Evelyn crossed her arms a bit staring over at Eric. There was a sort of luminous glow about him and it made him look a bit radiant. As he spoke Evelyn huffed a bit and turned her gaze away from you. "Ye jus' LOVE watchin' me suffer, don' ye?" Evelyn asked him as he came towards her, lifting a brow.
Evelyn closed her eyes and took a deep breath of the crisp night air, trying to push away the feeling of sickness from her. Were she on better terms with Eric, puking in front of him would have embarassed her, but now she could care less, she knew she was a total mess and she didn't care. When he suddenly questioned her Evelyn opened her eyes and looked up at him a bit. She was confused, why did HE care what she thought of him anyway? Evelyn blinked a bit and shrugged. She was too sick to carry on yelling at the moment...
"Who ever said I cared a rats ass? Frankly I don't care at ALL." Evelyn stated bluntly as she took another deep breath trying to keep her sick feeling at bay. He was catching her off gaurd. "Well, because...I bloody well do. Don' ask stupid questions...besides..." Evelyn began as she arched a brow and glanced up at him, his hair softly blowing in the cold air. "Why d'ye care IF I care 'bout ye at all anyway?" Evelyn said trying to counter him. At the moment she felt herself breaking, she truly didn't want to remain mad at him...and at the moment...she felt she really wasn't all THAT mad...but his words had hurt...AND his actions...it was hard for Evelyn to let go of ANTYHING...even Eric.

*Eric grinned a little bit and shrugged.* And you just love making me suffer, don't you! *He asked back, looking her over. As she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, he took a side step away, fearing that she was about to throw up again. Eric could handle blood, guts, and beheadings but not that. When she said she didn't care at all, he frowned a bit, casting his dark eyes towards the deck for a moment. He wondered if she meant that, wondered if he could drop off the face of the earth without even making her blink.* Well I'm glad you seem to care about as much as I do. *He stated, forcing the words to come out as he crossed his arms and glarred at her. Then he rolled his eyes as she seemingly refused to answer the question, even turning it back on him. As strong as she was, she looked frail to him, her dark curls lit softly by the moonlight. His lips started to curve into a smile but he quickly frowned again. 'She's not that alluring at the moment mate, remember she just puked' he thought to himself.* Evelyn, I don't care how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to, at this point it won't bother me either way. But don't go bringing other people into this who don't need to be. Whatever in the 'ell is going on between us, stays between us...and only us. *He said, slightly angry. Then he noticed that her necklace he had given her was missing and suddenly he felt slightly empty, almost like he was alone.* I uh...see you tossed the necklace huh? Elizabeth might have liked it, you could have given it to Will. *He said, trying to hide his hurt though it shown strongly in his eyes as he looked at her with a crooked frown, shoving his hands in his pockets.*

When Eric mentioned that he was glad to see she cared about as much as he did Evelyn grow hot. "Fine!" Evelyn told him heatedly, not looking at him, merely gazing about the deck a bit. Her eyes were hard and cold and she focused on a crate to try and keep her honey eyes there. When he began to talk to her about leaving other people out of it Evelyn breathed heavily and angrily. He was lecturing her! She didn't need this, she wasn't a bloody child.
When he moved on to speaking about her necklace she looked up at him, trying to figure out exactly what he was feeling. Eric had always been rather good at hiding his feelings from her, but there...she caught it. His eyes couldn't lie, he was hurt and Eve half smirked, half because he deserved to be hurt, and half because she knew he cared.
Evelyn stood, taking a deep breath of fresh air, before she went on. "First of all, Eric, I don' need ta be lectured...I'm goin' ta bring in whoever I bloody well feel like it, besides...ye brought it upon yerself really...felanderin' aroun' with other women and such. I DO care, alrigh'? I don' like seein' ye with other girls, I can' help it..." Evelyn shouted at him. The breeze blew calmly and Evelyn silently thanked God for it. It was keeping her from keeling over and becoming sick all over again. "An' the necklace..." Evelyn sighed heavily, her eyes fixated on his but she didn't know what to say.
"I Didn' throw it overboard, merely put it outta my sight fer the moment...starin' at it bloody upsets me...seein' as how it reminds me of YOU!" Evelyn told him as she swayed a bit and then took a seat upon the crate again, trying to calm her uneasy stomach. "Yer actin' like I did somethin' WRONG..." Evelyn muttered to him, shooting him an angry glare while taking deep breaths. "But I'm not the one who...who..." Evelyn thought back to what Eric had said to her...the comments tying into her past. "I can' help what happened ta me...alrigh'? Yer a bloody bastard fer usin' it against me." Evelyn told him with finality in her tone.
"I bloody yell because I care, because if I don' ye won' do a bloody thing! D'ye honestly think I wouldn' care at all?" She asked him finally, looking up at him, her eyes growing soft. She had shattered her pride now...but it didn't matter anymore...nothing did...

