::Jack realized once he'd sent Jason and Kalin into the jungle by themselves he'd made a mistake. Two of them alone separated from either group was a bad idea::
"I'm going to go with them." Jack told the others who'd gone looking for Fishy. "Stay where you are unless...unless you hear something. I'll be back soon."
::saying this he walked back through the jungle searching for the twins, sword drawn and ready::

Avery watched with interest as a new man joined the picture. He was a dark and what could be classified as mysterious looking man. Spanish to the bone, and well that just meant Avery wasn't going to be very fond of him. Normally, Ry was a calm man who did not let anything effect him, but he had a hatred for the Spanish. Michael quickly took control started questioning the new arrival.
The Spaniard said his name was Luis and that the woman Ry held knew how to find El Dorado. This made him tighten the hold he had on her. If the man spoke the truth, he would not want to let this one go. He personally did not care for gold, but he knew that he would be murdered by the crew if she got away while in his care.
It was then that Michael spoke up askinghim to escort the other two back to the Captain. He nodded and turned the two, keeping his grip on the woman steady. "Luis, my lady, It's time we get movin'. But befohe we do, if you would please hand over yah weapons." With that he moved one hand, keeping the knife against her throat with slightly more pressure than before. His free hand quickly removed her sword and pistol.
He gave the woman a long hard look before turning to Luis, "Could you please check hew boots for any weapons?" The man nodded curtly and knelt down at her feet. Checking her boots he quickly found two knives and handed them over. Avery had known from too many years as a thief that she was that kind of person. She would not go without a few hidden weapons.
"Now yah sawd, please." Reluctantly Luis handed over his sword. "Now mawch," Avery ordered. The three moved off; away from Michael and his captive.
A few minutes later, they found themselves standing infront of the Captain. "Captain Bawbossa," Avery started, "we found these two in the woods. This one," he nodded at Luis, "says that he can help you find Jack and his crew. He also says that this one," he motioned to the woman he was holding by the blade, "knows where El Dohado is. There was a thihd, but Michael is dealing with him at the moment." He paused a moment then asked, "What would you like us to do with them?"

*Eric groaned and looked at her firmly.* I didn't doubt my love for you, Evelyn. I do love you, more than anything. The only thing I was saying is if you don't share your life with me, how could I keep loving you. *He stated defensivly. But now she had shared her life, at least some of it, and he felt just that much closer to her.
He needed to know she could confide in him, tell him anything. And now he knew that she would do these things, it brought a simple smile to his face, despite the fact they were still angry with one another. As she began going on and on about how confused he was he folded his arms, raised a brow, and listened. He was confused, but he figured he always would be.* I can't help it that I'm a little confused. I've got a tough decision ahead of me you know. *He stated, wondering if when the time came if it really would be THAT difficult.
He eyed her as she slowly came towards him, but he himself didn't move. He placed his hand upon hers for a moment as her hand found its way to his cheek, and he nodded, then she pulled away. He frowned at her next comment and lowered his eyes.* I don't mean to. I just... *He began but his voice trailed off and no words would come.
He couldn't help but laugh a little as she called him a bastard and he shrugged.* I know. *He grinned, quickly straightening out his lips as she was glarring. He reached out to grab her as she turned to leave when suddenly there was a sword to her throat and then one to his own. His eyes went wide and he shook his head as much as he could when she said to run.* Are you bloody insane? I'm not leaving without you. *He stated, glancing down at the blade at his throat.
He watched as she mouthed the words to get the crew but he didn't budge. He would die before he left her with these men.* Just tell them, Evelyn. Its not worth loosing you over a city. *He said, wincing a little as the blade pressed harder into his throat. In an instant his eyes darted over to Luis and rage overwhelmed him. So the man was still alive then. His head jerked to the side as Luis spat in his face and he quickly spat back.
Suddenly the man punched him in the stomach and Eric bent over, gasping for air as he clutched his stomach. Luis punched him in the back and he sprawled onto the ground, still trying to catch his breath as the man kicked him hard in the side. He squeezed his eyes shut and for a moment couldn't move. He groaned as he laid there, struggling to take in gulps of air through the throbbing pain in his side. As Luis smacked Evelyn, Erics eyes narrowed and he wanted desperatly to get up and attack him, but he couldn't.
He watched Michael, Luis, and the others with nervous, hateful eyes. The fire in his eyes only grew as Barbossa came and he somehow managed to get himself on his knees and hands.* Hurt her and I'll kill you all. *He said in as loud a voice as he could muster up. He got himself back to his feet and stood there, a bit wobbly, but watched them all.*

