Name: Áine Sparrow
Nicknames: Raven
Age: 28
Description: She is tall for a woman 5'9, slender but strong. She has long black hair that is often windblown and wild looking, piercing eyes that are the color of the sea during a storm, and a long thin scar the runs the length of her right cheek bone. She wears no jewelry save for a small silver ring bearing a sapphire, a gift from her father, it bears, engraved in it her family crest. She dresses as a man would, knee-high black boots, riding breeches, and a long sleeved white shirt. A saber hangs at her side along with a single pistol and dagger.
Disposition: As wild as the sea and just as untamable. She is untrusting, unpredictable, and generally foul tempered. Though she can be kind when she wants to be, and overly protective of those who she does consider friends. Her only loves are, the sea, a good fight, and above all else... Rum!
History: She was born in a little seaside village far to the north in Scotland. She was raised by her mother, who was a innkeeper there. When her mother died of a sickness of the lungs, Áine, who was 16 at the time went in search of her father who she had never met. Her mother had told her that her father was an officer in the English Royal Navy so she traveled to London and it was there that she found out the truth. On a poster outside of a tavern on the docks of the Themes was the image and name of her father, stating that he was wanted for piracy. So, alone, in a strange city and foreign country, she made a choice. She had set out to find her father, and she would continue to do so. She stowed away on a merchant ship called The Bristle Packet bound for Port Royale in the Caribbean. Unknowing that the ship that she had boarded was the very ship that 3 months later her father would attempt to take. She met her father for what was the first time when she crossed blades with him after he had taken the ship. Of course she was no match for him, being raised at an Inn and having no one to teach her swordplay. She lost the saber that she had picked up from a fallen sailor within minutes of engagement. Outnumbered and trapped on a dying ship she faced the pirate Captain, her father, and defiantly put a knife to her own throat saying that if they did not except her as one of their crew and let her sail with them, then she would take her own life, and her blood would be on their hands. Impressed with her spirit they took her in and declared her Raven the lady pirate and witch of the Spanish Main. The crew taught her how to fight, steal, and most importantly how to hold her liquor. For 10 years she sailed with them aboard the Spar Hawk, until one day while at port, they were ambushed by the British fleet. Unable to flee they stood their ground until nearly all the crew was dead and the rest severely wounded. As Áine knelt by her father, and Captain as he lay dying she confessed to him her true parentage. Before he died he gave her a small ring bearing a sapphire, and told her "The ship is lost, as am I. Flee now and live to fight another day. You are more
than I was Áine, show these British dogs what a Sparrow is truly made of." Though wounded herself, Morgan managed to escape the ship without the notice of the sailors that were boarding to finish off her adopted family. There was one other thing that her father told her before her drew his last breath... that there was one other who could call himself a Sparrow. Áine has spent the last 2 years trying to find this man, and either kill him or join with him.
