~Just A Few Thoughts~

Hello all welcome to my crazy mind!!!!!!! Here is the small place where you can see a bit of my highs and lows in real life, some will be really personal, some will be happy, and others...well those that make no sense at all blame the rum ! I'll start off by postin' some poems I've written on another site as of yet, nothing has stirred anything new to think of so I hope you enjoy these!! Feedback greatly appreciated! So step in, have a look around.

"Alone On The Sea"

~Beneath the moon and the stars, they shall guide me to your heart.
Sailing on the high seas, can be a lonely journey for me. If I simply remember you, I will not cry all I will do,
Is let them guide me safely home. Where you and I will be alone.~

"How I'm Supposed To Be"

~When, What, Why, Where, am I supposed to be
Like I'm a model of clay
Someone's shaping me

This, That, There, Then, am I supposed to be
Like a piece of marble
And there's a sculptor chipping away at me

Dictatorship that's what I live in
That's how life is
And how it's supposed to be

But what if I break out of it
And think instead
Just for me?~

And Another but this is a Haiku:

"Loneliness"

~A rock sits alone
A Seal basking on the rock
Loneliness is Gone~

This one is by far the longest one I have:

"Revenge"

~Outside I smile
But inside I cry
I keep repeating the pain will die
And all the anger will subside

But no instead it begins to grow
And someday I will stand and show
How strong I really and truly can be
How far my courage can dribe me

One day I'll stand against the tide
And reveal the strength that grew inside
The strength that bloomed and grew in anger
Which for you has become a danger

The tears I've cried have disappeared
And your time of destruction is very near
My blood is pounding
And the strength is growing

I find and face the center of my rage
I'm ready now to turn the page
To the chapter of his demise
I stare now deep in evil's eyes

As I beat him heavily he's almost dead
But then, a thought inside my head
If I kill him then I will fill
The position of the monster I wish to kill

I stop instead I'm merciful
The beating's enough for this poor soul
Instead he'll live and rot away
Having to live with all the shame~

So those are just a few, hope you enjoyed taking a peek in my creativity! Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

~A fallen Angel, she was called
A girl beyond repair
"How could she have gone so wrong,
Someone so beautiuful, so fair?"

"Pure madness, insanity, that's what it is
That's what drove her there."
They whispered, as she sang along
Although she could feel them all stare

Her riches, became rags,
She had let go of everything
Her future, parents, everyone
For one sweet beautiful thing

It didn't matter, they didn't know
They haven't felt it and didn't know what it does
Even without her money, her fine clothing and family
She had found something pure, a true and simple love.

And another:
~Her world was just a dream away,
Somewhere where she could play,
Where all things were possible,
Each dream beautiful, each one cleansed her soul,

But when she woke, her world was gone,
and only the screaming of the alarm clock is on,
"Another day," the girl would groan,
"another day of mindless drone."

But as she came home again,
she would finish the days work and count to ten,
then she would remember and sigh,
With another day comes another beautiful night!~

*Modifies poost as it is no where near as late now as it was when she first looked n here and notice Jack posted before her then pokes him for posting something so easily overlooked when she was tired and thusly making her mistaken in saying she was first to post* You're writing is always, and always has been so very hearfelt. Insiteful, and above all else honest. It has always been my oppinion that ones best writings happen when they write for sheer unbridled emotion. And this is something I've seen you do time and time again my dear. and to tap into ones emotions so completely is a rare and marvelous gift. Forgive me I suppose I'm feling a bit poetic myself today...

*This is a Shakesperean Sonnet I wrote*

~Beauty can live in many different things,
From a baby's smile or a new rose,
In a waterfall or a bird that sings,
From a little girls eyes to her small toes

Beauty is found in lovers' sweet kisses,
The eagerness of a beautiful mind,
A starry night where people make wishes,
A small band of gold which two lives can bind

The smell of fresh air and of ancient books,
whose pages took writing for oh so long,
The sparkle of a fisherman's small hook,
The writing of a simple happy song

Beauty lies everywhere open your eyes
If not you'll miss it passing you all by

~Away today, that's where I'll stay,
Away today, where I can pray
For brighter and for better days

Away today, instead I'll fly
Away today, perhaps I'll die
And see how high my soul could climb

Away today, I'll be a cat
Away today, and fly like a bat
To see which road I'll end up at

