APPEARANCE:
Mouse has long, thin black hair that tapers off at about the small of his back. He is a very small scrawney looking boy. Only around 5'3" and 125lbs. He has very dark eyes and is fairly handsome for his age. He always walks with correct posture, and he would never touch a bottle of rum. He carries a large animal skin bag with him filled with small jars of potions, savs, and many herbs. He is a sort of medicine man. It was said he could cure anything illness a man could have. He was very esscential to his [former] crew for his medicinal perpouses. It was also rumored that he was into a kind of 'black magick'. Mostly because he meditates and has many unusual practices...
BIO:
Mouse was born on one of the Greek Isles. His mother and father were natives of the type that were considered savages by the moderners of the Greek civilization. Many of them came and destroyed his villiage... He can still remember the fathers coming in from the feilds, rushing into their burning houses to save their small children, yet never returning.. Somehow he hid from these 'civilized men' and ended up orphaned with no where to go... Only about 5 years old. He wandered for days, when, almost on the brink of starvation, he was picked up by an old wise man. This man taught him everything he knew..
Within 8 years the boy had much training. The old man worked hard to teach him everything, and the boy was eager for learning. At the end of that eight years the old man died and the boy was alone again. The boy took the old mans bag with him to remember him by and simply left the house without looking back. He left the old man was still sitting up in his small chair.. dead. Almost with no emotions, except one lonly tear that fell from his eye. He heard from random peoples conversation that a merchant ship was leaving soon and looking for cabin boys. He descided it would be nice to see the world, so he signed up. When he was reporting to the job, the accountant asked his name, the boy couldn't remember. The old man had only called him 'boy'. Because there was no reply, the man simply wrote on his paper 'Mouse' and that name came to stay.
On the ship, many of the crew got sick, and everytime they seemed to make a miraculous recovery. The only link between these was they always recovered after Mouse's watch on them. Soon after, the captian fell ill and the crew forced Mouse into his cabin and told him to do whatever was necessary to cure him. Mouse made them all leave and he opened up his bag and took out a few things. He did some chanting and made the captain drink a small bottle he has just put together, then he left the cabin. Exactly the next day, the captain was perfectly fine... infact he was quoted to say "This is the best I've felt in years."
Months after that the crew began talking about the boy. It was rumored that he was into 'black magick'. It was against the gods will for such a boy to live.. but the captain had taken a liking to this boy and would never let them kill him.
The time finally came when the stopped close to a tiny island to wait out a storm. Then spent the next day on the island partying and worshiping their gods. The boy, of course took no part in this and went to the other part of the island to meditate and eventually slept. When he awoke, they had all left. He was stranded. He made a staff for himself while waiting out night fall, then began to draw a map in the sand using the stars. He calculated an island named Tortuga was not far off if he departed on a certain side of the island. The next morning he made a tiny floating devise out of what all he found and departed for Tortuga, his upper half floating and his lower kicking threw the water. Eventually he got close enough to see the island....
