"Ah, probably only a few days, but ye never know and besides..." Evelyn looked to the clouds that rolled and blew their way in turning the skies grey. " it doesn't look like it will be that pleasant of a voyage." Evelyn said looking up at the clouds. She was a bit nervous now. HOpefully nothing would come of them. Any slowing down would give that Mr. Jones time to catch up or even the Spanish Armada. At this point they couldn't slow down. It was full speed ahead or nothin at all. "So, Emma, how'd ye get Rick to stay away from this one? What'd ye tell him?" she asked lifting a brow.

Emma smirked a bit at Evelyn's question, leaning against the railing of the ship."Well...I didn't exactly lie," she said."I just told 'im I was goin' on a short trip with a few friends.Girl stuff."She laughed."Pretty pathetic excuse, really,I suppose he just didn't bother with it out of respect f'r me or somethin'...."she shrugged, looking out again across the waves.Evelyn was right...the weather was beginning to look bad.She looked over the ship.It was in prime condition, which annoyed her slightly at the moment. It meant there was nothing she could fix to keep her mind off of the monotony. With a sigh, she began to pace again, singing quietly to herself.

*Carrie laughed at how Rick had been kept away from this adventure.* "We girl's do need to keep away those men. Now let us ride on, not only for riches, but for glory and godlike power."

There was a roll of thunder like the sound of a low deep drum roll. Evelyn looked up and shook her head. "We don't need this now." she said in a low voice and headed to the main mast where began to climb to the top heading for the crow's nest. The winde picked up and began to whistle and howl. The sails began to flap harshly and in the distance Evelyn saw a flash of lightening hit the seas. The distance was gray, dark, and the seas were becoming choppy and the ship began to the roacked with the waves. A drop of water fell...there was a bad storm brewing...

*Arayel had been standing in the bow of the ship enjoying the feel of the wind in her hair when she noticed the skies darken. A few moments laten a large rolling boom filled the sky. The wind picked up and the sails began to flap with the force of it. Tiny drops of water began to fall from the sky.* Storm's a brewin'. *She muttered pushing away from the railing and heading for the rigging.* WEll come on then maties we got work to be doin' if we're gonna ride this one out. *She said as she began to shorten the sails and secure the rigging for the incoming storm*

Emma looked from Evelyn's face to the sky.Her expression hardened, and she ran to the rigging alongside Arayel, immediately setting to work."Just our bloody luck," she muttered,as the wind whipped her hair in her face. She paused in her work for a moment and scanned the horizon,as if paranoid that another ship would be there.Which of course she was.Emma had never been known for being optimistic. With a sigh, she pulled off her bandanna and stuffed it in her pocket, tying her hair in a low ponytail with a short leather cord and continuing work, now without the hair in her face."Couldn't 'a picked a lovelier day..."

Not far behind them was a smaller Naval ship built for speed and the crew hurried along. They spoke to eachother rapidly. "They're just ahead! Not too far!" came a call from the crows nest of El Nino del Sol. "Good!" a soldier from below called up to him. He had dark hair and eyes. His face was lean and his stature that of a strong sea man. The man made his way to the helm where the captain sat. "Senor Renada." the soldier said and the captain returned his salute. "Yes?" he asked. "We are coming up very close to the pirates and the ship." "Yes, yes, I heard that Luis, but have you seen the weather?" he asked pointing to the skies and the dark heavy clouds that had just reached them. "Yes, but if we press on maybe we can use this to our advantage Senor. Think, they will most definately go the safe route and secure the sails, and if we manage to press on in the storm we could catch up very easily." Luis pressed. The Captain looked at Luis intently and furrowed a brow. "Do you really think so?" he asked him. "Yes, of course and even if we lose them or the ship is overturned, we have the ship behind us La Luz, coming to continue the chase." The captain sighed looking at his map. "Luis, La Luz is about two days behind us, the ship is too large to catch up should we fail." The Captain responded. "Perhaps, but they cannot run for long, sooner or later they will stop, but with this chance of catching up we can save much time..... and money Captain." Luis said winking. The captain twisted his moustache. "Yes...I like your thinking, time we have.....money, we could always use more of that." There was a large crash in the sky and some of the men began to secure the sails. "Alright Luis, give the call, tell them to press on." he said chuckling a bit and manning the helm. Luis went onto the decks and yelled out. "Everybody, we will be pressing on! Keep the sails out!" he grinned. Luis looked off with a grin. Pirates, he had never thought highly of them, or almost never, there was only one exception in his life. There was another call. "Luis! ARe you crazy? That's a storm up ahead!" the man from the crows nest called. "I know Carlos! I hope you have a heavy coat on! It's going to get cold up there!" Luis laughed and the other soldiers chuckled but dreaded trying to press on in the storm that was looking inevitable.

