Avery sensed Kora's worry and nodded silently agreeing to help her if he could. Hearing Tasha, his eyes hardened. What was her problem? He hadn't done anything and she was suddenly being curt and cold to him. At her comment about Kora he gave her a confused look and annoyed look.
"If ya hadn't noticed, deah, I'm not so suh I can stand on my own. If ya want me away from this girl, then come help me," he responded quickly. He was confused and slightly angry at her for jumping to conclusions. He was desperate to find out what had happened between the two women while he was asleep, but it seemed that would take a while.
Pulling away from Kora he stepped forward a bit and fell, the weakness in his legs taking control. He had been gaining strength, but just standing was doing him no good it had actually drained him. He needed to move, needed to do something, and for now, he needed someone to help.

Rhys laughed at Lily's story. "Fighting over your rum? Always a worthy cause." She moved forward and struck out at Barbossa as Lily stepped back for a moment. The swords clashed and she moved back again letting Lily take the front.
Lily's words made her heart swell. She had a chance to stay, a chance at not being forced back into her former life. A chance at something new and exciting. She glanced over a Jack quickly, and suddenly doubt filled her mind. There was always a chance that he wouldn't want her to stay. She mentally shook her head and pushed the thought away. This would only distract her from the fight.
Trying to focus again, her sword slipped and the block died. Barbossa's sword sliced across her good arm, letting fresh blood flow. She blinked and stepped back inspecting the wound, while Lily took over the fight for a moment. It was shallow, but long. Not bad enough to affect her fighting if she wasn't pushing herself too hard. "Red just seems to be a color that goes well with me. Red blood and red hair. Red eyes and I would look like a demon," she murmured. Then she grinned and looked at Lily a sparkle in her eyes, "If we give Barbossa some red, he'll really look like a demon. Care to try?"

Tasha ignored his words, though they stung. She saw him fall from the corner of her eye and was quickly at his side. Avery...'m sorry...it's just...she... Tasha looked at Kora, but decided not to say anything. ne'ermind. Tasha helped Avery over to where Micheal and Selina were, then sat down next to him. She flashed him a sort of apologetic smile and lightly touched his hand. She hadn't meant to snap at Avery, but she had felt a hatred for since she had first met her and did not want her touching Avery. She glared at Kora, daring her to come any closer.

Her eyes had quickly diverted when Jack and the rest of the crew started to move foreward. She glanced beyond them seeing to what they proceeded for, it wasn't for the gold, but for Evelyn, Barbossa, and Luis... When Jack had unsheathed his sword it was a signal to her and the crew the battle would begin. She wrapped her fingers around the handle of her cutlass, she hesitated for a moment before unshething it completely, the crisp sharp noise it made when unsheathing made her realize that she would fight. Through the massacre she could only make out the feel of her sword block and penetrate. She would be thrown backwards and at sometime she became back to back with Sarah. ' Just like old times huh?' she told her. Maria put on a grim smile and proceeded to block and thrust.

*Eric leapt on Luis, taking him to the ground. In a flash Jack was on the man as well and he gave the man a thankful smile. He didn't know how much longer he could keep up like this. His earlier wounds were throbbing now and the pain of it was starting to slow him down and tire him out. But until Evelyn was taken away safely he wasn't going to stop.
He caught a glance of Roux and Rhys trying to help Evelyn and his heart lifted a bit. All he wanted was for her to be safe and taken care of, no matter what the cost was to him. At this point he would do anything to make sure she was okay. It bothered him greatly he couldn't go to her at the moment and take care of her himself.
He saw her chuckle when he told her to run and just did overhear what she said. He couldn't help but smile himself, the first genuine smile he'd put on since he last saw her and he laughed a little, throwing Luis off him and pinning him to the ground. It had been a stupid thing to say really considering her condition. A firm punch in the shoulder from Luis brought him back to attention and he scowled at the man.* You won't win this Luis, give up or be killed. *He hissed, wanting to kill the man either way. Luis glarred and glanced between him and Jack then spat in both their faces.* I will not give up. But you will both pay for this in due time, so will the wench.[/color] *He stated, his eyes flashing as he glanced at Evelyn for a moment.* Have it your way then you bloody bastard. *Eric grunted, snatching the mans hair and smashing his head back into the golden floor. Luis was stunned for a moment but didn't withdrawl yet.*

