Here we go...ze bio for me other charrie, Hawk!
Name: Hawk Aureye
Age: 20
Physical Description: Hawk is a good-looking fellow, with soft chocolate brown eyes that can go from warm to fierce in a second, and sometimes hold a glint of yellow like the bird that is his namesake. His dark hair is short and choppy; two longer pieces will flop into his eyes messily at inopportune moments. He's tall and built strongly; his features are set, and a handsome, rougish grin is usually on his face. He's usually dressed in dark colors, but can blend into any enivornment. He's got more weapons on him at any given time than anyone's bothered to count.
Personality: Hawk's an unusual person. In his early and middle teens, he was a ruthless, selfish, fierce pirate, without regard for anyone else's feelings. It's not a period he's proud of; he took several lives needlessly and didn't hesitate to kill, slaughter, ransack, or threaten. In his middle teens, he was still selfish and fierce, and a few people (a certain Sparrow in particular) evoked his younger, crueler persona. Usually, however, he didn't kill needlessly, nor did he cause quite as much damage.
In his later teens, however, Hawk has softened. He's now a kinder, gentler person...though still a pirate at heart. He will still fight, and his battle rage is reminiscent of his younger self. However, he's turned into a softer, funnier, more human person, who hates killing and will usually go the more humane way. He's really a good guy; just badly influenced.
History: Hawk never knew his parents; he was out on the street as a child. The one thing he still has from his childhood is a gold medallion with the engraving of an eye on it, and the word "Captain". He's never understood it, but he's gone from place to place trying to figure it out.
As a youngster, he stowed away on board many ships, traveling from place to place, seeing a lot. He finally ended up stowing away aboard the Black Pearl (which was under Barbossa's command then) when he was fourteen. They planned to kill him, but he managed to talk them into allowing them into their crew instead. He'd been calling himself Hawk, for the bird's eye engraving on his medallion, and the crew dubbed him Aureye - aur is gold in Latin, eye is eye in English. He became part of the cursed pirate crew, although he himself was never cursed.
These were the days when Hawk was ruthless, plundering and killing and ravaging without a thought. AFter several years with the crew, however, he began to soften slightly, wondering if what he was doing was right.
During the recent fiasco, he came face to face with Jack Sparrow's daughter. He immediately disliked her; she was tricky, calm, funny, fiery, and full of personality. She reminded him of who he might have been...she even looked a little like he did. Their uncanny resemblance and the girl's likeable personality made Hawk hate her with a passion. He came face to face with her in battle a few times, and was awed by her skill; it made him hate her even more, and he swore he'd fight with her again when she left.
Three years later, Hawk is still with Barbossa, although he's come to loathe the man's horrible cruelty and murderous ways. He knows better than to say so, though; he's a good enough actor to fake loyalty, and he's hoping for a chance to slip away from Barbossa when he least expects it.
Hawk still wishes to find Jack's daughter, even though his hatred for her has dimmed. He now begrudges the fact that they couldn't have met under different circumstances, and has even come to admire her. He still wishes to fight her, and wonders if she ever wants to fight him. His main goals now are to escape Barbossa and to find that girl...
