Evelyn sighed deeply and heard a deep, smooth voice. Her honey colored eyes shifted and she saw Eric had awakened. Eve shook her head. "Bloody bilge rat, 's tha' all ye came up here for? Ta start trouble?" She asked him without taking a glance at him. Her voice was sassy, nothing like her usual, thoughtful tone.
Her eyes turned back to him and she caught him with his eyes still fixed on her and she eyed him curiously. "Where were ye anyway? Still cryin'?" she asked him with an evil smirk. Why was he looking at her like that for? She shook her head. She really didn't mean to push the subject like that...but, he'd started the trouble.

Fishy saw her go under and nearly paniced himself. There was no way in heaven, earth, or any ocean he was gona let Diana die, not now nor ever, and he was below the surface in an instant, searching for her. He opened his eyes under the water, and the salt stung into them, but he found her, struggling to get above the waves. He looped an arm under hers, and kicked as hard as he could upwards, his pants weighing him down by catching the water. At last, he broke the surface, gasping for air.
He swam as hard as he could to shore, letting the waves wash them up on the beach, him exhausted. He lay Diana down beside him, looking at her so deeply concerned he was nearly shaking. "Diana...are y' alright? can y' 'ear me? Diana?"

<Diana felt her head break the surface of the water. Felt someone holding her, guessed who it was,the only person who could have seen her go in, Fishy. >
<She held on just until she felt dry land. or land at any rate and almost at once, blacked out. She shouldn't have jumped in. Was the last thought she had before she let the memories of the water take over. >
<Diana had been about five or six when she saw her cousin, a naval officer, drown. She saw his face. Before it went under. And she had been fearful of the water ever sense. Fearful to get in>#nosmileys

Fishy was panicing now. He wasn't gona let her drown like this. "come on Diana...wake up..." he said softly, his eyes wide, his hands trying to do anything they could, finally settling to squeeze hers. Then he remembered something his sister had taught him long long ago, how to rescue someone if you saw them go under those dark rolling waves.
It might've been years and years before its official time, but it was the closest thing Fishy could do to "mouth to mouth". he put his lips on hers, and tried to send air into her water logged lungs, hoping beyond all hope she would get up. Between tries he gasped for anyone to hear. "come one Diana...please....wake up"

*Eric suddenly realized he was still staring at her when she spoke again. He quickly looked away and cleared his throat, blushing slightly. Then as she smarted off about him crying he shot her a glare.* I wasn't crying alright. You just caught me off guard is all...I had water in my eyes. *He stated and cringed slightly at his words. Even he thought they were stupid, he could only imagine what Evelyn would do with them!*

<Diana inhaled once, then coughed, turned onto her side and coughed up some water. Not exactly dignifed but at the moment it didn't matter. She blinked and stared at Fishy's face a second before she burst into a soft sob>
"Thank you!" <Then she began crying and tried to stop, couldn't, then looked embarassed because she was supposed to be a pirate and deal with this alright, and couldn't.>
<finally she dried her eyes a bit then looked at Fishy, between sobs and looked a bit confused> "How'd you do that? I couldn't breath."

Evelyn turned her honeyed eyes to him and smirked. "Water in yer eyes?" She laughed looking away. "Those were tears, I've seen enough ta tell." She told him flatly. She didn't want to go ahead and keep going after the man. Evelyn wasn't in the mood to argue too much at the moment....but then again Eve was never one to resist some mischief. "But then again...the only tears I've seen have come from women...." She told him smartly, lifting a brow. "Show's 'ow much of a man ye are." She chuckled turning and leaning one arm upon the gunwalls.
She lifted a brow and pulled back a few curls. Her eyes fixed upon him, waiting for his retort.

When Diana took that first breath, Fishy had nearly fallen backwards. He was panting now, his heart racing. He had been worried he'd never hear her voice again. But now she was alright, and it took a moment for him to calm himself. "I..um...i guess i had to breath for you...maybe it was just magic.." he said rather softly. He stood up, brushed the sand from himself, now soggy again, and offered her a hand to help her. "hey, you still look a little pale....come one, we should get you inside right away, get you a nice blanket 'n' somethin' t' eat. Y' alright Diana?"