*Eric clenched his jaw and turned away from her a moment as she began to speak again. She was acting as if it had been Sarah that had ended up in the bed with him and not Evelyn. Sarah was a beautiful woman with a kind spirit, there was no denying that. But when he was with Evelyn he never would have dreamed of doing more than talking to her.* Damnit, Evelyn. I wasn't doing anymore with Sarah than I would do with anyone else on this ship. And besides I- *He began in an annoyed and frustrated tone when suddenly she said she did care about him. Try as he may he couldn't help it and a large smile formed on his face. It was almost as if he was beaming.* Seems like we do still care about the same. *He stated, growing silent again as she mentioned the necklace. His eyes followed her intently as she sat down again on the crate. When she called him a bastard again he bit his lip and nodded.* Evelyn, I wasn't thinking when I said that. I can't take it back now and you're right, I am a bastard because of it but... *He said, sitting down beside her, leaning over and resting his elbows upon his knees as he glanced up at the moon.* I know you couldn't help what happened to you. If I would have been there then...it wouldn't have happened to you. But I promise I'll never bring it up again. However you have to stop bringing up Ashley. She was a huge part of my past yes, but not my future and I know that. You just have to trust me....at least on that. *He stated, his eyes still fixed on the moon.* Honestly, I didn't know if you still cared. I hoped you did, even if it was only a little bit. *He said, then he looked at her and smiled warmly. He didn't want them fighting. He desperatly missed the way they were, she had given his life a new meaning. A new purpose.* God knows I care about you, Evy. More than I thought was possible andI know now I don't deserve you. But even though I know we can't be like we were...I'd still like to be on good terms with you. *He stated shyly.* And frankly, I don't think my head can take much more than it already has. *He grinned, rubbing the back of his head as he nudged her a bit.*

Evelyn didn't want to look up at him, but a stolen glance at him gave her view of a wide grin on his face. He was happy...at least one of them was, she huffed. When he began to what seemed like apologize for what he had said to her Evelyn moved over as he sat down next to her. She still had her head turned away from him. When he mentioned if he was there it would have never happened she chuckled lightly, it was a nice thought, but the sad fact was it did and it hurt everytime it was mulled over in her head.
She blocked these thoughts out as she became misty eyed and bit down upon her bottom lip. When he said he wouldn't bring it up again she rolled her eys and looked to him. "Isn' tha' what ye told me before, mate?" Evelyn asked him lifting her brows and shaking her head a bit. When he mentioned her never bringing up Ashley again Evelyn sighed heavily. "Yea, well tha' was fer a bloody reason...but if ye say so mate..." Evelyn told him. "Well I do care mate...more than ye know probably..." Evelyn said softly into the air, letting it carry her voice away. She didn't like hearing anyone telling her what to do in any way, but if Eric truly didn't want her bringing Ashley up anymore, she wouldn't.
Looking up at the moon she blinked and then turned to Eric, even if for a brief moment. This was hard for her...getting through, talking about the way they were so nonchalantly. She half hoped he'd tell her that he'd stay, that he wouldn't leave, that they could be like there were...but it never came. Instead the words he spoke reverberated, dumping into her like stones in a pond, creating a chaotic rippling sensation. He'd like to be on good terms?
Evelyn looked to him, her eyes misty, and watery but she cleaned them off quickly. "Don' ye EVER say ye don' deserve me mate...I know we can' be like we were either....I mean," Evelyn took a deep shuddering breath and shifted so that she faced him completely. "I mean...God knows Eric...what happened with us these pas' few days...its more than I ever thought possible really. And...I suppose we can be on good terms. But ye have ta understand, lettin' ye go like this hurts." Evelyn stated as if she were justifying the tears that fell now.
She wiped them away and attempted to crack her usual smirk as he mentioned his head taking too much. "Too much fer ye? Not used to thinkin' this deeply are ye?" Evelyn asked him playfully giving him a wink, and punching him in the arm and taking a deep breath, trying to calm herself. It was difficult to transition so suddenly. And if this was hard...she knew letting him go in the end would hurt beyond reckoning...

