*she kept walking and the sounds of fighting died out. though she refrained from looking over her shoulder. After sever more moments walking it becam faintly apparent she wasn't going to be follwed. Her brow creased but she kepopt going. "Well what did you bloody well expect? " She told herself Climbing the nearest tree she could find. She sat up in it's branches looking for all the world like a spoiled little girl who had just been told no. She huffed slightly as she sat in the branches, moving her hand through the leaves. After a while Elizabeth excused herself from Will. She seen Cara climb the tree and knew enough to know she wasn't intending on coming down any time soon without being talked to.. "Cara?" She called up into the tree.
"Go away...." Cara called down in a sulky voice.

Duinorwen stretched as the sunlight came through the branches.she ran a hand through her hair a few times, then stood up,straightened her tunic, and jumped down from the tree, wondering where everyone else was.
Just then there were sounds like those of a fight.Duinorwen swore beneath her breath as she dashed over to the soursce of the nose.Sure enough,Cara was walking off and Jack and Legolas were standing rather apart from each other, both looking dishevveled. She stepped into the courtyard."What happened this time?"she asked, quite sure that she knew the answer already.
"He started it," Legolas insisted, pointing to the pirate who was now speaking with the Hobbits and Mithrandir.Duinorwen sighed, leaning back againsty a tree.
"Keep this up,Legolas, and I might have to tell your father," she said silkily.
Legolas paled.

"You sure you want to stay up in that tree all day?" Elizabeth Called up to Cara.
A sullen. "actually yes I was contemplating just that actually." Was all she recieved in reply. Elizabeth hd to laugh. This Elf had it bad for Jack all right. "He's not gonna come crawing over here to say he's sorry you know?" She called up gently teasing.
"What makes you think I thought anything of the sort?" The petulance in the elf's voice amused Elizabeth to no end. Merely because she knew that was exactly how she sounded to her father when she didn't get her own way as a child.
"Oh just the fact that your busy sulking when we should be getting ready to leave?"
"So?" Elizabeth did burst out laughing then.
""You must've been very spoiled growing up."
"Not spoiled just well loved." Cara said suddenly dropping to the ground and landing in a crouch next to Elizabeth. An amused smile playing across her lips. Elven children are not spoiled."
"Whatever you say Caradain..." Elizabeth grinned at her taking the elfs arm in a sisterly like way as they walked back to the others. Cara eyed Jack up and down as she passed him and the hobbits then leaned back against the railing next to Elizabeth.
"So what makes you think that I was spoiled when I was young?" Little did the otherworlder mortal woman know that when her mother's sister had taken her in after her parents deaths Cara would have recieved any and everything she could have wanted had she just asked. Her aunt had told her so on numerous occassions, and was always flustered and frustrated when the only reply Cara would give her was 'All I want is mine Ada and Naneth to come back....' Though that wasn't to say her aunt didn't try as best she could to lavish upon the young elf maiden as she grew up. It was apart of the reason Cara had left when she had turned eighteen. Though that was many thousands of years ago now.
"Because that's what I sound like when I don't get my way and I know for a fact I was spoiled rotten." Elizabeth grinned.

Duinorwen was leaning against a nearby tree, whetting her dagger. She looked up to the assembled people."This is everyone, right? So when are we leaving?"
Gandalf smiled in the manner of an old friend."Patience.We will be ready to leave soon enough."
The Elf sighed, sheathing the dagger and walking over to where a halfling was brushing the coat of a pony. She produced an apple from somewhere, feeding it to the pony."He is quite lovely, what is his name?"she asked the Halfling.
Sam looked up at the Elf woman, now stroking Bill the Pony's mane."B-bill,"he stammered.
"And yours?"
"Samwise Gamgee, milady."Duinorwen managed to contain her laughter.
"Not milady. My name is Duinorwen,Duin if you prefer. It is a pleasure to meet you,Samwise."
"Sam."
"Sam it is,then."

Jack gave Gandalf a funny look as the wizard began chuckling.
"What?" He demanded.
"I have never seen the young prince show any signs of aggression towards any living being....save enemies of the free people....but you certainly seem to bring out the worst in him....." Jack's face fell, and he looked cestfallen, but Gandalf waved his hand. "But it may do him so good in the end as well my young friend...."
Jack wasn't sure why this show of grudging approval meant so much to him but it did. Gandalf continued.
"However....enjoyable as it may be to enrage the elf prince into fighting....we must remember we are on a journey together.....and need to work together.........can you manage that Captain Sparrow?"
Jack grinned a bit then nodded.
"Alright......but if he starts it I'm not backing away....savvy?"
"Oh no...by all means, do continue...it was rather entertaining after all....." Jack just grinned.

