*Tobbs let her eyes rest on Jack as she heard him speak. Quoting Norrington, was he? She turned slightly and was more in a wakeful mood, letting the comfortable position she was in make her relax a bit more as she listened to him.*
"And 'o said restin' means I don' talk? I mean 'onestly, people CAN talk while they rest. Some people talk while they sleep."
"And another thing, methinks you wouldn't know what kind of predicament you'd be in just like the last time I let you slip away while I slept. So I doubt I'll be gettin much sleep anyways unless I have some kind of knowledge you're right there. "
*She spoke just above a whisper, slightly unintentionally yet consciously being obstinate to what Jack had said. Which was to be silent and rest. She wasn't good at obeying so easily it seemed*
"And as much as its 'ard to believe comin' from the likes of me, I AM slightly shaken being that you were stolen by natives and almost burned for a feast of the tribe. I might try and 'ide it from everyone else, but I can't 'elp worrying about you Jack, so if yer gonna try and order me not to care about it and just be concerned with myself 'ere, I don't think-"
*And well, it kinda went like that for a bit, her voice still controlled although slightly above a whisper more, full of plain honesty and stubbornness as she spoke to the captain.*

::Jack opened his eyes again, listened to Tobbs....sighed heavily, and without one word took her face genlty in his hands and asked sincerly::
"What does it take to get you to rest?" And before he let her answer he kissed her again. Same as before, enough to stun her just a little and make her nervous enough to not talk a while. impassioned and rather insistent. Just enough to stun her....::
::when he pulled back he stared at her, once more a bit of mischief and challange glittering in his eyes: "Now rest, please."#nosmileys

Mark was dozeing quite nicely when he heard a muffled cry in the distance. He sprung to his feet and listened for the noise. The cry came up again and then suddenly vanished. He drew both his guns and pulled the hammers back. He began to sprint through the jungle as fast as he could. He could see that the others were begginning to sprint to the aide of the person in need. Along the way he found out it was Jack Sparrow. That man could get into trouble in a room filled with nothing. He could see some flames ahead. He heard chanting and he burst into the village. He stopped for a moment not believing what he was seeing.
"CANNIBALS!"
He yelled. He lifted his guns and aimed them at a cannibal that had a spear lifted in the air ready to be thrown. He fired his guns and dropped two of the man eating beasts. He holstered his guns and drew his sword. It would see battle once more. He blocked a spear from piercing his stomach and then jabbed his sword into the mans throat. He was hit from behind with a club or something, he didn't know what, he fell to the ground and quickly rolled over and slashed the attacker. He knew if he didn't get out of this place soon he'd either have to drop the whole village or be killed. He took out a few upon his exit. He ran with the others into the jungle. He dropped to his knees and wiped his forehead. He looked at his hand. It was covered in a dark red liquid. His eyes widened for a moment. ' probably from one of the man eaters. ' He told himself. He suddenly felt a searing pain in his side. He looked down and noticed a slim wooden stick sticking from his side. He must have fallen onto a pungi stick or something on his exit from the village when he was knocked down. He let out a cry of pain.
"Awwwwrrrrrrrggggg!"
He fell to the ground and said nothing more

