(I think we all worry about Saber's mental stability...I mean,seriously.Bossa.Just ewww...)
Emma grabbed the captive Spaniard by the elbow, dragging him away from the railing."C'mon, you old cur,"she spat, giving the man a little push towards the door.Normally, she'd have kept her hold on him,but it didn't seem necessary with allies all around her and his hands tied.So she stretched languidly,a few paces behind Rick on their way down to the brig.
It was only a moment, though, until she got distracted.Crystalline bluegreen eyes flashed in anticipation at the mention of the words 'drinking match',and she gave Evelyn a brilliant smile."A drinkin' match?Aye,I should think I'd be honored t' oversee yer little...competition...what're the stakes, ladies? And when'll we be gettin' started?"She would have asked Evy why she hadn't been asked to join, but felt that teasing her fellow pirates while already injured would have ranked fairly high on her extensive list of Bad Ideas.
Rick listened to the women talk for a moment, then shook his head and continued down towards the brig with Seurill. He had put his gun back into his belt, drawing his saber instead and keeping it at the ready should the enemy captain try anything. When they got down below,he shoved Seurill into the cell, locking the door securely.
"There we are,"he said, sounding satisfied."Do let us know if ya find anythin'...lackin'...in yer accomodations..."With a mocking bow,he turned and left.

Kat glared at Eric and Evelyn "No, I'm not afraid to keep the stakes high. So be it then." She said with a decided nod. Kat smiled as Evelyn picked out Emma to be the judge of the little "contest". Kat had personaly never had a drinking match with Emma. Both of them knew it would probably ruin their freindship. Putting her arm around Evelyn's shoulders, Kat began to explain the stakes. "After I beat little miss show off here, dont think i didnt see you playing with that knife, She is gonna have to wear a dress that I pick out." Kat droped her hand from Evelyn's shoulder and headed to the galley. "And were startin'... now!" Kat jumped dwon the stairs and entered the galley. Finding Eric already there she winked at him as she sat down. "Looking forward to seein' yore girl lose, eh mate?"
Saber watched as Kat and the other made their way to the galley. This was one game Saber could afford not to see. Still... they would need alot of rum... Saber picked up one of the few remaning crates still on deck, and lugged it down to the galley. She did this till the rest of the rum was all sitting down on the table. "There ye are mates... least I could do to help you all get bloody stoned." Shaking her head Saber made her way back up on deck.

Evelyn smiled at Emma as she accepted the invite. "Haha little competition...oh it'll be a drink to the death, 'm sure of it." She laughed, turning her eyes to the quickly darkening skies. "The stakes are pretty high, loser wears a dress the winner picks out...for an entire day...and at the nearest next port stop." She beamed, whilst flicking her blade's steel once or twice before placing it back into her boot.
As Kat came up to her and placed her arm around her shoulders she curiosly looked the woman over. "Erm...did you...." she chuckled and shook her head. "You didn' just say you'll beat me right?" The woman was serious and Evelyn was broken up that she'd have to beat the woman. She determinedly headed down apparently towards the galley and she blinked. "Whoa...well I suppose she means right now then..." she commented at the others, following her slowly, taking a deep breath of the cool evening air. "This'll be a good night..." she said into the winds, making her way down the steps.
The oil lamps flickered in the hall, illuminating the wooden hallways with an eerie, golden, glow. Her ears pricked however, as she made her way slowly to the galley.
Waltzing in, she appeared confident, smiling at Kat, her brows suddenly furrowed at her comment. She wondered if Eric would reply at all at this point and so said something for him quickly, afraid he wouldn't say a thing at all in her defense at this point. "You're still rather overconfident mate...you forget who yer goin' up against. I'm Evelyn Pearl mate...and I don' go down so easily. I even gave Emma there a run for her money. Besides, if I were you, I'd hold my tongue an' try and be a bit nicer, eh? I mean, I WILL be the one pickin' out your future gown soon."
She smiled triumphantly already, waiting for Emma to join and officiate the match. The door opened once more though as Saber dropped off a rum crate into the galley. "Thanks Saber!" she called as the woman exited, and pulled up a stool, ready for it all to begin.

