Evelyn looked him over as he said it was too soon and she laughed. "Damn...ye think?" She said with a smirk. As he smacked her hand away she stared at him and furrowed her brows and scolded him playfully. "Do ye want this bloody wound infected?" Evelyn asked lifting a brow as she returned to cleaning the wound Much of the dirt and grime was gone now.
When he told her to warn him before she plucked stones from it she grinned at him. "I'll make sure ta send ye a notice before I do again then..." She told him with a small nod. When he spoke of Luis giving up a palace for a shack and laughed she chuckled a bit as well. "Sounded better in yer head did it?" Evelyn asked lifting a brow. Her head was still pounding, but she had more important matters. Eric was banged up from protecting her honor, she appreciated it more than he knew.
When he told her he'd be there and placed his fingers on her lips she closed her eyes. "Thank you." She told him with a small smile. Her honey eyes looked up at him with nothing but affection. "No one's ever stood up fer me like that." Evelyn told him placing the rag in the wash basin, then returning to sit on the floor in front of him. Then she took her sash about her waist, ripped the black cloth and wrapped it around his waist to cover the wound. "There ye go." She told him with a grin.
She sighed. "So much for being unviolent." Evelyn said as she tossed him his shirt. She looked at his jaw as it seemed a bit bruised and caressed it softly. "Ye big softie, didn' know ye had it in ye." She told him.

*Eric simply nodded and smiled as she thanked him again and he looked at her with surprise when she said no one had ever stood up for her like that before. Apparently Luis wasn't as much of a man as his punches had led Eric to believe.* Well I'd do it again in a heart beat. *He said and he smiled as he watched her place the rag in the wash basin. For whatever reason he was feeling as if it was his job to protect her now and keep her say. He would do anything to make sure that happened. As she wrapped the sash about him he looked down and gave a nod.* Thanks Evelyn. *He said, and caught the shirt as she tossed it at him.* I know you'd prefer it if I kept this off but Im afraid I'll have to put it back on. *He teased, slipping it back on and buttoning it up quickly. He ran his fingers through his hair for a moment then laughed at her last comment. He grabbed the cloth from the basin and ran it over her lip for a moment, then over the rest of her face to wipe off the dirt. He tossed it back into the basin then he threw his arm gently around her shoulders and he winked at her.* Well for being such a rough lass I didn't know you had it in you to be so gentle. *He grinned and then suddenly remembered the item in his pocket. He pulled it out quickly, wrapping his fist about it so that she couldn't see it yet and he smiled at her.* I got you a little something from that shop. It's nothing much but...well...here. *He said and opened his palm, extending it out to her. There sat a thin, silver chain necklace with a pendant at the end in the shape of a ship and in the center of its small hull there sat a small ruby, cut in the shape of a heart.* Its corny I know. *He said with a soft chuckle.*[/color]

Evelyn smiled as he said he'd do it again in a heartbeat. When he began to place his shirt back on she laughed lightly. "Keep it off? Don' worry mate, I think I'm really alright with ye puttin' it back on. Unless ye wanna be walkin' aroun' outside half naked." Evelyn told him. When he placed the rag upon her lip and over her face she sighed resting her hands on her hips and grumbling a bit. "I can' believe tha' bastard hit me." Evelyn said as she pulled the leather off of her hair so that it fell over her shoulders. Her long curls falling in spirals around her.
When he told her she had been gentle she blushed a bit. "Well ye better have appreciated that one, mate. I don' do tha' often, not at all often." She told him with a smirk. "Besides seein' a man hurt like this," Evelyn scanned her eyes over him. " Scares me." She told him plainly. It did. Ever since her father died she had always needed a certain safety in her life and in all the men she found it in, which had only been very few up to this point, it had been taken away through violence.
When Eric gave her his gift she smiled looking at it. "Aw, mate, ye didn' have to, really." She told him as he extended his hand out to her. Evelyn took it from his warm palm and ran a finger over the tiny ship and small ruby. "A heart? Careful, Eric, people might start ta think ye like me." she teased as she let him place it around her neck. It really went nice with her, she thought. She turned and sighed. "Thank ye, Eric. Really. For...everythin'. For someone like me i's hard ta find this kind o' feelin'." She told him and placed a hand gently on his cheek and kissed his cheek gently. At the moment her lips were still aching too much to kiss his lips.
She stared around and the call came again. "Ye know? I don' know about ye, but..." Evelyn rubbed her still pounding head and cringed a bit. "Bu', I think we're supposed to be goin' somewhere...some inn. Dunno, jus' have a feelin'." She told him staring out the window for a moment.

