Sam awoke and sat up. He was begginning to regain his strength. He took a drink of water that was on the table next to his bed. The wound in his neck was begginning to heal now and he could talk again without too much trouble. He got out of bed and dressed himself and then walked out into the hall. He went above deck to look out at the beach. When he got above deck he buckled his belt and rested his hand on the hilt of his sword. He was going to go back to that cave and kill everyone in it, but he was going to ask Mark, Evy, and Eric to go with him. He figured they would want some revenge too. Plus the men would come back for them all anyway. Might as well take the fight to them. He sat on the railing of the ship and began to sharpen his sword. He ran through many plans of attack in his head, but he felt it was best to sneak into the cave and fight them in there where it would be harder for him and his friends to get surrounded. He hoped they would agree to go with him, he would go alone if he had too.

*Eric grinned as he reached her, noticing how her shoulders slumped a little at his approach and her teasing words only made his smile grow.* Well dont get too excited to see me *He grunted, rolling his eyes a little. He knew she hadn't wanted him to come but she had also known that he didn't want her going alone so either way they were both going to have to give a little and get a little, it was the only way they were going to get her favored dagger back.
He glanced down at her hand as it smoothed over his shoulder and he moved it away only slightly, moving his own hand over it to keep it blocked from her. It was his way of thinking she would worry less if he did so.* Yeah and considering my lifestyle I should have left when you told me to, but I didnt and now look at where I am. *He grinned, giving her a quick kiss on the forehead.
As she continued to give reasons why he shouldn't go he rolled his eyes, reaching out and rubbing her arms with his large hands as she shivvered in the cold.* You know I'm not going back Evy so you can keep wasting time or we can just get going and find your dagger. Besides if we got 'em all last night theres nothing to worry about...is there. *He grinned, feeling confident that he had actually finally won an argument. Thrusting his hands back into his pockets he rocked on his heels a bit. She leaned against him and he smiled.* I know you are but you gotta keep in mind Im usually doing the same. *He stated, nudging her slightly.
As a strange looking old man grinned oddly at Evelyn, Eric glarred at him and pulled her closer to him, leading her away and back towards the caves again. It was a strange thing really, at first Eric hadn't been that jealous of her. But now it seemed he was finding the need more and more to prove that she was his.*

Rhys froze at Mark's words. A tear streaked face, turned upwards slowly. "I..." Rhys started a small smile playing on her face. However, the tears kept rolling. "You think I love Eric? You silly twit! How could I love Eric? Yes, he has a really great body, and he's sweet, and kind, and so loveable..." She trailed off realizing she was getting side tracked.
Clearing her head she looked at the deck below her, "I came here to apoligize for pushing you away. Ever since I found my brother alive and with Barbossa... I didn't want to get close to anyone. I didn't want to have to choose between family and friends again. To join Barbossa or to stay with Sparrow." She wipped a stray tear away, "If I'm not close to anyone then I won't get hurt at all."
Taking a deep breathe, she looked up, "But being by myself hurts worse. I just didn't realize it until I had almost lost you. I hadn't realized how much I need you."
She reached a shaking hand out weakly and touched his cheek. With a bit of effort, she leaned forward and kissed him tenderly. Her eyes slid shut and she melted. For the first time in a very long time, she was happy and felt like she was on the right track.
Breaking the kiss of after a moment she cracked a grin, her eyes sparkling with mischeif, "Although... Eric is really cute..."