Emma strode into the galley after her friends, all confidence, her injury seemingly forgotten. She gave Saber a nod of appreciation as she dropped off the crate of rum, forcing the crate open and withdrawing two bottles of rum.A pair of mugs was quickly produced, and when she had topped them each off,she shepherded Kat into the chair opposite Evelyn and slung an arm around each of their shoulders.
"All righ',"she declared jovially, her lips set in their customary smirk."This'll be a straight drink-off...ye start at th' same time,an' I'll be refillin' yer mugs an' keepin' track.Speed doesn' matter, jus' who can 'old out for the most mugs of rum.Whoever stops after th' least amount, whether voluntarily or b'cause y'can' lift th' mug anymore,is th' loser, and 'as t'follow whatever th' Hell crazy agreement ye came up with earlier...Are we agreed?"
Her pause left barely any time for argument. Then, standing up straight again, she folded her arms in front of her chest, watching the competitors eagerly."Ready, then?Begin!"

*Erics dark eyes followed Kat as she found her way into the galley with Saber and Evelyn and he smirked at what she had to say. Throwing his feet up on the table and resting his arms behind his head he gave her a devious grin.* Since when were you my girl Kat? *He snorted, referring to her refrence about "his girl" loosing the drinking match. It was hardly a secret that he was on Evelyns side in each and every one of these, it would always be that way.
His gaze shifted over to Evelyn that moment and he quickly winked at her. This was going to be an intense drinking match for certain and even though he felt that Evelyn would win he still wasn't looking forward to her drunken state later in the night. With a heavy sigh, though, he figured that was the least he could do was take care of her afterwards. And besides if she won, she'd probably be in a really good mood which would hopefully push their earlier argument from her mind.
When Emma came in she set down two mugs and began to announce the rules of the match. Eric sat up in his chair, putting his feet back on the floor and leaned forward in anticipation, his elbows resting on his knees. A large, amused grin spread across his lips and his brown eyes wandered between the two women.* Time to prove just how much you hate dresses Evelyn *He laughed as the match began.*

Kat sneered at Eric's comment. "Yore really full of yourself arent you?" She asked, ignoring the fact that she was the one who kept boasting about beating Evelyn. She rolled her eyes as Evelyn commented on her being not being nice. "You forget mate... I'm not a pirate... I'm a mercenary... we don't even know how to act nice."
Kat smiled with a glint in her eye as Emma put down the mugs and explained the rules. Winking at Evelyn she took off her hat, and laid it on the table. Drastic contests took drastic measures and Kat knew the hat would just cause her to overheat. She was ready when Emma said begin and picking up the mug she slowly downed it. Setting the mug on the table she grinned. "Fill er up mate." She said as Emma poured her some more rum. Speed, as Emma had said, was not an issue, so Kat again slowly drank it down.
Saber stood by the rail, far away from the revelry of the drinking match. The sun was setting and dark clouds were rolling in. Her days work was done, and there was no labor to fill her hands. She gripped the rail tightly as a cry seemed to call to her from the past. Shutting her eyes against it, her dream flew through her mind once more. The sights, sounds, and even the sensation of touch covered every inch of her, and she was lost to her former life. The crying of an infant and the feel of it in her arms filled her mind. Then night seemed to fall, and warm arms surrounded her. They took the child and laid it down, then were once again hers. The sound of soft words, meant only for her, filled her ears. The touch of lips and hands were again present in her mind. White hair mixed with dark on a pillow. Blue eyes locked with hers. Then it was gone… faded into black.
Saber jerked her eyes open… she did not want to see what happened next. Standing there, gazing out over the water, she let the salt of tears mix with the salt of the sea. Her hair blew in the breeze past her face and covered her emotions. She shook her head and realized that she was trembling all over. She hadn’t thought of what was behind her in years. Could it be possible her sad life would be revealed? No… only two men knew of her past, and each only knew half. It would be almost impossible for it to be discovered. She wrapped her arms around herself to keep out the chill that invaded her heart. A song floated on the wind towards her. Almost involuntarily she began to sing along. The voice on the breeze changed and a harmony was born. “When you wake …you shall have… all the pretty little…” Saber’s voice broke into sobs. “Shut up damnit!” She screamed to the voice on the wind. And sinking to her knees on the deck she gripped the rail and wept bitterly.