<Diana stood with his help and thought over his answer. She smiled>
"Well then you're my angel." <at his suggestion she nodded, and took a few steps. Her legs felt wobbly, but she could walk>
"Thank you. Really. You saved my life."
<With a smile she leaned over and gave Fishy a gentle kiss on his lips back. it was a bit shaky of a kiss, but it was heartfelt and she smiled> "I won't ever forget it."

Fishy was red once more, and had a feeling 'ed be that way frequently from now on. "Well then," he said, finally recovering as they neared the Pearl again. "its certainly not right for such a fair maiden as thee to ware those feet of yours out, especialy when you are so tired already!" and with that he hoisted her up in his arms, and carried her the rest of the way to the ship, holding her with one arm under her knees, one under her back and holding her infront of him, playfully.

*He rolled his eyes as she said she had seen enough tears to tell that he hadn't just gotten water in his eyes. And then he wondered what she meant by that comment. Apparently she had just as many ghosts as he did, obviously she had to. No one was this rude by accident. Even Eric hadn't always been this sharp tongued. He opened his mouth to say something when suddenly she tested his manhood. He paused for a long moment, saying nothing. His eyes were distant and his heart couldnt help but agree with her. After what he had let happen to his fiance...he didn't think of himself as a man. He only saw himself now as a coward.* You can't argue with the truth. *He said but then he leaned on the railing beside her and glanced out to sea. Even if he did agree with her words he still wasn't going to let her get away with saying them.* You know Ive got to admit mate, you might sound like a woman but you deffinantly dont look like one. Or act like one for that matter. *He said though in reality he did find her attractive, whether he denyed it or not.*

<Diana laughed and put her arms around Fishy's neck, in a classical "rescued damsel " pose >
"My hero." <She whispered and was only half playing. She really wasn't exactlly feeling good. It had been, was, scary for her. She didn't want to drown. Nobody wanted to die like that. Diana was no exception>
<She had the oddest feeling the crew would think they were totally nuts. She didn't care. She was nuts. About Fishy. In itself that was strange. She'd run away from home because of it. She looked at fishy a while then smiled>
<Well. Rules could be bent and broken. That's what they were there for after all>

Evelyn stared at him as he seemingly, accepted this comment. What was he on about? She shrugged, he must have had a really dark secret to him. No man ever cried like that, unless it was over a woman....Besides seeing a man cry frightened her, it shook her deeply, but she shrugged it off.
As he came to stand beside her, her jaw dropped at his comments, but she couln't help but smile. She shook her head lightly and chuckled. "Yer a rude one aren' ye?" She asked him lifting a curved brow. Her eyes went over his face carefully before leaning on the railing and looking out to sea. "Well I'm sorry if I'm not yer idea of a woman...ye probably go for the dainty, an' utterly helpless anyway....but if that makes ye feel like a man..." she told him smartly with a laugh. "Besides...ye need ta be this way. I had no choice." She told him with a bit of sadness but kept smiling.
Her eyes turned to him. He was indeed handsome, his cropped hair swaying in the wind. His deep eyes glancing out thoughtfully to the sea. When he wasn't so angry, he did look quite handsome.

Fishy carried Diana the rest of the way back onto the ship, smiling at her the whole time. "My maiden fair." he whispered back, as he set her down on her feet again. He called out to the crew, or anyone who would hear him.
"hey! anyone, can someone help? She's just gone o'er board!! someone get up 'ere with a blanket for 'er, will ya?!"

He was watching the crew carefully. Tension. A lot of it. He frowned. Well. It wasn't as if he could be having a real effect. His pressence was never enough to stir up so much trouble. Probably Hermes.
The wild young god had a habit of stirring up a bit of madness wherever he landed. even if it was'nt on purpose. When Fishy called, he came over, blanket in hand. He looked at Diana.
"Are you alright lass?" He glanced her over a bit. She looked alright. Shaken but alright. He looked at Fishy and smiled. Guessing, from teh simple glow the two had what had happened.
"you saved her?" He asked. "good lad. Well done." He draped the blanket over Diana's shoulders. "Get some rest. Get dried off. We leave soon."
With that Roux bowed slighty and went below to put away his drawings and coal