Evelyn looked to Eric and gave a small glare his way shaking his head a bit. She didn't want him staying by her side and she looked back to the enemy who were crowding about them, randomly taking a jab at the two. Evelyn grabbed the end of another spear, cutting her hand a bit at the tip barely grazed her hand but it was barely a scratch to Evy really. She pulled the spear closed and stabbed out, taking out another.
"Ye SHOULDN' have stayed by my side like this ye know...I was FINE even before ye came..." She said as she gave a deep sigh. Then soon a gunshot reverberated through their small crowd of cannibals and Eve looked over her shoulder quickly, looking to Jack who had shot a blast into the crowd and followed the rest of the crew on their way out.
Her eyes wandered around but at the moment Eve wasn't concerned for anyone else's well being but her own. All she knew was she had a stinging cut on her left arm and a cut in her hand, nothing that would bother her really, just needed to be patched up really. She ran along with the crew while keeping watch behind the crew, lagging a bit to make sure no one followed them. As they finally were out of sight and Jack spoke again Evelyn leaned against a tall tree and shook her head. Her breathing was rapid and she wheezed a bit. The whole activity had taken a lot out of her and she was about ready to collapse from the tiredness of it all.
Her curls stuck to her skin and she looked around the crew as they all made to tend to their various wounds. But unlike some, Eve was completely still on her utmost alert state and her pricked ears caught the sound of a small trickling. There was a stream nearby and so, slipping away a bit Evelyn gave a side glance at Eric wondering if he'd follow, shrugged, and found a small stream. There Evelyn knelt down and smiled slightly. It was a sight for sore eyes really. She placed her bloodied hand into the stream and watched as the crimson hue of her blood wash into the clear stream.
Sitting at its bank she scooped up some of the life giving waters and splashed it onto her face and then made to sweep up her hair. Taking a small piece of a leather from her pocket she tied her hair into a low pony tail and allowed the waters to wash over herself a bit, washing her hand, and refreshing herself a bit. She shook her head a bit at it all. It had happened so quickly and she remained a bit disgruntled at Eric, but she couldn't help but deep down, appreciate what he had done.

*Tobbs shut herself up when she felt his hands on her face, and as she was about to retort that she was simply stating ehr point and nothing more, he kissed her. Not just any kiss either. One of those passionate dramatic kisses he was good at. Which of course made her silenced and her focus completely on him.*
*She lay her head back down on his chest when he told her to rest, closing her eyes and drifting off into a short light sleep, a bit of a dream working through her mind.*
*It was a bad one really, kind of almost a shadow of what had just happened. Jack being taken away, which was really something she feared greatly; everything she cared for always was taken away.*
*At the end of this haunting memory, she felt the chill of being alone, alone with Jack slowly disappearing. Shifting a bit in her sleep, she reached out a bit as if trying to grasp ahold of him. It woke her from her sleep, and she felt around in the darkness for the captain in almost desparation.*
"Jack!"
*She whispered it in a somewhat shouting kind of way, not enough to wake the others, but enough to send her from her sleeping state. When her hand rested on his arm, she clasped it in relief and hugged him to make sure he was there, letting any feeling in her shoulder be unthought of as she rested her moist face back on his chest, half afraid he wasnt even there and she was being deceived.*
*She heard him mutter something and cursed to ehrself. She must have waken him if he had been sleeping. Sighing and glancing down, she looked to his side and her eyes slightly widened. The bandage of cloths looked pretty soaked.*
"Jack...Jack you asleep? Captain?
She squeezed his hand with hers and leveled herself with him.*
"Jack, bloody 'ell, fine, Im changing these wasted bandages whether yer conscious or not, savvy?"
*And with that, she began fidgeting with her belt to loosen it and remove the bandages she had put it, carefully so not to hurt him more, pulling at his legs slightly just to straighten his side out more so she could see it in the dim light.*

::When he work up again she was changing his bandages. He blinked once and reached out a hand to grab her wrist: "Ye know luv, if yer planning on what it looks like yer planning on doing ye might want a bed to lie on...." He winked just suggestivly enough to make someone blush, and laughed a bit. "Not to mention a room and some privacy...."He couldn't help it really..he just had a wierd sense of humor.::
::All the same he turned on his side and stared at her:: "What happened ot just sleepin? You have somethin' aganist the custom?" He asked curiously. "Because I've never seen a more sleep resistant lass in my life......"#nosmileys

