*Erics brows lifted in what could be defined as amusement as she began telling him everything that she wanted. All this time he had thought she wanted nothing more then what they had together. He never thought she would want to get married, or even have children for that matter! He, of course, had wanted those things all his life. He supposed it had come from his enjoyment of taking care of his little sister before she passed away. Eric laughed warmly and nodded when she asked if she made sense.
His hand reached out and slipped beneath her chin, turning her head to face him again and a smile lingered upon his lips.* Evelyn *He whispered, tipping his head and kissing her briefly.* I'm willing to give you anything you want. *He said, his lips still linger just above hers for a moment before he stood up straight again, his warm eyes looking down upon her. He doubted his answer would suffice and it frustrated him that he could not tell her more. An almost appologetic look came over his face then and his eyes lowered to the deck.*

Emma watched the contest with great amusement, chuckling to herself quietly at the increasingly slurred insults her friends flung back and forth at one another. Her hands had to move quickly to make sure both of them had a full mug waiting at all times, but she was up to the task. After all, she had been in more than enough of these competitions herself to know what the devil you were supposed to do around them.
Though usually opinionated on nearly everything, and quite vocal about those opinions to boot, Emma quite honestly didn't know what to expect from those two. Kat... well, she didn't have much way of estimating Kat's skill as compared to the rest of the crew, but she did know quite well that the other woman was capable enough at holding her drink. And Evy... Well, that woman could give Emma a run for her money on a good day (for Ev, of course. And a bad day for Emma.) The match seemed fairly close, right up until the end. And then, with a thud that resounded all the deeper in Emma's mind, Kat went down.
When Rick had finished locking up the prisoner, he headed back up towards the deck, figuring he would find Emma there. He passed Saber on the way, giving her a nod of acknowledgment. Wasn't really paying attention, as he had no business with her at the moment.
In point of fact, he didn't feel he had any business at all that deserved a second thought until Emma's wounds had been seen to properly. That woman might be stubborn enough to insist she was fine with a big hold in her, but she wasn't bloody well invincible and she was going to have to realize that one day! Emma was going to make him worry himself into an early grave, that much was certain...
It turned out Emma was not on deck, which was somewhat surprising. Since they'd met their objective, the ship was most likely about to change course, and besides, the young auburn-haired woman was never one to pass up any of the tasks just begging to be done after a battle. But she was nowhere to be seen, so Rick moved on to plan B.
If Emma was not on deck, she was wherever the massive quantities of rum were. He had thought the drinking contest would have been over by now, but she must still be down in the galley. And so off he headed.
Em was in shock. She coughed slightly, then gave a smile completely unfettered by her surprise."The winner...Evelyn! An' when we get t'port, I'm sure you'll be able t'find Kat 'ere a lovely dress..."The thought nearly made her shudder. If she were any less confident in her own drinking ability, which bordered on superhuman at times, she would have been thankful that she hadn't been involved.
So, she wondered idly, as her inebriated friends were dragged away in unmatching states of consciousness, did that mean that she would have been able to beat Kat? She had, after all beaten the victor of the match several times already.
Her thoughts, though, were interrupted as Rick came into the room. She smiled rambunctiously as ever, getting up from her comfortable lounging position.
"An' just where've ye been, mate?" she inquired playfully.
He smiled at her affectionately, ruffling her hair just to make her angry. And they weren't even in front of her friends..."About... thought y'd be on deck by now..."
There was an unusual eloquence to the shrug of Emma's shoulders, thoroughly shattered by the unintentional wince when she remembered her wound."I...see... thought y'd 've found me by now..."
Her words fell on deaf ears as his attention was drawn back completely to her wound."Come t' th' cabin with me,Em,"he said quietly."Let's get ye patched up proper..."

