Jack was not exactly enjoying his stay here. He was used to being the one playing with people's minds, not the other way around. He only gave a slight grunt and walked past the gates as if this were his own personal property, all the while looking for something to do. Damn the pixies and their rum stealing ways.
He grumbled, but soon found a new source of intense amusement. Elves. Lots of them. Wearing robes.....as was normal in Rivendell...even for the men...but Jack...being Jack, burst into peals of laughter.
"Will!" He shouted. "look at this! They're wearing dresses! There's a whole city of eunuchs!" He grinned, going up to the nearest one, and looking him over. The elf looked extremly uncomfortable by the invasion of the stange human. Jack grinned broadly. "and here I thought you were the only eunuch I knew Will..." He laughed harder, and despite the warning...Jack's habit of destroying any sense of order kicked in and he was off, practically sending the peace of Rivendell through the roof with his loud humming. Because hey...he'd only been warning not to sing....there was nothing againest humming

Cara got a very worried look on her face as "captain" Jack walk into the council ahead of everyone else and of all thing stared accusing the male elves of wearing dress and calling them Eunuchs. "I'm going to kill him Duin I swear I am!" She said rushing in to find him Staring down Elrond. THe elven lord looking rather uncomfortable. She groaned loudly as jack capered off humming and bowed profusely. "My apologies my lord, I shall contain him." She said taking off after the mortal, grabbing his shoulder and pulling him about to face her, swiftly slapping him in the process. "I told you to be quite! Do you realize my Job is at stake for even bringing you here?"

"Don't think I deserved that....." Jack muttered then grinned. "Well...you brought us here....not me lass...." He looked over his shoulder at the elves. "And it's nt my fault they're wearing dresses either...." He seemed to consider this a while. "You know...I think they need my rum more then they do...if i could find it I'd give them some of my own...."
Jack smiled at Cara, then seeing she was serious frowned. "If you get me out of here I promise to behave my little onesy, savvy?" He said with a grin. "On me honor as a good pirate....well...a good man anyway...."

Duinorwen,who had been watching Jack passively,tapped him on the shoulder.She put a hand behind her back,and revealed the flask of rum,holding it just beyond his reach."Be a good....whatever you are...and stop calling the Elves eunuchs...and there's a chance of you getting this back."Her eyes flashed dangerously."There's none of this around here,you know.This is the only...what was it...rum?Yes,rum....this is the only rum in Middle Earth.And I daresay I could drink it all and not feel a thing..."She held it just out of Jack's reach,watching him squirm.

She looked at him, opened her mouth to say something, thought better of it, the decided to say it anyways. "I don't know whether your good or not, but we could always find out." She seemed to realize what it was she had just said then blushed profusely clearing her throat, and pretending as if nothing had happened. She still wasn't happy about the comment about the dresses and she narrowed her eyes at him and harrumphed loudly. "Oh if you weren't so...." she huffed and didn't finish the statement. "Fine I'll do my best to see what I can do. " She told him walking back towards Elrond muttering. "Blasted mortal I don't even know why I'm troubling myself with him. He's not worth it." She paused a moment and looked back towards him. "Still he's the most intriguing thing I've seen thing I've seen this side of Lothlorien. And he reminds me of Jaye." She shook her head sadly remembering the only mortal, the only person in general she had ever loved. "Quit with your foolishness Cara." She told herself sternly shooting him one last glance before bowing low to Elrond once more. Forgive me Lord I apologize porfus...."
"Caradain Alexia Laeros, please remind me of what the function of the captain of The Rivendell Defence is supposed to be?" Elrond told her sternly. Cara flinched slightly.
"To prevent the breeech or Rivendell by unknown intruders m'lord." She said softly, a look of chastisement on her face.
"Indeed and what do you call THIS!" He motioned to the humans. Cara bowed her head and cringed.
"I'm sorry Lord it was unexpected...." She pleaded
"Unexpected or not it is uncalled for, give me one good reason I shouldn't strip you of your title this instant. Cara cast her head to the side nearly in tears.
"I'm sory lord, please I will do anything to redeem myself. They only wish to return to where they came from." She begged her aqua eyes shinning with unshed tears. "The human. the troublemaker, he has a ring Nearly Identical to that of the halflings lord." She said in desperation to redeem herself.
"What?" Elrond said in interest.
"Aye my lord, it is like that of the one, ionly there are subtle differences."
"IF what you say is true Cara we may have to send him with the Fellowship of the nine. And if we do, then I charge you to go with them."
"But My, M'lord..." Cara Stammered.
"No buts Caradain, if I must send them then you are to go with them, is this understood?"
"Yes m'lord." Cara said resignedly casting a glance to Jack that seemed to say "Now what have you gotten me into?