*Eric looked down as she said he'd made that promise to her already before, and he had broken it. He opened his mouth to respond but nothing came to him. Instead he simply nodded and sat up straight, messing with a crease in his pants as if doing that would make the sitatuion any less akward. But she said she wouldn't bring up Ashley again and at that comment he looked at her.* Thanks. *He stated. He figured it was easier to leave behind what wasn't talked about. He laughed a little when she said she cared more than he'd probably know. Everytime he looked at her, or was near her he seemed to care about her a little more. And that was making this situation very difficult. This trip was supposed to be all about pirates and swordfights, rum and ships. Never a woman or a romance. But that's what had happened. He'd met his fair share of women. He was a handsom man, tall and strong and they seemed attracted to him. Yet, since Ashleys death he never paid attention to them. Not until Evelyn. She was the first woman in years who, when he was with her, kept him from dwelling on a lost past. He wanted to stay, be with, watch over her but he just didn't see how it was possible. If she asked him to stay he knew that he would, but he also doubted they'd be happy if he did. Their lives were just too different. As he looked back at her he saw that she was crying. He nodded as she spoke, choking up himself but refusing to let the tears fall.* I think I know how you feel. I've felt this kind of pain before, its deep. *He said, wiping away one of the tear drops on her cheek. He smiled softly, though he was screaming inside. He'd already lost one woman he loved...now he was loosing another. Then he laughed at her comment and shrugged.* Not used to thinking this much is more like it. *He grunted, pushing her a little as she punched his arm. He shook his head and wondered what it would be like once he got back home. At the rate he was going he wondered if he'd have to slip off without a goodbye, just to make sure he didn't end up staying behind.* Well, it's late and if we don't sleep off the rest of this rum it'll be even more hell to pay in the morning. *He said, getting up. He placed his hand on the side of her head, weaving his fingers through her curls and he smiled. 'Bloody idiot, this isn't gonna make it easier to let her go. Put your damn hand away.' he thought to himself, quickly pulling his hand back. He coughed and looked around akwardly.* I uh...I'll see you in the morning. Maybe you can let me know how Roux is doing. *He stated, and hurried off.*

*Tobbs pressed another blade down again as she'd finished the last. She began to mutter about something and patience, and she finally had to give in to thinking.*
*'Now now, be patient, be patient...' She thought as she narrowed her eyes. Finally, she slammed the blade on the table, stood up quickly, and made her way out of the cabin. She had to check on Roux.*
*She hoped she could catch the man alone as night was set upon the ship and she thought perhaps they'd left him to sleep. Peeking in the doorway, she noted all the shapes still present and sighed. As Hermes said he was leaving, she caught his glance and smiled to him just before he vanished.*
*With everyone still in the room, she knew it was serious, but out of their hands. She stepped aside just as Evy ran up to deck and followed behind her with furrowed brows, stopping at the top of the steps. She watched Evy and Eric begin their talk, staying by the stairs but turning her head to the sea as she sat upon a crate.*
* As much as she wanted to leave their conversation to the two of them, she began to overhear a few things. She sighed at herself and stood, deciding some "fresh air" could be great for later in the night when no one was awake so she wouldn't have to be seen as eavesdropping.*
*Heading back down the stairs, she paused by Roux's cabin once more and peeked in again, watching and listening for a few seconds before disappearing back to her cabin. She sighed and curled up in her chair once more when she got there, glancing over at...what was that?*
*She'd completely forgotten about Jack's jacket still lying there on the dresser top. She cursed biterly and turned her back away from that area, sharpening the half sharpened blade again. 'Be pastient now, be patient now...'*
"I AM BEING BLOODY PATIENT!!"
*She frustratedly threw an apple against the wall and stood, pacing and wishing for once she could sleep. Getting a bit chilly, she went over to her bed and wrapped herself in the blanket, taking her seat in the chair once more and gazing off at the wall opposite her. As much as she tried, she couldn't fight her mind, and in a second she was lost in thought, her eyes still and motionless as they stared at the center of the wall..*