Christiana worked the bars to the best of her notable ability, but every moment was making her more frustrated. Why didn't anyone know anything about that bastard? He had to be someone... it was almost as if he'd just appeared out of the misty, star-sprinkled night for the express reason of plaguing them, then disappeared again when he had finished. Honestly, that was all that she could come up with. Pity that wouldn't help them get the treasure back.
The regular gold and silver was important,yes...but not as important as it was,to hear Barbossa speak of it.Or rage about it,more accurately... the poor man was nearly out of his wits with anxiety about this whole unpleasant incident.
Her eyes fell on a group of men sitting and gambling by the roaring fire, and she swished her way across the crowded floor to them, taking up the occupancy of an abandoned chair."Evening, gentlemen," she said by way of introduction."What's the game?"
She won. It was hard for them not to lose when they spent the whole game staring at her. Not really fair, but then, it was Tortuga...
"Damn,we're out've money..."
Chris smiled, seeming almost friendly."That's no problem, lads,"she said happily."Let's play for something different.Information.Whoever loses has to answer a question."
Ordinarily,it would have been easier. But she knew Barbossa wouldn't like her using her body for things like this, so for now, she'd be doing things the long, difficult way...

Evelyn wasn't expecting to get the answer she got from him. For a moment, as he turned her head towards him, her heart was oddly elated. More so than usual at least. He whispered her name and her eyes shut, as if preparing for something more. She kissed him in return and took in a sharp breath before he let the words slip from his lips.
Her heart fell.
She opened her eyes curiously, noticing that for a moment she had been looking at him accusingly, she turned them away and back at the seas. Was he telling her there to simply ask for what she wanted? Could he possibly be planning it....? No...no of course not. He would have given her all of that by now if he were...why else would he wait? Especially when she was in this state. It was almost cruel really.
She couldn't understand the hesitation now. He knew what she wanted, didn't he? Maybe he just...was only going to give her his word. Did he not understand what she meant? "Oh...right..." was all she said, as her forearms leaned onto the railing. "I...well...its...its good to know..." she said awkwardly, cringing, and rolling her eyes at her own stupid reaction. Clearly she was putting far too much pressure on him at this point. Clearly, he didn't want what she wanted, at least not to the extent she did and her frustration boiled again. But this time, she would not allow it to surface. They were suppressed instead by her sadness, melancholy, and feelings of gratitude. This was simply all she was going to get from him. And that was that.
Standing up straight, she hopped onto the side of the railing, tipped back a bit too far, but steadied herself. "So...erm...what woke you then...? It wasn' me was it?" she asked casually, hoping to turn the attention away from the subject at hand.

*As she turned away from him Eric frowned and chewed his lip. He wanted to tell her everything, he wanted to tell her what he wanted as well but he couldn't. If he did it would only ruin everything he had been working on for months now, he couldn't do that. No, in the end she would see that he didn't give his word lightly. He could only imagine what she was really thinking about him right now and it bothered him greatly. She already thought he was, well, using her in a way and that thought made him reach into his pocket for a moment before pulling it back out again and rubbing his neck.* I swear to you someday you'll get the answer you wanted. *He said.
When she hopped onto the railing and tipped slightly his heart leapt and he jumped forward. When she steadied herself he folded his arms, letting them rest on her knees as he looked at her.* Don't do that Evelyn! You scared me to death. *He laughed. When she asked what woke him his smile grew larger and he gave a bit of a shrug.* I had a dream that we were sitting with a little boy...OUR little boy. *He said, standing up straight again.* And a ring was on your finger, by the way. *He added with a mischevious grin and started to walk towards the stairwell again. Maybe, just maybe that would put her at ease, even if only a little bit, to know that he had drempt of them being a family.*

She smiled at him as his arms fell to steady her knees and she touched the tip of her nose against his. "Scared you to death did I? 'S 'bout time I did. Thought you know, I was getting a bit too safe there for a moment." She chuckled. She stared down at the deck as he relayed his dream. When he mentioned the boy however being THEIR boy, her vision shot up at him. Her brows were both arched in astonishment. "Our...our...our...child...?" she asked softly, not directly speaking to him. Her mouth hung open for a moment. At the mention of a ring, she really almost toppled backward this time, but instead, threw herself onto the deck so as to prevent her from taking a late night dip.
"A, a, ring...?!" she yelped, steadying herself and running towards him. Turning him around she attempted to stop him by placing a hand tenderly on his forearm. "Really...?" she said with a smile and a strange, teary, glaze over her eyes. "Was...was it beautiful...?" she asked, noticing she had been asking about the boy instead of the ring and she bit her bottom lip a bit awkwardly. "The, the ring I mean." She stated, nodding and crossing her arms. "Because you know...if you EVER got that crazy idea in your head then...it'd have to be a well...a nice one for me to take...you know, since I'll be wearing it for a while...at least I suppose..." she said non-chalantly, saying it as if she were shrugging the whole matter off very casually.
"Was...did he have...your eyes...?" she asked a bit more specifically, heading below decks, making towards their room, and standing before their door, awating his response. Her hand searched behind her for the doorknob, which she finally found, but backed into it before deciding to let him get past her.