Evelyn walked on with Eric and he seemed to pull his wounded shoulder away from her. She couldn't help but frown slightly at his gesture although she suspected he only wanted her not to worry so much over him. He gave her a kiss upon the forehead and she smiled appreciatively. Looking down the road as it began to branch off into a gnarled path towards the caves, she felt as Eric's hand moved Evelyn away from the glares of the old man, and she snagged a look up at him as he did so.
"Hehe, jealous of an old, crippled, man Eric?" she queried with a laugh as she made towards the beaches leading towards the caves. " 'M not too sure whether ta feel rather loved and protected or jus' plain offended ye'd think I'd run off with that?" She said with another slight chuckle, offering up a casual wink. They trudged over brittle sand as the skies grew dark. The morning had broken clear, but it seemed as if the small rain from last night dared not abandon the shores of the island they were still on.
A clap of thunder was heard in the distance and a mighty gust of wind suddenly rose and then fell, like a swift tide rolling into and out of the beaches.
Once they reached the caves her eyes peered around. "Stay close Eric. Wouldn' want ta have ta go lookin' for ya in this mess. An' considerin' the loss, I don' think I'd risk it." She commented with a playful smirk before passing the corpse of one she had skirmished with the night before.
"Ah, bloody 'ell!" Evelyn cried in the darkness, bringing an arm up to her nose, and turning to bury her face slightly in Eric's good shoulder attempting to stifle the rotting smell of corpses. "Almost forgot there'd be a bloody awful stench in 'ere." She commented, turning back barely glancing at the corpse before turning back to look ahead.
Small shafts and pools of light leaked inside and dotted slabs of path within the cave but she knew before long they'd need a seperate source of light. "Actually, stay real bloody close, light in here is terrible." She half muttered to herself, looking Eric over with a concerned gaze.
"An' remember, keep a look out for my dagger, savvy? I'm not bloody leavin' this cave till I find it." She stated rather sternly, giving a sound nod, taking a careful step over another body that littered the inky black cave floor.

*Eric laughed warmly, glancing back over his shoulder at the old crippled man and then returning his gaze down at Evelyn. He gave her another gentle squeeze and shook his head.* Nah, Im not afraid of you running off with him. Just worried he'll try and run off with you. *He chuckled as they walked on. Eric knew better than to think she'd want to spend her life with the likes of that guy however a few moments back he had worried that she might fall for Sam. Inwardly he still wondered at this but hoped his love for her, and hers for him would always overshadow anything she ever thought about the guy.
As the viloent sound of the thunder filled the sky and the wind swept across the beach a chill went up Erics spine and he frowned a little. He couldn't help but wish Evelyn hadn't been quite so attached to her daggar. He smirked at her as she spoke again.* Yeah well you better keep a good hold, wind this strong will probably blow you away. *He grinned sideways, glancing at the body as they passed it. He brought his hand to his mouth and nose as the pungent smell of rotting flesh filled his nostrils and he stiffled back a gag.
He squinted his eyes as they adjusted to the ever increasing darkness and kept them peeled for any signs of her daggar. The sooner they could find it, the sooner they could get out of here and back to the ship. They walked along slowly, the hand that wasn't holding onto Evelyns was extended out and feeling along the wall as they went. Suddenly he heard a slight cracking noise rather close by and he paused, furrowing his brow.* DId you hear that? *He asked and was just about to look over at her when the ground gave way beneath their feet and he clutched a hold of her as they tumbled down a rather steep and narrow passageway that was so black Eric wondered for a moment if he'd gone blind. He tried reaching up and grasping for anything, a vine, a rope, anything that would stop their fall but it was useless. The only things in this tunnle, wherever it led, were him and Evelyn.*

