*Diana honestly looked close to tears when Jack showed up* "No, captain. We've not seen any trace of him. It's been all night."
*She looked at Jack nervously** "You think he's alright? I mean, nothing could have happened. But then. Cannibels." Her voice trailed off and she looked ready to begin crying right there* "Jack we just HAVE to find him! one way or another. I'm not leavin' him in this place!"

// Lily had been a bit aways into the jungle when Jack showed up. She shook her head if he asked if they'd found him//
"no. and I can't find anything that would even suggest he's out here. No bits of clothing, no blood. Which, given the problem, I guess that's a good thing."
// She turned to her captain and asked simply// "any ideas?"

(Eve, Eric... if you guys erm... dun like this... I blame Tobbs! It's all her fault... No if you don't like it we can change it. ^.^ But it still is her fault!)
Avery gimanced at his companions words, but none the less he knew that he would fight if necessary. He just hoped that when the time came for fighting it would not be against his own crew. He would protect his Captain and new friend, Micheal, if he had to, he just prayed he would not have to against these men.
Slowly, Ry followed Micheal towards the Captain and the front of the crew, his hand slipping to the hilt of his sword. He watched the crew as his friend began to address them.
Blue eyes met blue eyes. Avery drew in a deep, slow breath. Looking deep into the stunning blue eyes, he found himself having problems breaking the gaze. He lost all focus on the going ons around him. He did not even notice as the Captain held up a small block of gold. His eyes were locked with those of another pair. Deep blue eyes that could melt the heart of any man. They showed intelligence and a love of life that was so rare in people. He wanted to go to the owner of the eyes and talk with her, but he couldn't move or think. He was trapped.
He was broken out of his trance at a roar of approval from the crew. Blinking, he cast a glance at the Captain and quickly figured out what had happened. Allowing a small smile to flash across his face, he glanced back at the blue-eyed woman. This time he noticed her beautiful curly golden blonde hair and fair, smooth skin. Finding her occupying his thoughts again, he moved towards Micheal and grabbed the man by the elbow.
"Captain," he said addressing their leader, "Micheal and I will go ahead and scout out a path." Without waiting for a response from either man he trotted forward dragging Micheal behind him. He couldn't get the image of the blue-eyed beauty out of his mind. He had needed to get away.
"Who was that? The blue-eyed woman?" he questioned his companion as soon as they were far enough away. Just as Micheal opened his mouth to answer, Ry motioned him silent. He had heard voices. Signalling for his companion to stay put, he moved stealthily through the jungle until he came upon a small clearing. Standing there were two pirates he did not recognize from his own crew. Moving back again, he stepped next to Micheal and whispered in his ear, "There's a man and a woman standing about ten yards ahead of us. I don't recognize them from the crew. Should we take them?"
Micheal nodded slightly and the two headed forwards. Pausing just as they came fowards, Micheal motioned for Avery to get the woman while he took care of the man.
Avery crept up behind, the woman and pressed his blade to her neck, whispering in her ear, "Don't move unless you wish to shorten your lifespan." He watched while the man's eyes widened as he felt a sword press lightly against his throat. A head appeared next to him with a wicked grin on his face. Micheal had subdued the man quickly.
"Either of you move, and you both die," Avery told them. "Now, where is the rest of your crew? Tell us and perhaps we'll spare your lives."

Tasha looked up quickly towards Avery and noticed him staring at her. She blushed, but stood strong and held his gaze. He had beautiful icy blue eyes. They looked so deep and showed a strength inside him. She looked away and saw him and Micheal leave the group, from the corner of her eye. She wondered where they were going and moved over to Selina. They walked in silence for a bit, before Tasha decided to ask Selina the question that was stuck in her head. Selina, who was that man, with the red hair. I haven't seen him before, is he new?

Rhys nodded in thanks at Jason as he raised the torch for her. Running after him, she searched the black jungle vainly with her eyes. He had to be around here somewhere.
The group came to a halt as the sun began to rise, they still had not found Fishy, and were unsure of what to do. Discussing the problem only seemed to get them to go in circles. Too many 'what if's were brought into play. They needed a plan.
Just then the Captain joined them. She smiled knowing that now they had a better chance of finding the poor man. Her eyes drifted around the group until they landed on the monkey, "Does Paul know which way?"

::Jack nodded at Rhys, frowning. He didn't like theidea of one of his crew wandering about alone. and he had a rather dark feeling that they weren't alone out here.....he wasn't sure why he felt that way....he just had a feeling....::
::His body registered the feeling. The one he got when Barbossa was near...but.....how? Jack's eyes grew black from a penned up anger. He looked around the area::
"Alright. We need to find young Fishy soon. But we're doing this together. I won't have us split up like this.....Jason, Kalin...get back to camp....and rejoin us. We'll be right here. Make sure everyone's packed and ready to go.......move!"
::Jack's demeanor was getting rather testy now that he was sensing danger. Protective and angry. He frowned.:: "Swords, pistols, whatever ye have out.....I don't like this...."