*A large grin formed on Erics face as he heard her leap off the railing and come chasing after him, asking about the ring. He didn't look at her until she was right up beside him again, and still the mischevious grin remained. When she placed her hand on his forearm he didn't stop walking, though he did slow down considerably.* Yes, I said ring. *He stated, amused at the reaction he was getting out of her.
When she asked if "he" was beautiful and then quickly added that she meant the ring Eric laughed, nodded, and picked up his pace again.* Yes it was. You would have loved it. *He said, referring to both the ring and the little boy. In all honesty he really did fell that she would have admired them both. He laughed heartily again when she said she supposed she'd probably be wearing the ring for a long time. Running his hand through his hair he looked at her with a raised brow.* Well I hope you'd be wearing it until I'm dead! *He exclaimed.
He looked at her curiously when she blocked the doorway and began asking questions about the little boy. Tipping his head to the side he looked her over for a moment and nodded lightly, a soft smile forming on his slightly parted lips.* He did and he had your hair and nose and my...*He leaned forward and kissed her quickly.* Lips. *He finished, standing back up up again as he continued to smile.*

Aaron sat on the floor, his elbows resting on his knees. He ran a hand through his hair for the umpteenth time and sighed. Why? That was the question he asked himself over and over. Life had been going so good. Why did the memories have to come back now? Lifting his head, Aaron looked about the room. Well he wasn't doing much just sitting there. Standing up, he took the few steps to the bed. He leaned over, and rested his hands on the mattress for a moment. Shaking his head, he stood upright and undid his belt. The belt and sash fell to the floor with a dull thud. Taking hold of his shirt he pulled it over his head, shaking his hair out of his face when he was done. Throwing the shirt in a corner he flopped down on the bed and lay on his back. He put his hands behind his head, and stared at the celing.
Suddenly he started up. That Book! Barbossa was gone, and he had left that book in the drawer in his room. Aaron fought with his curiosity for less then a minute. It was an easy choice. Lay here and think about past "aquaintences" or go and find out what Barbossa had been reading.
Aaron slowly opened the door to Barbossa's room. Still without a shirt he crossed over to the desk. He hesitated for a split second as he reached to open the drawer. But there... it was open. Aaron drew out the book and flipped it open. "What the 'ell...?" he said softly to himself. "A romance novel?" Dropping it back into the drawer with a look of disgust, he shut the drawer and left the room.
Aaron tossed and turned on his bed. His thoughts were muddled and sleep found it hard to come to him that night. The bed felt so empty, and cold. He threw the sheets off and walked to the solitary window. Leaning on the sill, he breathed in the salt air, and begged morning to come.

(ooc - Has no one noticed that Kat is still lying on the floor of the galley? *coughcough*)
A loud drawn out groan was heard from the floor of the galley. Movement was seen from the body on the floor. Kat turned her head from side to side as if trying to shake off her unconsiousness. She lifted her hands and put them to her eyes, blocking out the light coming from the lantern swinging overhead. Slowly, and unsteadily she sat up, keeping her hands on her face. She took them away and opened her eyes. Replacing her hands and then taking them away again she looked at her feet and the floor. Well the double vision was gone... mostly. Kat couldn't remember a thing. Well she could remember the 10th mug full... but after that... it was all a little fuzzy... literaly.
Reaching up, she grabbed ahold of the edge of the table. Carefully she pulled herself up. Finding her hat, mostly by feel rather then sight, she shoved it on her head. She put her hands to her face once more and swayed dangerously. Rubbing her eyes she took a deep breath. Putting her hands down she blinked several times and looked about the room. "Sooo..." She said started slowly, thinking about each word before it slipped from her inebriated lips. "Who... won... exactly?" She steadied herself against the table and looked around again. "Well?" Kat wasnt sure if there was anyone in the room to answer her question... but she wanted an answer anyway.

