*Is a total looniack for thinking she can play yet another charri* I noticed that we dont have any "real" wenches on the site right now (Chris does not count *coughcough*) So I decided to make one... Wheee!!! Here goes nothin'!

Name: Nakia
Meaning of Name: “Pure, Faithful” (*pats Nakia’s parents* If only they knew…)
Age: Around 19 years
Origins: Egypt
Alliance: Whoever will have her…
Location: Tortuga, at the moment.
Description: Tall, long legs, and slender, she is the picture of an Egyptian goddess. Her slightly wavy black hair is streaked purple and blue with plant, and animal dyes, giving her a wild sort of look. Unlike most of the women we have been acquainted with so far (and I say most, because there are a few exceptions *g*) she enjoys showing herself off. Therefore her clothing is as follows. A white shirt that is always off her shoulders; a deep purple bodice/corset that is tied for looks rather then comfort; a pair of black pants that have been slashed up the sides nearly to her hips, and then laced almost back together. (Not exactly period, but if you guys aren’t going to care, then I guess I don’t have to. :-P) Sometimes the pants trade places with a skirt that clings and hangs in all the “right” places. Her shoes are made of soft leather, but their soles are stiff enough for tough wear. She wears an exorbitant amount of sliver jewelry; bracelets, earrings, and something around her neck that resembles an animal collar. The only thing “rough” or “rugged” about her is a thick rope belt that hangs loosely on her hips, with the ends normally dangling between her legs. She carries no weapons, and doesn’t worry about herself. Why? Read her story…
History: Nakia was born to a poor Egyptian fisherman and his wife. She was the third born child in the family, but she was the only one who made it past infancy. Her father, foolishly doted on her, and spoiled her with what little money he made. Her mother, still grieving for the loss of her two infant sons, hated her child. It also didn’t help that the girl proved to be far more beautiful then her mother ever had been. And so she grew, hated by one parent, and worshiped upon by the other. When she was 13 her father, as was the custom, tried to get a marriage for her. Her mother, not wanting to lose the little money they had on a dowry for “the worthless creature” as she called Nakia, did everything in her power to stop her husbands attempts. The girl herself couldn’t have cared less. What did it matter if she became married or not? Either way she was sure to live a good life. Less then two years later, her carefree life turned upside-down. She was young, and so was her heart. And she happened to lose it to a man, much older then herself, who seemed to enjoy the little girl’s attentions. He was a foreigner, who had docked for a few weeks near her father’s fishing grounds. Her father didn’t trust the man, and warned Nakia to stay away from him. She never listened, and would always go running off to hide and watch the man and his crew. She would visit him, and they would talk. When it came time for the captain to leave, she was totally devastated; until, by his suggestion, she agreed to run away and leave with him on his ship.
Once on board, he hid her in a cabin, and told her to wait for him. Nakia never saw him again. After several weeks at sea, and being mistreated and taken advantage of by various crew members, she was sold as a house slave in Spain to a rich government official. As you may have guessed by now, the man who seduced her away from her family and home was Neron Diego. He had actually bought the girl, from her mother, but decided to use the child’s fancy for him as a way to get her to willingly depart from her home and father. And so began another chapter in her life, an unloved slave in a foreign land. Strangely enough she took it quite well, and learned to adapt to her new position. Her master was kind, and handsome enough, and she lived quite well for a little while. Only problem is that her master took more then a little interest in the beautiful young girl, this may not have been a problem, save that he was a married man. His wife soon found out about his late night excursions to the servant’s quarters, and realizing she could do nothing to her husband, took it out on Nakia. The other servants and slaves found out as well, and while the men took it as a sign that they too could have fun with her, the women hated her. She was constantly berated and beaten. When something went wrong, she was blamed. After three years of abuse she couldn’t take it anymore and risking her life, ran away. No one made an effort to find her, and it was considered, on the whole, for the best.
Using herself as payment, she managed to get passage on a, not so decent, merchant ship. She ended in Tortuga, and that’s where she has stayed ever since… but not of her own liking. When she arrived, it became evident that she was a runaway slave. Mr. Fletcher, (Aaron’s father who is also one of the “big boys” in town) had her brought to him. In exchange for not turning her in for the reward money, she agreed to stay in Tortuga for “protection”. Except the catch is that she now has to obey every resident man of Tortuga. Jinx, her “protector” is paid to make sure she follows the “laws” that she helped to write for herself. She still wonders what happened to Neron, and never blames him for her life. Also, about her neck, and on her wrists, she still wears the silver bands that were placed there when she became a slave.
Interesting fact: Nakia hates other women… she will do anything, anywhere, anytime for any man. But she refuses to listen to anything another woman has to say; a mental scar and reminder of her mother, and her master’s wife and other female slaves. She has never killed a man, but she has strangled to death a number of women with the rope she wears about her waist.
Oh and just so you know... I did not create yet another account... this is my old Cate/Devin account... I don't think I'll ever really use them again, so i changed it to Nakia