Away today, perhaps the stars
Away today, I'll see the moons of Mars
And ask from it's surface why we are

I went to go away and be free
Just like the calming summer breeze
To wander off and to see
All the beauty in the world that might escape me~

NO probs about the comments hun you have some very good and powerful stuff in your first post, it caught me at a moment I was in a very contemplative mood and I get long and drawn out on my comments at such times. *smiles* and I like what you've recently posted as well. Here's a little song I wrote...very spur of the moment:
A rose bloomed from the grave I saw today,
A rose bloomed from the grave I saw,
It seemed to reach for the sky today,
It seemed to reach for the sun,
It seemed to cry for light

That rose froze from the shading of the grave,
It froze and it could not be saved
It only wanted to reach for the sky
It only wanted to reach for the sun
It only wanted light

Here's another little poem:

Why...must people be so angry,
Why...must they be so sad,
Why...must everything go wrongly,
Why...is this all I'm supposed to have

A mind this free is trapped even in this tiny world
Where everything is squared and boxed,
what can't it all be curved?

Why can't we love eachother,
and not see eachother's race
Why is it so hard for some of us,
To hold eachother in an embrace

The world is so much better,
when there is no bad intentions
But that can't happen it never will
The world always finds excuses

I know I've been neglecting my poetry lately but here's a fresh one!

Solace
I believed I still had my pride
but it was beaten from me
I believed I still had my hope
but I linger here still, the years I count now twenty
I believed I still had knowledge
I still do but what's the use?
I have nothing left
There is no more truth

The injustice had beaten everything from me
That a man may once have had
These bars that keep me prisoner
have me at their every command
But through whipsers I learn of you
and I am not so sad
I smile every time I hear your name
and I always have
To know that you are happy
And have found peace when I brought you none
is a joy deep in the darkness
I now know I'll always be in love
For through all these cold years I've been through
I've no such thing as solace
The only solace I can fathom,
I still find in you

Beyond

A clear, transperant blue
And bright, tranquil colors surround me
I hold my breath as I stare around
and stared in awe at all the beauty

I swim towards the coral
the rocky and multicolored cove
then towards the red, pink, green fish
I realize there is so much I will never know

Then before me passes a large shadow
something disturbs the green blue sea
it passes down away from me
and I follow, swimming quickly

The sun shines in breaking it up
And I see a bit of flesh
What is this I've stumbled upon?
I look closer and hold my breath

I spot a fin, a scale, a hand
The most curious oddity
The creature stops and stares
Bewildered, perhaps, looking blankly straight at me

But then I begin to flail and toss among the water
I swim up quick but my foot snares
Entangled in seaweeds and deep sea plants
I wrestle and toss desperately, wanting, needing air

I let go of life and cold floods me
My hair surrounding me as I begin to float
but no, I look up and I see the bright sky
All the death I believe was mine, is now replaced with hope

I take a breath and look around
He has saved me from my fate
Instead I look upon him
And a smile crosses his face

He holds me up so I can breathe
He knows not why I was beneath the land
Why I would want to venture there
Why I would ever leave the warm sand

I tell him I just wished to see
To touch, to look, to find
A world that seems so beyond me
One that would be his and never mine

He smirks and says he knows it too
He wishes to touch, to look, to find
A world that seems beyond him
One he could not have and would always be mine

Untitled

Instead of falling down,
I seem to only fall up
All the world is shrinking
I cannot even stand up

What has happened to me?
Where am I to go?
And why are all my loved ones
Crying down below?

What is this feeling I have
Why do I begin to soar
And do not feel the pain
or anguish anymore

I hold my breath and count to ten
Now I realize
that what has happened, what I fear
Has suddenly come alive

Or rather it has turned rotten
As fears always seemed to be
a fungus growing and eating away
at a decaying tree

But why now? I cannot go,
I had so much to do
Or perhaps I didn't perhaps all I needed
was to just find you...

Either way our meeting was cut short
And now I am up here
Among the clouds, and stars alike
I feel the end is near

But I look around,
You were there too
But I cannot see, instead I look down
And crying next to my body is you...