Evelyn smiled at Eric slightly as he winked at her. His defensive remarks lifted her feelings a bit, but deep down, it didn't change a thing. Forgetting it all for now, she decided concentration was key. Emma was soon down into the galley and her eyes glinted with anticipation. She looked at Kat and said nothing, deciding instead that now getting down to business was all she needed and was going to do.
Emma's voice echoed through her mind like an old tune. She knew the words like the back of her hand, she'd heard it millions of times before, or at least some sort of variation of it. The mugs were served, her mouth watered at the cold mug. Then with a nod and a few last words from Emma, Evelyn took up her mug.
She began downing it like a banshee, and finished it the same way. This was preliminary stuff really and she had been dying for a rum for so long it was like being in heaven. The world died away as she took the cool mug to her lips, went bottoms up, and with several long, hard, chugs, was down and done with it, grinning triumphantly as she noted Kat taking her precious time. Evelyn's eyes drifted towards Eric momentarily, then fell back to Kat. "C'mon mate...I don' want this to drag on all bloody night..." she said lazily, drumming her fingers on the counter of the table.
Glancing at her nails, she turned to Eric, and said, "I hope your enjoying the show..." she muttered, apparently simply talking to pass the time. She wasn't exactly trying to be nice to the man who had abandoned her earlier, but she needed some sort of entertainment for the time being.

*Eric glanced lazily over at Kat and the corner of his mouth rose in a grin as he gave her a shrug. He watched the two women and their very different drinking styles. Kats was slow while Evelyns was just the opposite. He supposed time would only tell which style was the best. His brows raised in surprise at just how quickly Evelyn downed her first mug of rum. He didn't know how she did it seeing as to how he could barely stand just a shot of it.* Damn Evelyn! *He laughed, moving his elbows from his knees to the table as Emma refilled her mug.
When Evelyn spoke to him he laughed, giving a shrug with his shoulders.* Its more entertaining then anything else going on around here. *He snorted, resting his chin upon his fists as he watched her, wondering how many she would get down. Perhaps someday he'd challenge Rick or even Ian to a drinking contest, seeing as to how he'd only ever done one and it was years ago when he was only 14! He had won that one.*

(meep untill someone notices Saber its gonna be all Kat posts... odd)
Kat put her tankered down and snorted. "You dont want this to last all night? 'ell I do." She waited as Emma re filled her mug and then with a delvilish smile picked it up. "But just to prove I'm no pansey..." Kat tilted her head back and downed the rum in three gulps. Slaming the mug back on the table she shook her head savoring the flovor. "Personaly you can't really taste it that way, But to each her own." She said raising the mug back to her lips.
Suddenly Kat's sharp ears thought she picked up an odd noise comming from the top deck. It sounded like a scream, but she couldn't be sure. It was probably just the wind, or the sound of the Pearl's creaking timbers. But just to make sure she asked anyway. "Did anyone just hear something?" She glanced around the room at the shaking heads. 'god I hope the rum isnt already affecting me!' she thought as she took another gulp.