Evelyn looked to Eric as he said he wouldn't leave and she snorted. "Bloody idiot..." she called at him angrily. As Luis passed her by Evelyn's eyes narrowed. "YOU!?" she asked, furrowing her brows. "Luis...I though'...." but as he made his way towards Eric and spat on his face Evelyn's rage boiled over. "Ye bloody sea snake!" Evelyn growled and made to move towards him, but Avery's grip tightened and she was pulled back violently.
Her heart went out to him as he was beaten down and she called out to Luis. "Don' ye bloody TOUCH HIM LUIS! D'ye hear me!?" she yelled at him but the blade kept her quiet. Her honeyed eyes were soft when they landed upon him and she couldn't help but feel this was all HER fault. A bird stirred in the canopy's above her and a few monkey shrieks echoed. She shook her head slightly and her pulse quickened immensely. Watching Eric getting beaten cut her deeper than anything she had ever known and her face grew warm.
She was unbearably heated and she growled from deep within. As Luis made his way towards her Evelyn narrowed her eyes at him, spat, and then was struck across the face. Her face fell sideways and she sniffled a bit. The hand had grazed her nose violently and a trickel of blood could be felt in her right nostril. She shook her head and looked up at him enraged. "Ye bloody coward! HOW can ye bloody LIVE with yerself!" Evelyn shouted. Her voice reverberating throughout the jungle and she screamed, trying to wrestle her way out of Avery's grasp, but it was all in vain.
She was soon stripped of her weapons and then before she knew it was being dragged away. She turned and caught a glimpse of Eric attempting to stand and her eyes were sad. It was as if she were attempting to capture seeing him. It might be the last time she would ever see him again and her heart sank. True, she was still rather angry at him, but she loved him...and that was that.
Evelyn was quite sure about many things in her life, she was quite knowledgable and prided herself in knowing how the world worked, with all its quirks, but Eric had been a bit of a puzzle to her and it was frustrating. But she had never known to care for someone this much. All her thoughts rested on his well being, and she mumbled a silent prayer, hoping that he would remain in God's good graces, and hoping she could pass hers...if any existed that is, onto him. Evelyn didn't know what she would do if she learned he had come to harm, although she sensed the empty feeling already beginning to settle.
As Avery brought her towards someone however, Evelyn lifted her eyes and looked up at the Captain Barbossa. She narrowed her eyes at him. She spat at his feet and raged against Avery's grip upon her. "Ye bloody BASTARD! I SWEAR if ye hurt ANY of the crew I'll tear yer bloody head off myself!" She growled angrily. Her curls were in array and she looked absolutely mad. Her eyes were full of fire, her lip was slightly curled and she snorted angrily.
"Do yer worst...but don' ye DARE touch the crew or so help me GOD!" she shot a warning glance at Barbossa. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her crew...and she would sacrifice it ALL for Eric...if she learned of any of their harm then there would be HELL to pay...

*Erics attention went from the others to Evelyn, even though he knew that if he looked away from those around him that there'd be hell to pay later. Right now that didn't matter to him. All that mattered now was Evelyn, seeing her as if this were the last time. Now he allowed a single tear to fall down his cheek, though he brushed it away weakly. He wobbled a little, leaning against a tree for support.
He knew if he was attacked again that he wouldn't be able to fight back, but he wasn't ready to admit defeat just yet by falling to the ground. As Evelyn dissapeared in the thick of the jungle he swallowed hard and felt so many things at once he thought he would burst. Sadness, anger, heartbreak, guilt, but mostly emptiness. He felt helpless now, and foolish that he couldn't protect her.
He lowered his head and as he did so a sharp pain shot through his back where Luis had punched him. Wearily he lifted it and his eyes locked on Michael. The man had a vicious look in his eyes, though at the moment Eric doubted his looked much different. He had to get back to the crew somehow, warn them of Barbossa and inform them about the kidnapping of Evelyn before they hurt her...or worse. But first he wanted to see that this man before him was dead. He was weak yes, but he'd still try.* It's just me and you now. *He growled.*

