Jack watched Cara leave, then sat down, closed his eyes and listened. He could hear singing.elves no doubt......he made a mental note to teach them some of his song one day.......it'd be a change from this heavenly singing....it was nice...but without words he could understand the beauty was lost on the pirate.

Duinorwen waved at Cara, acknowleding her prescence. She was singing right now.Her voice always surprised new aquaintances, even though she was an Elf-no one expected a warrior to be able to sing. She had written this song-it was soft and slow, and full of a potent sorrow. She drew out a few last notes and walked over to Cara."Not tired?"

She smiled at Duin as she approached and sigh slihgtly. "Not especially mellon nin." They sat in silence for a small while. "That was a lovely song Duin. I knew not you followed a bards calling?" She looked about the chamber noting Legolas and Will talking like ol friends, and Arwen and Elizabeth following suit. "It seems the otherworlders are fitting in rather well." Then her eyes fell on Norrigton who stood with a rather sullen look on his face. "well most of them at least." She said with a slight smile.

Duinorwen laughed a bit."One would not expect it of me,I suppose. But I have always loved music."She followed Cara's gaze to the mortals, with a slight sigh."You know,I may be going soft, but I'm almost tempted to feel sorry for that Norrington person. It's obvious he's not used to people not looking up to him. This has to be a very...odd situation."

Cara nodded sympathetically. "I can partially understand how he feel's. He is a man of military if I've ever seen one. Sometimes the military has a way of becoming your whole life. You devote every waking hour to it. You become used to respect and authority. Imagine having that taken from you suddenly, and being thrust into a place where you know no one, and essentially are no one..." She sighed heavily. "I feel I should away to seek my repose Duin." She rises fluidly and smiles at her friend. "I will see thee in the morn." As she passed from the halls she paused Near Norryington, giving him a small bow. "Good evening Commodore." She said softly, he return the bow somewhat shocked, but with a small smile none the less.
"Good eve to you mistress Captain." He said politely. With a last smile Cara made her way to her quarters, though it was many hours before she found rest.

Duinorwen stayed in the hall for some time, singing quietly to herself and anyone who cared to listen. She didn't mind an audience, but she didn't go looking for one, either.
Eventually, she began to feel weariness wash over her.It would be a long day tomorrow...With a sigh, she headed towards Cara's quarters to retrieve her normal clothes, making sure to hang the borrowed dress up neatly. Then she climbed into a nearby tree and sat in the branches, singing herself to sleep.

Ok....so blonde or not this elf had a lot in common with Will Turner. Well....besides looking alike, there was something in the elf's calm voice that made Will trust him. The elf was a good man......even if he didn't seem to like Jack in particular. Then again......Jack seemd to have that effect on people......Will just conversed quietly with the man.
"you're from...where?" He asked.
"Mirkwood" came the calm reply.
"Right...a forest? Have you ever been to the Sea?"
A sort of faraway look came into the elf's eyes.
"No...but I have heard it is a beautiful place......once a elf like myself sees the ocean....we never want to leave again..." Will grinned. So he did like the sea. Well....that was one thing they had in common.....
Elizabeth in the meantime had taken to Arwen almost like a long lost older sister. Atwen spoke of Aragorn as though he were the entire world....And Elizabeth found herself in awe of the elf's devotion....
"But you can live forever.....if you dn't chose to marry him...why give up forever.....?"
"Why live forever without love?" Arwen asked in return. Elizabeth grinned....
Norrington had decided it was time to sleep...and indeed that is what he did.....sleep. He found his way back to his chamber and slept like the dead. Indeed this place was peaceful....even if it was strange.
Jack sighed and shifted in his sleep before waking not more then a hour from when he'd first drifted off into his dreams. Without a ship rolling on waves banth him...he couldn't sleep. Instead he sighed, stood up and climbed down to the ground. Once there he closed his eyes and listened closely. Then he smiled and broke into a run. When he came to the River he sat down under a nearby tree and watched it roll by. The sound of it made him grin and he closed his eyes. It wasn't the Sea but the sound of water would have to do for now if he was to get any form of rest at all.

Cara awoke early in the morn, she had managed no more than two hours sleep but that was more than enough for her. The day had dawned chilly and crisp, the sky a sort of slate blue. As Cara stood in the courtyard where all was being mad ready she pulled her cloak about herself. Elizabeth and Will stood a little ways off there arms about each other. Cara couldn't help smile, they were after all rather cute together. The hobbits stood not far off chattering to each other. Legolas and Gimli were deep in conversation. Norrington seemed rather contemplative that morning and Aragorn was cheeking over their equipment, while Boromir stood brooding in the shadows. Cara did not see any sign of Duinorwen or Jack for that matter as of yet. She was beginning to worry slightly, not over Duin, She knew she could take care of herself. But over Jack, she was just beginning to ponder whether she should go search him out...

Jack was awoken by the sun striking him in the fce. He blinked, growled at the sun for rising as it should, then stood and loked around. The sound of water had kept him asleep soundly. Then he blinked again.....where was everyone. He swaggered through the woods as if idea of being lost to everyone else didn't matter to him.
But he figured he may as well give that twitchy elf legolas a warning that he was coming........he didn't fancy the idea of getting shot through the head with a arrow.....so he burst into a loud rendition of "Pirate's life for me" in a rather cheerful voice.