(Woot, i'm gonna break up good honest fun with a longo Aaron post! But pay attention and read the whole thing... very revealing this is...)
Aaron laughed "Aye, I guess you could say I'm a better lover then a pirate." He smiled at the young girl who sat across from him at the table in the Silver Falcon. "By the way, I need to ask ya a little something. 'ave you ever heard of a man by the name of Seurill?" The girl shook her head and smiled. Suddenly her look turned to surprise and maybe even fear. Aaron looked at her confused and then suddenly sensed that someone was standing behind him. A cutlass cut down and stuck into the table right next his arm. Aaron glanced at it and sighed. "Bloody 'ell Javert! Why do you always have to show up at the wrong moment?"
The frenchman laughed and jerked his sword out of the table. Sheathing it he walked around to the chair that the girl sat in. Looking down at her, he sneered and indicated with a flick of his head that she should leave. The girl stood up and as she passed by Javert he made a pass at her. She hurried away and He sat down laughing. "Well Monsieur Fletcher, I see you are still up to your old tricks." Javert's speech was heavily laden with a French accent.
"Aye, and I see that you are no better. What do you want?" Aaron asked exasperated.
Javert smiled and reaching over took Aaron's rum. "Nothing my friend, just a chat and a drink." He took a good gulp of the rum and then returned it to its place. "After all, I haven't see you in... what 5 years?"
"6 actually." He said glancing at his rum in disgust.
"Ah yes... I remember now... that was when you were fooling around with that little girl... what was her name again? Blade? Something like that."
Aaron's whole body stiffened. "Saber... her name was Saber" he wispered almost to himself.
"Ah yes thats it... Saber... what ever happend to her anyway?"
Aaron jumped to his feet, his eyes burned with hate. His chair fell to the floor with a bang. In a rage he flipped the table over and reaching over grabbed Javert by the coller. Gripping him tight he barked in his face. "You know exactly what happened you lying bastard! You were the one who arranged it all."
Javert simply laughed. "My my... a bit testy arent we." Gripping Aarons hands he freed himself and pushed him away. Aaron stumbled backwards over his chair and fell over. Javert drew his sword and put it under his chin. "I told ya I would get even with ya Aaron... and I always keep my word."
"But so do I." Aaron said through clenched teeth. Knocking the sword away with his arm he jumped to his feet and drew his cutlass and long hunting knife. The weapons clashed together. The fight was furious, but fast. It ended with Javert lying on his back, his sword arm pinned to the ground with Aarons sword and a hunting knife at his throat.
"Please...please don't kill me Aaron. We used to be mates remember?" Javert gasped. "Come on mate... I'll do anything anything you want!"
"Yore 6 years too late Javert." And with that he slit the man's throat. Calmly he cleaned his weapons on the man's jacket and then standing up sheathed them. He looked over at the bartender. "Sorry about the mess. Here's for the trouble." And walking over he dropped a few coins on the bar. Walking toward the door he stopped to talk to Christina. "I'm goin' back to Bossa mate... see ya later." With that he walked out into the streets of Tortuga.

Evelyn smiled, but only slightly, at Eric. "Right..." she said slowly, as if trying to really decipher why it was he was sticking around. Though, she had a slight feeling that in the morning, she'd somehow see his face first. Rolling her eyes she huffed at him and said, "You know...I hope yer not...erm...gettin' any ideas....I'm still goin' back to my OWN bloody cabin tonight, well...actually, OUR old cabin, the one I'm in. But well, its mine now..." she rambled a bit, trying to logically figure her way around it all.
She looked to Kat as she answered her and she sighed heavily, pulling up her stool. "Well I don'...I'd rather get this thing over with so I have more time to ponder what sort o' dress I want to put you into...I'm thinking...a nice crimson..." she explained, looking up into empty space, as if able to see it all before her now.
The woman took down her next mug quickly and she smirked. "Right...bottoms' ups best I always say." And with not a moment's hesitation more, she took the mug in her hand and chugged it down easily. Her eyes rolled upwards then though as a scream was heard. "Erm...was that your sister mate...?" she asked, glancing at Eric. "Maybe we're both just hearing things...but this early?" With a shrug of her shoulders though, she supposed that was all there was to it. If not, someone would deal with it...right?
And so the night pressed on, as the seas beat upon the ship, the winds picked up, and the Pearl sliced through the choppy waves, their match continued. With each new mug set forth, Evelyn forced it down. By the fifth mug, she was starting to feel it, down in her bones. She blinked several times as if trying to keep her vision straight. She knew there weren't two of Kat, and she was making damned certain her eyes understood that. "Bloody 'ell..." she muttered.
The fifth followed, and the sixth, by now her world was getting hazy, and the dumbing down had begun...