*Michael's focus flipped from Selina to the approaching comrades of the crew. He sighed as the moment broke up, wishing he could've heard more about this hidden person Selina had.*
*They'd rested almost the entire night, so their strength had been basically restored, he judged. Standing, but keeping her in his arms by picking her up from her seated position, he smiled down at her and questioned ehr with his eyes if she was ready to go on walking, or if she'd rather he carried her or helped ehr somehow.*
*Drawing his attention back to the other crew mates and feeling the tension going on about Kora, he muttered something and eyed her suspiciously, but kept silent on his assumptions nonetheless.*
"Alrigh', I think we shouldn't be so determined on ripping eachother's heads off rather than the enemy that's pursuing our captain. I don't know who you are, missy..."
*He gestured to Kora.*
"And I can bet you're from Jack's crew, testifying you've switched sides. No matter. I don't give a rat's arse right now. I'll be watching you; one screw up and you're history to me."
*Entirely serious, he eyed her a long while then switched his gaze to Avery, who seemed really weak now.*
"Tasha, perhaps helping the man yourself would be useful. Avery....you're a great ally to stand next to in battle, but I wouldn't want to risk your life if you're too weak. We have to go find Barbossa. Stay ehre and regain strength if you must. If not, we'll be leaving in a second's time."
*Glancing back down at Selina, he let that smile he preserved only for her draw on his face, then whistled high pitched and yet melodious.*
*Immediately Cruentus's call returned it, and the bird circled down to them, flying in one spot for a few seconds, then zooming off into the jungle before them.*
"The way is yonder...let us go now, or forsake our captain."
*And with that, Selina still in his arms until she stated she'd run, he dashed into the madness of the branches, heading straight for the city of gold to find his captain and avenge Selina and his own self.*

Selina looked to Michael and smiled. In the darkness and in Michael's comforting presence, Selina was able to catch a few comfortable winks of sleep before she was roused from her sleep abruptly. Her hearing became quite alert and she stared around the dark jungles. "Michael...someone draws near..." Selina said softly as he green eyes gazed around. Her hands were gently placed upon Michael's chest, she kept close to his side, but knew that should anything come their way she would spring to her feet in no time.
However just as she was about to stand Avery appeared accompanied by Tasha and Kora and she half smirked. "You three? Glad to see you made it out alive." She said with a sly smile and lifting a brow. Selina stood slowly, Michael's arms still around her, and dusting herself off. Selina looked between the two women and lifted a brow, it seemed there was a bit of tension between the three and Selina shrugged, deciding it was best she kept herself out of it.
"Well, now that we're all happily here..." Selina stated with a sigh. "Perhaps going to find that Barbossa of ours would be of some use, wouldn't you say so?" She asked them and then took Michael by the hand and pulled him away. His smile lit up her eyes and she smiled in return. It was an odd intimacy of theirs, for pirates of their reputation were never to be seen so warm to another, but what they felt for eachother outweighed this and in the most discreet way, through a casual smile, they showed their affection. Something so simple meant so much to the other...and Selina was beginning to learn to appreciate his smiles, for they were far and few in between and she knew they were ONLY for her.
With that in mind, Selina turned and headed off into the night with Michael just ahead of her. His flying hawk circled above and she gave an evil smirk at the deadly birds sharp talons.
Selina wasn't about to waste anytime lounging about while Barbossa was out there and possibly making away with gold that was rightfully partly hers.

Mark followed the others into the city. He nodded as Eric corrected him about the enemies whereabouts. He slap himself in the forehead. He should have been able to pick that up...he was a hunter afterall and a very skilled warrior if he did say so himself. He knew he broke his promise to leave once the city was found but he couldn't leave these people alone. He figured he might as well make use of his skills to aide them. They were afterall warming up to him. Suddenly Eric bolted away from the others. He had found Evy and the enemy captain Barbossa. His mood went from weary to furry. He began to draw his sword when he figured it was pointless. He could see Eric and the bastard of a captain fighting. He began to draw one of his pistols. They were out of range, at that range he risked shooting Eric. He clenched his fists in despaire. He could do nothing for the moment. In what seemed like an instant Eric was on Luis like a pirahnna attracted to the blood of a wounded animal. He watched as the two fought. It was like two bears slashing and shoving over a simple fish. Suddenly Mark was given a nod to take up the fight with Luis. Finally he would get to show that man a thing or two. He rushed the man as Eric ran to get Evy.
He leaped and landed on Luis making sure he landed with full force. The two of them rolled across the ground. Mark clasped his hands around the man's neck and began to squeeze. He shook the man as he did so. He hated that man with a passion. He knew the man was trouble when he met him. He thought back to when he had been threatened by him in the kitchen on the Pearl.
"Remeber me you bloody BASTARD!"
Mark said as he let a punch land on the mans face. The rage was building. He felt he would kill this man. He let go of him and stood up. He placed himself in a boxer's stance.
"What are ya gonna do now? Hmmm? Give me ur best shot!"
Mark said. The two stood there for a moment and caught their breath. Time seemed to stop and Mark was unaware of all that was around him. All his focus was on Luis.

