Paul was estatic, and picked her up and whirled her around once before setting her down. "Yes, let's dance, darlin', an' le' everyone know." His grin was wider than ever, and he was just as excited as Sarah was. He kissed her again, then continued dancing.

Sarah agreed with Paul. Yes, let us tell everyone, but first let me tell Maria! Sarah ran over to where Maria and Jack were dancing and showed them her ring. Maria, Jack! I'm getting married to Paul!

* Maria stopped dancing once Sarah had ame over. She almost tripped but luckily Jack caught her. Once Sarah had told her the news She looked at Jack then at Sarah. She hugged Sarah* " Good luck dear. Now I'd say it was a fine match." * Maria then grabbed Jacks hand again. She stared into nothing. She still had a grudge against Paul for almost killing her on the pearl. But was glad her best friend was getting married. As they danced Maria squezzed Jacks had at the thoughtof paul. She lokked at him and loosedned her grip.* " Oh sorry cap'n my mind must 'ave slipped."

Sarah was glad Maria seemed excited. Though she was kind of acting weird suddenly. Sarah figured she'd ask her later, right now she wanted to savor this moment.

*adrienne entered the ballroom, her tailored black silk dress swirling about her, the black pearls and equisite green and purple embroidery glinting in the light. Her newly dyed hair, silvery-lavender, held up by strands of beads into a elegant bun, her eyes a piercing blue-green. she looked around her and was taken back by the many colors of the gowns, the festivities* why did i even come here *she thought to herslf. * i only came because there was nothing else to do, i guess. *she decdended the stair slowly, as not to trip over her dress, and went for a drink*

Kat was still muttering about the waste of good rum when she saw Emma had started to dance with "Rick" again. "Oh no you dont! young lady you get over here this instant." she sounded like some sort of mother. Well she was older than Emma by 3 or 4 years. as quick as she could in a dress she started across the ballroom, bumping into Adrienne. " 'scuse me miss I have ta go stop my friend from makeing a fool of here self." And away she went again. "Emma please dear just come over here and sit down." Kat said trying to pull her friend over to the seats.

Paul grinned at Jack, accepted the wine, and toasted. As he was drinking, he noticed Maria. "She looks a mite familiar," he thought, frowning a little. He looked at her again, then at her outfit. "Nope, that's not why. . . ." Then he looked at her wrist and noticed the bracelet. "Tha's why! Yer the mate I took the bracelet from, ain't ye?" he asked her, now no longer concerned but rather apologetic. " 'm sorry 'bout me behavior, ma'am, an' 'm glad ye got yer bracelet back. Drink?" he asked, waiting for her to answer.

Maybe he had changed she thought.* " Oh Its all righ' mate Yer a changed man now ain't ye?" * He offered her a drink* " No thanks dear. I don't drink. All those years livin' wit' Jack and I can see wha' it can do you ye."

Sarah smiled as Maria forgave Paul. Sarah mouthed a 'Thank you' to her before saying anything else. Maria and Elizabeth both believe that Rum is a vile drink. I suppose it is. It'll turn me into a fool, so I don't drink anymore. Only when I'm pirating!

* Maria nodded at Sarah thank you and she went to go sit down again on the steps. She ran upstairs to change her clothes. Waering a corsett was very uncomfortable. She had told tobbs it.

Paul grinned as Sarah flew upstairs after Maria. "I always liked her spunk!" he noted, still smiling. He sipped his wine, then looked around for some company and spotted his brother David. " 'ey Dave! 'm gettin' married!"
David grinned. He had witnessed the whole scene with Paul and Sarah. He thought they were a cute couple, even if they were a few years apart in age. "I saw that, Paul. So, d'ye have anyone in mind for best man?"
Paul grinned. "O' course. You, me dearest brother o' mine." Paul slapped David on the back, and David was excited.
"Really? Me?"
"Yeah, you. An' ye better ask tha' Thatcher girl before someone takes her away, dear brother."
"Paul, just chill; I'm waiting for the right moment."
"When, in three years?"
"No, but soon. I'm just waiting."