::Barbossa looked around as cheers went up from his crew. It seems he had been able to pacify them for a while longer, at least. He hoped he would be just as lucky next time...::
::Turning to Selina, he noticed she was gazing distantly off into the forest. He followed the direction of her stare and saw Michael and Avery disappear into the shadows of the trees:: "Wha' the...?" ::he thought, raising an eyebrow::
::Shrugging it off, he turned back to the crew and tossed the gold piece into the crowd. Several nearby pirate dived after it, punching and kicking each other to get to the small treasure. Barbossa grinned. At least they could be entertaining....::
::Suddenly he looked back toward the forest as Avery came back out, with two others in his company. The man he had never seen before, but the woman....why did she look so familiar?::
::The woman was brought to his feet, and Barbossa looked up at Avery for an explaination:: "She was in the forest? Sparrow's crew?! Ye don' say....." ::He grinned evilly down at her:: "Small world, neh? Then I suppose yer also 'ere fer the treasure o' El Dorado? I suppose that also means you know how to get there...."
::He knelt down in front of the woman and tilted up her chin. Honey eyes stared back at him defiantly, and he felt his stomach knot:: "...E-evelyn Pearl....! Fancy runnin' inta ye again.... 'ow long 'as it been since we last met, m'dear?" ::She spit at his feet, demanding he not touch her crew or he would pay. He smiled sadistically::
"M'dear lass, yer not exactly in any position ta threaten me... Avery! Get some rope and bind her. I'll 'ave a talk with Miss Pearl when she's feelin' more cooperative.' ::He patted her on the cheek and stood up, looking at the lanky, greasy-haired man standing nearby::
"And just who are ye?"

*Michael nodded a farewell to Avery, then his attention slammed back onto Eric. This, was going to be fun. Indeed....*
*Now there was a reason for him being on Barbossa's side. The bad side. Because, he was evil really. Only emotion he'd ever really show was towards Selina. And being that Eric was now his prey, he eyed him like a mouse caught in a trap. A very DEADLY trap. There was no escaping him.*
*Eric was tall, yes, a few inches shorter than him. He was built, definitely looked strong. But Michael was, in a sense, massive. Not heavy or chubby looking, just massive altogether, with muscle wise, height wise, and presence wise allllll tying in together. Basically, you'd want him on your good side.*
*And now that Eric was on his bad side, he caefully thought over what game he could draw him in. It was all fun to him; death. Torturing men until they cried.Vicious, yes, but he liked it. But he knew he had no time for making Eric look like a human zebra. He'd get his fun, but not that way.*
*Challenges to him were great. It was like giving the enemy a spark of hope, and then watching it all be ripped away. That's what he'd do. Smirking and folding his arms across his chest at the other man's challenge, he shook his head, as if all Eric was to him was nieve and idiotic.*
"You've got heart, I'll give you that. But, heart doesnt win you life. So we'll see what does."
*Throwing him a small dagger, he spoke up as if reading rules in a football game.*
"The only rules are these. Your dagger, my knives. Nothing else to be used but bare hands. Sound fair to you chap? Doesnt really matter though. Its that or HE'LL finish you off."
*Pointing up, he gestured to Cruentus circling above, the sharp claws gleaming in the moonlight. Then, taking a ready pose, he waited. Waited and let silence soak in around them. Played off of the tension in the air. He had his knives waiting, but he'd use his hands. Weapons were always fun, but he luved defeating opponents the EASY way. Clenching his fests, flexing his muscles, and setting his jaw, he stood there, staring at Eric in the most mocking, challenging manner.*

