Emma felt the tension growing in the air.She heard Arayel unsheath her blade, taunting the enemies, and she drew her blade as well.A slight smirk sperad across her face.Never a boring day in Tortuga, she thought. One hand was still behind her back, clutching her pistol. She began counting the men in her head. They were pretty badly outnumbered...But that had never stopped her before. She stood calmly beside her friends, bristling with anticipation...

*Carrie was sitting in the corner watching Evelyn, Arayel, Amelia, and Emma talking together. She is a bit reluctant to butt in, but she musters up her courage and goes over to them* "Hello all! What we be doin' here ?Are we plannin' an adventure of some sort?"

The man turned his head at Arayel's comment and chuckled, "I mean not to be givin' ye troubles..." he started. Evelyn turns her head to Carrie and lifts her brows and smiles happy to see her there. "An adventure...?" the man sitting with Evelyn said curiously looking at the five friends now. "So ye are going for it then?" he asked. "What if we are? Yer doin' nothin' about it matey." Evelyn said in a proud voice. "Why ye scurvy little bilge rat!" he cried and as he stood Evelyn quickly stood unsheathing her sword and in a swift flick placed it at Mr. Jone's neck and he stopped dead. Just as the other men in the pub stood they stopped noticing their leader Jones, with the tip of a blade at his neck. Evelyn grinned at him. The man chuckled slightly... "I'm sorry there lass...I'm afraid I made a mistake..." he said stuttering. "Sir you made a mistake coming back here believing you would stop me and my crew." she told him smartly lifting a brow and he gulped nervously. Evelyn now had time to dig at her side and took out the pistol she had gotten from traveling with Jack and the rest of her friends and pointed it at him keeping her sword at his neck. "Now, I will let you live because I am that merciful of a person and...I would feel guilty of who it is that needed to scrape your dead carcass from the pub's floor. So you will let me and my crew out safely or I may change my mind." she grinned. He nodded looking around at his men and signaling them to lower their swords.

*Arayel immediately jumped to the defensive when Eve held her sword to the mans throat, but deeming she had the situation well in hand backed off slightly keeping a wary eye on the other men. She didn't relax when they lowered there weapons but said sidelong to Eve and the others.* Perhaps now woul be the proper time to be biddin' a hasty retreat?

A slight curse escaped Emma at Carrie's inopportune timing. She moved her sword to a slightly more defensive position when she heard the tone of the man's voice. She is impressed with the way Evelyn handles the situation, giving them a slight advantage. But she doesn't know how long this advantage will last.Arayel says something, and Emma glances in her direction, keeping an eye on their unexpected adversaries."Aye...I think now'd be an opportune time to get going, seein' as 'ow all of us're here...What say yeh,Evelyn?"

Evelyn turns and grins. "Yes...let's get goin' then." She pulls the hammer of the pistol ready for fire and the man whimpers a bit. She turns her head at them all. "Ye can all go first." she said seeing as it was best letting them go keeping Mr. Jones in place. The looks on all of the other sailor's faces were of anger. They would probably come after them but with the quicker vessel Evelyn believed they would outrun them. They had a Spanish naval ship and they could never afford any better than they had. Of course everything would be fine...she had convinced herself of this and was sure of it now.

Emma grinned and gave Evelyn a slight nod."Right yeh are, then!Let's get goin'!"She tilts her sword to the enemies in a mock-salute and swaggers out of the door, heading for the docks.

Evelyn shot a look at his angry men and smiled. "Ye know boys...I really did have a good time, be sure to threaten me more often it was really quite fun." She says winking at them with her sword and pistol both pointed at Mr. Jones. She backs out of the doorway and blows him a kiss. "Hope to be seein' ye soon Jonesy." He kicked the door hard slamming it closed. Then she sprinted walking the wooden plank onto her ship deck. "Alright everyone! Pull in the anchor! We're headed for gold!" Evelyn exclaimed kicking the plank away from their ship.

"Aye aye!"Emma began heaving on the rope, pulling the anchor up.As she did so,she turned her head to Evelyn."So...that was a pleasant fellow,eh?Old friend? No,don' tell me...ex-cap'n?Ex-boyfriend?"She shook her head, smiling cynically."Yeh know,mate...between us,we know far too many people like that...unsavory sorts, yeh know?"With a final heave, she tied off the anchor's rope. She glanced up to see if there was any work to be done in the sails.

Evelyn chuckled. "No...mate, just someone I remember. He was actually the one who had come in resquesting a map be made for his captain. A bit complicated really. I know mate...too many scurvy rats in my past." Evelyn's eyes notice Emma's staring up at the already set sails. "I think we're off then! Alright everyone hang on because this will be a bit of a rough ride mates! Hope yer up for it!" she called as she manned the helm turning it a bit south heading for their destination.

*Arayel grinned lopsidedly at the men and headed out the door. Eve following close behhind her, once onboard she helped Emma lift anchor then took a look around the ship with a slow whistle* Nice Eve, Spanish naval ship eh? Ye really know 'ow to commandeer yer vessels. *She laughs slightly then listens as Emma and Eve talked. She'd had her share of unsavory characters in the past as well. T'was all a part of being a pirate, she supposed. She leaned slightly against the mast as Eve steered them south.* Rough ride or not mate, as long as the plunder's worth the risk then I'm all for it.

"Aye,you said it,Arayel!"Emma laughed. She loved feeling the wind in her hair, smelling the salty sae air.She leaned back, smiling."It's good teh be sailin' with you all again..."
~Meanwhile~
Rick paced back and forth on the dusty Tortuga road.He wondered vaguele how long Emma was going to be gone...
Well...as long as she was...
A few minutes later,Rick was in the cornwer of a nearby pub.He raised a glass of rum,showing a handful of cards."Sorry mate...looks like I win again.Another round?"

~The sun was beginning to set slowly sinking onto the sparkling sea and Evelyn had been at the helm most of the day but now, she made her way to the bow and leaned against the railings looking out at the glittering of the sea. The reflections bouncing off the waves and the soft swaying of the sea. Evelyn looked out to the distance almost as if looking for the island they were in search for. She sighed but frowned as she looked up into the skies noticing dark clouds slowly rolling in. Hopefully they would blow on through, they didn't need anything slowing them down now.

Emma approached Evelyn."So...'ow long d'yeh think it's gonna take teh reach our destination?"Her eyes sparkled as she looked out across the sea."It's a beautiful day teh be sailin'...but I've got a bad feelin',yeh know?"With a sigh, she leaned against the railing of the ship.It was not the nicest ship she'd ever sailed on,but it was pretty good. There hadn't been that much for her to do yet on this voyage, and nature had designed her in such a way that periods of inactivity bothered her profoundly. She began to pace.