*As they finished re rigging the sails Arayel looked up, taking note of the sails that were cresting the horizon behind them even as the wind wailed and ppicked up in ferocitiy, nearly blowing her plummed cavalier hat from her head. It would have succeeded too had she not caught the hat quickly. Her eyes narrowed as she noticed the ship was travelling much faster than it should be in such weather. She turns on her heel and faces Evelyn.* Umm Evie I think we got company and judging by 'ow fast they're goin' I think they'll catch us up pretty soon. *She turns back holding a hand to shade her eyes* Reckless sons of sea dogs, *she mutters* I don't think they've taken their sails in, they must 'ave a death wish to tempt davey jones like tha'

As she finished tying up the last of the sails,Emma swung down to the deck, landing near the gunwall. She squinted into the distance, then swore loudly.Well, the rest of them had most likely noticed already...she jogged over to where Arayel and Evelyn were talking. She listened to them for a minute, thinking."Well, that don' leave us with many options, now do i'?Th' way I see it,we c'n either 'tempt Davy Jones,' as ye put it,or we c'n stand an' fight.I don' much like the odds either way, chances are they'll outnumber us by a large margin..."She sighed, wondering why Evelyn had chosen to steal an Armada ship.Sure, they were nice generally, but not very maneuverable."So,what'll it be,Ev?Fight or flight?"

"Argh!" Evelyn said angrily looking out to the ship coming from behind. "We'll press on! We can't possibly fight them, they'll definately be outnumberin' us, this way we have some chance of out running them!" Evelyn looked around and headed to the sails once again. "Alright everyone fasten your life lines! Come on, round your waists! We'll need to try and rough this storm out. If they catch us they deserve a fight and if we have to I'm ready to fight to last." she turned to her crew with a solemn face. "And, if ye want, ye can jump ship, take the small boats and head away, I brought you all on this voyage and I don't want ye all in trouble on my account."

"Jump ship?Mate,y'oughta know me better'n tha' by now!"Emma shook her head fondly as she tied on her lifeline. She then dashed across the deck, climbing swiftly into the rigging and letting the sails down once again. The wind was more fierce now-her hair whipped around despite being tied back. She cursed, sparing another glance to the ship behind them."I don' like this..." With a sigh,Emma let down the last of the sails, and slid down the ropes to the deck again. She pulled her bandanna out of her pocket and tied it on for luck, remembering the one who had given it to her...She wondered how he was doing...
~Meanwhile~
It was a lovely day on Tortuga. At least,Rick thought so.One could be confused even about the weather after a sufficient amount of rum.Rick was lying on the beach,a bottle of rum in one hand.He had rings on each finger, and seemed to have bought a new coat, one with more shiny trimmings than his old one.On the ground beside him was a new hat, black with green plumes and silver trim. His boots were the same, but seemed to have been polished.Obviously, his day at the poker tables had gone well.He let out a contented sigh an began to hum, then to sing.
"...a pirate's life for me..."

Evelyn looked out at the ship approaching them. It seems the Spanish Armada had finally caught up with her but she would fight it out. Evelyn was soaked to the bone now and only her long black coat gave her any warmth. She turned and began to give orders out to her crew. "Alright mates! First thing, I want the cannons ready and loaded, I doubt we'll be able to use them, but should they, I want ours to be ready. Second I want everyone's lifelines tight and secure, I will not risk losing any of you due to this voyage, or the storm!" Evelyn had to shout now as the winds were picking up and the ship rocked and crashed into a wave. Evelyn held her footing however by holding onto the gunwalls of the ships. "Thirdly, if the Spanish soldiers surrender," Evelyn looks around at her crew and grins. "I mean, WHEN they surrender, then we shall be giving them quarter. I have already comandeered their ship, I don't want to have too much blood on my hands as well! Although if we capture the ship I say help yourselves to any bounty found. Most importantly, I will be at the helm keeping us on due course, but if they raid our ship let them. We will let the enemy come to us, I will not risk us fighting in this weather and head on with who knows how many spanish soldiers." The ship rocked again violently and she had to held her footing but with difficulty. There was a boom of thunder and a flash of lightening the light the skies. "Right everyone be careful and we shall get through this! I promise you!" she told them all and headed to the helm where she fastened her life line at the base. Then she turned her head back to the horizon and the approaching ship which was merely minutes from them now...