*Eric caught sight of Mark coming towards him out of the corner of his eye and he sighed in relief. He needed a break or he'd give out before he wanted to. He motioned for the man to take his place and then rose to his feet, staring down at Luis with harsh, cold eyes.* Don't think I'm finished with you yet. *He stated and gave Mark a thankful slap on the shoulder as he bolted towards Evelyn.
It hadn't even been more then a day really that they had been seperated but that day had felt like an eternity to him and now he could finally go to her. He dropped down beside her and carefully pulled her into him, being careful of her badly wounded ankle. He held her against him, wrapping his arms about her as he kissed the top of her head a few times and just relished in the fact that she was finally back in his arms. Everything seemed right with the world again and a surge of happiness rushed through him. A large smile formed on his face and else about him faded except for Evelyn.
He pulled away a little and just sat there for a moment, his eyes dancing over her face as he reached out and stroked her cheek with his hand. Then he wove his fingers through her hair and kissed her deeper then he had before, feeling his heart speed up as he did so. It felt so perfect being with her again and he knew this was how it should always be. He placed both hands on her cheeks and rested his forehead against hers.* Oh, God, Evelyn. I was so worried about you, I thought I was going to go insane. *He stated and then pulled his head back a little, his eyes staring deeply into hers. He ran his fingers over her lips and then kissed her again.* I love you so much, Evelyn. I'll never leave you again, I promise. I'm staying with you...if I don't I'll die. I need you more then anything. *He whispered, embracing her again and resting her head in the crook of his neck.
He had made up his mind then. Once they got back to Port Royal he would get his things and return to the Pearl with Evelyn. Elinor would be crushed he knew but he also knew she'd get over it. However he also knew if he stayed with her that he'd regret not chasing after Evelyn for the rest of his life. Eric knew his place now, his purpose. It was her, it always had been and it always would be.* I love you. *He repeated again.*

Evelyn looked around as Roux came towards her and she seemed to become a magnet for attention, and although she appreciated it beyond words, what she wanted was to see Eric. "Roux mate...'m bloody fine! Jus' get outta the way an' let me see!" She scowled at him a bit, but smirked at him nonetheless. Her curly hair was in array as she looked past him to Eric. "Not dead yet..." she groaned a bit with a chuckle. Her honeyed eyes passed over everything and she closed them, afraid she might simply watch Eric get killed and she knew she wasn't able to do a thing about it.
However, just as she began to silently pray, warm arms enveloped her and she quickly opened her eyes widely. She grew a bit startled and almost began to fight to pull away but then a smooth, deep, velvety tone reached her ears and Evelyn smiled. "ERIC!" She sighed as she buried her face in the crook of his neck. He pulled away from her and then kissed her deeply and Evelyn replied lovingly. It had been too long and this was too sweet. Her eyes remained closed as they parted and he spoke and she reveled in these few moments.
Her hands rested upon his wrists gently as he spoke to her and Eve didn't dare open her eyes, fearing that this was merely a dream and that it would all fade away. "Eric...I was so bloody worried...I though' I wouldn' see ya again mate..." she said with a heavy sigh. "Barbossa...he tried ta...he, he almost..." Evelyn stuttered a bit and then shook her head. "God 'm SO glad ye came when ye did." She scooted closer, attempting to let herself completely fall into his embrace but her ankle was dragged along a bit, and though it surprisingly didn't hurt as much as before, she still cringed in pain a bit.
As the words rolled off his tongue Evelyn sighed heavily. "I love ye too mate...don' ye ever forget tha'." She smiled. Evelyn couldn't help but linger in his embrace, revel in the warmth he emnated and she wanted to simply sleep there. Eve was quite tired and wearied from this whole ordeal, and what she wanted more than anything was to find a comfortable bed where she could rest along with Eric by her side.
She pulled back, a bit reluctantly, from Eric and her eyes passed over him. She smiled weakly, weariness etched into her face, and she gently brushed a few strands of his hair from his face and softly smoothed her hand over the side of his face. "Ye bloody IDIOT!" She suddenly said, furrowing her brows. "What the 'ELL d'ye think ye were doin' comin' down here ta rescue me all by yer onesies, eh?" Evelyn asked a bit heatedly. "I mean...ye scared me half ta death ye know!" Evelyn told him sternly, but gave a soft smile and then fell back into his embrace again.
"Gah...could we jus' sleep Eric? Could ye jus' make this go away? I need some bloody rest..." She sighed heavily as she rested her head against him chest and curled slightly into him, although her ankle lay quite useless. "God it's good ta see ye..." Evelyn said as she breathed in his scent and closed her eyes.