Just as she was about to go pirate hunting she heard his familar voice singin the self same song he had nearly driven her nuts with the day before. Funny thing was instead of scowling and shaking her head like Legolas, she was actually grinning over it. " And here I was worried he'd get lost." She said.
"I could only HOPE he'd have gotten lost." Boromir Said from his place in the shadow. Legolas seemed to snicker a bit at this. She arched an eyebrow to the two of them.
"You know Legolas I would expect that sort of thing from the steward son.... But not a fellow elf." Cara said coldly, surpricing the Elven Prince almost seemed chastised by the comment. Nodding somewhat satisfactorily Cara leaned back against the railing. her somewhat villowed blouse sleves being blown lightly by the wind. Her usually Forest green riding jacket was hanging over the railing at her side leaving the flounced blouse and tapestry boddice she usually wore beneath it in plain view.

Jack stopped short when he came up on the lot of them, gave them all a grand sweeping bow.
"A fine morning to all of my mates!" He said in upraised cheery tones. He glanced at Legolas, saw the almost confused look on his face and grinned over at him. "What? Still have not gotten used to my singing? Well.....blame Miss Elizabeth...she was the one who taught me after all....." Then went up to Cara and tilted his head to one side studying her a moment.
"You look....positivly radiant..." He said this with a tone of overly sugared politeness..........but there was a tone of sincerity he certainly hoped she caught.....then he walked over to Will and grinned at him.
"Some place huh? How have you and your...erm.." he jerked his finger at Legolas. "blonde twin getting along?"
"Just fine, Jack." Came Will's reply. Jack grinned.
"Good...found out I dont have a twin.....looks like eunuchs are special here..." Jack ducked a playful swing coming his way from Will....and danced back out of the way towards Cara.
"Good morning.." He stated again.

She chuckled under her breath at the look he recieved from Legolas. It would appear that Master Jack Sparrow had awoken in a positively good mood that morning. She looked at him somewhat quizically as he approached her and noted a certain sugary sweetness to his voice as he paid her a compliment, yet at the same time it sounded sincere. The result was her blushing nearly to the tips of her ears. Aragorn looked over in there direction and laughed under his breath, continuing to pack everything. While Legolas looked completely confused. Cara was barely recovering from her bout of crimsoness when Jack approached her once more. "And a fine morning to you as well." She said managing a bright smile.

Jack grinned, sort of proud he'd broken the elf's composure enough to make her blush, then laughed a bit, before going over to Legolas. The elf visiblly cringed as the pirae drew near. As if he couldn't stand the very thought of being in the pirate's pressence.
"So....Will number two..." Jack began. "How is your almighty blondeness doing this morning?" Legolas's eyes flashed with pent up anger. Aragorn saw it coming and stepped in.
"Sleep well?" He asked the pirate. Who looked up at the ranger. It was all legolas needed. In a flash the irritated elf and the bewildered but easily pissed pirate were involved in a sort of all for one wrestling match.
Yelps and hisses and some curse words that need not be repeated swamped the clearing, causing all present for a moment to sit and stare in shock, before reacting.

Cara blinks in confuzzlement a moment before attempting to take some what control of the situation. "Ok now really gentlemen we don't need to be.... Legolas let go of.... Jack will you please? Could you both!" She was beginning to get highly frustrated by this time and decided talking was getting her nowhere. So she started attempting to get between the two, not really a very bright idea, and one that led to her being somewhat toussled and tossed aside. "Oh Really now!" She huffed straightening herself out. "Aragorn?" The Ranger merely looked at her and shrugged. She looked towards Will who did much the same thing. Boromir stepped forward slightly as if he would be more than happy to put Jack in his place and Cara merely scowled. She looked on the two who were still tussling. "If theyre going to be like that then I'm going. Tell the children when they are done fighting they can come find me themselves." She said haughtily before walking off in the opposite direction.

Jack and Legolas were quite possibly having one of the most intesting "epic" battles of Middle Earth really. It was rather amusing if one can picture a elf and a pirate fighting like a pair of children. Even Jack was beginning to see the humor in it. In fact he sort of began laughing....which only served to annoy the elf further.
legolas swore loudly in a languge Jack didn't understand. But Jack knew cursing when he heeard it. It was all about the timing, tone and delivery of the words. He burst into laughter as the elf aimed for his jaw.
"Now really.....no need to resort to name calling!" Jack laughed, and tackled the elf. Legolas looked pissed beyond words at the moment, which made Jack laugh that much worse. He got up and held his sides, before reaching out to the bewildered lf and tugging him to his feet. "Thanks mate........needed that......." He patted the elf good naturedly on his shoulder and strode off. The elf blinked...looking distinctly ruffled an confused.
Jack was hoping to rustle up some of those midget........hobbit things. He found the two called Merry and Pippin........well he stumbled over Pippin and Merry landed nearby. Jack frowned. "You two..........." he growled out and sat up. "So........about this trip we're taking.......where are we going?" he asked them. Gandalf came up near them and laughed.
"Good morning..." The wizard said in a rumbling baritone that made Jack eel both honored and utterly humbled at once.
