Maria raised a brow. Her body was turned fully now and she watched with an amused expresion on her face as Evy tried to make Eric more presentable. "Oh come now Evy. Let him live a little..." she said with a light chuckle. Her gaze followed them as they travelled back down the stairs and her head snapped when Tobbs addressed her.
The young woman smiled as her arms tightened around her waist. "Sure." She willingly following Tobbs down to the galley, quite hungry as she was. She had only been awake for about an hour but the sudden feeling of emptines reminded her of her hunger.
"But I am" she plugged in quite suddenly as she curiously peered in.

She stood there staring at him angrily. Her eyes were narrowed and her arms were crossed, reflecting the defensive way she was around him at the moment. The jokes of course were his way of weaving his way out of trouble, its happened millions of times before so she could recognize it instantly. She turned her eyes away from him and stared at the barrels in the corner as if actually pondering what she could do with the foods available to them. His words came quickly in one ear and out the other. She wasn't trying to pay them much attention as he had already bothered her with his previous statements and buried himself deep enough.
When he mentioned the crew already knowing she jerked her face back towards him. "Well...I...." she stammered, turning red again but this time with a mix of anger and embarrasment. "I mean they might know I suppose..." she said slowly, running a hand through her curls, smoothing them out of her face. "But well you don' have to go all rubbing it in their face you know. Its just...not polite." She barked. She supposed he was right as for a while they had been sharing a lot of things together, including a room. "And the candle thing...not funny! So you'd have liked it if I went up in flames right next you then, is that it?" she bellowed throwing her hands up in the air.
She rolled her eyes at the rest of his comments and seemed to discard them. What she did to annoy him was not the issue and besides they weren't all that bad anyway. When he made his way towards her she sighed heavily, attempting to realease the anger that was only simmering within her now. Then however, a thought came to mind. "So, I bother you, do I?" She smirked mischieviously. "Those little things bother you?" she said again with emphasis. "Haha. Just you wait then. Then you'll see how nice it is seeing your 'counterpart' doing some of the stuff you do. And ye know...I wonder when we'll be gettin' back to Tortuga..." She said smartly, looking up at him, and patting him a bit harder than usual on the cheek.
Tobbs' voice then wafted into the room and Evelyn craned her neck to see around Eric. "Breakfast! Good idea mate!" she chirped. "Ye'd probably do much better than myself anyway, might not even poison the whole bloody crew!" she said, giving Eric a somewhat sincere uneasy squeeze around the waist. The idea was settling in her mind now and she could not wait until they reached Tortuga again.
"And I'm actually up for lettin' Eric be the test subject if there's any question the dish might be deadly Tobbs." Evelyn said satisfactorily kissing him a bit more tenderly on his now tense jaw. "You agree, right Maria?"

*Eric laughed when she said she supposed they all knew. How could they possibly not know? Why else would Eric be on a ship like this?* I wasn't rubbing it in their face, Evelyn, I was talking to you not them. *He sighed, shaking his head. At least she was calming down now! For a moment he had been worried he was going to get an apple chucked at his head.* And no I don't want you to go up in flames. If I did I'd of thrown the candle at you, not let it melt everywhere. *He said with mild amusement, not wanting to appear to humerous just to be on the safe side.
Just as she mentioned getting back to Tortuga Eric's brow furrowed curiously and Tobbs and Maria made their way into the galley. The way Evelyn was speaking to them she sounded like they had some major plan that was going to happen in Tortuga and somehow he had just gotten volunteered as a test subject! He eyed her and the other two women with high suspicion and rubbed the back of his neck.* What do you mean? What's happening in Tortuga? If I'm supposed to be apart of it I should know! *He exclaimed nervously.
He wished Jack were here, or any other man for that matter. It was unusual enough having so many women on one ship but now they seemed to be plotting against him! Going over to Maria he gave her his flashiest smile, threw his arm about her shoulder and gave her a squeeze.* Come on, Maria, you'll tell me won't you!
*Glancing back over at Evelyn he began to wish he had never made those smart ass remarks earlier. Of course somehow he had a feeling this devilish womanly plan had been brewing for longer than just this morning.*

Maria prodded her cheek with her tongue and bit it as she smiled upon hearing Evy's comment. "Oh completely....So we know if he chokes and keel overs, we know not to eat it." The young lass grinned and titled her head back onto the wall. "No offense Tobbsie," she said nudging the blond woman with her elbow. Maria detached herself from wall and took a step in Evy's and Eric's direction. "Be a gentleman and take one for us will you?" She lifted her chin, eyes sparkling in amusment.
Maria drew in a deep intake of breath, rolling nher eyes in unison as he threw her arms around her. "Why do you ask me?" she piped glancing up at him with a raised brow. "I may be young you know but..." she paused and took hold of his arm, realesing herself from his embrace. ".... I'm not easily swayed. Besides there isn't anything going on."