*Eric glanced down as he felt her hands upon his wrists and his smile grew as his eyes danced with a loving tenderness. He shook his head a little, looking back up at her face.* I was worried Id never see you again either. I don't know what I'd do without you now. *He said, chuckling softly. He held her tighter as she scooted closer, not even caring if his wounds throbbed by doing so.
He lowered his eyes as she spoke and nodded. He always seemed to have horrible timing when it came to her, but this time it looked like it worked in his favor. He kissed her cheek and brushed a few dark curls from her face.* I told you I wouldn't let anything like that happen to you again. I meant it. *He stated in a serious tone. He knew how much her past pained her and he didnt want those things to become her future as well. Then he grinned a little and eyed her mischeviously.* Besides the next time youre in a situation like that it'll be with me, or no one at all. *He winked, though he meant it.
Something stirred in his heart when she told him she loved him as well. It had always meant something when she told him that but now there seemed to be a whole new level to it. He laughed as she pulled back a bit and scolded him and he simply shrugged.* I couldn't stop myself. I honestly couldn't. *He answered, placing one arm about her as she fell back into him. He gently rubbed her head with his free hand and sighed heavily. When she mentioned sleeping he smiled and it hit him they were pretty damned close to a fight going on still.
He pulled away from her and rose to his feet, scooping her up in his arms and glancing briefly at the fight. He needed to get her away from it and put her in a safe place.* I'll do what I can. *He whispered, and carefully hurried out, not wanting to jolt her ankle too much. He glanced around and then crept into another small building. To his dismay the only suitable place to lay down was on a type of chaise lounge. None the less he placed her upon it and sat down beside her. He kissed her again and then glanced around.* We need to get your ankle dressed better before it gets infected. *He said, rising again and snooping about the place.* You should be safe enough in here, so long as no one saw us come in. *He stated, glancing back at her. His gaze lingered on her a moment then he smiled and returned to his search.*

Evelyn smirked as Eric mentioned that the next time she were in a situation like that it would be with him. "I wouldn' have it any other way Eric." She told him with a sly smile as she held onto him tightly. There would be nothing holding her back if they were ever given the chance and the mood. Before, Evelyn had thought about it fleetingly, but her past with the subject had blocked it out of her mind. Now, she was certain about it. If she were ever to experience that with anyone again it would be with him. She was still a bit afraid really, but she knew deep down, that he would be different.
As he parted from her she looked around at the scuffle. She gave an angry glance at her injured ankle and she scowled. "Bloody Barbossa..." she muttered. Her honey eyes looked back to Eric as he stood and then scooped her up. Evelyn hooked her arms about his neck as he took her somewhere out of Barbossa's sight. As she was placed down and Eric commented on her ankle Evelyn looked to it and cringed. "Infected? Gah...I think we're too late ta try an' prevent that Eric..." Evelyn said as she eyed it a bit and then cringed in pain again.
"That bastard Barbossa's insane Eric...an'...ta tell ye the truth, I don' think he's gonna stop comin' after me..." Evelyn said as she pondered this matter over a bit. Her hands went to the edges of where she sat and she furrowed her brows. "He seems ta have a strange...I dunno...somethin' fer me Eric..." Evelyn said in a soft tone, wondering if it was cause for as much concern as she thought it might be. "He jus' stares at me, ye know? An' then...I dunno...he defends me when others try an' hurt me, ye know? But...at the same time..." she lifted a brow then and shook her head.
"Ye know what? Forget it mate...i's probably nothin'..." Evelyn said with a firm nod. "I mean...when tha' bastard went fer my damned shirt...I, I bloody lost it..." Evelyn was almost mumbling to herself at this point. Eve bit her lip and then looked to Eric as he seemed in search for something and she called him to her. "Eric mate, leave it be. I'll be fine...jus' come back, will ye?" Evelyn asked, her voice was almost pleading him to return to her side. There still was a thick ominous feeling in the air, and Eve was afraid the danger hadn't completely left her yet.