Cara listened to the conversation between Jack and Gandalf without turning her head and sighed. "Well at least perhaps the two of them will behave themselves slightly better from now on." She told Elizabeth who laughed lightly.
"Jack behave himself? Then again it is nice to hope." She looked towards Jack and smiled as he gave her a glance. "Oh Jack you know I only say it out of love." Elizabeth giggled, before turning to her husband and laying her head on his shoulder.
"Aye and hope I shall, and if I'm lucky I won't be disappointed." Cara muttered under her breath before approaching Duin and Sam. She laid her hand lightly on the ponies neck. "Sam I know you love this creature, but I don't know how long we shall be able to travel with him, do you really think it is wise to bring him? Sam looked at her with imploring eyes and sighed. She had been the second person to ask him that this morning.
"Milady..."
"Please, call me Cara." She interrupted.
"Cara, If I don't bring him he'll come along anyhow, I just knows it.."
"Very well Sam, Bill shall come for as long as he may." The group turned to Aragorn as he motioned for their attention.
"Everything's settled, let's move out." He said, leading the way.

Jack followed Aragorn, walking along as if he knew what he was doing. The ranger looked at the pirate, who was a few inchs shorter then himself.
"Care to lead?" He asked the pirate. Jack paused a second, offended. Was it everyone's job in this place ot make him feel useless and completly stupid? The ranger grinned.
"I was only joking...." The ranger said calmly, Jack still frowned. "It was amusing to see Legolas so angered....he so rarely shows emotion at all...." The pirate grinned, but all the same stepped back a few paces, his shoulders a bit hunched over. He hated not knowing what he was doing...or at least not knowing the land he was in.
With a frown he let the others walk by him, and took up the rear of the line, silently for once.

Cara fell in along Sam and Duin as they moved out, notincing Jack walking nearly stride for Stride with the Ranger who'd taken the lead. The conversed a bit and She noted Jack seemed to fall a bit crestfallen. She kept silent but continued to watch as he fell back in the line, his shoulders slightly hunched. After a few moments she fell behind to walk alongside him. "Care to tell me what's bothering you?" She asked softly. A small look of concern flitting across her features.

Jack frowned.
"Nothing." He said simply. "It's nothing...." His voice said clearly that this wasn't a subject he wanted to continue. With a glance at Cara he gave her a ghost of a grin. " Fine morning....."

Cara noded slightly. Ok so he doesn't want to talk about it. She shrugged it off. She could understand that well enough. She looked up at the grey blue, but clear winters sky, there was a bite to the air and she pulled her cloak closer about her. "Aye, a fine morning indeed, but a bit chill for my tastes." She replied with a smile, eyeing the others that had appeared wiht them. They all seemed to nbe looking about the area in awe. "I take it you don't have many forests, or mountains where you're from?"

"No.....beaches and oceans and some ports...nothing along ht lines of large trees or fields....." Jack answered a bit, and he had ot admit...this place did have a sort of mellow and yet dramtic beauty the ocean could never have....something about the living earth and trees....
"It really is nice...but...the sea......it's my home..."

Cara smiled understandingly. "I know the feeling, it took a lot to make me leave the Sea Force division of the Army. The promise of a sergeantcy actually, followed quickly by the captancy. Though to this day I miss the call of the sea birds and the salt spray in my face." She looked about at the lands surrounding them as they walked. "But the earth does hold a beauty all her own. I pray our mission is succesful, for if the halfling fails not even the powers of the elves can save this from the ruination of the dark lord." A sudden chill ran down her spine as she spoke, and her eyes closed briefly.

"About this dark lord person...." Jack began. "Why hasn't anyone killed him yet?" He spoke as if this threat was merely a problem easily dealt with, and apparently he even felt this mission was a bit much for the destroying of a single ring.
"Seems like a lot of trouble......don't get me wrong...curses and magic...I've seen my fair share of it....but nothing like this....."

She sighed heavilly. "of course you would not know as you were not born here as I was." She said, controlling her shivers. "The dark Lord, Sauron the deciver, was once a powerful Maia, one of the most powerful being in all of arda asides from the Vala and Illuvitar himself. This ring we go off to destroy, it is no mere trinket Jack." She turned to him, her eyes showing the first traces of genuine terror he had seen from her. "It is a ring of power, and the deciver forged it in the fires of Mount Orodruin. Into it he poured all his hate and malice of the free peoples of Middle earth. His wish for domination and absolute power. Part of his very being lies in this ring and without it he is only half of what he could be. He can not be killed Jack. He was defeated once, long ago in the very year of my birth. But his spirit merely fled and lay in hiding waiting until such a time as he could come once more into power. The ring should have been cast into the fires of mount doom then, but men are weak, and the ring was allowed to survive." She fell quiet momentarily as she notice Aragorn look back on her. "The ring was lost for many generations," she continued when he turned away. "Now that it has been found, the very balance of good and evil lies in the succes, or failure, of our mission."

"No pressure at all...." Jack said trying to break that tensness. "Well...." He touched the ring he held around his neck. "And this little thing here.......might have something to do with it then?" He said curiously.
He could see the fear in her face and hated to see it there, but didn't know what ot say. This wasn't his home, and it wasn't his time.....he was out of place completly.