Saber smiled at the banter going on among the other crew members. She slowly made her way towards the gally, passing Kat on the way. For a moment she almost thought about stopping, apoligizing, and making up with her sister. But no, she wouldn't. Let it go and Kat would be herself in a few hours... meaning not much would have changed in her attitude, but she might be more aprochable. Besides why should she stoop so low as to admit she was wrong? Saber passed into the gally and looked around at the dark and confused faces. "Obviously I missed something, so I'm not going to intterupt. Nope not me." Saber winked at Tobbs "If you all would excuse me I just want to get some breakfast." Saber pushed her way through all of them to get to a green apple.
Kat meawhile sat on deck muttering to herself. She stared ahead at the ship they were overtaking. "Breakfast. Huh, as if anyone can think of food at a time like this." Getting up from her seat on a crate she put away her knives, and jammed her hat firmly on her head. Quickly she made her way to the rigging and began to climb it with dexterity. Reaching a spar she sat down and gazed ahead. Her green eyes flashed as she took in the veiw. Kat was no sailor but she had taken to the sea quite easily, and enjoyed every moment she was on it. Noises from below brought her back from her thoughts and she frowned. It was probably Saber making all that noise. You would think at her age she would have a little more maturity. "Oh where the bloody 'ell is Emma? I want someone sensible to talk to."

Her eyes shifted to Saber as she entered and smiled. "Breakfast...righ', tha's what I was here for." She said as well with a heavy sigh. Looking behind her she saw that crimson apple with a large bite in it and took it up again, rubbing it onto her shoulder a bit before diving in for another chunk. "An' by the way, nothin's goin' on Eric. Now you're just being paranoid." she said annoyingly with a roll of her eyes. "Tobbs would you mind givin' a shout when you're done makin' whatever it is you're brewing?" she asked. With a sound nod from Tobbs she lifted her weight from the counter she had been leaning against and headed towards the doorway leading to the stairs that took her back up to the spar deck.
The cool breeze stung her face as it collided with her and she glanced around briefly spying on Kat sitting comfortably on a spar, usually a place Evelyn would go to for some solitude and so she supposed that's exactly what she was needing at the moment. Moving towards the bridge, she made her way towards the helm which last night, had had one of its spokes tied to the leg of table nearby so the direction continued to stay slightly northeast.
Releasing the helm from the knot it had been in for the past several hours, she dropped it and turned her eyes to the maps that lay out on the table. Three large scrolls were sprawled out under a golden, skull of a weight. They fluttered in the wind now and each depicted a closer look at the piece of the world they called home. One was focused entirely on the Caribbean and the surrounding isles, that was the last under the pile. The other of the western hemisphere including the America's. The last of south america in particular. Staring out ahead towards the bow she noted the ship had turned since her trip into the galley and her brows furrowed.
"Hmm..." she hummed, staring down at the compass whose direction had remained firmly planted in the north east. However, now, the merchant ship seemed to have changed direction and instead of heading towards New England, it seemed to be headed sharply towards a nearer destination, Spanish territory in the south west regions of North America's.
They were now visible off the port bow. Frowning, she adjusted the helm. "Oy Kat!" she called towards her, deciding something like this warranted a second opinion. "D'you think they might have caught on to us?" she shouted into the winds as her hair swirled around her face. "I thought this ship was headed towards New England? And now it seems as if its headed towards familiar lands!" she shouted, pointing towards the merchant ship which appeared that much closer to them now.

Kat looked down at Evelyn. “How in the world could they be on to us? We aren’t exactly bearing down on them with gun at the ready.” She yelled. “Besides, even if… and I say if they were on to us they wouldn’t make it to any body of land, Spanish or English, before we take them.” Kat looked back at the ship. “Still” She thought. Climbing and swinging down as fast as she could Kat was soon back on deck beside Evelyn. Her green eyes flashed and her flaming hair danced in the stiff breeze. “I personally don’t think there is any reason to worry, but we should still alert Tobbs. We wouldn’t want to be caught off our guard if anything unusual were to happen.” Kat looked towards the galley, and then sighed. “Would you mind going? I really don’t want to meet up with you-know-who.”

