But as she’s dishonest ya can always trust her ta be dishonest, so will ya ever know if it is the truth?
Tomas Tompson came to Tortuga when he was just a young man; he took to the life of pirating right away. However a few years later he fell in love with a rather nice looking girl one of the few respectable people on that entire island, if there are any at all. The girl’s name was Amelia, Amelia Hunman. She would have nothing to do with Tomas, and so broke the young man’s heart. He decided that for a bit he could give up piracy so as to marry Amelia. Unfortunately his scheme worked. Amelia fell in love with what she thought was a respectable sailor, her father gave agreement to the match, and the two were married. Soon after Tomas revealed himself and actually apologized to his wife for deceiving her. Amelia was shocked but soon was over it all and made her life go on as usual. About three years later she gave birth to a little girl and they named her Katherine Amelia Tompson. Tomas always thought that the name was to long so he would call her his little Kat. Around that time Tomas went back completely to his pirate life, drinking, gambling, killing, and other things of an unsavory nature.

When his second daughter was born he began to look around for a ship that he could crew on. Finally he found the one he wanted. The Black Pearl captained by Jack Sparrow. With much pleading, dishonesty, and violence he managed to find a place onboard. With barely a word to his wife he sailed off only coming back every now and then. Their second daughter began to grow up without a name, so Amelia took it upon her self to name her. Her name became Sarah Kate Tompson. The two little sisters barely even knew they had a father, but their mother did not deceive them into thinking that their father was a good man. Kat and Sarah could have cared less. Their mother could not both watch them and work at the tavern where she had been given a job. So as they grew older they began to roam over Tortuga. They were barely seven and five years old, yet the two girls found they could live on their own. They learned how to get food and money, dishonestly of course, and they saw many things that would cause a girl of their age over in England to run crying to her mother. Not so with them. Kat especially enjoyed all of the fighting and killing. Sarah not as much but she didn’t have a problem with it.

Later that year when Amelia had managed to get both of her daughters in their small house at the same time, Tomas came back. They were not expecting him and he came in drunk and upset. They never did find out why. Amelia quickly shooed her daughters outside as she normally did when her husband came home. It was dark out and Kat and Sarah stood with their ears to the door trying to find out what was happening. They heard their mother greet their father and set some food before him. After some strange noises it was quiet and the girls lost interest. Just as they were about to go see if anything about the town was interesting they heard loud noises from inside the house. A scream, a crash, curses, and silence once more. Sarah looked up at her sister in confusion, but Kat was like wise looking at her younger sister. They had never heard their mother scream the way she had just then done. Kat pushed something into Sarah’s hand and with a few words of comfort dashed off into the night. Sarah could tell from the direction that Kat went that she was off to get the Tavern keeper that mother worked for. Sarah sat down in the dark and tried to see what Kat had given her.

It was a small gold pendant that Tomas had given to Amelia and Amelia had given to Kat. For the pendant was indeed shaped like a small alert kitten. Sarah slipped the chain over her neck and hid it inside the small boy’s shirt that she wore. Seconds later the door opened, and Tomas stood framed in the lamp light. For the first time in her life Sarah screamed. Her father had blood on him and Sarah could only guess what had happened. Tomas couldn’t bring himself to kill his daughter so as to get rid of any evidence of what happened so scooping the child up covered her mouth and ran, not thinking clearly enough that he had two daughters. Kat showed up at the house with the Tavern keeper only to find the door open, a chair broken, and her mother dead on the floor with blood on her. Sarah and Tomas were gone. After getting over it all Kat lived with the Tavern keeper, and lived as if nothing had happened. When she was ten years old she learned how to use a sword but was never really good at it. Her passion and skill came in her aim with a gun and throwing knives. You know the rest of her story and It is true, but what really happened to Sarah?

Tomas ran along the streets of Tortuga till he came to the docks. He got aboard the Pearl and hid Sarah, after rendering her unconscious, in his bunk. The ship left the dock the next morning, and Sarah awoke with the gentle rocking of the ship. She pushed the blankets and clothes aside that Tomas had used to cover her up. She stood up on the bed just as she did every morning back in Tortuga. However she didn’t take account that a buck is much lower than a ceiling and whacked her head on the bunk above her. She made only a small noise but it was overheard by another crew member who on after seeing her grabbed her hand and dragged her above deck. The crew member showed her to Captain Jack Sparrow and he began to debate with his second mate Barbossa what to do with the child. Barbossa wanted to just toss her over the side, while Jack said they should go back to Tortuga and put her back on shore. Tomas saw what was happening and interceded for his daughter. Sarah meanwhile had managed to pickpocket Barbossa and had a hand on his large pistol when the three came to an agreement that she should stay on board but should do her share of work.

They turned to find her and saw what she was doing. At that even Barbossa heartily agreed to let her stay. She was young yet she was already an expert at stealing things. Sarah had thought they would all be upset with her when they saw what she was doing but instead they laughed and Jack told Tomas to find her a bunk. Years passed onboard the Pearl and Sarah learned to fight with sword, dagger and how to shoot. She showed skill with a blade and had a way with making things disappear and reappear. Sarah learned how to climb the rigging and how to set and furl a sail. She learned all that she needed to know about ships and how to live in a violent world. When she was about ten years old she realized the danger that a young girl could have aboard a pirate ship and told Captain Jack her plan. She decided to go ashore somewhere, “die” and then come back as a boy. Jack discussed this over with Barbossa and they agreed it was a good idea. So she carried out her plan, after going ashore she disguised her self and stole some clothes that would help her hide that fact she was a girl. Then Jack went ashore. He came back with the news that Sarah was dead and that he had brought back a young boy that he had met to fill in for her work.

It fooled most of the crew but a few knew what had really had happened. Life went on till later that year Jack Decided to try to find the Is De Matura. This eventually resulted in the famous mutiny, something that Sarah who had now acquired the name Samuel and then consequently the name Saber, had nothing to do with. However she didn’t want to be thrown overboard, marooned, or otherwise killed so she quietly went along. Years afterward she told people that she left the ship soon after that event, before Barbossa even got to the cursed Is. But this was not true. She saw the cursed Is. And even went on it, however believing in the curse, would not touch the chest or its contents. She spent several more years with the crew, Barbossa being the only one who really knew that she was a girl. Guess the rest of that…

Saber eventually told the crew who she really was and then just disappeared. She was about sixteen when that happened. She spent the next six years in different ports eventually ending up in Port Royal. While in one port she had a child whom she started to raise but then had to leave because of the authorities. Saber thought that Cate died soon after that. She tried to live a life of decency while in Port Royal but it didn’t out work too well. Barbossa attacked the port for the second time while she was there. She found Jack and went back to her old life as a pirate on The Black Pearl. The rest you know for certain…or do you?
If you are wondering why I posted it in such small chunks. It because lats time I tried to post something big...it went funky on me.