Selina woke exhausted and aching a bit. She groaned a bit and fluttered her eyes open very slowly, her emerald eyes landing upon Michael and she smirked slightly. At the moment she was draped across Michael's broad chest and she simply closed her eyes savoring these few moments, simply relishing in the rythmn of his breathing. What they had was...truly inexplicable. He was gentle and very aware of her, it almost reminded her of how Damien had been.
She sighed at this thought and noticed the rocking of the ship had slowed some. The storm must have passed and she could hear a bit of a raucous outside the galley door. Selina made to sit up, leaving Michael's grasp and made to dress. The blanket he had fetched that night had served to cover them this morning. She smiled genuinely, her ruby lips swollen from the kisses they had shared, and her black hair was tossed about a bit. She ran a hand through it and she sighed heavily, running her fingers through Michael's hair and then shaking her head.
She really shouldn't have done that. Not when she still had no clue about Damien or his whereabouts. Her skin still tingled with the after affects of it all. She was shivering a bit in the cold galley, then slipped from under the covers to change quickly. It sounded as if the crew was already busy and they wouldn't like it to know they had been occupying their galley with their personal matters. Who knows IF Barbossa could save her from that really.
Just then there was a banging on the door and she jumped a bit. She shoved her trousers on frantically. "OY! YOU TWO! Ge' Ou' O' there!!" There were angry shouts and agreeing. Selina looked down to Michael and dressed quickly, she had just barely buttoned her shirt to the point of decency when the galley door was broken down and she jumped. She had managed to only get one boot on and the crew barged in. They stared at her, some with hunger, some with lust, and some with pure loathe.
"YOU...taken another one as yer victim we see..." came the cackle of a rather worn looking membero of the crew, who's eyepatch was splotched with blood. Then quickly three crew members came towards her and all placed their hands on her. Some allowed their hands to graze over her a bit before they settled to simply restrain her. "Get OFF of me!" She shouted at them angrily, trying to shake free but getting a sound hit in the stomach, making her relent.
"We're taken ye ta the Captain...yer honestly gettin' ta be too much bloody trouble..." the weathered looking pirate spat at her, lifting her face up to meet his forcefully. Selina pulled away and spat at him and growled. "Don't you lay your hand on me! If I am not mistaken, I at LEAST have contributed MORE than my fair share on this ship...I'M the one...who..." just then she was struck over the head and then dragged out of the galley, surrounded by the crew who angrily took her to Barbossa's cabin.
There were angry shouts for Barbossa and Selina sensed a mutiny might be in store should she be saved and she honestly feared what would happen next.

*Eric glanced over his shoulder as he heard the familiar voice of Tobbs calling to him and Evy. He gave her a smile and a nod as if to let her know the two of them were alright. He was glad to see that for the most part she was fine as well. A moment or two later Jacks voice ordered the crew to retreat and as much as Eric hated to back out of a fight he knew he'd end up in a soup bowl if he didn't.
He raised a brow at Evelyn as she told him he didn't really need to be at her side. He said nothing in return, merley rolled his eyes. He'd never get her to admit she needed his help in a fight so he wasn't even going to bother trying.
However the crowd around the couple in the center was rather thick now and it wouldn't be the easiest task in the world to get out of it. He was relieved when Lily showed up, offering her assistance. A moment later the woman tugged at their arms and urged them to leave.* No argument there! *He laughed and bolted out of the crowd and into the jungle with the others. He ran as swiftly as he could, not stopping, not looking back until the pirates slowed and finally came to a hault. He dropped to his knees on the ground and allowed himself to catch his breath before sitting and leaning against a tree.
He caught Evelyns side glance at him but remained in his place as he watched her slip off into the trees. He raised a brow and glanced around a little, noticing no one else was following her. So he grinned and rose to his feet, discretley trailing her until he saw her sitting at the waters edge. For a moment he grinned mischeviously but the boyish sparkle faded from his eyes and he figured now would not be the best time for getting her mad. So instead he just plopped down beside her, splashing a bit of water on his face and neck, not even saying anything.*

*Will grinned and gave a small grunt, giving Jack a good smack on the shoulder as he shook his head.* And I'm glad to see you're still in once piece. *He stated in a humerous tone though he meant it quite literally. If the crew hadn't been as quick to react than the Captain would probably be cannibal stew right now.
His attention turned to Tobbs when she asked the Captain if they could leave now and Will raised a brow, following her gaze down to Jacks side. It was actually the first time he realized his partner in crime had been injured and he grunted.* I see someone got a bite of you. *He said with a wink.* Poor buggar must be drunk off his arse now with all the rum in your system. *He added and gave a nod as another command was shouted.
This time he didn't linger. He bolted into the thick of trees until he caught up to his wife, grabbing her hand as they ran swiftly. She stumbled a bit, wiping the sweat from her brow as she glanced nervously behind her.* Do you think they'll follow us, Will? *She asked nearly out of breath. When the time came for them to rest she plopped down beside Will on a large boulder.* No I think they'll stay in their village. *He answered finally, placing his arm around her waist. He looked her over to make sure she had no injuries and she was fine except for a scrape or two, which was the same with him.* All our parts are accounted for, Jack. *Elizabeth smiled. Will glanced at Jack wondering if he'd make a smart remark about that. He noticed Maria had found her way to them and he grinned a little, not finding it surprising she hadn't remained on the ship.
When the group finally did decide to settle down for the remainder of the night Will shifted off the rock so that he was seated on the ground with his back against it. He smiled up at his wife who was still sitting upon the rock and he patted the ground between his legs.* You should rest, Elizabeth. *He said softly.*