“I’ll go.”
The voice came from the center of the ship. A tall figure stood leaning against the main mast, his arms folded across his chest. He wore a dark blue tunic, loosely buttoned, accompanied by black breeches tucked under black boots. A belt hung ‘round his waist, and he wore no jewelry. His hair was rugged and his eyes were intensely blue. He stood around 6 ft tall and had the appearance of a young adult-close but not yet 18, to be exact.
Ian Miller. He’d joined Sparrow’s ship when they’d stopped to drop Jack off. He’d remembered Tobbs was uncertain of additional crew members when the captain wasn’t aboard, but he’d been accepted, nonetheless. He had a rather mysterious, quieter nature, but then again, he’d just joined...
“I’m heading down there myself. Thought I’d catch some breakfast. I’ll tell Tobbs.”
Nodding his head, he turned and began to head below deck towards the others. He could hear the galley loud with voices. He paused in the entryway and leaned yet again on the frame.
“Tobbs, Evelyn and Kat think something might be happening with the merchant ship we're afte’. They await you’ advice above deck.”
He entered and took a seat with the crew, smiling slightly at the fact Eric was surrounded by mainly...or really all, women.
“And a good day to the crew, as well. Thought I smelled something brewing below deck. I'm no cook, otherwise I'd offer my help in the matter. I'm suprised they haven't forced you into cutting or skinning something, Eric.”
His smile grew and he glanced up towards Maria.
"Think we'll meet with the merchant ship today? Winds favor us...but if they're running..."

Maria took a step to the side as Saber pushed her way through the small crowd in order to feed her appetite. Her eyes fell upon the bowl of apples as the other woman took one in her hand. Dark eyes widened slightly and she took a step in the bowl's direction but stopped when Evelyn cut her off, brushing passed her in order go back up on deck. The young lass drew in a deep intake of breath and fell back onto the wall she had been leaning on just seconds earlier. There was a dull ache in the pit of her stomach, due to hunger no doubt, and she longed to be rid of it. Her arms dropped to her side before wrapping around her waist.
Just as she tipped her head back onto the wall watching the crew from beneath her lashes, yet another entered. Ian Miller, a new addition to the crew who boarded their ship quite recently. As he took a seat along with the rest of the crew she rasied a brow and shifted against the wall...
"That's tomorrow..." she said as she averted her gaze to Eric and gave him a wink.
"Aye," the young lass said with a nod, "I believe so..." Pushing herself off the wall she walked over to the rest of the crew, took an apple and rubbed the skin against the material of her own tunic, giving it a shine. "Are you ready for it?"

Tobbs had already taken out the cook’s mix of biscuit batter, mixed in some water, whipped out a pan for frying, and added a pinch of salt to the concoction. She’d learned to make a biscuity version of pancakes from Boyard, the cook whom seemed to be suffering from a severe hangover.
“Ya know I’m just as good at this as you are Evy!” She called over her shoulder as the woman went above deck to check their current status. She sparked up the area for cooking and lit a little fire. Placing the pan over it, she poured in circles of batter and began chopping up apples while she waited to flip them. She lined up plates on the table, shoveling out two pancakes from the pan on each. While next batch of pancakes were poured in, she added apple slices to the sides of plates as well. Just while she started a fourth round of pancake toss, Ian Miller, a new crew man, called to her from the doorway.
“Yer kidding me? Hmm...Alrigh’, let me just...scoop these on plates...” And so she did so... “And put out that fire...” which she did as well, “And...well alrigh’, can’t finish now. Start eatin’ up whats on these plates, and offer ‘em up to anyone else who comes in or around.”
Seemed almost unimaginable to fill 16 plates in such a small span of time, but with 4-5 pancakes a round, quick chopping skills, and the need for speed, she’d managed it quite well. Plus, she’d once had to feed a larger, more obnoxious crew than this...Cleaning off her hands, she eyed Ian for a second, still slightly suspicious over him (she never really trusted anyone until they’d mutually earned eachother’s over time), then headed upstairs.
“Eat up, all of ye! Might be a big day today, and I want that rum!”
Arriving on deck, she glanced around and spotted the two pirates. Tobbs walked over while sh pulled out a spyglass, aiming it in the direction of the ship.
“Changed her direction, did she? What new course is she on?”

