Ok ok...so they really arent perfect...and some of them arent about Pirates but hey! Here is the poetry right from the diary of Saber Tompson.
A Pirate’s life
A life as a pirate can be so hard
With sailing, gold treasure, and the Navy,
With reef lines, and mizzen, sails by the yard!
But still a pirate’s life is for me.
A pirate’s life is nothing but trouble,
What with pillage, plunder, pilfer you see,
Captain’s order is done on the double!
But still a pirate’s life is for me.
A pirate’s life is lacking in pleasure
What with hard tack, dry meat, bad tasting tea,
So I’m beginning to sort of wonder,
Why must a pirate’s life be for me?
Always Moving
Marching, fighting, running,
A soldier never stops
He fights all day, and in the night
He marches till he drops.
He runs when he is told
To beat out a retreat
He also runs to charge the foe
To grab victory sweet.
A soldier moves about
Each, every, single day
He runs, he marches, and he fights
He moves in every way.
What it is…
(This one if for Jack)
A ship is more to me than timbers, many sails, and line
It is my home, my very own and I call it mine.
It’s my wife, my sister too, my brother all in one
And it will be there ever more until its time is done.
But more than these, a ship will be, in the times to come
It’s hope, and life, and success, but most it’s my freedom.
Dissatisfied
Pillaging, plundering, pilfering
That’s all I ever, ever, do!
I never stand still and sing,
I never swim the ocean blue.
Just pillaging, plundering, pilfering
Doesn’t that sound boring to you?
~Thats all for now...I'll post more later. I hope you like it!