Evelyn looked her hand over and then clung to her arm a bit. The blood stained her shirt and she sighed and grunted angrily. "Bloody cannibals..." she muttered with frustration in her tone as she attempted to tear a piece of cloth from her sash that was already becoming a bit tattered from her tending to a few other wounds. Altough, using only one hand was a bit difficult and as Eric joined her she lifted a brow and looked to him. "Would ye bloody help me out?" Evelyn asked him nodding towards her sash. "Rip a piece would ye?" she asked as she still clutched her arm tightly.
Evelyn's eyes passed over Eric a bit angrily as joined her but she sighed and shook her head. Eve didn't WANT to be angry with her, but she had too much pride and so she'd remain stubborn. "Ye really shouldn' have tried ta stay...I was doin' fine." She grunted biting her lip a bit and sighing heavily. Her honeyed eyes passed over him carefully. There was a small glint in his eye and she lifted a brow at this. She knew this mischivious look and she furrowed her brow.
She shrugged this off however and looked around the jungles, closing her eyes and taking in the whole atmosphere. "Its too bloody humid here Eric..." she told him half heartedly, trying to FORCE herself to be on good terms with him. She didn't like being angry with HIM of all people...
Evelyn Pearl could be as stubborn as an ass and quite a mean one really, but Eric had managed to soften her ways a bit. She even tended to watch her tone around him now which was odd. Her honeyed eyes grew a bit softer simply by looking at him, she knew he meant only the best but she couldn't help the way she was. She only hoped he didn't take her attitude the wrong way at times, she did't LIKE being this way, she just was...

*Tobbs jumped a bit when her wrist was grabbed, unexpecting it which therefore startled her. A smile edged its way onto her face as she hid a small blushing side of her. She turned the tad embarrassment into a tool and looked back to him as she carefully peeled the last of the old wraps off.*
"So suggestive; although 'o needs a comfy mattress when you've got a romanctic jungle setting right 'ere beneath the night sky and just in view of the moonlight?"
*She was teasing, of course, back in the fun of their little game, making sure, as she spoke, she leaned closer and closer into him. Then, she snapped back to what she was first focusing on, the bandages, and began making more proper ones.*
"Although I would rather give yer side some time to 'eal really, and while the moonlight might be dramatic and romanctic, tree roots aren't. So I guess such notions will 'ave to wait then, eh?"
*She playfully patted him on the arm and wrapped her arms around him for a second to get the belt back 'round his waist. When he began talking about sleep, she locked the buckle tightly yet enough to allow him to actually move in and not have pain.*
"Sleepin? Sleepin can leave one unaware of what's going on. Can' be watchful when ya sleep most of the time, and while I've learned to just rest and be watchful at once, I 'aven't really been able to sleep much since...hmmm, well, since I met you and the crew, and everything I ran from started coming back."
*She tried to dismiss the subject and tossed the bandages away, making sure his wound looked well before curling up next to Jack once more.*
"Now if I wanted not to sleep, methinks I'd never let myself do so, which is probably why I'm keepin' you up right now since I'm rather afraid some half witted natives will steal you again. Unless...you've got other plans? Takin' that moonlight jungle thing into thought? Or should I just let ya sleep?"
*She had turned over to face him, fondling with his hair at first, then moving her hand to his face. She had a smile, a bit tiredly hanging there, yet still playful and honest, spread upon her lips, and after a second she drew her hand away and sighed in a contented sort of way.*