Evelyn sat there in the chilly night air as Eric spoke to her. He was acting so nonchalantly about the entire matter. Frankly, she had hoped he would show a bit more emotion. She shook her head at herself, she was an idiot for doing this, she should have just yelled at him more, bit his head off, now she wouldn't be able to simply turn cold at him. If she yelled at him it would have been easier, that was what she should have done. Tear his head off and she wouldn't have ended up like this...completely open and finding no solace now.
When he said 'I think I know how you feel...' Eve was crushed. He thinks? What was this supposed to mean? 'I've felt this kind of pain before...' So he wasn't feeling the way she was? Evelyn sighed deeply at his words, he wasn't saying a THING she had hoped he would. He wiped the tear away from her and she remained silent. Why did he have to do that? Did he know how much what he was doing hurt? There he was bloody talking about them so damned lightly and then he goes and touches her like this...she didn't know what to think...
When he spoke again and placed his hand on the side of her head Evelyn closed her eyes silently, praying he would pull away, it was torture really. She took a glance up at him with sad eyes and when he pulled away she closed them again. Eve was attempting to make sense of all of this...why didn't he yell at her? Scream? Cry? Anything...anything but this...
As he was about to leave Evelyn stood suddenly. She was angry again, she really didn't want to be, but this was what she felt...she'd let him know now. She hurried towards him and turned him around. "That's it?!" Evelyn said heatedly, not wanting to yell, "Just like that...not 'I wish I didn' have ta go,' Or anythin'? An', an' then...ye touch me like that?" Evelyn brushed a hand through her curls and placed a hand upon her hip. Her tears were dried, she was too heated to let any fall, although they were gathering in small pools in her eyes.
"D'ye KNOW what yer doin' ta me?! I mean...was it all that meaningless...that ye can jus' say a few words so calmly an' then..." Evelyn looked away from him and waved her arm out wildy. "...be done with it? Ye really don' know...ye can'..." With that she took a deep calming breath and headed towards her cabin, walking inside and closing the door.
There...it was ALL out. What he did now was his problem. Besides, he never DID do anything really, SHE always had to go up to him. She didn't need this...in the morning things would be different. They were done with and this night can take everything that happened in it, with it.

*As Eric was rushing off he could hear Evelyns footsteps rushing towards him and he closed his eyes and bit his lip. He had hoped she would let things be, let him leave. But of course she wouldn't, she was Evelyn. Nothing got put to rest easily with her. As she spoke he sighed heavily and lowered his head, nervously messing with his hands. When she headed back towards her cabin he raised his eyes and watched her go. He lingered in his place for a long moment, casting his eyes up towards the moon as he felt them fill with tears. Pressing his fingers into the corners of his eyes to keep the drops from falling he took a few deep breaths and rushed to her cabin. He didn't even bother to knock, he simply burst in through the door, and slammed it behind him. Eric stared at her for what seemed like an age until finally he leaned against the door.* Evelyn I don't want to go. *He stated, almost too soft to hear. He walked over to her and sat down on the edge of the bed, glancing around her cabin.* I thought if I let too many emotions get in the way out there on deck that it would just make things more complicated. But it's obvious you want the truth. *He said, still not looking at her. It seemed like no matter what he did now he was going to hurt her. If he acted calm, she'd think he didn't care. And if she knew how much he cared, he'd hurt her when he left. Finally he sighed deeply and shook his head.* Evy, it wasn't meaningless at all. In fact, it was the complete opposite of that. I knew how hard it was going to be for me to walk away from all this so I wanted to act like it wasn't a big deal. But it was, God Evelyn it was. *He said, his voice faultering a bit. He stood up again and walked over to a wall, facing it and resting his head on it as he took a couple breaths.* I want to stay with you. Im falling in love with you Evy and I know I shouldnt. We both know it could never work. Maybe someday we'll run across eachother again and things will be different but right now....right now it just won't work. *He explained, turning around to face her.* I'm going to need a lot of therapy after this. *He said with a soft laugh, giving her a small smile. It was his way of easing a sitatuion that he was uncomfortable in. He was worried about how she would take what he had just said, he figured he'd wind up with a good slap on the face and an abrupt boot out of the door but she wanted the truth and that's what he gave her.*

Evelyn suddenly looked up and was a bit startled as her door was slammed open. "Eric?" Evelyn asked as she looked over at him from her bed. Then she shut her mouth quickly as he began to speak. Of everything, THIS caught Evelyn most off gaurd, the way he had burst into her room like this...it was a bit demanding...normally she'd frown upon this kind of action, but in his case, she could only smirk.
The fact that he had acted so abruptly to speak to her like this showed her more than he could know. As he spoke she only bit her lip and looked down. When he called her Evy again Evelyn smirked. "I like that mate...Evy..." She said as she took a deep sigh. When he mentioned he was falling in love with her she inhaled sharply. Is that what he said? Evelyn blinked and looked up at him. He looked distraught and she frowned a bit. She never wanted to put him through all this.
"You and me both, mate. Although I doubt any therapist will wan' ta be listenin' ta my problems." Evelyn said with a chuckle. "Listen mate..." Evelyn combed a hand through her hair and began to think. She knew they had to let go, it might as well be here and now. "I, I, care 'bout ye..." she couldn't bring herself to say love, she just couldn't. It would hurt too much to say. "...very much. If I had it my way, ye'd stay here...God knows I can' go with ye ta Port Royale," Evelyn cringed. " I don' want ta go torturin' people with havin' ta see ME in a corset and gown." Evelyn laughed. She wiped at her eyes.
"I understand...I don' want ye hurt. Forget it mate, consider it water under the ship, savvy? I mean I know we can' be together, you know it, I mean...bloody hell the whole CREW will probably like it we weren' with all the arguin' we do." She told him with a wink. "Jus'...I understand. It's done." Evelyn told him with a nod. Then she stood and walked towards him. "Now would ye get out o' my bloody room? I need ta sleep at some point tonight." She laughed as she playfully shoved him out. Deep down there was more churning, but this was for the best...even if they BOTH hated that it had to be this way...best keep things light from now on...