“More than ever.” His voice had slight anticipation in it, affirming the statement he’d made. “It’s been awhile since I had a ..good plunder. And now I’ll be able to see how great the crew of Jack Sparrow’s really is.”
He said the last in a sort of challenge, but not in offense. Ian’d grown a sort of respect for the Pearl and her crew, which was why he’d pushed to join it. He hadn’t decided whether he favored it, however. He used to be a part of Barbossa’s crew...but he’d never told anyone aboard, and he vowed he never would if he decided to stay. After all, joining your most admired enemy was rather intense and enthralling, wouldn’t you think?
The man had been born to a pirate captain, adopting his father’s and the crew’s ways of pirating and pillaging. With his father’s death, he’d spent two years with Barbossa, adding in the ‘no pity no mercy no emotion’ attitude in his life. Before he was with Jack, he’d jumped from one ship to another and landed himself in Sparrow’s crew.
He wasn’t bitter as he had been before, but he was distant and mischievous at times. And, probably influenced by his being 17 AND around pirates since he could walk, he had that strong competitiveness with those around him. Leaning back in his chair, he took another bite from the apple and pulled a plate Tobbs had just made closer to him.
“Well, she seemed like she knew what she was doing. Can’t fight on an empty stomach...”
He cut a piece of the large pancakes off and ate it. Standing up, he headed for the cupboards and looked through them. Finding a jar of molasses, he brought it back to the table and sat.
“Anyone else care for some while we wait for news? Saber, Maria, chairs?” He reached over and pulled out two, his indication of the offer for them to join him and Eric.

Kat looked up not surprised when Ian spoke from the mast. Her Assassin ways had trained her to not be surprised by anything. "Fine by me mate." She watched him turn and frowned. Kat was suspicious of newcomers, but then when was she ever not suspicious at all?
Saber looked up as Ian walked into the crowded galley. She smiled a greeting at the young man and took another bite of her apple. After Tobbs left Saber shook her head. "I hope we don’t have too much trouble with that ship."She sighed and sort of slumped against the wall. At twenty four, and with the fighting life she led, time was beginning to take its toll. Her fainting spells were become more common, but she wouldn’t alarm the crew. As Ian suggested they sit down and eat Saber smiled. “Now this mate has got the right idea.” She chuckled and took the seat offered to her and began to eat. Unlike her sister Saber trusted almost everything and everyone, which normally got her into major trouble. With Ian it was no different. “So Ian, that’s right isn’t it? Ian what’s yore story? You don’t have to tell us if you don’t want to but…”
Kat looked up as Tobbs approached “Ay she’s changed her course, but as to what I’ll have to let Evelyn answer that one."

Evelyn stared out at the ship as it became increasingly large now. "Hmm..." she said, her face contorted with both anxiety and concern. Kat definately had some good points. "But ye know..." she said slowly, attempting to find some reason for this new course of action they seemed to be taking.
"At this range, I bet a spyglass could make some of us on deck out a bit..." she continued, hoping the thoughts she was now spewing before her would make some sense. "And well, i's not like we all look like the British Navy's pride and joy. Even if we are trying to pass off as a merchant ship, there's certain demeanor they'll probably recognize." Her hands remained steady on the helm and its spokes.
She turned it now to the left watching as the ship's bow slowly aligned itself once more with the ship ahead. "An' well the Spanish territories I'd wager would at the very least be their best bet if they were at ALL suspicious of us. It'd be much faster to reach that then head up north for several more leagues to reach the ports of New England." She added. "But...I dunno.." her eyes narrowed. "Ye know, we could always take a look ourselves. If I recall correctly, Jack's bound ta have a spyglass himself, hopefully its still in his quarters..."
Then just like clock work Tobbs was up on deck, ready to crack this mystery that seemed to have befallen them. Her eyes shifted to Kat and then back to Tobbs.
"Well...ye see they WERE and so were we, headed north by north east, and well she seems to have shifted sides off the bow of our ship from when I went below decks so I checked the course. Seems as if they're headed due north by northwest. According to what I know of the American mainlands, that's Spanish territory." She said this all rather quickly, as if explaining all these technicalities was rather boring for all of those around her to hear.
"Now, back when Jack and the crew spotted the ship I remember him saying it was headed to New England like it has been for the past week. So either he was wrong, which, even in his drunken stupor, he usually isn't when it comes to the seas, you know that, I know that, and most of the crew believes that. But well now its turned and frankly I think somehow they have to have gotten suspicious. Their closest and safest port from here would BE their own territories and everyone knows the southwest is heavily secured by the Spanish. And its prefect that ye brought that spyglass..." she added, nodding towards the golden collapsible item in Tobbs' hands.
"You can tell if any of the crew is visible. If they are, then they probably saw us, and maybe suspect something's wrong as well, its not like we're dressed like Great Britain's finest! AND after four days seeing us tailing them so closely, and now gaining ground they might be worried." She took a deep breath then and crossed her arms. "So Tobbs, can ye make out any idividual crew mates? If so then that's probably one of the reasons they might 'ave gotten suspicious." She concluded hoping it had all strung together nicely.
"Either way though, as Kat mentioned, their doomed really. The Pearl is far too quick for anyone to run from if we really push her. Reaching the Southwestern Spanish territories is their best bet, but they'll never reach it." Evelyn stated satisfactorily, with a proud smile on her lips. She had always been rather proud of the ship and the crew and was never shy about sharing that with anyone.