*Eric dipped his hand in the cool water and quickly ran it through his hair a couple of times when Evelyn asked him for help. He grinned, looking her over.* Oh, now you want my help? *He asked, but noticing the wound on her arm he frowned a bit and sat closer to her, ripping a piece of the sash and carefully tying it about her arm. She was tough when it came to pain but none the less he was still gentle.
When she told him he really hadn't needed to stay back there he looked at her, fixing his gaze upon her honey eyes and he smiled.* I know you would have been fine, Evelyn. But I still wanted to be there. *He stated and shrugged a little.* Can't blame me for worrying. *He added and lowered his eyes a little. In reality he stayed because he was damned determined to keep her safe. He'd already lost one love he wasn't going to loose Evelyns as well. He KNEW he'd never get over this one.
Then he laughed and nodded, taking a deep breath of the heavy air that seemed so close about them.* It's deffinantly humid. Beautiful, interesting, but damn humid. *He said with a grunt and a grin. He looked her face over and it was obvious she was still upset with him. He frowned at this. He didn't like it when they were on tense terms, especially when only a bit ago they'd been on rather "close" terms.
Finally he sighed and placed his arm about her shoulder, the mischevious look returning to his face and his eyes danced.* Evelyn, you really need to learn to take life not quite so seriously all the time. *He stated and scooped her up, suddenly tossing her into the water while he stood on the bank with a proud look on his face and his hands thrust in his pockets.*

Evelyn looked to Eric as he spoke and she shrugged. Eve supposed he was right. She probably would be JUST as if not, MORE concerned with him if he were in her position, but she wasn't about to admit this to him. As he wrapped her arm she sighed and gave a small smirk. "Thanks Eric..." She said with a bit of a mumble. Her eyes scanned the canopy's and the greenery about them. It WAS beautiful that was certain. But all the peace she truly found was that she found in Eric really.
He had changed her so much, she had been so gaurded before him, so intense, so unaware of others really. She gave a small smirk at this and sighed heavily, trying desperately to shake off this unsettled anger she had with him. She reached a hand out then, to gently caress his cheek and smiled. As he spoke again she lifted a brow.
"What are ye bloody smilin' 'bout?" Evelyn asked him with fear in her eyes and lifting a brow. She readied herself to run, but before she could move she was scooped up. "GAH! NO! Eric mate don'..." and just then she was engulfed in the cold rushing stream. Evelyn was instantly angry but shook her head under the waters and then sat at the bottom of the stream, clinging to a heavy boulder and peering up at the crystal surface, Eric's blurry face barely visible and she gave a mischivious grin.
This would SURELY get him in the cold waters, she thought...or at least she HOPED it would.

::Jack smirked lightly, amused and then blinked at Tobbs a bit:: "Nightmares then?" He asked carefully and settled himself back. "Wll that's nothin' I can't understand."
::He yawned and looked up at the sky. Dawn would be here soon. a hour or so.....maybe less...he didn't care. Suddenly he was just really tired....::
::Jack tucked himself into a position he could sleep in and closed his eyes, feeling pretty damn beat up if truth be told.:: "Just sleep...." He muttered and turned to face her. He rested his chin on the top of her head and closed his eyes. "I'm not goin' anywhere. Side's....the natives probably know from the bit they got from me I don't taste good....so they won't come back for seconds....savvy?"
::Finally sometime around sunrise Jack fell asleep, feeling a bit feverish and somewhat wobbly. Adrenaline was wearing down to nothing...and it was beginningot take its toll.....::

*Erics smile grew and he laughed heartily as she went under. He rocked on his heels a bit, waiting for her to come back up, curious to see what she would do or say to him. The seconds seemed to pass swiftly and there was still no sign of her. His eyes widened and he glanced from side to side nervously.* Um...Evelyn? *He called out, trying to peer into the dark running waters. But it was no use. He cringed a little.* Ah bloody hell! *He cried and dove in after her.
He knew he'd catch hell for this if she was in any kind of danger, considering it was his fault she was in the river in the first place. He swam, searching desperatly for her and then he spotted her. She was clinging to a boulder and he could just make out the grin on her face. It hit him now what she'd done and he quickly resurfaced, taking in a gulp of air as he swam against the gentle current.
As he waited for her to surface as well he grinned and his eyes narrowed. He wasn't letting her get off the hook so easily. Sure she had fooled him but he'd make sure to get her back.*
