Very little is known about Damien Vichini’s life.
He had been born into a wealthy and influential family in 17th century Florence, Italy to parents Vardus and Emilé. He’d had a happy enough childhood – he was given everything he wanted and then some, and his mother and father loved him for the charming, if not a bit spoiled, young boy that he was.
When he became of age, he attended the most prestigious private school in the country, graduating first in his class with high honors. He then attempted, with much success, to run his father’s trade industry, thus learning the secrets of the business and financial systems, as well as the French, Spanish, and English languages. By eighteen, Damien was rich, handsome, and promising – he was easily the most eligible bachelor in all of Florence.
But then something happened, something that even his parents could not explain. The night before his father was to present him with the family Crest, a most honorable and humbling ceremony, Damien disappeared without a trace. There had been no warning, no note, nothing: he was simply gone. And although his parents searched for years to find their lost son, they would never hear from him again...
Now, ten years later, Damien has suddenly resurfaced in the Caribbean, making a name for himself as a mysterious yet wealthy trader and professional gambler. A tall, fair-skinned (almost ghostly pale, in fact) gentleman, with jet black hair and violet eyes that glint in the dark like twin amethysts, he thrives on the night life of Tortuga, Oxbay, and just about any other city he has the notion to make his home for the night.

It was in a small tavern in Port Royal where, on that fateful night, Damien Vichini crossed paths with the infamous, and presumed dead, Captain Morgan Barbossa. They got along right away, both men sharing common interests in drink, gold, and, most of all, revenge.
Vichini invited Barbossa to join him aboard his newly acquired man-of-war, the Blood’s Call. Together, they set off in search of Jack Sparrow, the pirate Captain’s hated nemesis. Damien’s motives, however, remain clouded behind an air of mystery, along with his supposed ties to Jack and Caribbean. No one dares speak it aloud, but they all know it must have something to do with the ten year gap in the strange man’s past, one of many subjects he refuses to discuss. At least until the right person is there to hear it.
And that person may just be Jack Sparrow.