When Eric mentioned Evelyn being blown away by a gust of wind she arched a brow and shook her head. "Blown away? Nah, not when I've got a nice strong tree to cling to." She commented displaying a large, beaming, grin in his direction. As they made their way deeper within the cave she had to blink several times in order to truly see anything in front of her. She felt a hand firmly grasping hers as they made their trek inside. Her eyes scanned her surroundings thoroughly and for a moment she paused dead in her tracks as she noted a glint in the cave.
"My dagger!" her voice echoed twice over in the cave as she made to seperate herself from Eric to reach it. Just then however, the small sound of crumbling reverberated, and Eric's hand held firmly onto hers. At his words Evelyn turned her head around. Her eyes fell upon Eric's dark form and she furrowed her brows. Obviously she had but before a word could be uttered the ground crumbled, cracked, and gave way.
Evelyn gave a startled shout that echoed throughout the cave just before she was pulled close, and they shot straight downward.
Everything passed in a blur of dirt, rock, and darkness before them. She closed her eyes for a moment and simply clutched onto him for dear life. Staring up for a brief moment the slight gray of meager light from above fainted and then was diminished as a bit of dirt came flying into her eyes and she forced them shut once more. A scratch was felt from behind but she merely kept her grip around Eric secure until finally...
The tunnel ended, and they rolled forward down a slope and onto solid ground once more. Evelyn gave a groan and blinked, her bruised eye not opening much, but the better one quickly scanning her surroundings as she attempted to sit up with no success. She coughed up dirt and hacked slightly before she was able to somewhat gather herself again. It was just as dark, if not darker here than where they were before.
Her head pounded slightly and she spat before finally uttering a single word. "Eric?" She rubbed her head slightly as she made to sit up. She brushed slight bits of mud, rock, and dust from herself before she sighed heavily and looked up.
She squinted with her good eye and spotted the distant hole far above them. Initially, a cold, lump sank into the pit of her stomach and for a moment she wondered if she would die down here. Evelyn had hated tight spaces, and looking around, finding no way out, she panicked slightly. Just going under someone's bed was a true struggle for her, now, being in this enclosed, darkened, environment wasn't helping.
She proceeded to close her eyes then and took deep, breaths, attempting to calm herself but her hand seemed to flinch nervously regardless.
She would need to find some sort of exit soon before she went mad. "W, we need ta get out of 'ere Eric." She stated as she stood up and then frantically began to pace about the space. Her eyes shot in all possible directions and her breathing became quick. "W, We need to find a way ta get out or somethin'..." she muttered.

Mark felt rather stupid when he was told the truth. He should have known all along. He smiled and received her kiss happily. He ran a finger along her face and smiled even bigger.
"You don't know how long I've been waiting to hear that from you."
He said as he leaned in and gave her a soft kiss. He backed away.
"What do you say we go and give Sam a visit Rhys? It could cheer him up a bit."
Mark got up out of the bed and picked Rhys up in his arms. After some difficulty opening the door they went out into the hall and to Sam's room. He opened the door and was surprised to find that no one was there.
"What in the hell!?"
He was quite confused. He looked around the hall and pointed to the open door. This was his room, but it contained no Sam.
"Hmmm...well I'm going to take you back to your room, you need some rest luv. Then I'll see if I can find Sam."
Mark took Rhys back to her room and made sure she was comfortable
"I shouldn't be gone long. See ya when I get back."
Mark said with a wink. He went above decks and found Sam.
"Bleedin' Christ! You're up and about! Am I glad ta see that!"
Mark gave the man a big hug.

Sam heard someone coming up behind him and he turned quickly. A smile took over his face when he saw it was Mark. He hugged him back and laughed loudly.
"I'm feeling much better now...you?"
Sam managed to say without too much trouble.
I'm great! I'm just so happy that you're fine. you don't know how scared I was. Whatcha up to?"
"Eric and Evy went back to the cave to get something...I was going to go back for some revenge, and to make sure they don't get into any trouble...it's a dangerous island. I want you to go with me."
Mark nodded and got all his gear and the two set out. When they got to the entrance to the cave they lit some torches and went in. There was a faint cloud of dust. They walked along silently and managed to kill a few of the cloaked men that were roaming around the cave. Suddenly Sam felt the ground leave his feet and he found himself falling downwards. He hit the bottom and cursed out loudly. Mark followed and they got up quickly and looked around. They could see two dark figures ahead of them. Sam tossed his torch and charged. He noticed it was Evy and Eric and stopped.
"Wha....What in the hell? Are you guys okay?"
Sam said slowly...Mark came up beside him and looked at them in amazment.