(OOC- OK mates. for right now, let's regain control and make the posts shorter and simpler. Savvy? Everyone who's coming get to the Siren's Inn. And let's try to stay together on this, savvy? Come on now ladies, gentlemen and pirates. We've done a hell of a lot of things together, surely a rpg involving a bit of immortality and comandeering can't get us all that confused now can it?. Everyone to teh Siren's Inn...we'll fix this plot from there)
:Jack paced the room, and came back as Tobbs called for him. Funny really. She didn't seem like she needed anyone. He frowned and sat on the bed next to her, waiting.........:
:Where was everyone? it had to be well into the eleventh hour of the night.....most men were drunk by now. They had to get a ship...and quickly. If nobody showed up soon, Jack would take matters into his own hands. But he prefered to have at least one other person with him.....Will maybe. Or Evelyn and Emma, and Rick. Someone:
:He stood up slowly and paced. His ship.....was out there with Barbossa....the bloody undead coward.........:

Roux paused a moment and looked at Linea, then back towards the docks. "I could go back for your cousin if you want me to. but first I'm getting you to the Inn."
He turned down a few streets then came towards the Siren's Inn. He opened the door and nodded to the person who was stationed at the door. "we're lookin for a man who came here. A bit shorter then I am, dark hair, look of a pirate about him." Roux paused realizing who stupid that sounded in a island full of pirates. The man at the door gave him a strange look. Roux sputtered and continued.
"a few gold teeth, walks with a sort of limp? kohl around the eyes. has a issuse with getting into your personal space?"
The man nodded and pointed up the stairs. "Ye mean Jack sparrow? He came in nought but a quarter a hour ago. Go up."
Roux nodded his thanks and ushered Linea up the stairs. He could always follow the ship from the sky in the morning. he listened and then went into the second room to the left. "Jack?"
He opened the door to find the captain withe Tobbs, who was by all accounts, asleep. "My cousin told me something has happened. The Pearl is gone. I have Linea with me, and I'm sure the others are coming. Have you got a plan?"
:He closed the door, as Linea came inside, and he closed it behind him, and turned to the captain. you had to respect the man. He had a sound mind when the occasion called for it. Jack looked like he already had a idea. Roux smiled at him. "I really shouldn't ask. I would have guessed you had a idea by now."

:Jack looked up at Roux and Linea. a determined look on his face:
"aye. I've a idea. But I need a few more people here." He stood up and looked at Roux: "I'm not sure who's been left on board. And while I'm sure if they could take care of themselves, they were caught off guard."
:He stopped there, without saying it, he doubted if any of them were alive. He looked at Roux and linea: "Were any of the others coming behind you? You're the first two i've seen since I checked in on all of you at the tavern."

Roux shook his head. "It's just been Linea and myself. but I'm sure more ar coming this way. Orestes is out getting them."
He turnd his attention to Tobbs, a neutral expression on his face. "Is she well?" He took a few steps over to her and looked at her thoughtfully. "She's bleeding. Do you want me to go get some bandages. if we are to pull off one of YOUR ideas, I think it'd be best were were all patched up and hopefully most of us are sober."
He smiled a little bit and waited, trying to be helpful.

Orestes figured it was pointless...staying in the alley...it didn't matter where he was, as long as he kept part of his mind on the call. Plus, hauling Rose all over Tortuga probably wasn't the wisest thing to do...getting her to her father, however, would be wise.
Orestes's eyes suddenly went wide. Hawk! He'd forgotten all about the other Sparrow...instantly he reached out to the mortal with his magic, trying to find where he was. Aboard the ship...Orestes cursed himself for not trying to save the Pearl. Shaking his head, he let go of his grip on the boy...then suddenly realized something.
Slowly, Hermes sent a spark toward the unconscious Hawk, on board the Pearl. His magic touched the boy...then met with another spark of magic, joining together. The magic was familiar...exceedingly familiar...in fact, it was Hermes's own.
As Orestes, the god frowned, again letting go and putting his concentration into the calling. What was magic of his own doing on Hawk? And more importantly at the moment, was it on Rose, too? If so, it would explain quite a lot...
Shifting his hold on the sleeping girl, Hermes scanned her body magically...he located his own magic around her throat. Gently, he reached around her neck to find a thin gold chain; upon the end of it was a gold medallion with the engraving of an eye and the letter S on either side.
Orestes gasped. Of course...he recognized this medallion. He'd spelled it himself, eighteen years ago...his eyes misted over as he recalled the circumstances. Quickly, he shook them out of his head...no use dwelling on the past...and replaced the medallion around Rose's neck. He'd have to talk to his brother about this...he'd berate him about checking for magics before bespelling someone...but then again, who'd think of checking for a god's magic on a mortal girl?
Orestes certainly hadn't, he thought with a wry grin. But now he should be getting back to the others...he transported himself and Rose right outside the door of the room of the Siren's Inn where the others were. He walked in, carrying Rose, and leaned against the wall, watching everyone else.