Cold

I've left my heart behind, now all I am is ice
so go ahead and dare to touch me, take a bet, throw your dice
I am washed clean of the emotions I once felt
And all I have is stone, wire, metal, and a jagged edge

The steel is strong in my hands and I no longer feel weak
I come to take you down hard and fast so that you cannot speak
You will not tell me your lies, your hurtful words, or express your pain
I do not wish to know it, hear it, or learn of it again

I am cold and the rain freezes me
Tears are no longer on my face blatanly
Instead they remain locked up and always will
The world, for once, is so quite now so still

And I will not die, no, I will carry on with my blade in my hand
Any harm from anyone ever, I will not stand
For I have risen from the ashes of what was once my old self
I do this for no one, nothing, for no one cared, but I know now can save myself

Mirage

The sand bites and stings my eyes
My skin, chapped, cracked and dry
I've wandered so long I can't find my way
But I still hope to find you, some how, some day,

I fall to my knees as a mighty wind blows
and off in the distance an image grows
I spy you there smiling down at me
offering a hand, you're here to save me

with a quavering hand I attempt to touch
the kisses, the person I've missed so much
And just like an ghost you're suddenly gone
and here I am again, all alone

A mirage you were but not inside,
I stand against the weariness and begin to stride
toward somewhere where you will be
A simple mirage was all I did need

To keep me going, to renew my soul
You see I am not here either, I am not whole
I am only a wandering ghost like you
Find you I must, that's all I will do

One Day

One not so extra special day,
I lay in the grass with a green leaf,
That had gone astray

It fluttered and flew
from the tree that held it
From which of the trees it came no one knew

I then let it go, tossed it to the wind
Letting it go to dance to and fro
Letting it venture off as it wheeled around the air making it spin

And then I seemd to drift away
To a far off and distant land
One where it seemed home, where I wished to stay

A mad hatter greeted me
gave me a tea-cup or two
Saying "Is this not where you have longed to be?"

I clapped watching an elephant fly
and was entranced by a dancing Sugarpum fairy
while watching three mice eat cheese, all three blind

The small Tweedy bird tried to make me a deal
to protect him from a notorious cat
who, it seemed was always hungry, and looking for a certain meal

The billy goats ate green grass they fought hard to win
while the witches and wizards did chat
and the octopus argued with a little mermaid who possesed a beautiful fin

The day had gone well I must say
And the Scarecrow behind me spoke,
"Now isn't this where you wish, you could truly and always remain?"

I turned to him and in a polite tone
I spoke my feelings true
"This place is wonderful really, truly, but 'There's no place like home'."

With that the flowers began to cry
the rain began to fall
I wake up and look around I am still in the grass
And gave a relieving sigh...

Free From You?

I am leaving now and to return I do not intend
To start over is what I wish
No messages can you send

I am taking with me all that is mine,
the earth, the sea, the sky
I'm leaving you with nothing, you had nothing before you and I

I am leaving all the sorrow
The hurt, deceit and pain
I shed from me the shackles you on me had firmly placed

I am free now to leave this cage
To fly and touch the sun
I will only look down from there at you
To see what you have become

A twisted lost soul
curled up and without hope
And even though I smile, I've reached the sun
I frown and cry, for you were my only love...

Here's a new one...

Broken

A broken woman I saw today,
crippled, raw, and red
She had been fighting with a man outside
Of a sleazy bar, she was spitting her words
Not caring who saw her, as she let the entire world know her problems

This precious woman could have at one time been soft
Her skin as soft as honey
Her eyes once warm, now cold and sunken
Like that of a skeleton, deep, dark, and hidden

Bruises were visible upon her, scratches the world has left,
Marks of her hard, brittle road up to where she stood
She was without dignity, reverted to an animal
Who would lash out at anything, a rabid beast

And I pitied her as I passed by, wondering how she got this way,
The cheap perfume, the sickly skin, the clothes hanging from her bones,
Most passed her and stared, watching as if it were an accident waiting to happen

Then she lashed out with her claw, and scratched the man,
And he beat her down leaving her in her despair,
He spit upon her, a beaten foe and all one could do was stare,
How I wish I could have told her she deserved much more,
The entire world was not this way, that she could stand and change herself for the better,
But all I could do was stare...

Hey, Savvy good to hear you like them, oh and a Haiku is a Japanese poem usually in a 5-7-5 syllable sequence meaning if you count the syllables in the first line there are 5. In the second line 7 and the third 5.