*Eric eyed Michael with a nervous type of anticipation. The man was bulkier than he was, and taller too by quite a few inches it seemed. Any other day and Eric could have had a good chance with him, as he was an excellent fighter. But in his condition now, with the fate of Evelyn weighing so heavily on his mind, he knew he had no chance. Though he still refused to back down.
As the man said he had heart Eric glarred at him and smirked.* And obviously you don't. *He stated. He wasn't afraid of dying, but he'd be an idiot if he wasn't afraid of being tortured first. His only hope now was not for himself but for Evy, that whatever happened to him, wouldn't happen to her as well. He caught the dagger that Michael tossed to him and looked it over swiftly before returning his gaze to the man. Unfortunately, blades of any kind were not his strong point.
He lingered for a moment, not daring to look up at Cruentus. Instead he tossed the daggar aside, with his skills it wouldn't be of any use to him anyhow. With all the strength he could muster up he charged towards Michael, throwing himself into the man in hopes of knocking him off balance. As he did so he managed to get in a swift but hard punch just behind the mans jaw and below his ear.* You better hope you kill me now you bastard, or I'll come after you. *He hissed.*

Evelyn looked to Barbossa and cringed. His breath carried a powerful stench with it and his skin was seemingly rotting on the spot. "Yer a bloody disgusting piece of filth...ye know that? The last time since we met? 'Bout a YEAR ago I believe...it's been TOO bloody short a time...I was hopin' I'd never have ta see YOU again." Evelyn muttered at him. When he called to bind her she struggled. "NO!" She called and as Avery lunged for her she slapped him violently, leaving scratch marks upon his face. In his eyes she saw anger boil and she made to run, he pulled her arm and then punched her hard in the stomach.
Evelyn keeled over and gasped for breath but Avery held her up slightly and leaned in to whisper something. "If you didn't remind me of my sister so much, you'd be dead right now."
Evelyn blinked and gasped, trying to fill her lungs with air again and then was quickly bound. Her hands were tied together tightly, causing the rope to chafe her wrists horribly. Her feet were bare and they flinched slightly as they stepped upon a spider crawling across the green floors. She turned her eyes to Barbossa. "Cooperative?" Evelyn managed to say through a gasp of air. " 'M NEVER goin' ta be cooperative mate...jus' so ye know." She stated matter of factly. Soon she was gagged, a piece of cloth was tied about her mouth and she could say nothing.
Evelyn sat there, looking about the crew and their glares her way. One even dared approaching her and cackled as he prodded her with a stick. "This one's a bloody wench...I can see it..." the distorted man grinned. A few looked her over hungrily and Evelyn's heartbeat quickened and she closed her eyes slightly, praying she wouldn't have to go through what she had all those years ago...
Luis looked up at the Captain and looked Evelyn over as he bent over to her. He sneered at her and smiled slyly. Then as Barbossa spoke to him, Luis ran a hand through his hair. "I am Luis. Former member of the Spanish navy, and spy. I was part of Jack Sparrow's crew...but ONLY to get information on El Dorado..." Luis spoke quickly. He knew that if he took too long and Barbossa didn't see a reason to keep him alive, he would be dead.
"Evelyn KNOWS where El Dorado is...she told me so before I was dumped over the side of the ship and discovered." Luis' eyes darted about uncomfortably. "Keep me alive and I shall join your crew, I can contribute, AND I know where Jack Sparrow and his crew are. Perhaps we can beat them to the treasure, or if you WISH we can simply find him and do away with him now..." he suggested. although deep down, Luis knew getting to El Dorado first would be most important.
Jack would eventually end up there and then they could do away with him...he hoped his case woudl be accepted by the legendary Captain...who's reputation did not stand upon simply robbing ships and letting prisoners go free...