*Will simply grinned as he watched Jack fold up the map. Hawk and Rose were interesting enough to watch, and they had a fairly normal mother. What would happen to the poor spawn of Jack and Tobbs? As the Captain questioned him he pondered over it a little and gave a shrug.* I don't know really. *He said, glancing at Elizabeth.* I suppose use it so that I can give her things, not the money she gets from Governor Swann. *He answered finally, still feeling bad about the fact that without the man he'd never be able to give his wife all that she had now.
Wills eyes moved about the camp, quite a few of the crew were missing and he wondered if they were just out exploring had gotten themselves lost....or taken during the night. He frowned a little and shrugged as Jack asked if anyone had seen where they went. He watched as Jack rushed off to find them and figured it best if he just stayed behind. The more people that went on a search party, the greater odds of more of them getting lost. So instead he went back over to Elizabeth.*

Mark was sleeping quite well, for he did not dream about much. He was suddenly awakened when the equalibrium was disturbed by the crack of a pistol. He flung wide awake and drew his pistol and pointed it in the direction of the sound. He realized it was just Jack and he holstered his weapon. He sat there gathering himself. He rose to his feet and drew his sword. He ventured into the jungle to gather up a breakfast. He came along a good sized snake. ' Snake makes a fine meal. ' He said to himself. With one clean slice the animal was dead. He found some banannas on a nearby tree. He plucked a few off it and made a small cooking fire. He cooked the snake and ate the banannas. He drank some water from a nearby stream. It was a rather refreshing meal. He returned to the camp and sat down. He waited patiently for the next move.

*Returning Roux's smile with her own, she blinked a few times when he explained what happened. So it was serious, then? She grew worried herself. And then, just as Jack began to look like he was concluding what to do, she was ready to protest. She knew what he was thinking.*
*And then, right as whe was dodging off to leave, she was ready to follow right on his heels with complaints. She paused after two or three steps, sighing as she gave up hope of stopping him.*
"JACK, BUT-"
*No matter, he wasn't stopping. Shrugging and muttering something, she went back to standing next to Roux, keeping her eyes on the jungle where the captain diappeared.*
"Going after a crew mate that's lost and a search party that could no doubtedly be lost as well. 'ow does that all work out?"
*She didn't try to disguise the worry in her voice this time around. She could trust Roux wouldnt do anything to take advantage of noting that weakness (she still viewed it as one at least).*
*Glancing over as Mark re-entered camp, she gestured for him to come over. Something had seemed to make him a bit distant from the crew, and while she hadn't even known he was left behind injured, she assumed something of the sort had happened, and wished to make ammends on whatever it was.*
"Mornin' Mark. did ya 'ave somethin' to eat?"

Post by Evelyn on Sept 18, 2004 15:16:39 GMT -5
Evelyn shook her head at Eric's words. It wasn't her fault? Of course it was...she could have done more...maybe if she fought back more fiercely, spat in his face, screamed...something...
But Evelyn sighed. If it had happened over again she would never have allowed it to happen but it was over and there was nothing she could do to change it. She supposed that's what ate at her the worst. That SHE, Evelyn Pearl, had her innocence ripped from her. That there were men alive that could say they had taken a piece of her and anger surged within her again. It wasn't fair...she was only a young girl then...
Evelyn wiped her tears and she turned to face Eric. She rolled his eyes as he spoke. He was being a bastard...how could he say those things when just minutes ago he was doubting his lover for her. Her honeyed eyes were hurt and she narrowed them. "Y'know what? I WISH I could believe yer words Eric really...I love ye so much but...I mean how could ye say that NOW and naught but two seconds ago ye were doubting yer lover fer me?" She asked him flailing her arms about a bit wildly.
She snorted hard a bit and then looked at him as he apologized. "Ye really need ta sort things out Eric...I can' depend on someone who's not so damned sure." She muttered at him and her eyes turned a bit more soft. "And ye are better Eric...really...ye've been my closest friend...and so much more, I just don't understand why yer so bloody confused 'bout things...ye bloody KNEW I was difficult to start with." She sighed heavily, the gentle hum of the assorted bugs about the jungle was calming and it seemed as if the whole jungle had gone into a hush after her small rant.
Her hand were on her hips now and she took a step towards him. She hated to see him look hurt in this manner. The gentle pools of moonlight washed over him and his curls glinted. She gave a small smirk and she shook her head, wanting to shake off all the negative feelings for him at the moment. He spoke of loving her more than anything and a few other things. Evelyn took this all in as she slowly approached him.
She couldn't help it, her heart was guiding her at the moment and the soft shuffling of her dirty boots grazed the jungle floor. "Eric...don' ye EVER think I'd want ye ta leave...savvy? Can' ye see? I'd be lost without ye...even if you CAN say the wrong things sometimes..." Evelyn had placed a hand softly upon his cheek and looked up to look into his eyes but at her last comments she pulled back from him. "And even if ye DO hurt me sometimes..." she said slowly as if she was beginning to see that he really did seem to deal out a bit too much hurt to her.
"I just, I don' expect it from YOU...of all people...I mean...YOu." Evelyn's eyes were a bit sad and she shook her head. She wasn't sure what to say and a crystal, glimmering tear fell from her eye. Evelyn bit her lip and sniffled. It was all so difficult...she wouldn't want him to leave...not for anything in the world, it seems she'd even sacrifice her happiness for him, but she only wished he could stop hurting her at the wrong moments...
"Yer a bloody bastard sometimes...ye know that?" Evelyn glared at him now, and she lifted a brow. Just as she shook her head and turned to leave however, there was a rustling and before Eve could pull out her sword, there was a blade at her throat. "Eric run!" She yelled at him but the blade stuck to her closely and she cringed.
Her eyes darted around, Eric...that was all that occupied her mind at the moment. "Yer bloody out of yer mind if ye think I'll tell ye that...ye bloody sacks of sea worms!" Evelyn growled at the two men angrily. The blade dug into her a bit more and she strained agains its sharp touch. Her heartbeat quickened and she lifted her head, sadness was beginning to envelope her quietly...like a dark black cloak that was being pulled over her.
She looked at Eric, trying to catch his gaze and mouthed the words, "Get the crew..." if anything..he might be able to save himself and that's all that mattered...

