::Jack smiled at Tobbs and nodded:: "Yeah...I'm confused a bit too..." He said in a undertone, and looked around deck::
::turning, he glanced out at the open water.....He could feel the wind, and knew the right route to take.....and how long it'd take to get there.....not long if the wind held and the temper of the sea of graceful........he hoped it was......:::
:::finally he looked back at Tobbs with a small grin:: "another adventure eh?" He laughed, with an attempt at humor. it was how he kept himself relatively sane. When confronted by overwhelming odds........laugh::
:::and it normally worked. This was just another adventure for him....after all the crew had done together this was nothing......wasn't it?::
"Don' worry, luv......Evelyn and Eric made me remember something.....an' I think it's worth a try...so we're gonna go east.....trust me, you'll like it there......nice weather.......good change....." He smiled.:: "an' gold too...might be worth it what do ye think?"

Rhys stiffled a giggle when whiskers tickled the back of her neck, and she smiled one of her first real smiles in some time. "I have no idea where we are, so there is no way I would be able to tell you where we are going, but I'm sure we'll find out soon." She took a bite of her soup and scanned her mind for penguins while she fished out a carrot for Lucky.
Holding the carrot out for the little mouse she finally answered Mark's question, "I'm sure I've heard of a penguin before, but I couldn't for the life of me tell you what it was. Sorry.."

Mark laughed a bit as Lucky ran up her neck. He gave a small giggle at her answer about penguins.
"I've never seen one either luv. But I've read about them. You see, when they mate they choose a partner, and they stay partners for life. So even in the animal world there is such a thing as love. If thier mate dies the other usually dies too...probably of a broken heart."
He took a deep soothing breathe and peered deep into her eyes. He was trying to unravel the mysteries within them. He suddenly snapped out of his trance.
"As long as we aren't heading for another jungle I think I won't mind a bit."
He said with a grin. He took a last sip of soup. It was really good, far better than he thought it would be...seeing as to how they weren't really concentrating on it that much when they made it.

Evelyn smiled a bit hesitantly at Eric's words but knew that no matter what she did it wouldn't help him any further, so she decided to drop the subject completely for the time being. Besides, he was right, she did want to get back on deck to scout the seas. As they made their way up Evelyn's eyes scanned the sparkling sea green and then she found her ears prick at the voice of the notorious Captain.
"East, eh?" Evelyn asked with a playful grin and made her way quickly to Jack's side. She slapped a hand on Jack's shoulder and smirked as the wind tossed her hair about. "An'....do my ears decieve me....gold?" she asked with a hand cupping her ear and looking to Eric. "Ye know gold's ALWAYS worth it Jack...you of all people should know that." She said as she gave him a wink. "Although 'xcept fer tha' one time back when we tried stealing more than we could handle on that Spanish ship, remember tha'? Nearly got ourselves blown ta pieces fer taking too long to load up an' leave, not that...well the ship HASN'T ended up blown to bits I guess..." she said as her voice dropped a bit upon the last few words.
"I want that Pearl back, Jack. It got far too homey, ye know? Bu' ye know...if we travel back in time...will we remember anything that took place after our ship sank? I mean...will we be losin' our memories of all this?" she asked lifting a worried brow and biting her nails a bit. Her eyes sought the horizon and her eyes squinted in the golden, glittering, orb that was the sun, her hand up shielding herself from its powerful glow for a moment and then directing itself back in her mouth to be bitten at and chewed.
Evelyn hadn't thought of that factor until just now that the words came spilling out of her mouth and she looked up towards Eric, searching his face to figure out what he thought about all this.

:::Jack looked at Evelyn a moment and smiled, recaling the incident....then shook his head when she questioned him about their memories::
"I don't know, Evy....but....maybe if we didn't it'd be a blessing......some memories are to dark for you to want to remember......if you get my meaning..."
::He sighed and went back to the wheel and guided the ship along into the strong wind.......The wind was sweet and warm.......it'd be nice to sail on this path a while:::
(OCC- let's get this party movin' maties.....)

*Eric followed Evelyn over to Jack and listened silently as the two of them spoke together. He reached out and rubbed her back for a brief moment when she mentioned wanting the Pearl back and how it had become too homey. When he was only twelve years old his own home was set on fire and burned to the ground, taking his little sister with it. It was a painful thing to loose the one place you called home and he knew exactly how she must feel. Especially Jack.
He folded his arms and rocked on his heels when suddnely she questioned if they'd loose their memories. When their eyes met he knew exactly what she was referring to. He hadn't thought about that before but now that she mentioned it, he really rather hoped their memories would remain. He rather enjoyed the last few memories in his head, with the exception of the loss of the Pearl.* Yeah some memories are better left forgotten. *He said, glancing at Jack. Then he grinned and winked at Evy.* But some should certainly be remembered. *He added then turned on his heel and walked over to the riggings to make himself useful on deck.*