(Sorry it took so long to post, guys.... I've been busy with school and whatnot (i'm actually in class right now) Please don't rip my head off, Saber ;___; )
~Seurill~
::The piece of bread the woman had handed him was completely consumed in a matter of seconds. Seurill looked back up to see her offering him a flask through the bars of his cell, and frowned. What was she really trying to do? It was very unlikely she had come just to bring him food, especially if she was related to the woman who had kicked him before. However, it wasn't long before his thirst won out over his suspicions, and he grabbed the flask and downed half of the water in one gulp::
"Gracias, senorita...," ::he said, giving her a weak smile. He leaned back against the wall, gripping the flask in his hands protectively. Still not quite sure of her intentions, he continued to stare at her for a moment until he was sure she wasn't about to draw a sword. Then he let out a sigh and turned his gaze back to the window:: "Si.... I have...informacion. Please, miss.... I must speak to Captain...." ::He paused for a moment to find his words:: "I...can give him...treasure."
::He nodded to himself, positive that his message was clear this time. Perhaps now their captain would bother to come down and see him....::
~Barbossa~
::Barbossa glanced around at the various pubs and taverns lining the streets of Tortuga, hoping to spot Christiana among the crowds through the windows. She wouldn't be hard to notice: after all, no one else in the Carribean had as stunningly beautiful blond hair as she....::
::The pirate captain shook his head, putting a hand up to massage his temples. Now was not the time to have such thoughts, especially with memories of Saber so fresh on his mind. Instead, he kept his thoughts focused on the task at hand as he continued to search the windows. Finally, he found her::
::He recognized the pub immediately as the one where he and Christiana had first met, and a pang of something akin to guilt struck him. He remembered how he had treated her that night, how he had acted like she was nothing more than a common whore, and how he'd come to regret it since. She'd become an invaluable friend to him these past few months, and, lately, he'd begun to think he might just lo--::
::His thoughts were interrupted when he noticed that the men she was playing cards with were scowling at her, most likely because she was winning. He put a hand to his pistol and strode into the building, careful not to disturb them, but watching them closely all the same in case one of the men tried to hurt her in some way....::
(Okay, I apologize for the horrible, uncohesive writing I used in this post.... My brain be dead. Words no come out right. Sorry I ish.)

(ooc - *hides claymore* Bossa! Yea! *huggles* Oh and I think you need to stop mentioning me in your posts *grin* you're making Chris jealous)
Saber started back a little as the flask was snatched from her grip. She drew her hand back through the bars and watched the Spaniard drink. At least he seemed to be greatful for the water. Saber didn't know many who, like herself, would rather drink water, then rum anyday. But then this man proabably hadn't had anything to drink for hours. Saber mentaly groaned as she thought about her sister. Kat would need some serious looking after the next morning.
Saber listend curiously to the broken english of the captian. Saber rubbed her forehead in exasperation. "You want the Captain?" She asked with a sigh. Saber thought for a moment. Well... She had no clue where Tobbs was... Evy was drunk to the best of her knowledge... and just about everyone responisble for for them being on the ship out in the middle of the ocean was busy or absent. Her ears perked up at the mention of treasure. No pirate whatever their age, status, or education, can resist talk of treasure.
"Look... whoever you are..." Saber realized she didnt even know who this man was "We sort of... don't have... a captain... I mean we do... but... He's... not here." She sighed and stood upright out of her leaning position. "I'll see what I can do. I'll get the closest we have to a captain right now down 'ere soon as possible, so you can barter yore life off for this... treasure..." Saber turned and started to walk away. her curiosity got the better of her. Turning back around she tillted her head "So... what is the treasure anyway?" She asked, a sparkle in her deep blue eyes.