Rhys couldn't keep a smile from her face. That is until she found herself being left in her room, without even the ability to complain. Before she could even open her mouth, she had been plopped on the bed with Lucky, who had snuck out of Mark's room in Rhys's shirt, and left.
Doesn't matter how much I love him, I'm still going to kill him for continueing to leave me alone in this dang cabin! she thought angrily, her voice still to weak from the long stay below decks and then the long chats she had just had. Did I just say I love him? she asked herself slightly shell shocked. Doesn't matter, I'll figure that out after I kill him!
She slowly swung her legs up over the bunk. Her strength was slowly returning and it would be hard to get going, but she would. She slowly grabbed a flask of water and two daggers. It was time she went after the man. With Lucky perched on her shoulder, like a parrot, she made her way above decks. The going was slow, but it gave her time to take in the surroundings. She found that the boys had abandoned the ship, unless she was missing something.
With a small sigh, the theif made her way towards the island. This was her first time even seeing the place, let alone being on it. She had no idea where she was, no clue what ocean she was even in! Glancing around the island she let her shoulders sag, she had no idea how to find anyone. That is until, Lucky climbed down her side and started off in a random direction.
For such a small mouse, he went fast. Almost too fast for Rhys too keep up. She walked along as fast as she could, getting winded farely quickly. However, after some time the theif found herself coming upon a cave. Lucky picked his way through a maze of bodies. Rhys grew faint at the smell, as it added to her already draining strength.
The little mouse led her along until he came to a pit. The ground had fallen away and it looked farely fresh. The theif's gut was shouting at her and she responded by gathering what little voice she had left, "Anyone down there?"

Mark wondered what a place like this would be doing inside of this cave. It was man made that was for sure. His lungs ached from the intake of the dust. He could hear a faint voice from behind them. He snuck off to see what it was. He looked up the hole and noticed it was Rhys.
"Rhys? What in the name of all that is holy! How did you find this place? Jump down luv and I'll catch ya...promise."
Mark held his arms out and hoped that he wouldn't drop her, that would certainly drain all the trust from her. He noticed a little mouse standing on a rock and he smiled.
"I see Lucky came..."
He braced himself to catch her and wistled for the mouse. Lucky came down and took his place on Mark's shoulder.

Evelyn had been pacing and muttered quite incoherently for a few moments when she heard something from above them agian. "Bloody 'ell!" She yelped and jumped back slightly as tumbling from the hole above them came two other figures. For a moment, Evelyn plastered herself against the wall and made to reach for her cutlass. However, after dusting themselves off somewhat, Evelyn was finally able to make them out.
"Mark? Sam!?" Evelyn asked half in relief and half in utter surprise. Not able to hold her excitement back too well, Evelyn jumped onto Sam, embracing him warmly, "Bloody 'ell good ta see ye awake and up Sam!" She commented with a playful smirk. She looked him over a moment and could tell he wasn't in the best of shape yet.
Finally, looking around their surroundings, she felt her blood boil and pulse nervously once more. "Gah! Bloody 'ell you were s'pposed to be our rescue! We need ta get outta 'ere mates. I don' like the look of this place." She half muttered as her eyes gazed about, landed on Eric briefly, before she resorted to pacing again. Evelyn hated to admit it, but there was indeed something wrong with her. The darkness was overwhelming her and seemed to swathe about her far too tightly for her liking.
Her hand continued to twitch nervously as she paced. Wringing her hands, she attempted to steady herself, perhaps focuse in order to keep herself rational, but nothing was working at the moment. She stopped mid pace then, and froze, completely stuck in a horrible nightmare.
Evelyn felt out of breath and breathed in deeply and quickly. She suddenly felt as if the walls were closing in around her, the darkness was enveloping her, air was becoming scarce. Her honeyed eyes darted, completely avoiding Eric, or any other sign of life. Instead they scrounged for any meager signs of light. "We need ta BLOODY GET OUT OF 'ERE!" She growled backing into a wall continuing her almost wheezing breathing pattern.
Moments later, they heard Rhys' voice from above and she jumped slightly. "No! You damned fool Mark! Tell 'er ta get us the 'ell...." but it was too late, for as she retorted she heard as Rhys made her attempt downward into the hole and Evelyn rolled her eyes. "Bloody brilliant, jus' another mouth ta suck up the little air in 'ere..." she muttered.
Evelyn was exaggerating of course, but she only made bitter comments in order to keep herself from going insane. For a moment she looked up at Eric with pleading eyes, as if somehow he could make things better, for all she knew his simple, close, presence, might, but at the moment she was far too nerved to move at all.