Evelyn looked downward a bit as Jack spoke to her, her eyes searching about the decks, before her head tilted back up to look at Jack with a smirk. "Too dark to remember, true...but then again...there are those tha' ARE precious and I wouldn' give anythin' in the world to lose." She said simply. Her eyes shot to Tobbs for a moment and then gave a nod to Jack and turned away, feeling Eric's presence gone to do other work.
Her eyes passed out to the seas for a few moments and Evelyn stood there, closing her eyes, and simply took a long, deep breath. This was what she wanted, what she loved, forevermore...the sea...
The gentle rocking of the ship lulled Evelyn almost into a state of security. This was where she belonged, and upon opening her eyes and looking over her shoulder to spot Eric, she frowned slightly. She had brought him here...her...if anything should happen to him because of all this Evelyn wasn't sure what she would do, how she would survive.
It was then that she made for the mast, slipping off her boots, Evelyn made to scramble over the riggings, her hair flowing in the rough winds that began to whip up. It was a move previously Evelyn had never enjoyed watching Eric do, although he did try. He just wasn't practiced enough to go scrambling around on riggings, at least not nearly as fast as she did.
The sea glittered and Evelyn took but a moment to soak in the beauty of it all before climbing into the crow's nest and curling there. A small spyglass lay inside and she took it up to view the horizons. The gulls were far behind them now, barely dots on the otherwise completely azure blue skies.
It was really relaxing really, being bathed in the warm sunlight, her eyes on the horizon, and the slow rocking of the sea. It took her back to few moments in her life when she felt simply at peace, enough of them to at least count on her hand.

(( Sorry lads and lasses for being gone so long. I've been sick an' all-- Well here I go!))
She was lying near the bow. Her hands were folded at her chest. She closed her eyes to the rythmic pattern of the boat. Back and Forth. Back and Forth. Her lips curled up into a soft smile. Her eyes were still closed and with no vision, took everything in without opening her eyes. The sounds. The smells. The tingly feeling that crept up her spine every time the ship creaked.
Maria opened her eyes. Her eyes glittered with soft laughter. " One cannot possess radience.." She spoke softly referring to her surroundings. "... only admire it..." She closed her eyes and breathed deeply.
(( Sorry guys-- Tell me if my post is wrong in some way or another then I will edit it))

:::Puck being Puck watched the crew with some level of curiosity. and as Evelyn was the only one of them who seemed to be willing to speak to him at all...it was her he went after:::
"fine breeze isn't it?" He said, popping into veiw and hovering next to her with a sort of half smirk of his face. Inhaling deeping he crossed his legs in midair and titled his head to look at her.::
"so answer me this...why was the Black Pearl so special?" He was honestly curious. "I mean...there's plently more ships in the sea.....Surely Jack..and all of you could just get another one......"

*Eric stood up and stretched his back a little as it began to ache from too much bending and lifting. Glancing over his shoulder he grinned, watching Evelyn scramble over the riggings as if they were no less solid than the deck. He'd given that sort of thing a try or two before but all they resulted in was a fall and a heafty bruise the next day. It surprised him honestly how agile she was on a ship, considering she wasn't the most graceful of creatures. He figured that was why he couldn't do it, he had no grace and he was a rather large guy.
With a soft laugh he returned to what he was doing. He was best with both his feet on something solid anyways, so he made himself useful on the actual deck. Out of the corner of his eye he caught Puck hovering next to the crows nest where Evelyn was at. Eric grunted, wondering if at any moment he'd hear a scream and see a snowfall of flowers come pouring from the crows nest. There were two things he figured he had to thank the strange guy for later and that was getting them another ship and putting Evelyn in that very first outfit. With this thought he laughed and threw himself into his work, tipping his head as if trying to listen in on the conversation above him.*

::Puck quirked an eyedbrow and glanced down towards Eric, seemingly guessing what he was thinking:::
::Just to test his theory he dropped a few flowers over Eric's head, but kept his attention focused in on Evelyn.::
"I mean to say...this Black Pearl..was a ship. A ship like so many others..build pretty much the same way.....nothing in particular to make it stand out....other then the sails....so what was it....?"
:::Puck, being a elf or fae..whatever you chose to call him, didn't have what humans would call a home and therefore it was a bit of a puzzle to him:::
::Of course he didn't say this outloud...but he didn't think he'd have to explain things. he'd never understood a human's attachment to a home or a place anyway....:: "I just do'nt understand it." he said quite honestly:::