~Seurril~
::Seurril studied the woman's face for a moment, letting her words process through his mind. He could only understand a few words, but from what he gathered, she was going to try and help him. Then she stopped, turned around, and asked him about the treasure::
::He froze. Was there any reason for him to tell her? Sure, she'd brought him food and water, but she certainly wasn't a captain.... If he gave her the information about the treasure -- where'd he'd gotten it, and where it was now buried -- she very well might kill him and keep the information for herself. Of course, he had just as much of a chance of dying when facing the captain, but at least then he could invoke the rules of The Code::
::Shaking his head, Seurril raised his shoulders slightly:: "I...don't understand...miss...." ::He turned back to the wall, once again raising the flask to his lips as he waited for her to leave::

(ooc - I have tottal permission to NCP Em and Rick for this week. Em says she'll be back full after that.)
Saber's eyes narrowed. "He doesn't understand." She thought to herself. He understood. The way he advoided her gaze told all. Still... Saber had no real right to pry and find out what the treasure was. Shruging she turned and walked away. "Yore call mate..." She muttered over her shoulder. Slipping up the stairs she set about to find someone sober, and who was not occupied. She couldn't find Tobbs anywhere! And Evy... well she passed her and Eric staring at each other in the hall. No... it wouldn't do to break that up. She stepped into the galley to find Kat drunkenly demanding to know who won. Rick and Emma stood nearby.
Emma looked at her inebriated friend, with something akin to pity. She leaned over to Rick and whispered "Do you want to tell her? Or should I?"
"I'm not gonna tell 'er. You tell her, after all she's yore best friend!" Rick said with a small grin.
Saber sighed. "No one is gonna tell 'er... I'll let her know in the morning. Pushing past Emma and Rick she took hold of her sister's arm. "Come on Kat... its time for bed." Saber doged the swinging fist, but still held on to the arm.
Kat growled at her little sister. "Now look here... She slurred "I dont know who you think you are, but I'm not goin ta bed! Who won the bloody Contest?" She swung out and tried to punch Saber.
Saber sighed and pulled her sword from her belt. "Dont make me do this Kat. Come with me now... or I'll have to use drastic measures." Kat pulled at Saber's grip, and swore. Saber rolled her eyes and with a quick deft move smaked her sister on the back of the head with her sabre hilt. Dropping the sword she caught her unconsious sister as she fell. bending over Saber hoisted the limp form over her shoulders and headed for the door. "What? She said to Emma and Rick slightly amused at their somewhat shocked faces.
Carrying her sister, Saber made her way to their cabin. Opening the door with a little trouble, she finally kicked it open. Saber looked about the room. There was no way she was going to be able to get Kat into the top bunk where she usual slept. Instead she eased her sister into the lower bunk and standing upright massaged her own shoulders. With all the lifting and carrying she had done that day her body would hate her in the morning. Saber looked down at her unconsious sister with disgust. Kat was still covered in blood from the day's battle, and she also had rum all over her.
Saber sighed... with the smell of that cabin there was no way she would be sleeping in there that night. Grabbing her sea cloak from her large wooden chest she wrapped it around herself and headed for the top deck. The Spaniard would have to wait... everyone was caught in their own thoughts tonight... and Saber was no exception. She made her way to the stern rail and looked out over the sea. Maybe tomorrow will be better... she told herself... maybe.

Evelyn looked up at Eric and smiled. So..could this dream possibly allude at all to his desires to have all of this with her? He seemed rather happy about it all. That was certain. When he began describing their son, she smiled, finding her cheeks flushing and growing warm with excitement and joy. But wait...what? Why? His lips met hers in a quick kiss and she smiled back at him, closing her eyes.
"Poor boy..." she jested, referring to the boy having to have Erics' lips. "Besides that though, the child would be well off, with my hair and nose and everything...you know." She teased, opening the door allowing him inside and shutting the door behind them. She was dead tired by now, and not to mention still felt a bit sick, though the cool, fresh, sea air had calmed her down substantially. What she did sense, however was a headache coming on, but she doubted it would be much of a problem really.
She headed towards the bed, staggering a bit, and flopped face down onto it, groaning slightly. Thinking back, she could only faintly recall a drinking match...Kat..."Oh! Bloody 'ell...Eric..." she muttered into the mattress of the bed so that her voice was slightly muffled. "I won...right?" she asked, arching a brow, and turning her face towards him. "Please tell me I won' be needin' to wear a dress...I'd probably kill myself first!" she exhasperated, throwing her arms up, and flopping back down into the bed.
She rolled over to look up at him from her back and spread out her limbs comfortably over the bed. "I could see it now...loomin' at me like some nightmare...a tight corset, frills, and...pink!" Evelyn spat, in a disgusted manner, before gazing back up at him lovingly, with a twinkle in her eye. "I know YOU'D 'ave loved to see me in it." She grunted.
