Sarah smiled as Jack went off to ask Maria to dance. She knew he didn't like it, but was glad he did it anyway. Sarah went off to find him a thank you present. But then realized she should watch the twins some. So she went back to the twins.

* Maria sat and watched the dance go on until she saw Sarh speaking to Jack and looking her way. She wondered what they were talking about. Was it something bad? Mara then saw Jack coming her way she thought nothing of it until he came up to her and asked her if she would want to dance. He extended his hand, she looked at him oddly then at his hand. She smiled*
" Well of course cap'n. That would be quite lovely."
* She took his hand and he lead her out to the dance floor.*

:Jack gave Maria a fairly formal bow then gently guided her arond the dance floor, all the while praying he wouldn't trip. But once more he told himself, it was like sword fighting....a few steps this way......a few steps back and around, and just keep time with the music:

(Sorry it took so long Saber...at least ye waited fer me!  LOL) ::Barbossa watched as Saber began to walk away, then bent down and picked up his pistol. He looked at the gun, then at Saber, then back at the gun, and after a moment's hesitation, he ran after her:: "Saber! Wait! ....I....want ye ta 'ave this." ::He took her hand and placed the silver pistol in it. He smiled at her:: "This be me favorite gun. Take good care o' it, won' ye? ..Don' worry, m'dear. Ye be worth it...." |

Saber was suprised when Barbossa took her hand and placed the pistol in it. She turned and faced him fully giving him a puzzled look. He smiled and explaind. She looked at the pistol then back at Barbossa and she grinned. "Thank ye Barbossa, but youd better watch that I dont use this 'ere gun on ye sometime." she chuckled "Im just joshin' mate. Come on and get some rum." she led him to the bowl and gave him a glass.
Kat walked into the ball wearing a long green dress, not unlike her sisters in design. Her red hair was arranged in curls but her black hat still sat upon her head. Seldom came a time whene she did not wear it. She looked about the room and nearly burst out laughing at three things. One, Jack was dancing and looking mighty uncomfortable, two, Her sister was actually associating with Barbossa and three her best friend Emma was apperantly dancing but with no one. Quiclk she went to her friend and said "Ummm...Emma...what exactly are ye doin'?
(ooc- yea kat has made her entrance! and all the girls groan cuz it just one more girl to compeat with for a dance lol.)

Emma turned to see Kat,looking slightly uncomfortable in a dress not entirely unlike Saber's.She smiled at her. "I'm dancin',what's it look like?"She turned to Rick (who was,of course,not there)."Rick,this is Kat.Kat,Rick."
Rick waved."Hey."

* Maria was nervous as the music went on. She hadn't danced in so long. She look up to Jack and gave him a look that said 'what do I do?' she took a deep breath as the dance began*" Jack I don't....." * she lowered down to a whiper* "... know how to dance"

*Will was leaning against the end of the buffet table, drinking down a shot of rum and glancing about the place, observing all of the rather strange and unusal things going on. He wondered where Elizabeth had gone off too then noticed that Maria had taken the twins to bed. He waited until he made eye contact with her while she danced with Jack then mouthed a thank you to her. Then he grinned and walked up to Barbossa.* Aye, looks like you've went soft on us mate. *Will winked, glancing at Saber, then back to Barbossa.*

"Ye wouldn' 'ave ta use a weapon like that on an innocent soul like me, would'ya?" ::Barbossa said with a sly grin::
::He allowed himself to be led to the rum bowl, and smiled cheerfully at Saber as she handed him a glass of the drink. Suddenly, he heard the eunuch behind him, saying something about him having gone soft. He excused himself from Saber's company for a moment, and picked up the rum bowl. Walking calmly back over to where Will was standing, Barbossa held the bowl high over his head, and then dumped it on the eunuch. He smiled, and placed the bowl in Will's outstretched hands. He then turned back to Saber, and started laughing::

*Will raised a brow as Barbossa picked up the rum bowl then cringed a little as he poured it over his head and placed it in his hands. Will set the bowl down and looked down at his rum soaked clothes and pushed his rum soaked hair back with his hand. He looked up at Barbossa and grinned a little, then, just to get back at the man, he pulled him into a tight hug, to soak him as well then he released him and winked at both him and Saber.* Ah, I'll let you get back to your girlfriend now Barbossa. *He smiled then strolled away.*

Saber giggled when she heard Will say Barbossa was going soft but then it turned to laughter when Barbossa "repayed" Will for that comment with the rum. She blushed a little when Will made a sly comment about her being Barbossa's girlfriend. "I am not Will Turner." she called after him "Ye just take that back right now...." He didnt. Picking up her skirts Saber walked quickly up to Will grabbed the back of his shirt turned him around and slaped him across the face. She would have punched him but she didnt think it was apropriate for the ball. She walked back to Barbossa in a huff. "He had it comming to him."
"hi..." Kat caught herself before she greeted the imaginary person. "Emma, theres no one there." she hissed grabbing her friends arm.

Sarah looked to Maria and Jack and saw they had not yet began to dance. Sarah picked up the two twins and walked over to Maria and Jack, she started dancing with the twins and whispered to Maria. Follow Jack! He's the leader.

*Will walked away from Barbossa and Saber then felt someone grab him, spin him around, and slap him across the face. His eyes widened with surprise and he raised a brow to Saber as she went back to Barbossa. He walked over to the two of them and grinned a little.* Well, now I know how Jack feels. *He smiled.* And I don't think I deserved that. Did you take it as an insult that i placed you with Barbossa? *He patted the man on the shoulder then shrugged a little.* Well I need to change. *He said then scurried upstairs to put on new clothes.*

"Oh yes you did Will Turner" Saber hissed after him. She turned to Barbossa. "Ive never been so...so...gah." Saber felt a bit bad because she slaped Will, and she wonderd what Jack would say about all this. And then there was Barbossa. How would he react to what Will said?