*Eric looked at her, slightly surprised when she said she wouldn't have it any other way. For some reason he had expected a smack or possibly a boot flying at his heat at moch speeds. He had always wondered if the moment came how he would go about it, considering her past. He had wondered if she'd ever have him in that way, worrying that the previous men had scarred her for life. But her words made him smile and he nodded at her. When the time came he would make it meaningful for her, something she wouldn't regret. He knew that he wouldn't.
When she commented about her ankle he came back over to her and looked it over, frowning as he did so. It seemed it was too late for that. It was going to take some serious mending to fix that. Suddenly his brow furrowed and he looked at her curiously.* What do you mean? Do you still have something he wants, I mean he found the city. *He stated and his eyes went wide with surprise when she said Barbossa seemed to have a strange fasination for her.* Well he better keep his damn obsession to himself unless he wants to deal with me. *He said heatedly. He shook his head, unable to believe the man. He was a dispicable human being.
He got back up and started looking for things to mend her ankle again, trying to take his mind off the man for a moment before he blew up again. He turned and looked at her as she asked him to come back and he obeyed. He smiled and laid down behind her on the chaise lounge, pulling her into him as he wrapped his arms about her. He took a deep breath and grinned.* You know, I could get use to this. *He whispered, brushing his lips against her neck. He had a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach that told him he was about to loose her again but he ignored it, just wanting to live in the moment he had with her now.*

Evelyn chuckled lightly at Eric's words about Barbossa keeping his obsession to himself. She shook her head and then lay down gently as he pulled her into him. His lips tingled the hairs on the back of her neck and she smiled softly. "Really now?" she asked lifting a brow. "Well I've got no bloody objections..." she stated as she placed her hands upon his, her thumbs running over his fingers gently. She was bothered at the same moment, knowing the crew were in need of help, but she couldn't help at all in her state, and quite frankly, she wasn't ABOUT to let Eric out her grasp again for a while.
"When we get back on tha' ship Eric...we'll finally be able ta sleep..." she told him softly, reassuring herself while repeating this aloud. She took one of his hands that held onto her waist and kissed it gently. "An' I won' have ta think 'bout this day....or what happened...jus'...us and the crew...and the Pearl." Evelyn smiled at the thought. To her, it was heaven. She only hoped Eric could see it as that and wouldn't regret staying...that is, assuming he would.
She closed her eyes then and pictured it, them up on deck, with the crew, and the gold...nothin' better in the world really. Turning onto her side, she faced Eric and placed a hand upon his cheek. "Stay with me Eric...when we go back ta Port Royale...stay." She stated. She didn't care about anything now, this time she would make the effort to force him to be with her. Her hand caressed his cheek. "No one will ever love ye like I can Eric...tha' I can promise." Evelyn stated with a solemn nod. "An'...an' I'll do what ye wan'...at least...some o' the time." She smiled gently, as she kissed his lips and nuzzled his cheek with hers gently.
If he left it was over...there would be nothing left, and she was determined he'd stay...and she would show him just how badly she wanted him here.

*Eric laughed softly as she said she had no objections to that.* Glad to hear that. *He grunted and yawned as she mentioned sleep. He could deffinantly use it, he felt as if he'd have to force himself up out of this chaise as it was. He frowned inwardly though at the fact he had left the crew to the fighting, but he needed this right now if he was to be of any use later. He figured it was best if Evelyn stayed somewhere quiet right now and he wasn't about to leave her side, not with Barbossas crew still so near.
He smiled as she kissed his hand and his eyes locked on hers as she rolled over to face him. He placed his hand upon hers and for a moment said nothing. He could only smile. His eyes sparkled and he kissed her forehead tenderly.* I'll stay, Evelyn. I know my place now and its right here with you, no where else. *He stated in a sincere tone. This was a promise to her that he would die before breaking. As she brushed her cheek against his, his skin tingled and he took a deep breath.* I'll never love anyone like I love you, Evelyn. I promise I'll spend my entire life trying to show you the love that you deserve. *He stated and laughed a laughed a little.* Well that sounds good to me. And I suppose I can listen to you sometimes, too. *He grinned.
He tipped her head so that it rested beneath his chin and his eyes cautiously locked on the doorway to the small temple they were in. The feeling in the pit of his stomach was growing stronger with every passing moment and now it was too strong to ignore. He held her tighter and frowned slightly. Something wasnt right.*