Jack gave Cara a ridiculously innocent smiel,and she was tempted to walk back over and slap him again.She most likely would have,were they not in the prescence of Elrond.She cleared her throat and attempted to speak to him again."Is there not any...simpler way to send them back where they came from,m'lord?"she asked.
"If you have one,I would be delighted to hear it,"he replied.
Cara grimaced as she shook her head."No?What should I do with them now?"

"You keep them out of trouble as best you can untill the fellowship is ready to depart. Preperations shall take a while, and you'd best make sure he keeps himself under control." Elronds eyes flicker towards Jack a moment. "Thankfully our proceedings were nearly at a conclusion before this... Disrption." Elrond replied. "You shall be traveling with the halflings that arrived here a few days ago, The prince of Mirkwood, The wizard Mithrandir, The Dunedain Aragorn, A man of Gondor named Boromir, and a Dwarf, Gimli son of Gloin. BUt the outsider mortals are solely your responsability. Remeber the mission the halfling is on is a dangerous one, and you are to make sure they do not jeapordize it in any way. Especially THAT one. Elrond pointed to Jack, who grinned and waved as if he had done nothing wrong in the world. Cara sighed vehemently.
"Lord could not csomeone else...."
"NO!" Elrond said sternly. "You are the one who brought them here it is up to you to finnd out the nature of this ring the mortal carries and how to send them whence they belong." Cara nodded slightly and wished she had never gone out on patrol this morning.
"Yes m'lord..." She walks, her head held high, over to Duin. If she had to babysit a lot of outlandish mortals she wouldn't let it get to her. "So I don't suppose there's any hopes of talking you into coming with me is there?' She said to the auborn haired Elf.
Meanwhile Will sidled over to Jack as The blonde elf and the dark haired one were speaking. "I think you got her into trouble..." He suggested mildly. Jack merelyshrugged unscrewing the top to his regained flask of rum and taking a swig. "Do you enjoy annoying her?" Will continued, but for some reason Jack seemed immensely interested in his flask. Will shook his head figuring the man would talk when he was ready, and went to stand near Elizabeth.
"That man is incorrigble!" She said in a heated whisper her eyes indicating Jack. "Did you see how much trouble that poor girl got into?"
"She seemed capable of handling herself love." Will responded.
"That's not the point.... Oh MEN!" She huffed storming off on her own.
"Elizabeth!" Will called off following after her. There was now telling where she could get herself lost at in this place. NOrrington looked about in confusion for a few moments before returning to his normal attitude and striding over to Jack.
"Well I hope your happy Mr. Sparrow." He said in a smug manner.
"And why does everything gotta bloody well be my fault?! SHE'S the one what started this in the first place!" Jack said exasperatedly pointing at Cara.

Duinorwen watched with interest as Cara and Elrond spoke.When Cara spoke to her,she laughed."My apologies....I would love to,but the king told to come straight back..."she paused.Since when had she followed orders?She sighed,thinking of her days long ago,when she wandered middle-earth with no regard for orders.She grinned at Cara mischeviously."However...arrangements could be made...After all...my mission was to stay with the Prince and protect him...wasn't it?"Though he barely needs protecting,he's as strong a warrior as I...
Cara smiled back at her friend."Thank you,Duin..."Just then,the younger humans walked off.She sighed in exasparation.Couldn't they all stay in one place?She was supposed to be keeping an eye on them...Cara decided that the young ones didn't seem to be as much trouble as the other two."Be a dear and watch these two while I find the others,"she said to Duinorwen,and walked off in the direction Will and Elizabeth had gone.
Duinorwen smikled,obviously aware of Cara's motives.Jack pointed at Cara's retreating back,telling Norrington that it had been all her fault.Duin strode over to the humans,arms crossed.
"All right,mortals...play nice..."She smirked.

Jack, for the tme appeared to be enjoying the general chaos he was causing....in fact, he was fairly happy about all this mess...it was making Norrington cringe...whoo hoo!
He twisted the new ring on his finger, then wandered off to see what else he could get into....and no sooner was this thought out of his head when he bumped into something...check that...someone.....
What he bumped into was by all accounts a midget. Unknowingly it was Frodo Baggins. The little creature looked up at him with a mixture of shock and confusion on his face. Jack bent down and oered a hand.
"Sorry mate...didn't see you...you're a bit....short...."