Roux looked up as Orestes entered with Rose. he was glad to see more of the crew unharmed and he gave Orestes a nod.
"Put her down, Orestes" Roux said, gesturing to the space still left on the large bed. "Come with me. Maybe you and I can find mor of our crew together." In truth he just wanted to talk with Hermes and see if all was well. what his brother knew.
He turned to Jack. "we could go in search of the crew." He said helpfully. In his mind he reached out for Hermes, his eyes flashing gold for a moment.
"Are you well? What of the crew? The Pearl? Who was left aboard?" He asked at once to Hermes. "Why is Rose still sleeping?"
Outwardly he was looking at Jack, waiting for a answer. inwardly he was planning a race into the sky to find the ship, Callisto and keep a eye on Barbossa. #nosmileys

:He looked up when Orestes and Rose came in. He looked at Rose then back to Orestes, a bit confused why Rose was still asleep. When Roux sugested they go and look for the crew Jack nodded:
"Aye. go an' see who you can find." He said and helped Orestes settle Rose onto the bed. "I need a few of the crew who's still sober to help me comandeer a ship. but I need the others ready to go once I've gotten one.......savvy?"
:Jack saw Roux's eyes turn gold for a moment and blinked. Maybe it was a trick of candle light. He'd have to watch Roux and his cousin much more closely from now on......:
"I'll wait here. If nobody comes within a hour, I'll go get the ship myself."

Orestes grimaced at the barrage of thoughts invading his head from his brother. "I'll tell you once we get out," he thought back, then glanced at the girl in his arms. Obviously reluctant to let her out of his sight, he put Rose down next to Tobbs on the bed, then glanced at Jack. Nodding respectfully at the man, he quickly sent a wave of peace and ease towards him; it was obvious he'd be needing it.
He then walked to the door and held it open for Roux, grinning at his brother mischievously.

Roux sighed and looked at his younger brother, firmly convinced he'd be teased now. After all, Hermes had been holding back for a whole night. He must be bursting to torment him.
as they left the room, Roux shut the door behind them and lead the way down the stairs. "I know you're dying a mortal death to berate me, little brother. Get it out now if you must."
He turned gold eyes on his smiling brother and waited for the axe to fall.

The grin, however, was gone from Orestes's face. Instead, he looked thoughtful...perhaps even grim. It was one of the most serious expressions to ever have crossed the young god's face.
"I'm a fool," was the first thing he said, through clenched teeth. "How could I have been so stupid? I was aboard the Pearl, when she was taken. I could have saved her. But all I thought about was my own safety...and Rose's...I made sure we were safe, and I wasn't quick enough to save the Pearl too."
His voice was full of bitter fury at himself. It was most unlike Hermes, but there it was. "I'm letting my patron family down. I was supposed to look out for the Sparrows...but I lost that which Jack loved most, and I let Hawk get taken...and I neglected to tell you the most important thing about the twins." He looked up at his brother, eyes gleaming gold. "It's why Rose is out...has been asleep so long..."

:As Linea entered the room, she just looked at Jack. She was confused, and had no idea what was going on. She was still worried about her cousin and wanted to go back to the ship to get her. Kora had saved her more than anyone she'd known, it was only right to repay the favour. Steeling herself, she abided by Roux's words and would stay here, in safety. She sighed at the thought, but thought better than to say any words. Looking over at Tobbs she was a little concerned. Walking over to her, she sat next to her, seeing if she could help a little, but there was not much she could do without supplies. When the door opened and Rose was brought in, she was again more worried for her cousin. Then, something inside her made her tremble. Something told her not everything was alright with her cousin. Linea got up from Tobbs's side and started for the door.:
I've got to go get her. I can't leave her there...
:She reached for the door and was on her way out of the room to go and get her cousin.:

Roux stared at his young brother, worriedly. Hermes was never serious. Or biter. It was un natural. If Hermes had been mortal Apollo would have checked for a fever and asked if he felt sick.
But he thought over what was said. "you have never let anyone down, brother. Mortal or immortal. If you think you have, it can be mended."
"After all....we are gods." He said with a small smile, and patted his brother's shoulder. "Tell me what is wrong and I will help you." He said calmly, wondering what Hermes had been up to of late.