*Elizabeth drifted back into laying down when the stun of the shot going off subdued. She didn't feel all that well AGAIN, and blamed the jungle. It HAD to be some sign of jungle fever...even if a new idea popped into her mind on what else it could be...*
*She could barely hear a few words Jack and her husband spoke over. But she did catch most of the last bit. It made her fidget a bit just to think Will was still stressing over that matter. But she'd say nothing. There was no need to do so.*
*When he came back over, she opened her eyes with a flutter of her lashes, sitting up and talking ehrself out of feeling sick. Or trying to. Letting her hair down and packing up the clips that had first held it up, she stretched and yawned a bit more.*
*Standing, she dusted herself off and smiled over at Will as she turned and hugged him, resting her head against him.*
"Good morning, Mr. Turner. Sleep well darling?"
*That queasy feeling was tossing in her stomach again. SOMETHING in this jungle was really making her uncomfortable. She sighed, a bit sore to think of it, closing ehr eyes and keeping close to him.*
"Any idea where they've all gone off too? I slept a bit early I admit...was feeling awfully tired, so I must have missed it."

Selina looked to the Captain with a sigh of relief. "Ah...thank God." She sighed as she looked around the crew. They all seemingly dove towards Bossa, crowding around to see the lump of gold. A few shouts came and cheers erupted. The mutiny had been subdued for now...
Selina's green eyes then looked to Michael and she smiled warmly. Attempting to make her way to him though, she paused. She furrowed her brows and watched as he and Avery made their way towards the jungles. They approached slowly and Selina suspected they had spotted something but she held her ground for the moment. Perhaps it would be best if she did not draw attention to herself and their search.
Suddenly Tasha's voice came to her ears and she blinked. She was startled a bit but gave a sly smirk. "Him? Oh...Avery I believe...has only been with the crew for a short time...a bit quiet really...mostly keeps to himself." She answered as she watched her gaze had followed him. Selina lifted a brow at her but said nothing...it was none of her business really....
Luis looked to Barbossa's crew and he glanced around them all. It seemed none had taken too much note of his arrival, or either didn't care. He smirked slightly at this, believing he'd probably blend in a bit better this way anyways. Barobossa lifted a piece of gold and he smiled slyly. They were one the track...perhaps they woulnd't really NEED Eve so much anyway...
Luis' eyes looked around and he spotted two rather large members of the crew head off into the jungles. Luis' eyes had been fixed upon the one called Selina...he couldn't help but take in the sheer beauty of her and he found himself inching his way towards her before he heard a bit of a commotion and turned again.
Luis put a hand through his greasy hair, narrowed his eyes, and followed them. Soon he had found himself in a bit of a clearing, and looking past the jungles he spotted the four of them...three men...and...EVLEYN?! Was that her? Luis rushed forward. "Evelyn?" Luis asked with a sneer on his face. He went to Eric and looked to the two crew members. "They're part of Jack Sparrow's crew..." he said rolling his eyes at them. Approaching Eric, Luis faced him and gave a sneer. He spat in his face slightly and gave an evil laugh.
"Well...look who has the last laugh now." Luis then gave a hard punch to Eric's stomach, making him bend over trying to catch his breath. He then pounded Eric over the back with both of his fists and watched him fall to the ground. Luis kicked him hard in the side and then looked up to the other crew members. "Take HER...she's the one you want. Evelyn knows where El Dorado is."
He went towards Eve and gave her a strong slap across the face. "Ye bloody wench...did ye really think ye'd be rid of me?" He asked her as he lifted a dark brow.