::Barbossa eyed Luis suspiciously. He'd surrounded himself with enough ill-reputable men in the past that he knew how to recognize one when he met him. And this "spy" was certainly one to keep an eye on::
"Ye say yer a spy...who d'ye work for then? Or, could it be that yer a man o' no loyalties, in which case why should I trust ye? We've come a long way ta find El Dorado, an' I won' turn our plans o'er ta someone like yerself. Prove ta me yer trustworthy, an' perhaps I won' kill ye were ye stand..."
:: One particularly burly pirate stepped forward out of the crowd, licking his lips as he looked Evelyn over:: "My, yeh be a purty lass... what d'ye taste like, me wonders...? ::He took a few steps forward, hand outstretched toward Evy's face::

*Michael was suprised. The man had spirit. Even after being beaten up by that Luis man. But as much as Eric threatened, and hissed, he wouldn't become angry. He never got angry.
*Only few chances, when something REAL bad was tossed in his face, would he get mad. And when he was, it was ferociously bad....so that was a good thing for Eric.*
*The hard punch to his jaw made him tilt back on his heels by the startled tackle of it all. He moved his jaw about until it popped, recovering his balance quickly.*
*Lunging at Eric, who was right before him, he had him flat on the ground, sending a hard punch across his face and knocking the wind out of him a bit by the impact on the ground. But Eric was tough apparently. Definite spirit in him. For, as Michael thought he'd already one, the man had him on HIS back now, and he was receiving rather big blows to his sides.*
*Growling deeply, he, in a seconds time, had his feet on Eric's chest as his knees bent, and with one huge effort, threw the man backwards by pushing him off of his legs. And a tree happened to stop him from tumbling down on the ground.*
*Michael, standing and dusting himself off slowly, made his way towards his opponent with a triumphant smirk. Wrapping his hand around his throat and dragging him up against the tree, producing a bit of scratches on his back due to the bark's rugged texture, he held him up high enough to be off of his feet, strangling the man dangerously slow.*
*Watching Eric's face turn paler and paler, he had a thought. This man was fighting for the woman he loved, yes? He sighed. Women. But he understood now. He had Selina. He would've doen the same thing. But he NEVER showed anyone, ANYONE mercy. So he couldn't now...or could he?*
*Bloody love. Made people do crazy things. Michael was actually contemplating shedding mercy on this wretch. He knew he had to get back to the others. He knew theyd need to move. So he blamed it on time. Squeezing Eric's neck one last time to leave him on the evrge of death, and sure unconsciousness for a while, he threw him across the space against another tree and dusted his hands off. Sighing in victory, he spoke up as he watched the other move a bit before going limp.*
"I have to admit, you were a fine enemy. Made me tired, actually. If you survive all of this, drop by. I'm sure I could spend more time on you."
*And then he began walking off towards Barbossa's direction. Soo, soooo much fun.*

Avery had just been about to follow his Captain's orders when the damned woman, Evelyn she had been named, slapped him and attempted to run. That was it, he would not take the abuse. It wasn't something against her, in fact normally he would go easy on her, but he couldn't take anyone attempting to hurt him. He lashed out and grabbed her arm, stopping the woman just long enough to punch her hard in the stomach. He kept her from falling and quickly whispered in her ear, "If you didn't remind me of my sister so much, you'ld be dead right now."
With that he was passed rope from one of the crew and he quickly bound her hands and feet. He made it tight, she wasn't getting away on his watch. He would not be blamed for her escape. He didn't particularily like the idea of being marooned here or killed for that reason.
But as he watched the crew eyeing her, he suddenly became protective again. She really did remind him over his sister, especially now. He had often found her like this, with men standing over her reading to take her. He had fought so many battles to keep her safe, when something like that had happened. He would have given his life for her and now she was gone. He could understand that, he hadn't been there for her enough. He couldn't have been there enough. One too many times, she had to leave. But know, know he had no idea where she was.
Sighing slightly, a small sadness seeping through his blue eyes, he noticed as a man approached his captive. The man reached out to her, but he could do nothing but glare. She was a captive and unless the Captain gave him orders standing up for her could give off the impression of treachery. He stood helplessly feeling in his heart her pain and terror.

