(Before I begin, I'd like to say one thing.......all of this bio, before the knowledge and time in the movie is entirely based on my opinion of why Jack is the way he is. All this information could very well change with the sequel or extended DVD of PotC, savvy?)
"CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, if you please....."
Jack Sparrow was born to a middle class family living in a English Settlement not far from Port Royale. As a young boy he was fasinated with with the tales of pirates often drifting in from the local docks. Much to his parents dismay.
Always a bit wild, as it were, he set out around the age of fifteen and entered the world of piracy. Stealing and sailin' became his loves, and the restless often dangerous life of a pirates suited him just well. After a few years jumping from ship to ship and learnin' how to stay alive he came across the Black Pearl, and in turn it became his life. His heartbeat if you please.
Jack had few friends whom he trusted, and over the years he watched as one by one, many of them were killed in battles with the British Navy, imprisoned and hanged or killed by other pirates. He learned to stay alive, and to live. The most shocking thing about this, I suppose, was that he never lost a certain amount of humor that God has bestowed upon him as a child. But he used that....that wildness about him and his sly sneaky mind. He outsmarted many a Navy officers and in short time became a legend in his own right. Indeed pirates often sat Jack's heart was as wild and unpredicatable as the Sea itself. And the Sea in the Caribbean is tossed by storms every few days. Other's swore you could see a mad tempest behind those dark eyes that never seemed calm.
That is all before he came across his precious map to Isle DeMurta and Barbossa. With this map, won in a druken game o' cards in Tortuga, came a certain compass. A compass that didn't point North, but to the veiled Isle itself. There, about a fortnight before they were to land on the Isle, his first mate, Barbossa told him everything was a equal share. So Jack gave over the position of the island. Next thing he knew he was marooned on a "spit o' land" in the middle of the Caribbean. Barbossa became cursed, as Jack sat on that island for three days drinking rum. On the third day he bartered his way of the island, and made for the populated islands of the Caribbean.
Many legends swirled around Jack Sparrow, the sneaky man who escaped certain death on that island, with a pistol and a single shot. indeed Barbossa belived the old Captain of the Black Pearl to be dead and gone. For ten full years, Jack Sparrow began a seach of his own. To find the Pearl and regain what had been taken from him. Which was, essentially his life. For what is a captain without his ship? He learned many things....many secrets which he held deep inside his heart, and let the stories and legnds surrounding him thrive. Until one day, as if guided by Fate itself, he came to Port Royale.
Saving a certain Miss. Swann, and learning of a piece of Aztec gold wrapped around her neck, started him on a adventure bigger then he could have known. finally, in a battle that put his new found partner in crime, Will turner and Elizabeth Swann at risk, he rid himself of Barbossa, and earned back his Black Pearl. But all was not over. Commodore Norrington, acting as a Commodore was expected too, brough Sparrow to the gallows, with every intent of hanging the man who'd only just won back his life. Yet Will turner, being of a more enlightened mind then before, rescused his good pirates friend, who fell, quite literally back into the waiting embrace of the Sea.
Jack came back to his Black Pearl. Then never looking back, flew for the Horizon.
The Beginning........