*Eric grinned a little as she said she liked how he had called her Evy. He hadn't even noticed he'd said it until she brought it up. It had just seemed like a natural thing to call her. Then he laughed at her mention of wearing proper ladies garb. Honestly he couldn't picture in it, didn't even know if he wanted to see her dressed that way. Not because she wouldn't be attractive, simply because he liked her the way she was. As she playfully shoved him out of the room, he pretended to hold back a bit. Then he turned around and grinned, winking at her.* Yep, water under the ship. *He said, then stretched and yawned.* I better get some sleep too or I'll end up getting myself killed when we meet up with the Pearl again. Or whatever we're doing. *He said. Considering all the days events with the entire crew, he wasn't entirely sure what the next move was. But he was too tired to think about it much.* Well goodnight. Oh and you might need this. *He stated, stooping over and handed her a small metal bucket. He winked and then hurried back off to Will's cabin. He sprawled out on top of the bed and to his great relief fell asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow.*

::Jack frowned and eyed Will a moment with a sort of half smirk on his face: "Rum works pretty well with any pirate I've met.he's human now.don't see why it's not worth a try....."
:and then Hermes left. Jack understood the feeling. If something had happened to Will for example, he'd go off to find the source of the problem........not fumble around waiting for answers. He hoped Roux would wake on his own......if he could that is. The god looked as if he didn't have enough strenght to lift his eyelids.......:
:oh the mighty have fallen. The words came unbidden into Jack's head and he frowned. Then he undid his hip flask and poured a measure of rum down the god's throat. then waited. maybe it would help.:

Roux sputtered and choked once or twice then blinked furiously opening his eyes to see first a smug looking Jack and a worried looking Linea. He sputtered a few times more then sat up.
"I'm not sure, what's happened?" Roux looked at his own hands then touched his face once, as if to assure himself he was in fact whole and well. Then shook his head. He felt hollowed out. empty. dead even
No joy. No warmth. No light No anything. He was for all intents and purposes, dead and lifeless. The god had spent his entire life, Ages of being filled with a eternal light and warmth. Now it was gone.
He stared at the others with hollowed eyes then asked soberly: "where is my brother?"

:As soon as Linea saw Roux open his eyes, she was never happier in her life. She knew he was going to be alright as much as he was able to. He was awake, that was all that mattered, the other things can be dealt with later. She squeezed his hand and smiled a little as she looked at him with worried eyes.:
You gave us quite a scare Roux. I have no idea what has happened, but I was hoping you would. Hermes went away I think so see your father when I came to stay in here with you until you're better. Which I hope happens soon.
:She watched him as she spoke softly to him, trying not to show how scared she felt. Something had happened to him, something bad. Looking into his eyes, she shuddered and tried hard to suppress her tears.:
It's gone...all of it. The light of his eyes seems to be lost forever, but why?
:A stinging thought hit her as she asked herself these questions. She realized, all of this happened after he spoke to her. It was her, she was the reason he was like this, mortal. Looking at him again, she tried so hard not to cry, but a tear escaped her eye as she looked at him sadly.:
It's all my fault.

Roux smiled just a little. He touched her hair and then noddd.
"of course he'd go running away as only he can to find out what has happened to me. When I know myself. Just not the cause."
A sad smile graced his features once and he looked up at Linea's face. "it wasn't you." He said simply as if stating an article of faith. A simple truth that couldn't be wavered. "I may have upset the gods some other way."
he turned to look at everyone else in the room. "And I am afraid that now. As a mortal. I am of no use to you in your fight with Barbossa. Unless I regain what was lost. and only Zeus, my father can replace it."
Roux looked like he wanted to cry from the lose he was feeling inside. A darkness so deep it makde even his eyes look like bottomless tunnels. He turned to Linea. "I will be beter soon. I just need to get my bearings."