*Michael grunted as he saw someone approaching the scene. He'd followed Avery and had Eric subdued with the point of his sword at his neck. Now, who was this stranger?*
*Judging the man and woman to know eachother, and the one he held still by his blade as well, he watched with interest when Luis attacked Eric and slapped Evy.*
*Eying the man with curiosity and not trust at all really, he ahemmed a bit to interrupt him and get his attention. His deep voice and intimidating stance was not more visible with Eric on the ground.*
"I hate to interrupt this...reunion. But what in hell's name do you think you're doing? You aren't part of Barbossa's crew. I haven't seen you before."
*He scanned the man over but kept a good watch on Eric out of the corner of his eye. This man might be of use if he knew this lady had a sense on where to get to the city of gold.*
"And how do you know if she can tell us where El Dorado is? How do we judge IF you aren't one of them? We could easily finish you off where you stand, sir. I don't have time to waste right now."

Luis turned as someone approached him and he smirked slyly. "I, am Luis FORMER Spanish Naval officer, and spy." He said with a greasy grin and approached Micahel, but kept his distance. Michael easily towered over Luis, but he deemed himself of enough stature to put up a good fight. "I know we have not been ACQUAINTED, really...but listen to me, that girl..."
Luis lifted a finger and pointed to Evelyn and he narrowed his eyes a bit. "she knows where El Dorado is...I had been spying upon the crew, making them BELIEVE I was part of them to get part of the gold myself." Luis stated lying through his teeth.
He stepped up to Michael and eyed him carefully. His Spanish accent tugged on his words. "Take me with you and Barbossa's crew...I know of Jack's company. They are not far from here. I have been spying on them for some time. Keep me around and I might tell you more about this City of gold...and besides, you risk nothing...for I have no quarrel with you, I only ask for a piece of the gold for myself, and to ultimately finish this woman off myself." Luis growled as he looked to Evelyn and his eyes narrowed.
He crossed his arms. His eyes boring into her and he shook his head then turned back to Michael.

*Michael grunted slightly at Luis's first reply. He seemed to have some sort of pride over this title. He was judging now if he could take the man down. Well, he was taller than the man, that was certain, but he seemed like he'd not make things easy if it came to that. No matter, he'd been through many fights before this. He'd not worry now. He never did.*
*Keeping silent throughout Luis's speech, his eyes grew interested when he began referring to El Dorado and Jack's crew again. He'd heard that the one he seeked was spotted with the likes of those on the Black Pearl. And she was the key to the door that blocked out what he knew about his family, his old crew, and his life before SHE got involved. If Tobbs was with Jack's crew, Luis had an advantage. A convincing detail to produce acceptance.*
"I must clearly admit...I despise most officers and authorities who serve under royalties and crowns. But there can be exceptions...."
*He was thinking over this now. Glancing at Avery, his new ally, he judged that Barbossa would think of the man as a valuable asset to the crew because of what he knew. So, he'd try to convince his new captain that the man would be useful. Carefully examining him with a steady gaze, he finally disrupted the silence.*
"She knows where El Dorado is? Well then....IF you can prove you know where Jack's crew and the captain is, and lead us to them, AND extract this knowledge the lass has of where The City of Gold lies, then I will NOT kill you. I'm sure the captain will allow you some measure of the gold we find. So, Luis, we have an accord."
*Edging closer to him and lowering his voice slightly just to add a bit of deadly silence in it, he continued.*
"And if you screw this up, you know who's sword'll finish you off."
*Turning back to Avery and giving him a nod, he shot Evelyn his attention and muttered.*
"So you'll be coming with us then. Make a sound, and we'll make it so you'll never utter a sound again. Value your tongue any?"
*He hated threatening women, and especially disliked injuring them, but he was whom he was. Evil was in him, and that left no room for kindness and compassion on others. All but Selina didn't matter to him.*
"Alright, back to Barbossa. Avery, perhaps you can lead the lady to the captain. Luis, best accompany him. Any last words to your friend over here best be said now."
*He didn't rightly know all he was going to do to Eric. Do some damage, of course. But how to do it was what made him pause. Torture him? Mutilate him? Kill him off the quick way? Well...as much as he hated to think of it, itd have to be something quick. No time to have fun, he guessed. So, awaiting Luis's last remarks or actions, he glared at the man with a smirk that only said to be prepared.*
