OK.
For those of you who have seen the movie....To quote a certain boy on a bike "THAT WAS TOTALLY WICKED!!!!"
::smirk:: I have to say I was impressed....and this is coming from a guy who sincerly thought this movie would be the biggest goof up of the year.
I have to say I enjoyed the true human side of the characters....I love that Bob got fat and had thinning hair......I love that Helen was critical of how her behind looked....I love that Dash is a crazed ickle hyper kid......and that Violet is still trying to come ot terms with her powers....
Gotta love Frozone in general...the guy is awesome....and Syndrome is one of the oddest villians I've ever seen..and yet somehow...one of the few you can truely relate too.....on some twisted level of mental illness......
But mostly that fact that there is irony in it...and a true message......where Mr. Incredible can toss around cars like lego pieces.....Bob Parr is not strong enough to deal with the thought that his family could be harmed....there is real human beauty in that......and that moment is equal to any epic moment I've seen in quite a few movies....
In short...I was pleased beyond reason at the smart arsed humor that came with it.....it wasn't one liners really...but situational humor......loved the action....I mean who didn't like seeing the Family together kicking arse for the first time?
So....anyone think there's a possibility for a sequel....to my knowledge Pixar's not planning a sequel of any kind....though I must say they left it rather open.....Jack-Jack made me smirk by the end......and he's pretty much the only reason I think there could be a sequel......
So for those of you who've seen it....I'll leave you with a few words of wisedom.....
"NO CAPES!"
Jack
