Hey everyone! The RPG will now begin and here is the backdrop: Evelyn has always had in her possesion a map which is said to hold the location of one of the most famous treasures in all the Caribbean. The map holds the location of the treasure known throughout the seven seas as "La Corona Del Mar" or in English "The Crown of The Sea". Evelyn needing to finally scratch the itch and finally take on a small quest to try and find it, has cleverly "borrowed" a Spanish Naval ship she has named "The Red Feather" in honor of her dear friend. After this stunt she has docked here on Tortuga only awaiting the help of her comrades who have already offered their assistance: Maria, Carrie, Emma, and Arayel. Now with their help Evelyn must find her way to the treasure and back safely before anyone get's way of her plan, or the Spanish Navy catches up with her. (No doubt they'll be missing their ship and wanting it back!) It's a race to a gold which is said to be a treasure of grand proportions, however a treasure this grand could only lead to competition and trouble... Rules: 1. Be respectful! 2. Be sure and read all posts before you post 3. We'll be in for a rough ride and orders will be issued by me, but they'll be very little, I'll just be keeping some kind of sanity on the ship..hehe. 4. Anyone other than the people mentioned who want to join this RPG must post in the RPG Sing-Ups thread stating they want to join in and we'll find a way to get you aboard. 5. Little swearing...but the occasional slip is alright, I know I might... 6. Absolutely NO ONE.... takes my rum unless offered of course! 7. Have fun and be creative please try and add to this game but let loose it's all in good fun! So The RPG Begins.... Evelyn docks the Spanish Naval Ship and heads toward a pub knowing she'll find her group of volunteers there. Sweat is falling from her face and she is a bit nervous. After the borrowing of the ship she had been pursued briefly, but with the unloading of some heavier items she managed to outrun the other Naval ships and has made it here on Tortuga. Evelyn takes looks around and her eyes wander for anyone of her volunteers...she looks behind her outside to the crisp morning, the sun barely breaking the seas surface and she was hoping they were up for sailing this early. Still with a confidence building in her she smiles knowing her friends would help her out. She grows a bit uneasy however as she notices a man peeking out toward the ship and Evelyn closes the door. No one but her and her friends know of her plan and no one else must find out of their scheme to find the long lost treasure. Now to only find her friends.....

*Arayel sat in the cornere of the tavern, waiting for Eve to arrive. She'd told her and the others to meet her here. Well Obviouly from the looks of it she was the first to arrive. She drained the last dregs of rum from the bottom of her tankard, and was contemplating getting anther when she noticed an old man eyeing something out the door with interest. Following his line of sight she notices Eve standing by the door to the tavern looking about, obviously for her friends. Arayel stands and moves silently across the tavern and sdles up silently behind Eve.* 'Ello lass, can a mate be buyin' ye a mug o' rum per'aps?

Emma appears behind Arayel at the mention of rum.She has been wearing a long, dark grey cloak over her usual ensemble, the hood obscuring her hair and face. She casts off the hood, and shakes her head slightly to let her hair fall to its full length."Is everythin' ready?" she asks Evelyn,a slight smirk on her lips. Her voice is hushed, but a spark of mischief dances in her eyes.Surprisingly enough, she is entirely sober at the moment-she had decided that it wouldn't do at all, getting too drunk to recognize her friends and missing all the fun.
Which didn't at all mean that she wouldn't get good and drunk later. She grinned in anticipation, ready to go.

With a jump Evelyn says "Ah Christ Arayel you scared me to the bone, don't go sneakin' up on me like that." She takes a breath and looks at her as she offers the rum. "Ah, not right now, it's time we be loadin' up maties." Emma approaches and she smiles. "Ah Emma, yes everythin' is in place, managed to stop by Port Royal and pick up some supplies with a little hired help, but now it's only you, me, and Arayel, but I need to find Maria and Carrie at the moment. Have you two got a clue where they might be?" she asked lifting a brow and keeping all her senses sharp. She needed to be well aware of everything around her in a situation like this. Evelyn speaks rather low and looks around the pub weary of eavesdropping.

Emma shook her head."Sorry,Evelyn...I 'aven't seen either of 'em.But they've got teh be around 'ere someplace, don' they?"She glanced around, her hand resting on the hilt of her sword.Shee, too, was worried about eavesdroppers.
She supposed it was good that only the five of them were going on this mission.Less chance of someone spilling the information to someone else.Still, she didn't like that she was leaving Rick behind. She wasn't worried that he wouldn't behave himself (To her standards. There was no way in hell that he'd behave according to the rules of polite society,or,heaven forbid, the Navy)But he had accepted her brief explanation that she and some friends were having an all-ladies cruise to relax for a bit unquestioningly,if not cheerfully. She hoped that the mission wouldn't drag out too long. She'd miss him.
But there was no way she was missing out on an opportunity like this. She broke out of her thoughts and sat down at the bar to wait for Carrie and Maria.

(ooc: uh Maria darlin were in a tavern not on the ship at the moment...)
*Arayel shakes her head.* Non Eve ,I 'aven't seen 'ead nor tale of either of them. *she says in a hushed whisper. This furtiveness was catching. She casted a shifty eye about the pub, assuring herself no one was eyeing them to closely. Arayel was rather surprised to see Emma without the ever present Rick. ever since the two had found one another again they had been near inseperable.* So 'oh did you get yer beau to let you be long enough for this little expedition Emma? *She says following suit and sitting at the bar to wait for Maria and Emma, when suddenly a very sodden Maria entered the tavern and sat near them asking how thing progressed* Nothing too important mon amie, We are merely awaiting Carrie to arrive.