*Erics eyes fell curiously upon Evelyn as she rolled her own and huffed, saying that she was going to have their cabin all to herself tonight. Rubbing his hands over his face in exhasperation at the fact that she still wasn't over their argument he shook his head and sat back in his seat, tipping back slightly.* If that's what you want Evelyn. *He sighed. He of course was still going to stay in there as well but hell she'd be drunk and what could she really do about it then? He wasn't about to leave a plastered woman alone in a cabin, especially with that Seurill guy around.
He grinned when he noticed that the rum was slowly taking hold of her, his eyes dancing with pure amusement. When Kat and Evelyn asked suddenly about the faint scream that had drifted into the cabin Eric sat straight up in his seat and cast his eyes suspiciously upon the doorway.* No, I heard it, too. I'll be right back. *He said concerned, giving Evelyn a light pat on the shoulder before rushing down the hallway and bounding up the steps.
Glancing about he caught the dark form of Saber crouched by the railing of the ship, seemingly crying. His brow furrowed deeply and he trotted over to her, kneeling down before her.* Saber, are you alright? What happened? *He asked, glancing about them before turning his dark gaze upon her once more. It wasn't normal for her to break down like this knowing that the crew was around, so whatever it was that was upsetting her must have been something serious, though somehow he doubted he would learn what it was.*

Kat nodded at Eric as he sped up the stairs. "Hes ... a bad sort... is he now?" As Kat thought about what she had just said she thought 'that didnt sound quite right' She had a feeling she had left out a few words. But eh what did it matter? Kat shook her head and realized she was feeling dizzy. And no wonder. She had just downed her 6th mug. Sputtering a bit she drank the 7th, and coughed when she was done. Great... now the double vision was really setting it. She thought to herself that from now on she had better not let go of her mug, as she might never be able to find out which one was the right one. With great effort she picked up the eighth mug full and brought it to her lips. There was no way she was going to lose this...
Saber kneeled there crying, tottaly forgeting that some of the crew was still on the deck. She turned her face in surprise as Eric knelt down and asked if she was alright. She stood up and brushed away the tears. Attempting to control her voice she responded quietly. "No... I'm fine... really I am.. But... Eric..." Saber sighed. She wanted to tell someone...Anyone! But she couldn't... and not Eric... truely there was no one on the Pearl that she felt would understand. "Nothing happend... I just need some time alone." Then with a glance around at the crew still on deck, she jumped on the rail and then up into the rigging. Settling herself on a spar, with one hand holding a rope, the other to her heart, her head bowed. No more tears flowed... only memories. Dark and forboading as it was Saber knew that she might as well think about it, or it would come back to haunt her at a later time.

Evelyn peered over at Kat. The eight was so far hitting her like a ton of bricks. Her vision now was clearly double, though her grip on her mug handle seemingly became more resolute than ever. "Go down..." she almost barked at Kat, hoping she did not need to get completely out of it and on the floor once the whole thing was said and done. Win, she would, but at this point it seems like the price was going to be a hefty one to pay.
Her head pounded as the ninth was slapped down, she downed this one with a few more gulps than she thought she would need. Some of the rum now filled her mouth and she let it linger there before forcing it down with a strong gulp. She swayed slightly upon the stool, but kicked it out angrily from underneath her. "GAH! NO! GO!" she demanded slapping her hand down upon the table. The mugs were filled again, 10. She was beginning to admit, even she was amazing herself at this point.
Evelyn looked out at Kat and her legs buckled. The tenth went down, she forced herself to stand. The 11th was filled, her hand became shaky. There was nothing holding her up now, except for sheer will. The 12th was touching her lips, and the only thing registering now was the cool sensation of the initial wave of rum sweeping into her mouth, but then the bitterness overcame it and all was lost in black for a moment, as she downed it, slapped it violently onto the table, and swayed again.
She had to hold on. "No pink dresseseses....." she mumbled, " for Evy....*hiccup*"
