of force, she began her ascent towards the captain's quarters. Pausing in her stride, she made sure to mention one more question.
" 'ey, you! Iniko! Just remember I'm watching you, savvy?"

Iniko found himself being pulled to halt by a tight grip on his arm. He slowly raised his eyes to look at the hand that loosened slightly. It was the pirate, Tobbs, he thought her name was. It looked as if he had found her weakness. She took pity on him and from now on he would be able to malnipulate her. He had to fight to keep the grin from his face, as he stared at the floor. Her warning on her way out did not do much to frighten him, just let him knew he had to watch his step.
He moved towards the woman kneeling next to the unconcious woman. "What I do to help?" he asked unsure of what to do. "Her name Rhys?" he asked a second question. The name rang a bell, but he could not place it. He scanned her features over, she seemed so familiar. Blue eyes and red hair, where had he seen that before?
That was when his mind clicked. Avery. This was his sister, this was why Selina had not wanted Avery to know where he was going. Iniko knew that the man would protect his sister with his life. He had to keep her in the dark. If she found out he knew her brother his cover would be blown. Espeically if she knew that he was a cabin mate with her brother, in fact the one that usually had to go into Tasha's cabin and pull him away from the woman. Actually, he thought, if she knew that she might die from shock. He could not keep from looking at her, and the only explanation he could give Elizabeth, the woman next to him was, "She pretty, what happened?"

Elizabeth had carefully wrapped a bandage around Rhys's head where her forehead had been injured and just managing to include the back section that was bleeding. She'd cleaned the pirate up and was now tending to clean and wrap up wounds. Her next focus was the woman's leg. Scooting down and glancing at Iniko, her brow rose in curiosity when she noted his interested stare at Rhys.
When she'd rolled up the lower portion of the injured one's pants to fully expose the injury, Elizabeth began cleaning it. Ignoring the compliment as she knew he'd said that to explain his stare she'd caught, she heard Iniko's words but didn't glance over at him-she was focused.
"Well, Rhys had been brave enough to stand up to a thief alone. She had grown weak, I think, over the past few days and too much effort to hrut the man must have caused her to obtain all these injuries. She's resting now; that's both a helpful sign and a troublesome one. She should wake up soon....but if she doesn't, I'm afraid..."
Trailing off with her thoughts, Elizabeth pushed the ideas of some kind of deep coma coming over the brave woman away. She wrapped the leg wound and wiped off her hands, looking back up to Iniko.

"I'll be fine," she muttered as Rhys's eyes fluttered open. She could not recognize the voice or the people sitting in front of her. Nor did she recognize the room she was in. Her hand immediately flew to the dagger at her hip. She shot up and skooted away from the pair, putting her back against the wall.
"Or atleast I will once you tell me where I am and who you are," she said coldly. This had to be another trick. Well no matter what, this time she would fight to the death if she had to. She was not going to let them take her again. This was the last straw! She could not take it anymore.
"If you want me you'll have to kill me! I refuse to let it happen again! You can not go using me over and over!" she yelled her and clamping around her dagger and she pulled it loose and held it between them. "If you come any closer I'll cut you so that you'll never move again." Blue eyes glared at the pair warning them of the truth in her statement. Yet her eyes showed confusion and fear as well. Not fear of death, but fear of the two in front of her.

To get a few things straight...Elizabeth was thrilled to hear the woman's voice. She also wasn't one who was quick with a sword or able to take down an entire British Army with weapons (now with her words, she most deifnitely could!) She could definitely defend herself if the cause called for it, but she was certainly not ready for what Rhys had done.
Jumping back in shock, Elizabeth somewhat fell behind Iniko, locating a small glass jar she could use to knowck the woman out again, if need be. She spoke up a bit shakily.
"Rhys, calm down. It's Elizabeth! You know, Will Turner's wife? The friend of your captain, Jack Sparrow? You were injured and went unconscious....and...
She realized that rhys knew nothing of what she was saying. Whispering to Iniko, she spoke seriosuly and firmly.
"Iniko...she must have lost her memory of what happened...it'll fade, but not for awhile. I need you to get that dagger away from her....think you can do that? If not, she'll hurt herself...or worse..."