Evelyn stares around seeing a curious looking man in the corner. At first she thought nothing of it and when Maria waltzed in wet she smiled seeing that they were all almost there and could take off in a short time. She peers out the window of the pub at her ship still untouched. The stare continued from the man in the corner and it seemed as if he squinted looking at her more curiously. Evelyn hadn't gotten too good a look out of him however and she decided not to. She only sat near a window watching as her crew conversed with eachother. Meanwhile she would keep a watchful eye on that ship.

Emma smiles at Arayel, taking a ship of rum."Aye,Rick won't be comin' with us this time,I'm afraid.I jus' told 'im I was goin' on a trip with a few friends,an' I'd 'ave teh leave 'im behind.I made it out teh be a girls-night-out sorta thing. It upset me a bit,not bein' able teh tell 'im what I'm really sneakin' off for,but on the bright side if anyone starts askin' where I've gon,Rick'll be 'ere teh lie for me.If only because 'e don' know the truth."She shakes her head, looking up just in time to see a thorughly sodden Maria make her way into the tavern. She raises an eyebrow questioningly at her friend as Arayel says that nothing of importance had happened. She leans back in her chair slightly, watching the general activity of the pub.For some reason, one man caught her eye.He seemed to her rather...suspicious.
Though of course,it was hard to find individuals in Tortuga who couldn't be described as such. With a final glare in the man's direction, she turned her attention to the conversation between her friends."So,what kept yeh,Maria?"

*Arayel laughed as Emma explained how she managed to give Rick the slip* Poor lad, *she snickers slightly and giggles some more before wiping at the corner of her eye. She ordered a mug o' rum and tooka swig from it when it arrived noting to others as they eyed a strange man sitting in the cornerthat seemed overly preoccupied with them. She decided to keep a wary eye on him but not to worry the others as of yet, even though they'd already noticed him themselves. She turns a smile to Maria as Emma asked what kept her.* Aye, and 'ave ye seen Carrie anywhere's about mate?

Evelyn stared out. "C'mon Carrie..." Evelyn said in a low voice wishing she would hurry and meet them. Where could the lass be? She wondered when the man in the corner stood and a sort of hush came over the entire pub. He passed a large group of men and with her heart pounding the man came and took a seat at Evelyn's table. She could not see his face as of yet because of the hood over his face. "Excuse me, but are you the one known as Evelyn Pearl?" he asked her. Evelyn eyed him curiously with her hand carefully placed on her hilt. She gripped it tightly. "Who wants te know?" she asked furrowing her brows. "A certain group of men who might have remembered your face but are not quite certain of it." "Well, maybe we could have the same exchange of familiarity if you were to remove your hood sir." she told him as politely as she could although she was feeling a bit uneasy at the moment. He nodded and with a slight smile removed his hood reavealing a face she had remembered all her life. she had known him only to be called "Mr.Jones". A sturdy man around Jack's Sparrow's age she reckoned but he had changed now bearing a scar above his brow. His hair was dark and his smile was malicious and gave ye a chill. "Mr. Jones?" she asked him widening her eyes. She never would have thought she would see HIM of all people again...

*Arayel Eyed the man suspiciously as he came over and sat at there table next to Eve. Her hand sliding to the hilt of her sword, preparing to draw it at a moments notice. She listened to the exchange between them curiously, but didn't relax even when Eve showed signs of recognition.* Eh Evie, you know this blighter 'ere?

Evelyn leans into Arayel a bit. "Unfortunately mate...met him back when I was young keep yerself calm at the moment, but I have a feeling this won't be a friendly exchange." she told her turning back to the man. "What do you want? I have nothing you would desire?" she told him sternly certain to not show to him any vulnerability. He laughed and the men behind him chuckled. "Really? Come along now lass I know you...I've been watching you for some time and from what I know you still have it." "Have what?" she asked him in a low growl. "The map." he told her angrily. " I have no such map sir." she told him. The man looked to the ground trying to calm himself. "I'm willing to make a deal with ye lass, either that or..." "Or what?" "Or I'm afraid we're goin' te have te take it from ye..." he grinned...

Emma, who had been sitting at the bar for most of this exchange, frowns as the man says something which sounds...threatening.She stands silently, going to stand with her friends, behind her back, under the cloak, one of her hands in wrapped around one of her pistols. The other hand was quite visibly resting on her sword. She wondered vaguely how Evelyn knew this Jones fellow, but decided not to ask.All of them, she supposed, knew quite more than their share of unsavory characters from previous cruises and run-ins in Tortuga, and she could ask Evelyn about this later. But if he wanted to hurt her friend,he'd have to deal with her as well. She growled slightly, glaring at the man is if to say as much.

*Arayel narrowed her eyes at the man. If he thought just because he was dealing with a bunch of women he'd have an easy time taking what he wanted he would come to find out he was dead wrong. She drew her rapier from its sheath and held it defensively. Though made no move to attack.... Yet....* If ye be tryin' to take anything from me friend ye'll be having me to deal with ye scurvvy, pox ridden son of a piebald dog. *Arayel growled out menacingly, as her other hand slid to the long foil dagger sheathed at her other hip.*