Rhys stood staring down into the cave, shock written plainly on her face. Before she could even retort to what Mark had said to her, the ground started to crumble at her feet. With a yelp she jumped backwards away from the edge of the hole.
"Do you think I'm bloody stupid? I'm not about to go jumpin' into a small hole, even if you are going to catch me! What if there's no way out?!" she yelled down at Mark. "The only way I'm going down there is if I know that I can get out." Her voice began to crack and she tried to clear her throat to get it back.
She managed to catch the last of Eve's rant, or what sounded like a rant, and she let out a tiny laugh. "Don't worry Eve, you'll be out of there soon... I've just got to find some rope or something..." She moved even further away from the edge of the hole. Slowly she began to search the bodies scattered around. She needed rope to get them up, and she wasn't sure she had enough energy to get back to the ship for some.
"Disgusting," she muttered involuntarily shivering. She did not like having to touch dead men. Yet, such was the life of a pirate. Finally sure that the cave had no rope, she made her way back towards the hole. "There's no rope here, I'm going to-" The theif started but she was cut off as a man body slammed her into the wall.
She crumpled to the floor for a moment, already weakened. She lifted her head, a small trail of blood forming from where her head smashed against the cavern wall trickled down her face. Her eyes were set and determined, her mouth pressed into a thin line as she looked at the dark from of her attacker. Both hands fell to the daggers at her hips.

Mark gave up on trying to convince Rhys to get into the hole.
"Evy! Shut up! I'm sure there is a way out down here...do you really think there would be a secret room if there wasn't something secret in it?"
When he looked back up through the hole he saw a dark figure blitz past and heard a loud thud on the wall. He was confused for a moment.
"RHYS! RHYS!"
He screamed. He tried to climb out of the hole, but he couldn't get a good footing. He tossed his torch up to where Rhys was so she could see, if she was still concious that was. He continued to try and climb out of the hole. He managed to tear the nail from his right ring finger. He cried out loud and quickly wrapped it in some of his shirt.
"F***!"
He cried out painfully, this hurt worse than breaking his ribs, and even more than the pungee stick several years earlier. He still continued to climb out of the hole.

Evelyn had continued to remain rather huddled against the cave walls until her voice was spoken followed by rather unlikeable words and an even worse off tone. For a moment, she snapped to attention, and her honeyed eyes fell on Mark. No one, absolutely no one, ever told her to shut up!
"What was it ye bloody said ta me, boy?!" Evelyn barked as she slowly stood, her eyes on fired, and boring into him. She gave a slightly malicious smirk as she folded her arms over her chest. "Haha, well Mark, it looks as if yer dumber than I though'. Jus' because there's a bloody secret cavern down 'ere..." Evelyn began as she stalked towards him a bit heatedly.
"An' just because you bloody 'suspect' somethin's down 'ere doesn' necessarily mean there'll be an exit! For all we bloody know whoever hid the damned thing did so that no one would find it and anyone who did died tryin'! Ever think o' that!? An' don' you EVER go tellin' me to shut up!" She barked even louder.
By this point Evelyn was staring straight at him, her chin slightly forward and towards him, and her skin boiled. Muttering to herself she shook her head and paced around once more. He gave a cry in pain and Evelyn only rolled her eyes.
She stared towards him once more, tossing a glance at Sam as if seemingly attempting to decipher who's side he was on in this argument, and then she muttered further angry curses beneath her breath.

Mark was suddenly aware he was being yelled at. He turned quickly to the woman, ' what a loud mouth! ' he thought to himself.
"You're panicing woman! Over nothing! You don't know any more than me! We've only gone like 10 feet into the blimey tunnel! I told you to shut your mouth because I think you're having an anxiety attack or something!"
Mark calmed a bit and began to laugh at Evy. He began to laugh so hard that he had to sit down. He noticed Sam was looking at him funny.
"You are so damned funny when you're mad! If I didn't know better I'd say you were scared! And that you were closterphopic!"
He laughed loudly. He finally contained himself and stood up.
"Let's stop this bickering and start trying to find a way out of here...besides maybe we'll find a room full of gold or something...who knows."
Mark picked up a torch and began to walk down the narrow tunnel, still laughing to himself. It was dry and the air was stale, but it wasn't too cold, so the trip wasn't miserable, well at least not to him.