*What did Maria mean by "if he killed over they'd know not to eat it? With a snort he cocked a brow at her as she moved his arm.* Well now I'm not eating anything in Tortuga unless I make it myself *He said, suddenly eyeing the plate of food Evelyn had made him with high curiosity. If he hadn't been sitting right there while she made it, he wouldn't touch it, but for now he supposed it was safe enough and took a few bites from the salted pork. As Saber wandered in he gave her a nod with his head, wondering to himself if she was in on it as well, whatever IT was!
As Evelyn made her way to the door Eric watched her like a hawk, his eyes darting between all of the women now in the galley. When Evelyn said he was just being paranoid his confusing only grew, as did his annoyance with the situation.* Maybe I am but with you all around its reasonable to be paranoid! *He exclaimed, plopping down in an empty chair and pulling his plate towards him. For the time being he chose to ignore the women.
He glanced over his shoulder suddenly when the sound of a masculine voice drifted his way. It was a highly welcomed noise! Ian was always a quite man but a man none the less so his company came as a welcomed reprieve. Eric grinned at the mention of his cutting or skinning anything.* I was gonna but Evelyn came down with me so you can imagine how that went. *He grunted, shaking his head. There were certainly two pairs of pants worn in that relationship, and sometimes he felt his was just a little shorter than Evelyns.
Returning back to his plate of food he munched on it curiously, wondering what was gonig on with the merchant ship. When Maria suddenly piped up about something happening "tomorrow" Eric merely smirked at her and shoved his empty plate of food away from him. As more food was sent his way Eric gave a shrug and ate it. Hell, he hadn't had a breakfast this large in a while (due to sleeping in) and he was going to take advantage of it. Especially if someone else was cooking it!
As he began to listen to the talk about the merchant ship he didn't offer up his own opinion. Eric didn't like rum so in all honesty he didn't care if they caught up to it or not. However most of the crew liked it and without it they weren't exactly pleasant to be around. Letting out a sigh and sitting back in his seat with his hands behind his head he yawned.* Well if something is going on I should go get my sword and pistol. Hate to get caught off guard without it. *He groaned, rising from the chair. He gave Maria and Saber one last suspcious look before heading back out to his cabin.*
ooc: Woot for Boone!

Maria nodded and followed Saber, taking a seat at the table next to Ian. She plopped down and swung a leg over the other as she leaned forward, gazing at the large helping of food that was just begging to be eaten. Her stomach growled once more and she did not hesitate to feed it.
"Well Tobbsy I would say you've done well."
Maria sighed with contemptment and pushed the plate away, gazing up but in fact finding no Tobbs there. Her brows stitched together and she shrugged, reaching for the still un eaten apple. As Eric rose from his seat, making his way to the door she caught the suspicious look he gave her and raised a brow. Paranoid indeed.
"That would be a pity."
The young lass sighed happily and sat back in her chair, this time turning her attention to the young man sitting beside her.
".... 'twould be nice," she chimed in.
ooc- oh and just for everybody's info Maria DOES know that she is a Turner.. Just saying that, even if I know Will and them aren't in this RPG. oksies everybody?