CAra ran off after the human pair, leaving Duin to take care of The other two. "Perhaps this is all a dream and I'll wake up only to realize morning patrol hasn't even started yet." She told herself. "Not bloody likely" She growled as she came up on the two young ones. The male obviously trying to apologize for some imagined slight and the female obviously ignoring him. "I take it you two are apir bonded?" Cara asked coming up behind them. The male gave her a quizicall look, but the female rolled her eyes at him and stepped forward.
"She means married Will." She said sharply as she passed her husband and offered the elf her hand. "And yes we are I'm Elizabeth Turner, and this is my Husband William Turner. Also I'm afraid I must apologize for our Companion Jack's behaviour. He's slightly.... Rough around the edges if you catch my meaning."
"That's the understatement of the cetury." Cara murmured as she took Elizabeth's hand

Around this time Legolas came walking up behind Frodo and saw Jack knock him down...on accident of course. But the elf saw this as a threat of some sort from the funny smelling human.
"Halt where you are!" Legolas shouted. Jack blinked and turned around, looking at the elf and recognizing some major similarities between his friend Will and this elf. In fact so close was the resemblance Jack stood speechless for a moment and that was saying something.

As cara aquianted herself with Elizabeth she heard from a distance Legolas' voice demanding a halt of some sort. She rolled her eyes profusely before saying with a sigh. "NOW what kind of trouble has he gotten himself into?" As she rushed back the two young humans close behind her she noted the halfling Frodo rising from the ground, with assistance from the Lord Aragorn and Legolas and Jack locked into a staring match of sort's though the troublesome human seemed somewhat perplexed. NO doubt he had noted the same similarities between his friend and the prince of Mirkwood that she had. It was at that moment the young Human she hadjust been thinking on stepped up and blurted out "HEY HE LOOKS LIKE ME!"

Duinorwen bowed deeply to Legolas,staying motionless until he nodded for her to rise.She then stood straight and tall as ever,staring at Jack."Amazing,my lord," she said."You've managed to make him shut up.More than anyone has been able to do so far..."She held back a smirk at the look on the Prince's face.
"Worry not,my Prince.This man,so far as I can tell,is no threat to the Halfling or anyone else.Perhaps a troublemaker,and by his attatchment to this-"she pulled his flask of rum once more from her quiver,relishing the mortal's obvious annoyance-"most definately a drunk.But mostly harmless."she inclined her head to Legolas respectfully,and he seemed to be slightly less edgy.
Slightly.
He walked around the mortal,piercing eyes fixed on him.Finally,he spoke,not to the man but to the other Elf.
"Who is he?What is his business here?I have not seen garments such as these before...."
Duinorwen was about to reply when Commodorre Norrington stepped in...

Jack turned and grinned at Will, then said loud enough for those in the area to hear him: "My God, the boy eunuch is a genius he is....."
Jack took a few steps towards Legolas, caught the pissed and confused look in the elf's eyes, and held up his hands ot show he was innocent, or at least unarmed. "Easy there pixie man.....I'm not gonna clips your wings or anything..."
And acting as if this settled matters Jack went over to the elf, intent on breaking his space bubble, as was his habit. But the elf would have none of it. Before Jack could really figure out what was happening he was being throw towards a a tree by the overly protective elf. Jack winced on impact but was up in a flash.
"OK...pixie or no...it's now personal..." With that Jack lunged, thus causing a rather active and in many ways humorous wreastling match between pirate and elf.

"Oh for the love of Eru!" Cara exclaimed as Jack and the prince started tussling about the area. "Elrond's going to kill me for this!" She screamed as she ran towards the two, grabbing the first one she could and pulling back, much to her astonishment noting it was not the one she had intended on grabbing int the first place. Legolas looked at her scornfully and she let him go immediately. "My apologies your lordship." She said instantly chastised, before turning towards Jack and shoving him up aginst a nearby tree. "You are more trouble than you are worth mortal!" She seetehed, pinning him against the tree effectively. She was definitely stronger than her petite frame let on. Suddenly a shout rang out loud and clear ditrrected towrds her.
"CARADAIN ALEXIA LAEROS!" Cara cringed visibly and relaxed her grip on Jack.
"I'll deal with you later." She promised before turning to face Elrond. "Yes m'lord?" She said meekly.