*A surprised look came over Erics face as the man recovered swiftly from the punch and the tackle. That only further confirmed the thought in his mind that he'd loose this fight. He began to wonder if he'd ever see Evelyn again but he didn't have long to think about it when suddenly Michael lunged at him.
He was flat on his back now with the man on top of him. Again the wind was knocked out of him and again he was punched. His head jerked to the side as he coughed and took in a gulp of air. He wouldn't loose this easily, no matter how beaten up he was. He grabbed the mans arms and threw him off him so that now their positions were reversed. He scowled at the man and began punching him wildly in the side.
Seconds later Eric felt himself being hurdled backwards and he smashed into a tree, flopping to the ground in a limp heap with a grunt. He had just gotten to his hands and knees when he felt a firm grasp around his throat and he was lifted up and pushed into the tree. He winced as the bark dug into his back and he struggled.
Slowly, everything was going black and the noises of the jungle now seemed non existant. He began to struggle less and less as Michael was choking the life out of him. As the man gave his neck one last squeeze, Eric quit struggling and though he was still awake he couldn't see. He felt himself slam into another tree and could just make out the words of Michael. He blinked a few times and tried to move but couldn't and in moments he was limp. The only thing showing that he was alive now was the rise and fall of his chest, which was almost too faint to see.*

Evelyn groaned a bit and looked to the man who was slowly approaching her. She blinked slowly at him and scooted away and out of his reach. Her heartbeat raced and she gulped hard. She shook her head and glared at him, muttering curses through the cloth. She scooted back and soon she hit a tree and she stared up. Rustling occured and she looked back at the man, DARING him to touch her with the strongest of glares.
"YERMF BLOODY COWARDMF..." Evelyn muttered through it as her eyes went wide. She shifted her eyes about and looked to the crew, hoping ONE of them would have a heart enough to spare her this. Her lip trembled...Evelyn had been put through TOO much this night...and she wanted it all to stop. She wanted to be back with Eric, to tell him all the wonderful things she never had a chance to. To simply linger with him. But now...she was away from him, afraid of his fate, afraid for the crew, lost, and utterly helpless....AGAIN...
Evelyn managed to kick out hard, making the man buckle a bit and then plastered herself against the tree. She braced herself and her body tensed, closing her eyes Evelyn looked to the side, not wanting to witness what might happen to her.
Luis went looked to Barbossa and gave him a charming grin. His good skills with persuading people had always gotten him through but somehow, he didn't think that Barbossa would allow him to join this batch with no REAL merit to show for it. "I work for no one." Luis stated plainly and with a nod, wiping the grin from his face. "I come on my own terms, I only seek a bit of the gold that is promised in this City of gold...I already BROUGHT you Evelyn, she knows of the treasure." Then he turned his eyes to his crew, which just moments before had been rather mutinous.
He came closer to the Captain and leaned into him slightly. "If I were YOU, I would be WANTING an eager man as myself to join your band...because it seems..." Luis said turning his head to the side a bit and flashing a smirk, "that your CURRENT crew is not TOO happy..." He said satisfactorily. "Prove myself? I do not need to do so...actions speak louder than any sort of self mutilation I can perform here." Luis spoke clearly, accentuating his words, making certain the Captain understood him even under his heavy Spanish accent.
"But, if I should betray you in ANY, and I mean ANY fashion...then you have the right to dispose of me in any way you deem fit." He told him with a nod of his head. For a moment Luis looked over his shoulder at Evelyn who was seemingly struggling as a stranger approached her and he sneered. Then turning back with the sneer still in place he reached out his hand. "Do we, erm...have an accord?" he asked him lifting a dark, thick, brow.

Tasha lifted her head up as Avery came back with two hostages, a woman and a Spaniard. The Spaniard looked greasy, and the woman looked rough. They were most likely part of Jack's crew. Avery tied the woman up and Barbossa was talking to the man. Tasha immeadiatly disliked the man and didn't want to be near him. She walked over to the woman, where she was tied up, a man was near her leaning over her and Tasha noticed Avery was there watching them. The woman seemed to be trying to resist. Tasha didn't like the thought of trying to men abusing women, but she would only step in if no one stopped it. Tasha walked over to Avery. Where did you find them? She motioned to the captives.