((OOC: Aw...this one's a bit of a sentimental post...*prods Puck for bringing up the 'meaning of the Pearl' subject and thwaps him* Enjoy...*cackles*))
Evelyn had been softly humming an old tune when Puck had caught her off gaurd. She jumped a bit and then allowed a smirk to slowly fixate itself in place. "Puck mate...ye have ta stop doin' that ta me, one day I won't take a second look at ye and THEN you'll be in trouble." She said with a laugh. Her eyes looked out to the horizon as he mentioned the breeze and she merely gave a nod in return. "Aye...beautiful time to be out at sea I think..." she said with an almost dreamy tone to her voice.
She folded her arms and laid her head upon her arms as she looked up at Puck. As he asked about the Pearl Evelyn lifted her brows, almost surprised to hear someone ask her that. The Pearl was never questioned, never really talked about much in sentimental terms. She supposed everyone had their reasons. In a sense the Pearl was something special to them all, her eyes peered over the crow's nest down at Jack as he steered the ship on and she gave a small smirk and a shrug.
As she began to open her mouth to answer him a small shower of flowers fell down over at Eric and she laughed a bit too loud. Eric immediately looked up towards them either in concern or in anger, she wasn't sure, but nonetheless she gave a little wave down at him and called out to him. "How do ye like the flowers?" she asked and gave a bit of a giggle. Her honeyed eyes drifted to Puck for a moment and a mischivious glint entered them. "Ye know mate, I think we just might get ta be good friends in the end." She said with a devilish grin.
It was then that she stood up a bit and leaned her arms on the side of the crow's nest. "Well...the Pearl...'m not sure what ta tell ye really. I've got my reasons tha's for sure...I mean...its the only home I've had outside my father's shop...the only haven I found at sea. Truth be told I don' really have a great relationship with all pirates and ships and whatnot..." she said with a long sigh and running her hand through her curls.
"I thought I'd never find a home, never find anything...then there was the Pearl, and its Captain of course. Jack gave me a home when he took me in, although he did give me a good bark or two when I got out of line," she said with half a laugh and a small playful glitter in her honeyed eyes. "but he was always there for me. Made sure I had food in me, even when I didn't want any, sprang me out of jail twice...and the Pearl's always been our home. When things got rough, we all sort of congregated here, so I guess...hope." Evelyn stated with a finality in her tone.
"Yeah, tha's it. Hope. I had none before I found the Pearl and Jack. So for me its more than just a ship mate. Its much more and I'm gonna fight ta get it back. As for JACK, well ye'll have ta ask him. One can't ever guess what's goin' on in Jack's head tha's fer sure." she said with a small chuckle and standing up straight. "The man's a maze...no...a maze WITHIN a maze...if that's possible...stuff in some rum, a pistol, and a bloody slap or two an' ye have Jack." She stated in a humorous way.
Her eyes drifted down to Eric briefly and she smiled again. The Pearl eventually also brought Eric and she together also, and for that she'd always be in debted to it.

::Now Puck looked interested as Evelyn spoke and he considered this revelation of a home of sorts. A home that always moved about on the open sea..........::::
"Well then it's not really a home...as in a place.......but a home in the people who are on the ship?" He said, thinking outloud. "But then again...all your friends and loved ones are here upon THIS ship...and yet here you are, seeking a way to regain your old ship...so the ship itself is symbolic of all your friendships?"
::Puck really was on a bit of a roll....He glanced down at Eric and looked at Evelyn, a smile flickering over his face:: "You know.....I can change his clothing too.....just for the sake of laughter....."
::he wagged a finger in Eric's direction:: "I see frills and purple in his future, what do you think?" Puck's eyes shone bright green as he pondered over the general idea::::

As Puck spoke Evelyn's eyes only lingered on Eric for most of his chat until he mentioned something about Eric's clothing. "Purple? Frills?" Evelyn looked up with a good amount of shock upon her face, a mischievious glint, and then a smirk. "Haha...the madness of it all...it could quite possibly pass off for brilliance." Evelyn beamed as she looked downwards at him and grunted. "It would teach HIM not to wear low cut shirts tha's fer damned sure..." she muttered at him staring at the horrible shirt had had dressed himself in.
Somehow however, mercy lingered in her heart, that and the fact that seeing him in purple frills would scar her for life were enough for her to beg Puck's restraint. "Ye know what though? I say we leave him. The poor bugger won' be too happy if he's decked out in bloody frills, the purple I'm not sure of...the frills...that's a definate no." She said with a small chuckle and pulling the curls away from her face that gently wafted in place.
With that Evelyn made to head down to the decks and smiled at Puck. "But yer right on 'bout yer assumptions 'bout the Pearl Puck. Just know its not fer nothin' that we're doin' all this for, savvy?" She said with a wink and then quickly made her way down the rigging and towards Eric.
Coming up from behind him she gave him a slight jab in the back and then wheeled her way directly in front of him. "Getting hard to work I see." She commented as her eyes fell on the current knotting he was working on. "Ye know I always like ta see ye sweatin' a bit...besides...you were starting ta get a bit lazy there for a second..." she said with a smirk as she brushed away a few more curls and sat upon the edge of the ship with one leg over each side and biting her nails as she looked out towards the seas.

:::Puck frowned overly dramatic:: "Well fine...I'll let him off this time..." He said with a dignifed sniff and waved to Evelyn as she went below towards Eric. "But just this once!" he called after her.:::
:::This said he flew down towards the Turners and gave the baby boy a gentle pat on the head.:: "cute lil' thing isn't he?" He smiled quite fondly at James, who gurgled and waved a tiny fist at him. Puck grinned.:: "Wonder how he'll turn out...." he said idelly. "With the only eunuch Father in the Caribbean and spitfire mother.....and a crew of pirates as uncles and aunts......poor kid..." He laughed a bit:::
